"All according to plan!"
Josie shouted while she kept barreling until smacking into a wall and finally came to a stop. Now on the bright side it wasn't her face that collided with the brick instead it was her backside. Considering she'd had plenty of times landing on her back she considered this one not too bad.
Now she heard the 'ow,' but Jo didn't see where it was coming from, and she was literally in no position to pursue anything. So the next best thing 'had' to be done in the moment.
"Hey, I'm kinda stuck here so I'm gonna roll around for a bit. Do me a favor and go find that voice and throw it off the rooftop maybe that'll make the ghost disappear."
Speaking to Windy in a very matter-of-fact way. It may be a little harsh but hell maybe whoever it was, was listening and then would immediately surrender and they could all go back to Halloween.

We're on it, was a very meddled statement at the present moment in time.
Now Josie did want to help with the situation, who wouldn't after all? It was Halloween, and civilians didn't want to deal with ghosts. They wanted to be complimented on their outfits and have candy. Ensure that in no way whatsoever did you talk about spirits with their grandparents nearby or else they'd all get agitated. So to say this situation was an odd one, would be correct because Josie was stuck in a very very soft place.
Here was trying to charge ahead and all she could do was wobble while looking left and right, telling everyone to keep moving away from the situation. If she jumped out of her outfit, she'd be sporting next to nothing and she didn't need pictures of herself out there in public like that.
So needless to say she needed to think of a way to back up Windy. Unfortunately, fate had other plans for her at the present moment. Trying to move a little quicker the otter costume tipped forward and a slight incline down made her next attack known.
Josie came like a giant otterball tumbling down toward the ghost while she was stuck. She could've stopped herself, but again she couldn't show that much prowess in the present moment not being in the peacekeeper suit. So here Jo was, charging into battle and getting ready to fight.
In the absolute most ridiculous way, but hey it was something.

"Oh, ya know the normal Halloweens most people I knew back in the state would have, the ole classic."
Now that wasn't a lie... technically. Josie knew a bunch of Vigi's big and small back then who spent their Halloween's holed up in some rat hole waiting for someone to act so they could stop them before anything crazy occurred. So in other words what was spoken for the record wasn't a lie, it was merely not all the truth.
"I'm sure Halloween must've been great, but hey I'm pretty sure you're making one of these kid's night quite a happy one coming out here and-"
Josie ended up cut off by a woman who was screaming down the street. The student couldn't help but blink several times while listening to the cry for help. Listening to Windy's quip she couldn't help but cringe, they weren't too horrible. However if they had to choose between being shot at or listening to his quips, she'd say fire away!
Okay, perhaps that's a little dramatic, still the truth.
So Farrin took off and Josie sat there for a second with the bowl ready to go until she realized. Underneath this outfit, she was wearing some shorts she picked up off the floor and a tank top. She couldn't break the character either and immediately sprint over to the place. So the next best thing had to happen.
She wobbled the whole way in her puffy otter outfit.

Ya know, this Halloween is quite an interesting one for Josie. For starters's it the first Halloween in a couple of years where Jo isn't camped out in some slums watching for some people to get back from their seasonal criminal spree and go to work.
Nope, this time she decided to dress up and enjoy the night. She had decided to dress up in a giant puffy otter onesie. True she could've gone with something a little more slimming or scary or cool, however there were problems with that. One is that PEACEKEEPER walks around in a very slimming and tight outfit. Unfortunately, the paranoia in the back of her head would not let her be in such a similar outfit ever in public. All it took was one person to put two and two together or she grunt a certain way. Next thing she knows, she'd have heroes and police busting down her dorm room door and then she has to punch another cop.
Not the best idea going forward.
So here she was being confused a little here and there for a cat and politely saying to those kids she was an otter, and maybe giving them not so much a big piece of candy as the kids who got it right.
Tis the season.
"Happi Halloween young heroes!" Josie spoke while a couple more kids dressed as heroes came their way and she kept a joyful face. It would be cool to at least see one homemade vigi, but the chances of that were quite low.

Okay, this had changed from a pickle to a series of unfortunate events.
The smoke in the air caused her to immediately hold her breath, again this wasn't the 'real' problem. Josie's real problem lay in the fact that it was going against everything in her system to not help. If she helped right now everything would be done, these are the people who wanna be heroes so bad they'd sell a family member.
The least liked family member but they'd still sell them.
So unfortunately when Rah approached she had no choice but to feign it. Using her quirk to do pricks under clothes so that later on she'd have a slight blood here and there. To go with the bruises from earlier thanks to the explosion.
Half-lidded eyes followed his recommendation and jumped, having to put just enough power so that she made it but just barely. Yes, yes this was very cruel and no doubt would it come to haunt her later but she was a weakling in these eyes. Josie needed to stay a weakling in these eyes, for once she and Samson agreed so the best thing for now to do was two kicks and then breathe hard.
She'd probably slow her own heart a little when they hit land so she could knock out for a while just to seal the deal.

Josie got the one person they were helping to safety before heading back inside to ensure everyone had been accounted for on the inside. Thankfully everyone was able to get to the rescue boats, unless someone was hiding in a closet. They didn't seem like the types to do that in an emergency since no kids were among the scientists.
Just to be sure she double-checked on the matter too.
Heading back up to the main deck, the hair on the back of her neck stood up for a moment, before she realized something bad was about to happen. Suddenly her body flew up and slammed against the ceiling before coming back and hitting the stairs hard.
"Ow. Okay, that hurt as bad as the punch a month ago."
Josie spoke and rubbed the back of her head only to feel a bump, the feeling of warm liquid was surprisingly not there. In other words, her brothers likely hardened the hair a bit when the warning initially hit them.
Finally opening up the door, she walked out while holding the back of her head. Unforunately there were a lot more negatives than positives right now. The ship had been separated and was on fire, and she still had to make sure that she didn't do anything out of character for Josie considering the situation.
So it was safe to say this was a bit of a pickle.

Ya know, some people weren't meant to pick their own aliases, names, or nicknames. I mean there's a reason the most famous mouse in the world isn't named Mortimer. There's also a reason the world will forever be plagued by both P.R. firms and entertainment lawyers.
Future heroes choosing names like 'Playboy' will be one of the reasons those jobs will forever be safe. Still, it was safe to say that Volley was able to handle this completely. No offense, but if he couldn't Josie unfortunately would've been judging a little harder than normal. Especially when all these fellas had to their name was grenades.
Thankfully after taking care of them and offering his hand she took it and chuckled at his words. "Well, thank goodness someone respects the sanctity of marriage-" Until he finished his sentence and she had to try hard not to grimace.
"Well, we all make our fun little choices here and there. So I'm guessing these are your friends?" Josie spoke while taking out a phone and dialing up the proper authorities so they could take these guys away to where they belonged.

Josie had somewhat become her very own commentator while in the sky.
It was amazing to see the race and how people were neck and neck at points! Hell, there was even a moment where some dude came up in the sky with her and some reason or another bumped right into Josie!
"WHOA, DUDE WHAT THE HELL, WHAT WAS THAT!" The words were loud and angry while she kept pedalling and the person responded with angry words of their own saying its everyone for themselves. Despite that being true, it made no damn sense why with all this 'literal' sky surrounding them the jerk chose to smack right into Josie. Like be for real, what the heck was the point!?
The student ended up getting into a literal argument that took the other's attention away from the race and onto herself. Hell, it was all worth it though when the idiot started throwing less than stellar words he crashed into a big ole tree and fell back down to the ground. Lord almighty she had the biggest laugh, she was nowhere near first or Windy anymore and odds are was going to come in like close to the last of the pack but the laugh was worth it.
Man, she needed that.
Gliding back down towards the track she had finished the race while staring at her bike and the second button... Wonder what it did?

Josie stared into the void of darkness.
For a while, there was nothing as Windy had said, though the Yelp had turned in her ears to something else different. The darkness in her own eyes twisted and turned at this point her eyes had become more than adjusted and she felt comfortable in the moment.
Who knows, maybe she wasn't looking at anything. It was all in her head and the darkness was twisting to provide a shape of something similar. Perhaps it was someone capable of peaking another's mind and pulling out something to make them uncomfortable? Either way, it didn't matter, because if the goal was to make her feel anything close to that emotion they had failed big time. Listening to Windy walk back up to her in the darkness she leaned back on the tree and blinked while thinking about the offer.
"Ya know, Imma stay out here for a little while longer."
Sighing a bit, she nestled on the tree and kept staring out, she had put on bug spray before heading out here, the good stuff so she could waste some time out here. Besides its not like she had anywhere to be tonight.

Ya know, Josie was starting to understand why everyone eventually somehow put their quirk to use so they could somehow use it to fly. I mean true swinging had its awesome moments and for now, if she had to choose between one or the other she'd choose the swinging. Come on though, flying was friggin awesome, no wonder so many people who had a fear of heights had it immediately dissipated the moment a flying quirk kicked in on their system.
Okay okay, Josie was having too much fun and needed to focus on the race. It seemed the harder she pedaled the more she could streamline with the wind in the area. So that was the goal keep pedaling hard enough so could continue her sky venture. However not too hard to completely break the character she had built so far, seemed plausible.
The way Windy was starting to break from the pack made sense, he drew the luck and got the Jet bike. Let's be real though he was so dedicated to his craft that he could've pressed that button and his wheels turned to jelly and he'd still find a way to leave these people with their mouths agape.
Though honestly, that'd be pretty interesting to see especially from her bird-eye view.

Standing in the darkness, Josie stayed quiet no longer having anything to say on the matter. It felt like both of them were out here for two different reasons. Whether or not they figured out about the fears didn't matter too much, to her, fears were just a reminder they were alive.
So turning off the phone wasn't enough?
Instead of using her quirk, Josie brushed off the ground and sat down on the mossy surface near a big dead tree. Another yelp went out, or maybe it was intended to be a scream. She couldn't really say for sure.
Ah well, if something didn't wanna be figured out the least they could do is be on its playing field.

Josie spoke nonchalantly about the whole scream aloud if she needed anything. Being in the darkness wasn't a big deal to her, at this point in her life she had been alone in complete darkness more than she had been in crowds. Okay, maybe that was a bit of an exaggeration but the point was Josie was very used to dark and alone so it wasn't that shocking when after Windy left the whatever out there decided to not yell.
"There has to be some type of deal to this..."
It was then it hit her, it would be weird but it was worth a shot. Taking out her phone real quick she decided to turn it off, after that putting it back in her pocket. Having no other devices on herself maybe that was the key.
Maybe that yell was her at the theater telling the other folks to turn off their phone with a disapproving yelp.

"Okay, it's official whose ever putting these devices together needs to start putting their efforts into the city infrastructure."
The words were dry and she just decided to say screw it and see what her bike could do! Pedaling at a brisk pace... well brisk for civilians she pressed down on the button and waited for the magic to start!
She waited,
and waited,
and waited,
People were starting to pass her while she could only blink, still with a brisk pace of pedaling what in the world was going on? Where was the oomph? Windy had friggin jets, the least she could've gotten was a little speaker repeating the phrase 'you can do it!'
"Ah, ya stupid-"
She sorta kicked her bike only for the sucker to start to sputter and the next thing she knew, she was pedaling but no longer was the ground underneath her...
JOSIE WAS FLYING, FLYING BIKE!
She took back every snarky little jaded comment she made about the race, to hell with infrastructure this was awesome!

Josie looked left and right, only to see that she hadn't been pierced with a load of shrapnel and instead good ole volley was on the case.
"Nice work Volley! Being a pincushion is not on the list of things I wanna cosplay!"
Jumping up she brushed off her jacket while looking left and right only to see more of them pop up.
"Ah come on, what's this even about? Is this how ya'll get your jollies picking on two LG's ki- young adults? Honestly, ya'll better win this fight against Volley, or otherwise, it's gonna be a real blow to the gut!"
Was it rude of her to act as if she didn't fight so well so that somewhere in the back of these weasels' heads they'd focus more on Volley and less on her? Yes, yes it was but did she care?
No, No she did not. Let's be real here one punch to the gut or face and these folks would be on the pavement dreaming about the next big score. Nothing to get serious about, seriously.

"This way everyone, don't worry, don't worry, they built plenty of emergency stuff in this case! There's room for everyone just don't kill each other over it!"
The shout came while she helped some of the beansprouts evacuate from the bows of the ship. People were way to quick to push one another over if it meant their life was spared some cosmic misfortune. It wasn't like she expected them to calmly move but they didn't have to move like everything in the next couple seconds would be their last.
It was pirates, not a giant friggin lizard. Oh god, she needed to shut up before the giant friggin lizard did show up. She didn't have any construction spheres on standby right now. Not like she could even use them right now.
Seemed one of the last people evacuating had fallen over, for a second Josie was about to send a quick tendril to help them out. When her roommate all of a sudden decided to make their presence known and screamed out a quick No!
Instead of reacting to them, she looked around wondering why she shouldn't use her quirk in a very ya know, quirk requirement time. Until she saw them, the bunnies, which meant someone who was a little too nosy was using their quirk.
Now regardless of the fact there was an emergency going on, did Josie put it past them to use this time to possibly spy on her? The kind side of her wanted to be like no not really, while the paranoid side knew they would!
So instead of hurrying she ran to the person who fell and lifted them herself, with the scientist leaning on them, they would make their way back up towards the deck.
