The Field
"Ugh, you humans are so chatty and always telling secrets!" the bird quite literally chirped as its volley of feathers landed around the duo. It dove into dodging the first lightning bolt coming it was before continuing, "It doesn't matter since you're gonna die like all the res-" its voice was cut off as the crack and flash of the second blue lightning flew towards it. While it didn't get bisected, it did have one of its wings get cleanly pierced through; with an ear-piercing screech, it began to plummet to the ground cursing the whole way down obscenities.
Before it hit the ground or was intercepted by Kozue, its plumage flared up as all the feathers stood on end, sharp and resembling a porcupine. If caught it would surely cause deep wounds but if not it would hit the ground, and once it recovered, it would hone in on Noa. "Idiot! I'm gonna skewer you alive, and then my subordinate will carve you all to pieces! Even the Electric human can't harm it! Not while it's grounded!" it charged forward, aiming to embrace Noa in a way she surely wouldn't appreciate IF she wanted to continue living.
The clang of the feathers did a good job of distracting the wyrm as it temporarily diverted its path away from the group. However, the sound of the footsteps from the bird Nomu redirected it back to its main path, putting it between Nobu and Noa/Kozue. Its large body cut off sight lines between the two groupings.
The ants continued their death march, unperturbed by all the commotion as they continued to pour out of the anthill. As more and more continued to pour out, their number seemed limitless. With their path slightly blocked by the Leviathan Wyrm, some of them began to move towards Nobu.
tl;dr
- Bird dodges first lightning, second cleaves through its wing (ITS SUPER EFFECTIVE) and it plummets to the ground.
- Bird becomes STEEL porcupine and if caught by Kozue it would shred his hands. Charges at Noa to take her out of the fight permanently.
- The wyrm is distracted by the vibrations from the feathers first buuuuuut it hears the clanging and rapid footsteps of the bird Nomu and changes direction putting its massive body between the two groups.
- More ants come out of the anthill with no sign of stopping and now a small fraction of them are heading towards Nobu as well.

The Field
The bird continued to circle ahead, satisfied for a moment that its two "employees," as it liked to call them, would be able to get the job done. That was until Kozue made the call to leave the wyrm to Raiden and head to Noa's location. From high up above it would give a dismissive snort until it saw him brandish a weapon that completely obliterated an ant with ease.
"Nu uh, no way! A fire guy and a water girl?" Before it sent down a volley of feathers, Noa basically did the job for her, the pressure of the water hitting the feather causing a loud clanging sound which immediately ripped the wyrm's attention away from searching for Nobu, now on a path to collide with Kozue and Noa.
If that weren't enough, the bird would fall slightly out of the air as it prepared to fire a volley of feathers at the area around Kozue and Noa. "Nice try~ You all lose!" The ants weren't bothered by Noa's attempt for interference at all, swarming towards her and Kozue with more pouring out of the anthill and heading in their direction as if they were moving on instinct, without any regard to their safety.
tl;dr
- Kozue obliterates ants with ease (It's Super Effective!)
- The water from Noa causes additional vibrations as it hit the feather, prompting the wyrm to make its way to their location.
- The bird dips low in order to fire another wave of feathers at Kozue and Noa.
- More ants come out of the anthill heading towards the duo, not making any attempt to avoid or choose a new path of attack.

Normally, Raven is a rather meek, timid person. She doesn't have a lot of high aspirations for herself, after all who could like a loser like herself. With such low self esteem, she keeps to herself and aims for goals that she knows she could achieve with enough effort. Even then, she doesn't really have plans for herself as a lot of the plans of her life have been laid out before her through her family, her peers, and anyone in a higher position than her. As such she spends most of her time living quietly, opting to not step on anyone's toes and let others live their own lives as long as she was able to be safe. And even then, at the first sight of conflict she'll shrink up and shrivel and fear, where in her normal state it would take an act of god to have her act in aggression.
Whilst holding a gun and her quirk activating its Bullet Time mutation, her entire personality takes a complete 180 as she becomes quite driven, brash, and assertive. Letting loose her filter and sharing what she really feels about others without any care for recourse, and also going after what she really likes. Even developing a passion towards stopping A'holes from stomping on other people's freedoms, imposing her will in order to stop jerks and bullies. Heck, as long as she has a gun in hand, she would 100% try to pick fight with god himself.

Normally Raven is a rather timid, somewhat lanky girl who is short in stature with pink hair and blue eyes. She doesn't really work out all that often and has average muscle mass. Raven at any given moment is probably sweating in some fashion. If she's not being forced into an outfit for other people's enjoyment or fashion sensibilities, then she opts for comfortable clothing [usually in pink because that's the wardrobe her parents bought her].

Whilst holding a gun, Raven's body undergoes its 'BULLET TIME' mutation to better suit wielding a gun properly, with her muscle mass condensing a considerable amount. Hair becomes a cyan blue with her skin turning pale grayish blue, with eyes changing in tone to almost seem like it glows red and neon yellow-green. While in Bullet Time Raven modesty and shame goes out the window, so she's game to wear whatever thing she dang well pleases for comfort or to look good or to stick it to someone.

Raven did not grow up in a safe environment. For the majority of her life she found herself being raised in the shadiest parts of New York, where her family worked themselves to the bone to make as much money as possible. They didn't really need to live in the shady neighborhoods as her mom and dad made plenty of money working in Heroic Finances, but because they wanted to penny pinch as much as possible they didn't mind working in the shady area. Well, Raven did mind, but any time she spoke up about the area around her she was just ignored, met with scorn, or was given a lecture on how good of a life she had. They weren't wrong, as Raven got almost anything she wanted in being sent to private schooling, was able to study and enjoy whatever she liked in school, had access to whatever latest fads tickled Raven's fancy; but she was truly alone as she couldn't relate to the kids going to the same school as her due to being so sheltered, and her parents didn't really cultivate a healthy environment to grow in.
But as this was all she knew, she bottled up these rebellious, resentful feelings deep in her heart and just went with the flow. Hiding her true self from her parents, from her classmates, from her teachers, to even the few people she hung out with in order to have protection from some of the scarier students in her school. Biting her lip and biding her time, as she had a bit of an exit plan from all of this. Her parents were greedy with money, but they did disclose that a huge part of it was saving money to help fund travelling over to Japan in order to apply to UA University. They believed Raven could excel in the hero course since she, in their opinion, hit the Quirk Jackpot with a wonderful quirk to produce bullets.
That wasn't Raven's exit plan, because there was no way she was putting herself in harm's way. Her exit plan was to learn at UA University's General Education course, get herself a cushy job like her parents in Heroic Financing and Business, and live her life in complete safety. And thus when it was time to take the exam, her first attempt she bombed the test a bit too hard and failed getting entry. Thaaaaat irritated her parents quite a bit, because they were so sure of Raven's abilities. Cursing herself for this oversight, she had to endure a year's worth of training from the best personal trainer's her parents' money could buy. This time around she took a different path to getting accepted, where she would ace the written portion and made blunders during the practical exam.
Shooting for being on the 'back ups' of the Hero Course, without having any real aspiration to actually join the hero course. This time she succeeded, got into the General Education course, and lied to her parents about doing her very very very very best to get into the Hero Course.
So they bought her tickets to Japan and covered her full tuition to UA University, and as long as Raven didn't make any waves then she'd be set on a safe future.

While experiencing the Bullet Time mutation, the user takes twice as much damage from sources that can start fires due to the gunpowder her body is able to naturally produce.

As they're being called, these' rifts' are popping up without rhyme or reason throughout the city! Some have claimed these rifts' appearance is linked to Takamagahara's events, but that hasn't been confirmed.
Several volunteers who have entered these rifts have reported back with wildly different experiences, some citing that they were transported to a future where Tokyo was utterly destroyed, others relieved of their childhoods, and some even reporting they found themselves in a world where they had already died...?
The problem has largely spiraled out of control with the only way these rifts are closed is to have an individual or individuals enter and fulfill whatever 'requirements' are inside. These doesn't seem to be a rhyme or reason to these either so you won't know until you're there!
Will you Turn Back the Pendulum? Will you find a Distorted Future? Or simply an alternate universe to explore?

At the discretion of each staff member, there will be some first-come, first-serve signups, either for an existing prompt or perhaps an entirely new one related to the Sports Festival! We also understand that running a thread on your own and keeping the momentum going can be difficult, so aside from any member-submitted events, this will be the event for the entire season. The only requirement you'll have is that any threads related to the Sports Festival must be completed by December 1st, 2024. For any Sports Festival threads, regardless of what prompt, please put [SF] at the beginning of your thread so we can make sure we get you your rewards and SFP (Sports Festival Points)!Now, you might be asking what Sports Festival Points (SFP) are. Sports Festival Points are our attempt to keep things competitive between members without emphasizing PVP as the endpoint! We know not all of you are interested in PVP, but might like to be part of the competition, so for the nine prompts dedicated to students, you earn 1 SFP for each! At the end of the season, these SFP determine your IC placement in the Sports Festival [This is something you can opt out of when the time comes!], with the more points, the higher your standing. Suppose multiple characters end up with the same amount of points. In that case, you'll be essentially put into a raffle (entirely randomized), which will determine the order of placement, and it should be noted that this doesn't necessarily mean you placed first, second, third, etc. This means that you had a notable IC placement that could be in one of these spots. We know some of you may not like this idea and would prefer a knockout-style tournament, but we wanted to be as inclusive as possible! - The goal is to carry a delicate explosive device (the size of a ball) through a relay that consists of a rock climbing wall, platforms crossing a large body of water (They are very slippery!), and a minefield (Nonlethal!)
Before you're able to start the event everyone in your group will need to touch the bomb first to get a genetic signature (There is no way to fool this!) - The bomb will need to be passed around between your group and the closer you get to the end, the faster you’ll need to swap the bomb around before detonation.
- If someone isn’t holding the bomb (this means no quirk constructs or summons), it will blow up.
- If one person holds the bomb for too long, it will blow up.
- If someone outside your assigned group touches it, it will blow up.
- The only condition for failing is that the bomb detonates. ICly, you’ll still receive points, and OOCly, you’ll still receive your tokens even if you don’t complete the course ICly.
[attr="class","likedosub"]Balloon Bonanza - Free for All
- A finite set of balloons are flying in the air, the goal is to take down red ones. Each popped balloon gives 1 point.
- Green ones should be avoided at all costs. Popping one removes 10 points from the perpetrator’s score. Be careful as scores can go into the negatives!
- Points are only given or removed if the balloon is popped so, if they want to, competitors can move green ones toward their opponent as part of their strategy
- Some balloons are loaded and can provide various effects (cover people in glitter, spill oil on the floor to make it slippery, etc.)
[attr="class","likedosub"]Bicycle “DEATH” Race - Free for All
- Points are awarded to those who place in the Top 10, with more points being awarded to those who place in the Top 3!
- Each Bike will have up to two "gimmicks" (They've been modified!]

[attr="class","likedosub"]Three-Legged Race - A three-legged race is a running event involving pairs of participants running with the left leg of one runner strapped to the right leg of another runner. The objective is for the partners to beat the other contestant pairs to the finish line.
- Alternatively UAU has prepared a variety of obstacle courses throughout the various grounds for pairs of participants to test their skills against.

- Each team starts at the same distance from the center of the arena, filled with obstacles and traps. In the center of the arena are three flags; your team is to retrieve at least one flag and bring it back to your base.
- Quirks, Equipment, Etc. are allowed in this event!
[attr="class","likedosub"]Skyzone - An arena taking place in the sky! With giant fans below preventing anyone from falling to their untimely demise, the goal is to collect water balloons that will fall from the sky. The entire arena is on a hexagonal pattern with over a dozen trick tiles that will fall off when you step on them!
- Everyone will receive a basket to store their water balloons.
- Equipment is not allowed, but quirks are fair game.
- The only caveat is that you can’t directly attack anyone in the arena.
[attr="class","likedosub"]ABCs (Assembly, Build, Craft) - This is a support-focused event! Those who participate in ABCs will be required to use various pieces of random equipment and miscellaneous parts to create functional equipment to get them through one of three challenges, which are randomly picked! The Challenges are as follows:
- Build a Boat - To carry you and your teammates across choppy water, make sure your boat is up to the task!
- Build a Flying Device - To carry you across a huge ravine, too far to jump!
- Build a Land Vehicle - To carry you to victory as you build and then use this vehicle in a race, the first one to finish and cross the finish line takes home the gold!
[attr="class","likedosub"]Geysers Run Deep - Dive, dive, dive! If you’re unable to breathe underwater, you’ll be provided with a rebreather. The goal is to dive into a set of cave systems and retrieve various rocks and stones, but watch out for the geyser system!

For example, the [ pop-up] boss battles hosted by Fanthes were all themed around the [ Island Adventures] event created by Jinx. In other words, the mini event supports an already existing event, rather than being its own thing entirely. One key characteristic of the mini events, is that the one hosting one can use their narrative account to run it and choose which of their characters to give tokens to upon completion. This token reward is equivalent to one event thread regardless of how many threads the host ends up running (and is only eligible so long as that character hasn't already reached their token cap for the given event). Anyone else participating in a mini event thread will get event rewards as usual on the character they signed up with. If you are interested in running a mini event you must follow the instructions listed below. - To be considered a Mini Event the cap for people joining (note: people, not characters) cannot be set lower than six.
- All Mini Events need to be set within an existing event.
- Permission must be obtained from the creator of the original event to run a Mini Event within it.
- All Mini Events must be approved by staff beforehand.
- To be eligible for Mini Event rewards the threads need to finish.
- Only one of the organizer's characters can claim a token reward regardless of the amount of threads in the Mini Event. This reward is equivalent to one event thread and counts as the character participating in such a thread for the purposes of token caps.
- This additional reward only applies when none of the organizer's characters are otherwise eligible to gain rewards from the threads. No double dipping!

"Hmmmmm?"
The bird Nomu was circling as it heard the crack followed by a narrow dodge of the red lightning "woah woah! Definitely not normal! The boss will definitely like you, but I'm NOT a fan!" It would dive slightly before circling back up, aiming to put some distance between them since its freefall earlier to deploy its wings. It may have dodged the lightning but it was a little too close for comfort!
The leviathan wyrm continued on its path but stuttered a bit once Kozue removed the wings from the ground, the crack of lightning made it adjust its path heading towards the forest area much faster than before and as for the green lightning, when it struck it, it simply bounced off its carapace and into the ground. Once it reached the location that Raiden had relocated to it leapt out of the ground, attempting to lacerate him with its sharp mandibles.
"Fly south??" The bird looked around, taking Nobu's words literally at first before smiling a toothy grin. "Ohhhhh, it's one of those "expressions" you humans have!" Its beady eyes zoomed in on Noa, who had split from the group. "I'd help your friend out before she gets eaaaaaaaten~ Feeding time, boys!" It whistled as it dislodged another feather at the anthill closest to the water. Several glowing blue ants would pour out and swarm toward Noa, and as one of them passed over a small puddle close to the water, it would freeze instantly. Uh oh.
They hadn't touched the pond, about the size of an inground pool, but it was only a matter of time. Should Noa stay too close to the water, they would surely take away her ammunition.
tl;dr
- Bird narrowly dodges lightning, and flies further up to avoid any further strikes
- Leviathan Wrym pauses briefly when Kozue picks up the feather but resumes when Nobu throws out Green Lightning
- Green Lightning doesn't stop it. It leaps at Nobu, attempting to slice him with its mandibles.
- Bird summons blue ants to deal with Noa, they begin to swarm towards her and freeze some of the puddles near her.

The Field
"HELP MEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!"
An ear-piercing scream was followed by a hollow silence as something briefly emerged in the distance and then submerged back into the grass, shaking the field as it did. The flutter of wings as a vibrant bird-like creature landed on a giant moss-colored anthill jabbing it with its talons. "Yo! Rejects, you're up to clean up the scraps!" several cat-sized glowing blue ants crawled out of the opening and scurried across the field, chowing down on what remained of the previous unfortunate victim.
As your group enters the field, your presence doesn't go unnoticed. The bird creature tilts its head as it observes the three of you and then takes flight. "Oooh! Regular humans? That's new!" It floated gently at first and then surged upwards, high into the sky, as it circled the group.
"Yo big guy! Feeding time!" Its feathers would sharpen as it fell a great distance, getting fairly close to the ground before it flapped its wings, raining feathers down in a circle around the group. While none of you would be hit, the feathers resonated with each other, producing a low humming sound as the ground shifted again. A few meters away, you could see it - the leviathan wyrm.
One would notice that while it didn't have eyes it was still headed directly to the location of the three of you, the sharp exterior of the creature poised to tear through anything and anyone just as it did the earth beneath it.
What could be done? About 30 meters behind the group was a small wooden area, and to your left was a small pond approximately the same distance. Whatever your group's choice, it was not wise to remain in the same spot.
tl;dr
- The creature spots the group and fires its feathers down while dipping in altitude to do so.
- Leviathan Wrym heads to your direction
- Fight or Flight?

The Colosseum
A much more expansive space than one would anticipate in Takamagahara housed an ancient colosseum. It was eerily quiet with ruins fixed in the space and multiple levels until...
"Could you stop eating for FIVE MINUTES!" A fair-skinned woman with large violet eyes, the left of which was covered by a black eyepatch and long, dark pink hair tied up in two hip-length pigtails barked at a small girl with red horns and blonde hair. "I gots to eat otherwise, I can't take on whatever the boss is sending me. Stop yelling." She stared daggers at the taller woman, who stared back until another taller figure with red hair interrupted the two. "We crushed the last group with overwhelming force." She held an apple in her hand and took another bit, continuing with a mouth full of food. "We'll do the same here for the master. You really have too much of her anger; stay calm." She would adjust her own eyepatch, pressing in the blue orb on the exterior, which projected an image in front of them.
The other two begrudgingly fell silent as the image spoke. "This group has a special target. Your origin—Project Eir." The purple-haired, blonde woman immediately perked up, while the red-haired one's expression didn't change. "That one needs to be captured. The others will be disposed of. We have enough source material from the one you two were cloned from." The voice fell silent as the group of three looked down at the Colosseum entrance.
For the group entering, as soon as you move in, the door seals behind you. The three enemies would jump down from the upper level, and the purple-haired one would speak, "Never thought I'd run into my original down here...sorry our original," with smirk on her face as she drew her blade "Here's the deal: we need her." She would point her blade at Rui. "So either you're gonna step away, or I'm gonna remove your body parts bit by bit. Not something you're not used to though, huh?" Her grin widened, knowing that her original would never back down, especially when challenged like this, precisely what she wanted.
The much taller red-haired one would press her eyepatch again and look Retsu up and down. "So it's true. She doesn't have Bilrost anymore." She bowed and said, "I should introduce us as we wouldn't be standing here without you, sister." She ignored Olivia and Rui, only addressing Retsu: "I am subject BR-041, but you may call me Gnist. This one would look more familiar to you; she is BR-035 but prefers to be called Nia." She would point to the Rui clone, about half the size of a regular Rui "And Cotton. We apologize for the abruptness, but our master has no interest in the quirkless. So it was a pleasure, but you'll have to die."
The three would spring into action, the one known as Nia charging at Olivia with her blade drawn and a bloodlust that everyone in the room could feel.
Cotton spoke up. "Okay, I'm gonna kill your original~" she yawned before reaching into her throat and removing a few small marble-looking objects before throwing them at Retsu which would shatter and produce about a dozen clones of Rui that began to chatter and speak over each other and they bared their sharp teeth and dove at Retsu, aiming to pin her down and...well lets hope she didn't get pinned down. If any of them noticed Cotton she was now a few inches taller, looking just slightly older than before after producing the clones.
The last, Gnist, bowed to Rui. "Apologies. I've taken quite a liking to your copy, but my job isn't to kill you but instead to capture you. You have some old friends waiting to see you, Project Eir." Unlike the others, Gnist would take gradual steps forward, and when close enough, she would swing at Rui. Should the strike connect Rui would find her regeneration slowed down and the damage lasting longer than usual.
Uh oh.
