Takamagahara West There were many routes into the deeper parts of Takamagahara. Straightforward assaults pushing further and further in, random teleporters strewn throughout the facility taking one to unexpected locations or perhaps even the paths less traveled. How you got here mattered less than that you did however, for in front of the trio that had made it to this location stood a new threat entirely. Perhaps two. Where the lines between one and the other laid, or even if they were there at all, was unclear.
Zen gardens had given way to deep jungles and then once more to a clearing lit by a brightness that felt just a bit off, not unlike the feeling provoked by the perfectly circular shape of the clearing itself. Trees and mushrooms alike marked the boundaries yet they were not the focus, no, it was what laid within the clearing that caught the eye.
Two serpentine reptilian Nomu coiled and circled, phasing into and through one another until it was impossible to tell where one ended and the other began if there was even a distinction left to be made. Dark green scales turned pale and pale scales turned dark green as they twisted and turned, two pairs of eyes intermittently scanning the surroundings. Like those of a chameleon each of the four eyes moved independently from each other.
Where the gaze of the dark green one passed the gently swaying grass slowed and even halted entirely, a surreal stillness taking hold on it until the eye moved past. Under the watching eye of the pale one it instead withered away in moments and regrew, the grass's natural lifespan having progressed all the way to the end and new grass having regrown where it once stood. When the trio of Farrin, Jack and Arc found their way into the clearing the serpentine Nomu acknowledged their presence with a shriek not unlike a whale's call, the sound echoing through the clearing time and time again as the Nomu began to act.
The dark green head's left eye turned to look upon Jack, the effects of which would be noticeable only when he acted. The pale head's right eye in turn gazed upon Farrin and here too the effects weren't seen just yet.
What was an immediate threat however was what happened next. The pale head's maw opened and from it shot three spherical globules of spit into the air that drained the life from all it passed near. Unsurprisingly each was aimed at one of the three.
Would they all persevere or would this first strike cause them to falter? Only time could tell...
TL;DR:
-You arrive in a perfectly circular clearing amidst trees and mushrooms, finding what seems to be a pair of serpentine dragon Nomu. -The Pale Head appears to have the ability to progress things while the Dark Green Head appears to have the ability to cause stagnation. -The Dark Green one looks at Jack while the Pale one looks at Farrin, the effects of their gaze upon the two students yet unknown. -A liquid orb fires towards Farrin, Jack and Arc each. The orbs appear to drain the life out of whatever it passes close to causing it to whither away.

[attr="class","Farrin"] [attr="class","KC1"] [attr="class","FarrinBG"] [attr="class","FarrinTop"] [attr="class","FarrinContent"] It was the transcendent, celestial dance of light that broke through the thicket and drew Farrin from the earthy maze. After he fell from the zen garden into the swirling black of the pit and the ensuing battle, the Time-Turner paved his way further into the facility. The path, however, grew entangled by wooden spires for trees framed in emerald. No longer. Instead, the labyrinth's winding, endless trail was broken by the scintillating lights that radiated from the creatures and opened into a rounded clearing.
The glade was bathed in the Nomu's ethereal presence and smelled of petrichor and cedar. Farrin's gaze never parted from the beasts floating above the expanse. Two others entered the field only moments after—one he recognized as Jack, his classmate. That brought some assurance, at least. Majestic though the creature or creatures were, in Takamagahara, they could only represent more obstacles placed in the heroes' path by the Elementalist.
"Alright yuh' wee beasties, let's dance," he murmured, watching their gazes still and kill the dale.
If Chronokinesis met their gaze, and these things truly possessed time quirks, they might have some temporal disjunction on their hands. Maybe. Time-related quirks were a rare thing. And maybe these creatures' quirks had nothing to do with time. Hopefully, that was the case.
When the three deathly spheres were spat in the trio's direction, Farrin waved his hand and mustered a massive wall of temporal deceleration ahead of them, which held for a moment, perhaps slowing the spheres. Then, the air cracked as Farrin kicked up his temporal acceleration and blasted to his side. The temporal deceleration field collapsed after a beat, and then Farrin fired. One shot after another, he fired rounds from his wrist cannons toward the pale serpent's eyes. Definitely time to dance.

[attr="class","alpha"] [attr="class","beta"] "I don't give a fuck,"
"You don't have to love me~" "Don't need to change,"
"I'm good the way I am~" ~Great, another fucking dragon~ Arc wasn't sure he agreed with the comment that echoed in his mind from Whisp as he entered the clearing, but he chose to remain silent as he noticed two other raiders had made it here. He wasn't sure if the creature in front of them could be classified as a dragon, but he was already eyeing the other two as he realized the creature didn't seem focused on him. He didn't know them, but he hoped at least one could hit hard. As the creature attacked, Arc's two constructs shot out of his lower back and grabbed hold of two trees behind him before suddenly yanking him backward out of sight. At first it might have seemed like he had fled, but a moment later Arc sling-shot himself towards the other side of the clearing with his constructs, looking to try and split the creature's attention further. He stayed low as he landed and immediately turned towards the Nomu's side opposite the other two, his eyes on it's scaley hide. This was as good a time as any to answer a question on his mind. He had little to work with when it came to big shit like this thing, but he was going to have to take a little more risk this fight. As he dove towards the Nomu, his two tail-like constructs rose above him and took a form closer to a mantis's appendages, their edges hardening into blades as they swung down towards the Nomu's scaley hide as he neared and hacked at it. Besides trying to distract some of it's attention from the others, he also needed to know if he could even cut it, and there was no time like the present. Heavy breaths escaped the dragon man's maw as he trudged through the heavy thicket of trees around him. Up to this point, a lot of the going on his part was surprisingly very smooth, at least in comparison to a lot of the conflicts he had been hearing about on his earpiece. A lot of smaller creatures - Nomus, he recalled them being called - in his way, but a lot of them didn't really stand a whole lot of a chance against him. For most people, that would probably make it seem like maybe things wouldn't be so bad.
For Jack, all it did was make the pit in his stomach grow heavier by the moment.
As he began to see lights through the trees, hearing the call of what almost sounded like a whale, he bit his lip, bracing himself for what was probably to come. Taking a deep breath, and slapping himself on both sides of his face, he nodded to himself before quickly racing into the clearing.
Eyes slightly widened at the sight of the creature - creatures? - before him. It would almost look beautiful if it weren't absolutely abhorrent in origin. Well, it wasn't exactly the first time at this point that Jack had faced some sorta man-made monstrosity. All that mattered was taking this thing down before it caused trouble for everyone else. Nothing more, nothing less. An uneasy grin formed on Jack's face as the dark green side of the creature glanced over in his direction.
A weird feeling washed over the dragon man - a bit hard to describe, but also something he knew probably to steer away from if he was smart. Luckily, he had the right tool for the job in this case.
In one moment, Jack would be glaring right back at the creature as he approached, devilish grin and all. The next, where he was would be only a glitter of cosmic energy. Teleporting to the other side of the creature, Jack would aim a hand towards one of the nearby trees. Launching a Vine Whip towards a branch, he would quickly launch himself into the air, swinging around from tree to tree, trying to get a good aim on the creature below.
After a couple of moments, Jack would aim a couple of fingers towards the dark green dragon, firing off a shot towards it's left eye! Another deep breath, before glancing over in a familiar face's direction. Once again, he would teleport before the creature could immediately retaliate, only narrowly avoiding the liquid orb of death that had been heading in his direction.
Appearing besides Farrin, hands on his hips as he would mainly be looking at the creature before them. "Oberon. 'Sup?" he greeted casually, grinning like he didn't have a care in the world. "What do ya think of this bastard? And before ya ask, no relation here. 'Least, not as far as I'm aware." Cocking his head to the side, looking the creature up and down more closely. "...Probably," he added, suddenly not looking too certain. For all he knew, the Elementalist captured a long lost family member of his and made them into this thing.
But that was probably more nerves getting the better of him.
-Entered the area through the thicket. -Weird feeling glare, but Jack would teleport away before too long. -Ended up on the other side of the Nomu, using a Vine Whip to get himself airborne. -Once enough time had passed and he had a good shot, would fire off a quick Chaos Energy shot towards the dark green half's left eye! -Glanced towards Farrin's general area before teleporting again over to him. -Touched base with Farrin, wanting to hear his thoughts on the Nomu. -CasualJackJokes.mp3 -Hadn't noticed Arc in the area quite yet.

Takamagahara West Progression and Stagnation. Two opposing forces, like chaos and order, past and future, life and death. Yet neither were ever found in isolation, one leading to the other and the other leading back to the one over and over for the entirety of existence. As the trio began to react to the intertwined Nomu they would soon begin to experience just what these all-encompassing concepts were capable of.
Progression. The advancement of all existence. When the Pale head locked its gaze on Farrin the time-turner's field appeared as normal but the effects were far from the same. They did not slow the approaching projectiles. They sped them up. Shooting forward so fast that they were but a blur anything that the globules passed by would find the very life drained from them, the increased speed fortunately sparing one from being exposed to their effects for long enough to truly take grievous damage. What it would do however was make them feel weary, like they'd just run a marathon or had forgotten to drink for an entire day. Their skin might dry and their lips might crack depending on how close they were, the sensation of being in a desert without water appearing and vanishing along with the globules, only the aftereffects staying. One thing was clear. They had left their mark on the path they passed. Stripes of desiccated grass meters across, completely brown and dull for any that were uninterrupted and partially drab yellowy for the ones that had passed through the field.
Stagnation. The slow end of the entirety of creation. The Dark Green head's stare honed in on Jack, chameleonic flicks of the eye letting its observance persist through teleportations. When the draconic mutant would teleport the first time it would take just the slightest bit longer, stagnation holding him in place, tearing and ripping at every molecule that was teleported as motion warred with stillness. The strain it caused could be masked by adrenaline, the heat of combat turning focus outwards instead of inwards, but the mistake was made. One that would reveal another facet when a laser was fired, or attempted to be fired at least. For the laser did not travel far once it left Jack's control. In fact, it moved so slowly that it detonated right beyond the point where it'd left his hand moments later. When he teleported a second time it was even slower than the first, stagnation's metaphorical claws grasping tightly to halt all motion and creating an almost second long delay before he snapped over to Farrin. Nearly a second of being torn between two locations. Adrenaline might just be enough to maintain composure for a moment, the pain too being slow to arrive, but it was a flimsy shield. Such damage could not be ignored for long.
During the actions of the trio of combatants the Nomu did not stay still, their motions seeing them coil and curl further as they hovered above the ground, sometimes orbiting each other horizontally, sometimes vertically. The Pale head of Progression's right eye turned away from Farrin and towards Arc as its head turned with its form, the gaze beginning to fully solidify his bloody constructs as he approached. Right after the Dark Green head of Stagnation's right eye turned upon the Pale head of Progression causing its motions to suddenly grind to a halt and both the projectiles fired by Farrin to harmlessly clink off its head and the rapidly hardening blades of Arc to bounce off like stoppable forces that had met an immovable object.
From above the bulwark of the frozen Pale half the Dark Green side's scales bristled, shaking for a moment before a rain of them fired in all directions as if a pinecone had just exploded. Dozens upon dozens of scales flew in all directions, their edges sharp enough to cut steel and with enough force to penetrate half their two inch long length into the ground. Wherever they landed the immediate area around them began to stagnate, grass swaying slower and anyone that would find themselves hit finding the place they took damage responding with less alacrity than before. The effect radiated no more than a few inches away from each scale and should the scales be shattered they'd fade but as it was they created a veritable hazard zone full of tiny 'bubbles'. Trying to rush through them would be akin to kicking a cement ball or getting one's foot caught on a cord unexpectedly, an unpleasant experience to be sure and potentially deadly in the heat of combat.
The trio's first attack had failed, one could only hope the next attempt would be more successful.
TL;DR: -Progression's gaze causes Farrin's slow field to become a speed field sending the projectiles hurtling at their targets faster -Stagnation's gaze causes Jack's teleportation to rip and tear while slowing his laser enough they detonate on the spot. -Progression's eye switches from looking at Farrin to looking at Arc, beginning to solidify the blood that's been externalized. -The second eye of Stagnation gazes upon Progression turning it into an immovable object that is seemingly immune to damage. -The Dark Green head of Stagnation then proceeds to dozens of sharp scales all over the place, capable of cutting deep and slowing the area several inches around them (slow effect vanishes if the scales are broken), creating a hazardous field of slow 'bubbles' from any scales that miss the trio.
Current Targets of Progression's Gaze:Left eye: None Right Eye: Arc
Current Targets of Stagnation's Gaze:
Left Eye: Jack Right Eye: Progression

[attr="class","Farrin"] [attr="class","KC1"] [attr="class","FarrinBG"] [attr="class","FarrinTop"] [attr="class","FarrinContent"] Stasis and change, that's how Farrin viewed it. It was an evermore conflict between the need for stillness, comfort, and the safety of firm bedrock beneath one's feet and the pursuit of innovation, progress, and the exploration of the unknown. Two warring powers that seldom shared in peace. Yet, here and now, the two coexisted. They wove between one another in harmony—only in service to disorder. Farrin shared in measures of stasis and change, too. But that's where the similarities ended. Progress and Stagnation waged war with time. Now, it was time to fight.
A hundred blades blew in his direction. Razor-sharp scales with undulating distortions radiating around them. All too clear through a time-turned gaze. Farrin's right sleeve was worn, fibers broke, and his arm itched from the passing sphere earlier. It was just a heartbeat slower to rise and take aim, and that would cost him. He would repay the damage twofold.
The scale leading the charge in his direction after the explosive display slashed at his sleeve and cut into his arm, but Farrin kicked into the air. He would try to muster a temporal acceleration field of Jack, who seemed caught in the caustic serpent's gaze. If his temporal field won out, Jack might feel like an adrenaline shot before the world slowed around him. That was how Farrin's temporal accelerant was usually described. Then came the rain, the time-turner firing on as many scales as he could before pulling his aim upward toward the beasts.
"C'mon now, keep 'em eyes nice n' wide,!" Farrin murmured.
Blood trickled and seeped into the threads of Farrin's hero outfit, but his arm wasn't ruined yet. He lined up his shots, then fired. No holding back. He went with incendiary rounds, firing for each creature's face, hopefully hitting the eyes. The Pale one wasn't taking damage while under the caustic gaze—but that could be used against them. Either the green serpent had to continue protecting its ghostly brethren, exposing its eye, or it would pull back its impregnable barrier and leave its twin to take the heat. Hopefully, between this, and whatever Jack and the other fella mustered up, they could take the duo down a peg.
tldr: Farrin's right sleeve was eroded by the earlier sphere, then he took a hit from the flying scales along that arm. But, after jumping into the air, he tries to speed up Jack and starts firing on the launched scales, then switches to incendiary rounds and shoots at each Nomu's eyes.

[attr="class","alpha"] [attr="class","beta"] "We could start a fire,"
"Burnin' down the walls~" "Walkin' on a wire,"
"I would risk it all~" As he approached the Nomu, Arc became aware of Whisp's reaction to the gaze immediately as it turned it's head toward him. Whisp's constructs jerked to a stop for a moment and began to retreat back into his body as Arc continued forward, trusting his partner and focusing on making up the distance himself instead of relying on him. By the time he reached the Nomu, only what had been hardened, although far more than intended, was left outside of Arc's body as he attacked without hesitation. As he struck the Nomu's scales with his hardened constructs, he wasn't too surprised to find they seemed to do nothing, he was too preoccupied trying to adjust and think of something now that he had lost far more blood than he had meant to. However he had more things to worry about as a rain of sharp scales shot out from the creature's other self moments after he reached them, and even with his reflexes he had no chance to avoid them all. He flinched as he felt more than one slice into him on their way by, but he had been spared a direct hit. Feeling like time was of the essence under it's gaze, Arc ignored the injuries and focused on the pale head facing him as Whisp spoke up in his thoughts with a hiss. ~It's not moving, get the EYES!~ This was likely stupid, but Arc wasn't exactly known for conventional ideas or self-preservation to begin with. With a smirk Arc jumped toward the head, the mantis-arm constructs swinging down to hit the ground and throw him higher as he took a sudden leap of faith. He arced in the air and ripped off his jacket before trying to throw it down over the pale dragon's eyes, trying to take advantage of it being held in place by stagnation while he could. His injuries made his movements stiff, but he tried to compensate as much as he could in the moment with Whisp's help. If he succeeded, he aimed to land on the shirt, risking close proximity but at least trying to limit direct contact. It the same moment his constructs would swing down to try and hook around it's jaw and point at it's throat, both in the hopes of threatening it to keep stagnation's gaze on it, and also to try and lock himself and the blindfold in place and not be immediately thrown off if not. The moment that Jack attempted to teleport to the other side of the Nomu, he could feel an odd sense that he hadn't felt before, at least not during the other times he's used the gadget so far. Though, this wasn't exactly a normal field test or easy fight. Maybe adrenaline was getting the better of him, was all. Even if it took longer, Jack ended up brushing off as sheer hesitation. Gritting his teeth, his eyes narrowed as he would internally chastise himself.
This wasn't the time to get worried about a repeat event. There wasn't people around other than him and Farrin. So why was he getting so nervous?! Shaking his head, he got himself airborne using his Vine Whips, carefully aiming a shot at the dark green half's eye. However, this is quickly where he began to notice things starting to go wrong. As the chaotic energy battled with the effects of Stagnation, Jack's eyes widened as he realized quickly what was about to happen.
Looking towards Farrin, the dragon man would again focus on teleporting out of there, but he again felt a pause. Then, the ripping, as if the front half of his body was being torn from the back. Even if only for a moment, that shock of pain would cause the dragon to yelp. Teleporting towards Farrin nonetheless, Jack would make it just as the energy detonated. He could feel the massive, cold force hitting his side just as he warped. Huffing a puff of steam from his nose and stumbling just a little bit, he still grinned nonchalantly. Shoving the fear in his heart down as far as it could go, especially now as he realized what was going on.
"Pretty sure this bastard's rippin' off ya gimmick, amigo. Ya just gonna take that?!" he chirped at Farrin, cracking his knuckles as he began to charge up more energy.
The monster then began to do something odd - one eye on Stagnation would shift towards the other half, causing it to come to a complete halt. The weirder part, though - suddenly there was another guy. Blinking in confusion, not even remotely recognizing the crazy bastard as he would throw himself on top of the pale half's head, attempting to blindfold it while it was stuck in place. "Uh...he with you?" he asked Farrin, worry suddenly filling his eyes. He wasn't exactly counting on a crazy civilian in the area.
Then again, maybe crazy was what they needed right now.
Shifting his attention back to Stagnation, his eyes suddenly widened as the Nomu would start firing off scales from all over it's body! Feeling the rush of Farrin's Quirk flowing through his body, Jack would hold his hands up, firing off continuous shots towards as many scales as he could possibly comprehend in the split second reaction! Shards from the explosion would cut across Jack's face and body, but nothing so dire that he couldn't keep moving.
Glancing back at Farrin, seeing how he was holding up, his eyes would end up following the direction of where the other student was aiming, realizing what he was thinking. Following his lead, Jack would aim at Stagnation's eyes as well, firing off as a couple of shots from each hand, hoping that this time the shots wouldn't blow up in his face. He had an inkling that teleporting wouldn't exactly be a good idea for now, so.
-Initially mistook Stagnation's gaze as nerves getting the better of him. -Realized something was wrong the moment his energy started acting up, attempting teleporting away before the energy exploded. -Teleportation lag, made it out as the energy exploded, leaving minor damage on his side. -Finally notices Arc, what a crazy bastard! -Joined Farrin in firing at as many scales as he possibly could in the moment. -Shifted towards again firing at Stagnation's eyes with Farrin.

Takamagahara West Choices were made, some independently and others in cooperation. Yet in the heat of battle even the most tried and tested teams could get in each other's way. Arc, Farrin and Jack did not boast this advantage of having ingrained each other's patterns in their minds through battle after battle, they had to learn on the fly.
With less than a minute having passed since the battle began there had hardly been time for that.
Scales flew through the air in a wild barrage prompting an immediate response from every combatant. Farrin's projectiles shattered scales as they flew through the air, perhaps a perk of his experience dealing with speed alterations around incoming attacks. Impromptu teamwork was where the cracks began to show however. Boosting Jack's speed far above the human limit would undoubtedly worsen his internal injuries, yet bravado meant Farrin was perhaps unaware of those prior to attempting to assist and in the heat of battle one rarely had the opportunity to verify further, no, they could only trust in their teammates' capabilities to tell their own limits.
Jack's own attempts to shoot away scales were far less successful, for a large miscalculation had been made. The speed field certainly sped him up, yet his speed was not what Stagnation had affected. Shot after shot was fired yet they did not fly far, hanging just in front of Jack and detonating all at once when scales came to them setting off a chain reaction. Little more than shards of the scales would reach him as a result, if even that, but the dragon mutant's quirk did as chaos energy did. Within the span of a split second the force of every single shot he'd fired came his way.
When Arc leaped up in the air it seemed like the right call to make at first and certainly, it had an effect. Yet once more it was their lack of teamwork that caused the trio to get in each other's way.
When incendiary rounds came flying at the paired Nomu Stagnation's head turned to take it on the bottom of it's jaw, the motion enough to briefly force its eyes to scan for more danger and break its gaze at the same time as Arc's jacket obscured Progression's eyes and the incendiaries covered the head and cloth alike.
Twin pained whale calls rang out through the clearing at such a high volume they hit with nearly physical force just as Arc landed on top of the burning head.
As if the calls had been the starting signal both of the heads moved at the same time. Stagnation's eyes went from Progression to Arc and from Jack to Farrin, the way they affected the pair very different from each other.
When Stagnation's gaze fell upon Arc all efforts of Progression were undone, the hardened blood liquefying once more and refusing to harden, for stagnation locked it to its standard state. For Farrin this happened in a much more literal manner, as just like Progression had been moments before he'd find himself locked in place and invulnerable for so long as he kept his personal speed field active.
Progression at the same time writhed in pain, blindly charging at Jack and Farrin with its maw wide open while trying to shake Arc off. Stagnation was taken along for the ride, being dragged above and behind it as the Nomu sped towards their prey.
TL;DR: -Farrin manages to shoot down scales and land incendiaries on both Progression and Stagnation and uses a speed field to further cripple an ally. -Arc blinds Progression and then proceeds to jump into the fire -Jack hits himself with a Hellzone grenade -Stagnation's gaze lands on Arc and Farrin. For Arc it locks his externalized blood into a liquid state, for Farrin it turns his personal temporal field into an immovable object. -Progression charges at Jack and Farrin with its maw wide open while trying to shake off Arc.

[attr="class","Farrin"] [attr="class","KC1"] [attr="class","FarrinBG"] [attr="class","FarrinTop"] [attr="class","FarrinContent"] Farrin wiped some kicked-up dirt from his eyes and eyed the creature as Jack appeared at his side. The whole affair poked holes in the fabric of Farrin's training. Hours, days, weeks spent training, honing both his body, quirk included, and form, yet his commitment appeared to be his undoing. He only spent time with a small handful of his classmates, only on the rarest occasions, especially these days. Their singular battle at the end of the Beta simulation and a few other classes aside, Jack's tactics and abilities were lost on him. He knew the lad could hit hard, though, hard enough to keep up with SuperNova. That was something to work with.
"Gotta expect copycats in this line o' work," he replied, the slightest smirk crossing his visage. A little levity went a long way when facing the impossible. There was no time to answer Jack's next question as Farrin went to work with his prior strategy, blowing the scales out of the air and counterattacking with his incendiaries.
Time-dial eyes widened as Arc came into view, wormriding the fiery head of a draconic beast. Then came stillness. Absolute stillness. Unrelenting, unbending, immutable. An odd sensation, he felt the chaotic chain reaction below, but while locked in Stagnation's gaze, the cold flames of the void hadn't caused him any damage or redirected his fall. Neither could he turn to check on Jack. The creature was charging his way, and he couldn't feckin' move. What the hell was going on?
It clicked.
He was under the same effect as the pale dragon. The pale one forced his deceleration field into a superpowered accelerant earlier, and now the darker of the twin heads had him frozen like those blades of grass. The shimmering emerald and alabaster faded, and Farrin fell. One theory is confirmed. When the pale head locked its eyes on him earlier, it hadn't changed him—it changed his quirk. The way these beasts manipulated the world around them, different people included, varied.
Farrin landed a few meters ahead of where he stood a few moments prior. "How yuh' doin' over there?" He shouted back to Jack, eyes still locked onto the charging Nomu. "I've an idea, if yer good fer a big shot—like the one yuh' fired at SuperNova," he would continue IF Jack was still in fighting shape. "I'll try ta' slow it down if yer quirk is cooperatin', lob some o' those beams o' yers down that thing's throat!" Farrin hadn't witnessed the Nomu's effects on Jack's quirk, but their abilities became clearer.
"OI! GET OFF THAT THING!" Farrin shouted as loud as he could to Arc.
Then, Farrin charged. He popped the ammo feed around the wrist of his right gauntlet, pulled a handful of incendiaries from the device, and then shut it. With his free hand, he waved a temporal deceleration field into existence around the Nomu. If it worked as intended, the creature would glow with shimmering white and emerald and slow down. The field would only hold briefly, and the effect might remain for a second or so longer after it collapsed. In that time, Farrin lobbed the incendiaries into its open maw to add some extra kick to Jack's next shot. Arc would likely realize the opportune moment to attack after the field and its glow faded. Here's hoping the creature couldn't convert the field when it was summoned right on top of it. All he could do after that was get out of the way.
TLDR: Farrin responds to Jack. Is frozen in the air but feels the chain reaction / explosions below. He frees himself by shutting down his field and conveys his plan to slow the Nomu down to Jack. Farrin tries to shout / warn Arc off the Nomu, then tries to slow it down and chucks some incendiary rounds in its open maw, hoping to add some damage to any beam Jack fires. As Farrin's Quirk formed around Jack, while he could feel the adrenaline course through his veins faster than it had before, he could feel the pain in his side suddenly worsen a surprising amount. A sharp gasp would escape him, clutching his now quickly bruising side and gritting his teeth. Regardless of the pain, he knew damn well he had to take advantage of it regardless. A deep breath, maintaining his focus as he would zero in on the various scales that were heading his way. Unfortunately, Farrin's Quirk didn't negate the effects of Stagnation quite as he would have hoped they would. As he would attempt to fire off blasts towards the various scales, he would again see the effect that had transpired before, the shots floating in midair for a split moment. "SHIT!" he yelped, jumping back a fair distance away, quicker than he would have normally due to Farrin's Quirk. Crossing his arms in front of him, the Chaos Energy would again explode, making Jack skid back a good few feet. The cold, sharp pain sunk deep into his arms quickly, but at least he wasn't caught directly within the blast. "'Boutta start calling bullshit on whatever God thinks this is funny!" he snarled, baring his claws and his fangs in anger. That said, at least Farrin's and Arc's attacks had far more of an effect. Arc blinding Progression would prevent whatever effects it's glare would have, and Farrin managed to at least get Stagnation's attention off of Jack for the moment. He would quickly feel the heavy sensation that he had been feeling since he had arrived leave his body, the dragon boy quickly realizing that it was, in fact, the thing's stare that was causing his Quirk and the C.A.T.S. to malfunction. An evil grin started form on Jack's face as Farrin would yell over to him, especially as Progression would begin to blindly charge at him, maw wide open. "Oh, I'll give ya a lot more than what I did to Supernova..." he said, his chest starting to light up with the cosmic light of Chaos Energy, before quickly condensing into a golden hue. As the Nomu would charge towards Jack, the golden light would quickly grow and grow, just right until the Nomu would almost be right on top of him. Hopefully the blood guy would be well out of the way by this point, because things were about to get extremely more explosive. "MOVE, NOW!!!!" he would shout towards the blood-bender, knowing that he quite literally only had a split second to react. "HAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!"With a mighty roar, Jack would unleash a massive beam of energy right form his mouth! Assuming everything worked accordingly, the beam would fly right down the monster's gullet, before promptly exploding! Giving the force of a full power blast...yeah, explosion would be putting it nicely. The moment he would end up firing and ending his blast, Jack would quickly teleport out of the way! Landing right besides Farrin, Jack would quickly grab onto his arm, before quickly teleporting a fair distance away. He was hoping that the blood guy got well out of the way as well, knowing that he would really only have the time to grab one of them. At least, assuming everything panned out correctly.
-Jack's side wound would worsen under Farrin's Quirk, but at least he got a nice speed buff. -Quickly jumped and dodged the ensuing Chaos Energy explosion, crossing his arms in front of him to block the remaining explosions. -Cold pain HURTS. -Started to feel the effects of Stagnation wear off as the Nomu switched it's attention. -Charged up a powerful attack as Progression charged at him. -Fired a BEEG Mouth Beam right into Progression's maw, teleporting out of the way as he did. -Would attempt to teleport Farrin out of the vicinity assuming the attack landed correctly, and of course Arc was well out of the way.

[attr="class","alpha"] [attr="class","beta"] "Don't try to deny it,"
"You cannot hide it~" "I'll be ignited,"
"When I get to watch you burn~" As Arc watched flames spread over his jacket he blinked but otherwise made no attempt to avoid the fire, landing on his jacket as planned and pinning it to the creature's eyes. As Whisp returned to a liquid-state, one of Arc's tail-like constructs immediately tightened it's grip on the creature's throat, the other shooting upward as the creature charged towards the other two. Rather than focus on trying to figure out what was going on with the creature's eyes, Arc left it to Whisp and kept his focus on adapting to the moment. As such, the moment he heard shouting Arc glanced up and immediately began to move. The construct holding onto the creature suddenly let go, instead slipping forward to hold the jacket down as Arc jumped in time with the second construct shooting downward toward the ground. With a smack the end of the construct hit the ground and, with the help of the other one, launched the air-borne Arc upward away from the pale head. As he sailed through the air, Arc prepared and tucked himself into a protective ball just in case whatever was about to happen still reached him. at the same time the construct on the ground immediately began to retract and follow Arc, however the one pinning the jacket merely began to rapidly thin instead, holding the jacket in place until the moment of impact. Takamagahara West With the burning jacket held tightly over its head by Arc Progression's eyes remained shut. Little did it know that they would never open again, for the trio had set up a devastating combo indeed.
Robbed of its sight the serpentine Nomu charged headfirst into the trap, utterly ignorant as to its fate until it was already caught in the slow field with its maw wide open. The laser flew right in.
With a flash that was first seen, then felt and finally heard a tremendous explosion tore the beast asunder. Concentrated within its maw the power of progression caused both incendiary and laser alike to go off at the same place. The results were positively catastrophic. Like a flower in bloom the fiery explosion sprouted from within and blasted Progression's head apart entirely, nought but a charred hollow remaining where its neck had connected to it.
Through the fire and flame the headless corpse kept going as the snow field snapped off, crashing through the place Farrin and Jack had teleported away from and continuing all the way to where they'd stood before, green grass and brown soil flying through the air as it carved a furrow into the ground.
Stagnation's gaze too was briefly broken as the smoke kicked up by the explosion forced it to close its eyes. It did not remain so for long however. Dragged behind Progression's corpse Stagnation's gaze whirled to face Jack and Farrin, locking them in its sight even as it coiled and turned to move past Stagnation's remains. It's head sat lower than its body, spine bent forwards as its scales began to bristle.
With its muscles bulging it heaved the body of the headless Nomu in front of it, eyes barely peeking over, while it let out a loud roar and opened fire. Scales fired off its form in waves with only a few seconds in between the barrages. Arc, Farrin and Jack had struck a devastating blow, yet the fight was not yet over. A moment's carelessness was all it would take to turn the tides against them once more.
TL;DR: -With Arc keeping Progression blinded and Farrin catching it in a slow field Jack's laser lands fully, their combination attack blowing the beast's head to smithereens! -Briefly blinded by the explosion Stagnation's eyes shut before reopening and locking Farrin and Jack in its sight. -Dragged along by the headless body Stagnation continues all the way past where Farrin and Jack had been standing. -It then flies over Progression's body, hoists it up in front of it and begins to fire a barrage of scales at the trio in waves. Each wave of scales flies out with only seconds in between them.

[attr="class","Farrin"] [attr="class","KC1"] [attr="class","FarrinBG"] [attr="class","FarrinTop"] [attr="class","FarrinContent"] Success was accompanied by the nexus of dust, stone, and blood that spurt into the sky. The Nomu tumbled forward, half lifeless, momentum dragging it right in Farrin’s direction. He was running out of the beast’s path. Then he was gone. From a distance behind it now, he watched the creature crash as its momentum died.
Instant disorientation. Somehow, Jack had teleported them with a touch. A sensation Farrin was quite accustomed to. He set his hand on the side of his head and stilled his mind. He latched onto the confusion and wrestled into mental submission. A dozen questions sprang from the mental hold, but time, as always, was of the essence.
In the distance, the Nomu recovered itself, bringing its twin’s corpse to bear. Danger. Farrin sensed it—felt it before he saw it. “It’s no’ done yet. Get down!” Sanguine eyes scanned over the field just as the scales burst. On the opposite side of the earthy hollow left in the Nomu’s wake, he saw Arc.
It all happened in a blink, but even outside of his temporal state, Farrin’s reactions were nothing short of supernatural. He leaped just ahead of Jack, using his larger physicality to occupy as much space as possible. With one hand, Farrin mustered a circular temporal deceleration field a few meters ahead of Arc. Jack would lose the acceleration field he had been gifted as Farrin also summoned his personal field.
The scales shattered against Farrin’s pesonal field, the boy unmoving, unflinching under the assault. Just as Stagnation’s gaze had made Progression invulnerable earlier, so too did it fortify Farrin’s field. Hopefully, the deceleration field, slowing the scales moving in Arc’s direction, would give the lad some defensive options as well.
When the assault ended, Farrin dropped his personal field and lifted his arms. He fired his linear cannons in the Nomu’s direction. Well… he tried to. One click. Then another. And then a third. Nothing. The Nomu’s effects were choosy.
“Well, no other option then,” Farrin murmured. “Right then, I’m bashin’ that things’ eyes out!” They didn’t have time to coordinate properly, but if the others knew of his intent, they could act accordingly.
He always preferred using his hands.
Farrin sprinted ahead. He wasn’t nearly as fast without his personal field. Hours under chronokinetic training had the same effect on his musculature as days. Factor that together with a lack of rest days, and his leg muscles were pretty much constantly torn. Still, he charged forward, then leaped onto the progression’s hovering corpse. He climbed the creature scale by scale until he was level with Stagnation, then leaped for the monster’s eyes. Farrin mustered his considerable strength together and thrust it behind the lightning bolt of his right hook. Whatever he hit was bound to break.
tldr: Farrin throws a deceleration field ahead of Arc to slow oncoming scales in his direction, then fires up his personal field in front of Jack—using the invulnerable properties of Stag's gaze to protect them both. He tries to return fire with his wrist cannons but finds they don't work, so he charges the Nomu. He climbs Progression's side until he's level with Stagnation, then leaps for the darker serpent's eyes, trying to gouge one out, or otherwise inflict big damage, with a punch. [attr="class","alpha"] [attr="class","beta"] "We started from below,"
"Through the ashes down from the dirt~" "Running from the cold,"
"Drawn to fire, love when it burns~" As Arc sailed through the air, the tail-like construct that had retreated with him hit the ground bellow, softening the fall as Arc landed in a crouch a little ways away. He was winded and his body was screaming, but a grin was plastered to his face as he watched the headless horror collapse. One down, one to go. The victory was short-lived though, and before Arc could enjoy it he was suddenly tensing as the green one roared. He knew full-well something was coming but his body felt heavy and he was slow to react. The lack of blood hid his injuries well, but frankly if he had normal blood he'd likely be dead, and he knew it. He was no stranger to living on borrowed time, but there was only so much he could achieve with willpower alone, and his body was nearly at it's limit. Besides that, if Whisp became too exhausted to manipulate itself, Arc would start to bleed, which would currently be really bad. He had barely gotten himself into a standing position before the scales began to fly. ~Rip.~ Despite the sarcastic growl in Arc's mind, both of Whisp's constructs were already moving. What was left of the thin construct that had held the jacket down shot out to grab hold of the pale-one's dead body, while the other one closer to Arc rose into the air above him. Arc, however, was instantly aware he was too slow. He braced himself to jump but he knew he didn't have enough time before the scales reached him, until suddenly he did. The brunette man's quirk had slowed the scales coming at him, and Arc didn't think twice before taking the time he was given and jumping to get moving again. Immediately he was mobile once more as the construct above him swung downward into the ground, launching him back into the air as Whisp took over. The thinner construct holding onto the corpse suddenly yanked Arc as he went airborne, retracting back into his body as it pulled him towards the Nomu. He twisted to avoid the last of the scales and drew his daggers before landing near the top of the dead nomu's side opposite Stag's head, remaining low to keep the pale body between him and the green nomu's eyes. Being low on time, he did not take the chance for granted. As the other two moved to attack, Arc took an all-or-nothing stance, knowing this could very well be their last chance to take out the remaining head. Both of his constructs had vanished back into his body by the time he had landed, but as he reached his hand closer to the top of the creature a construct suddenly appeared from one of the cuts on his arm left from it's scales. This one was more than double the size of any he had used thus far, shooting out to curve into the shape of a large scythe before hardening along the length of it's blade. Arc felt the familiar rush of lightheadedness as Whisp used his full size, but he held on like a stubborn burr as the scythe suddenly swung down in time with the other Raiders. Instead of going for the eyes, it was aimed at the corner of the Nomu's mouth, it's curved blade hooking to try and pierce the roof of it's mouth near the back of it's throat.
