For some reason, it felt a bit odd to sign himself up for something like this. Since he had been so focused on getting good grades and not much else for the last while, he'd fallen out of touch with the social scene at his school. Though it wasn't the most direct way, he thought that trying to get into something more social would be a good way to make sure that he still felt relevant in his day-to-day student activities.

He'd approach hesitantly to the gathering, knowing that his regular suave nature was pretty much non-existent for the time being. He didn't know anyone, nor did he feel that he fit in anymore with those that he was going to meet. That was okay though, because he can and could be better!

It seems that he came in mid-introduction from the other students. He'd wait patiently for them to finish, trying his best to pinpoint notable features about them so that he could keep tabs on who was who. It seemed to him at least, that there were some people that had at least heard of one another. Oh well, he needed to prove that he was cool too, and worthy of being there just as much!

Once everyone was quiet, he'd take the chance to do a small introduction as to not disturb the peace. "Auden Verchetty, about to be a 2nd year for the hero school." Yikes, negative rizz much?

Despite his best efforts, it didn't seem that anyone was all that talkative. Perhaps it was because of the wind that it was too hard to hear, or maybe he was just getting ignored; no matter which, his question seemed to go unanswered, leaving room for him to wonder if he should have even signed up for an event like this one at all. Even with the people around him looking friendly enough, it seemed that it wasn't the time to be asking questions or making friends.

With a sudden gust, they were swooped up with the air, having to dodge each other as well as other obstacles to collect balloons. It wasn't an easy feat, but one that in some way made him feel that it was preparing them for something more. Maybe it was just a hunch, but he tried to have every situation be something that he could learn from.

As he reached over to try and grab one that he saw before him, it seemed that a rogue arrow had other ideas. It popped the balloon right in front of him, soaking him in the process. He stood there in disbelief, before trying to more carefully grab another. It seemed that a few people snickered in his direction, or so he thought, it was hard to tell. From now on, he had to think and act a bit more carefully. He watched his feet, his arms, even his breath, to make sure that it wasn't going to trigger anything this time that would leave him even more drenched then beforehand. Would it work? Maybe, only time could really tell.

Auden wasn't entirely sure what he was looking for. Since had had been a student, he had felt a little barren with the amount of weapons that he had at his disposal. For him, it was much easier to avoid attacks then to try to hit anyone head-on, especially because he was usually much smaller than his fighting partners.

After hearing the news that there were a few people that could make weapons on campus however, Auden perked up and decided to give it a chance; the worse that could happen is that he doesn't find what he is looking for and leaves empty-handed. With a sigh, he would move into the Support Labs and look around for someone with red hair, as he'd been told that they would be the best for the job.

It felt nice to actually practice every now and again. Auden felt himself sometimes getting rusty with his movements. When he wasn't busy with modelling, he found himself trying to keep up with the workload of school. As much as he should have been, he found himself lacking with the physicality that came with being a hero.

It got to the point though, that Felix wouldn't get off his case about it. "You have to be stronger than what you are if you want to make it as a hero." His big brother's words would ring in Auden's head like some looming god-like entity. Auden knew he was right, but Auden didn't feel the need to be as in shape as he had before coming to Japan.

Still, to make his big brother happy, he reluctantly went to the training ground to practice. Arriving there, it was sparsely populated save for a few people that looked like they didn't want to be disturbed. As Auden made his way over to a grassy area, he spotted someone that seemed to be taking full advantage of the training area. A bit baffled, he would watched as he was able to move his body with ease; that type of practice came with years of caring about yourself, or at least he thought.

That was until a bot came up behind him. With a gasp, Auden just watched as the man got pushed across the field by the bot. "Shit." He'd say under his breath, his hands going up to cover his face as if he was embarrassed to swear. "You good?" He wasn't sure that he should have been watching as intently as he was, but he wasn't going to ignore him in that instance. In this situation though, he wasn't sure if it was better to just help him up, or help him deal with the bots. "Do you need help?"

This felt almost a bit too close for comfort. Auden wouldn't make the obvious, but it was odd to help someone else with family issues that so easily echoed some of his own. His sister had been a similar age to Kaida's sister when she'd passed, perhaps a bit older; when you were not given a definite age for yourself until years later, and your birthdays were never celebrated, it all blurred together.

Still, he'd pay attention, listening to as much as he could, but Auden would look visibly uncomfortable for the first few moments of information taking. He knew it happened to other people's families all the time, but it felt so much different when they were someone close- tangible, even. Kaida's sister and her safety was his responsibility, and getting her back would need all of them.

They ended the meeting, Auden would bow, and retreat back to his own place. An early start for them all meant that it was going to be a long, stressful morning for them all. Hopefully, whatever Jun and him could muster up would be enough to save this little girl. He wasn't doing it for any reason other than to perhaps feel that he could help her more than he had been able to help his own sister. He'd arrive in good time, seeing that someone was aptly waiting for them. He was a cutie, which was at least a little bit of a plus; he didn't look like he was going to mock them too much, at least initially.

He did underestimate them, though. As they stood here, his comments towards them made him raise a brow. "I'm sure we can." Even if they couldn't, he didn't like that at least to him, this man was coming off as if he was wanting to treat them like children. If something bad happened, it was their own responsibility- he wasn't really thrilled or excited to have to rely on a cop for backup. "If we weren't sure, we wouldn't be helping. I at least, am not doing this for some fake clout." Unlike the police force being able to perhaps make a big story out of this, he would prefer if this stayed under the radar, and only included people that everyone really trusted. Auden didn't know Kaida all that personally, but if he got the chance to talk to her alone, he would for sure let her know that he'd never tell a soul or use it against her. He wasn't sure she'd care, but it was the sentiment that mattered. "If you're afraid, it's okay to admit that too- this type of thing isn't for the faint of heart." He'd smile back to Luki, hoping he could enjoy a bit of banter.

He knew that his being there was uncalled for, so he tried his best not to give it much attention. He was an outlier; he didn't know Kaida personally or have much to say about the situation other than aid due to his own experiences. For those reasons, he stayed silent and kept his mouth shut, wanting nothing more than to be a support in this situation.

It was only when Kaida got closer to them that he perked up, ready and willing to talk if needed. "Yeah uh, thanks for allowing me to be here. I'll help however I can, healing or otherwise." He wanted to be sincere, and he wanted to show that he was on the side of neutrality, rather than trying to make it seem like he was anything special. Experience or not, Auden wanted to be unbiased. Looking over to Kei, he would look them up and down, almost unsure of what to think. They hadn't interacted much, but they seemed solid enough for the job as well. If their eyes met, Auden would give them a gentle head bow. Turning back over to Kaida, he'd clear his throat. "Tell us what is needed of us."
