BLOW UP! HP: ▰▰▰▰▰▰▱▱▱▱ 60/100 Clicking her tongue at Taro's casual admission of his ignorance Retsu wondered just how truthful he was being. He didn't strike her as someone particularly capable of subterfuge but looks could be deceiving. Regardlessly, that was a worry for later. They had a far more immediate problem to deal with now.
"Only one way ta foind out," Retsu quipped back noncommittally. No way was she giving up any information on her current state either way. Had she still had her normal physique perhaps she'd have had a chill run through her at his next thought but as it was she remained wholly ignorant to it.
"Moite as well." A nonchalant shrug showed exactly how much she cared about whether or not Hedgerock died. It was feigned nonchalance of course, the Pro Hero had nearly put her down permanently and Retsu was out for blood. Being calm in situation where one really shouldn't be, especially if said person was known for their anger, always had a way of unnerving people however. With her emotions hitting her far less hard than usual right now Retsu fell into the act almost naturally.
When the stalagmites struck Retsu leaned away just a bit too slowly, one tearing through her side in a manner far more painless and bloodless than she'd imagined. Instead, there was simply static. She scowled. What the fook was up with that?
Her struggles were small compared to those of Hedgerock. He too wasn't quite fast enough to avoid the hammer entirely, part of how face quite literally crumbling under the assault before it continued on to smash his shoulder into bits. It rendered him armless but not harmless.
"You believe the air shall guard you, villain?" He asked while launching his own counterattack. The blow that shattered his shoulder had caused him to hunch forward aiming his spine covered back right at the right in the air. A dozen fired off in multiple directions as he strained his quirk hard enough the effort caused his facial muscles to clench and his eyes to squint.
Even while squinting however he could see the object that clicked down at his feet. A grenade, to no one's surprise.

"Sounds easy enaff," Retsu responded with a nod, mind already whirling. "So long as ah know the content’s dimensions and connection points ah ken make the casings." When he almost immediately turned the laptop around she clicked her tongue at the smug prick's showmanship. He was implying he could predict her, huh? She hadn't seen anyone out-predict a grenade before.
Yeah, she wouldn't trust his drones if her life depended on it. Something that could remotely be programmed to turn on her not to mention detonate where she'd rather not have them was far more of a hazard than a boon. Retsu knew well that in their line of work alliances only lasted so long as the benefits outweighed the costs and if you weren't an ally you were an enemy.
"Ken work as a lure ah suppose," Retsu responded to the mention of a projector. Her eye immediately darted to his hand the moment he flicked a device out, her own holding on to the backrest a little tighter to fling the entire couch at him if need be. The holographic overlay looked so natural she couldn't tell whether it was the real deal and his previous version had been the hologram or whether it was the other way around. Not for his eyes and not for his hand
When the lights flickered her other arm, the one that had been behind the couch, instinctively reached back to draw the knife hidden on her lower back, her finger brushing the ring on its guard by the time the light stabilized again. Retsu kept her hand there, half hidden by her jacket. A dazzling effect to draw the eye and then a distraction that was all but impossible to ignore?
Her gaze didn't follow the device down to the armrest, no, it stayed on facade. She knew those faux magician tricks and wouldn't be caught dead by such misdirection. Her attention stayed right on him and her nerves on a hair trigger. One wrong move and she'd lash out, consequences be damned.
Ironically, her focus caused her to completely miss the shimmer in the corner the entire time.
"Only so much tahm in a day. Let's start with yours." There was no way she was going to reveal her own interests right now, no, that information she'd keep close to her chest. "Those projectors, how ‘ard would it be ta make single use ones with adaptive results?" That didn't mean she couldn't start prodding into a secondary idea however. If they were able to mimic the surroundings when activated a hologrenade could render anyone entering its area of effect effectively invisible for its duration. Not to mention allow her to set up some nasty surprises in the confusion.

The outside world ceased to exist. There was only pain. Vaguely she heard sirens and someone screaming their lungs out. It took several long seconds and Rui's bandages wrapping around her for Retsu to realize the person she heard was herself.
Mummy's healing washed through her like water through a parched throat. All the pain faded bringing back the kind of clarity one had when putting on a pair of glasses for the first time after spending years seeing nought but blurs.
It lowered her guard just in time for an even worse pain to strike.
Where before it'd been focused solely on her eye and the optic nerves behind it now it began to spread across her face and neck.
"STOOOOPPP!!!" She yelled out of agony and desperation while tearing Rui's bandages loose. The majority of her injuries were fixed by now but every bit of healing Rui added in caused her pain to flare worse. Clamping a hand over her eye Retsu forced herself upright. "N- no more healing." One step after the other took them out of the facility. Oft she stumbled, panting for air while she had to use her other arm to support herself against the wall.
Pain still dominated her mind leaving her with barely enough mental faculty to put one foot in front of the other. She didn't have the time to think of the implications. Couldn't consider right now that if healing caused it to spread then her body's natural healing would as well. No, the realization that she was now on a timer would only set in later. If she didn't find a way to undo her mistake then before long it would prove to have been her last.

His nose flared and his fingers twitched, almost curling into the shape of claws at the accusation. With a derisive scoff he regarded Jun and the ‘baggage’ on her shoulder with such wholesome warmth it could freeze an oven.
"Hmph. You would accuse me of thievery like those fools?" His wings spread widely behind him and his arm raised in front of him, gestures filled with the kind of zeal on the most deluded of zealot possessed fueling his words. "I am the one who goes beyond such randomized dependence! I create and improve! No matter the original what I create shall be better! My inventions shall reshape the world in my ima-"
The rest of his ‘grand revelation’ died with him when the tip of a blowtorch appeared right above his sternum from the inside, quite literally cutting off his words. Unlike with a normal knife however Temper's biggest source of damage wasn't its penetrative power. It was the sheer heat. The small perforation did far more damage internally than externally. When the scientist dropped he was long past saving by the time his knees hit the ground, disbelieving eyes briefly attempting to look down before they lost their light and he toppled in full revealing the source of his demise.
Retsu deactivated Temper and hung the hilt back on her belt so casually it was almost as if she'd already forgotten she'd just killed a man with it.
"Gotta say, ‘adn't expected a hero to be so ruthless ‘gainst a child," Retsu lied. "Ah was thinkin’ ya'd be too busy takin’ care a’ her ta get in mah way further but it looks lahk we moite ‘ave ta keep goin’ after all."
The hand that had dropped to sheathe Temper came back up with a grenade. Idly she twirled it around her finger by the pin while staring at the pair with a gaze almost as cold as the one that had been aimed their way before. This was her chance to get rid of both witnesses and buy her time to scrounge his lab before an organized response could be measured against her.
“Dun’ make me regret this,” Retsu commanded with an odd edge to her tone. The grenade was pocketed once more as she turned on her heel and left. In the moment she didn’t know why she’d shown mercy. Perhaps though, perhaps she’d seen herself in the kid. Maybe she’d spared them in the hopes that she’d get a better life than Retsu herself had. Just maybe though, just maybe it was spite. The wish to show the girl exactly what the system would put people like them through.
When both the case and the lab alike went up in flames moments later Retsu couldn't say she was surprised. Just angry and disappointed.

After dodging Hemogoblin her guard had been up. More importantly with her back pressed up against the wall she saw AI.PH.II coming from a mile away. Just because she got advance warning didn't mean she was able to react in time however. With her legs going out from under her she tossed her rifle at the thing's face and dropped into a sideways roll that ended up with her facing AI.PH.II while she kicked off the ground to leap backwards. Resisting the urge to have her eye dart all over the place to check the scene at large Retsu focused fully on turning the bot into scrap metal first.
There are two things experienced combatants are unprepared for. Those too new to have fallen into a pattern and the crazy. Retsu just happened to be one of those, something Iphigenia would get to find out firsthand when Retsu pulled out a piece of C4 and tossed it right at AI.PH.II mid leap. It barely got over halfway between them before she pressed the detonator.
The resulting explosion likely hurt her far more than it hurt the artificial intelligence. Where before she'd been leaping before now she flew through the air uncontrollably, Her face burned and the front of her clothes had practically melted to her skin in places as she uncontrollably span through the room, crashing through tables, dragging a metal plate on a plinth down to the ground with her and finally sliding to a harsh stop against a locked cabinet. Well, a cabinet that had been locked before the safety protocols were undone.
Forcing herself upright with gritted teeth before the mechanical abomination could force its way past the ongoing combat between Yingshe and Oniki Retsu heard something rattle within the cabinet. Any other time she'd have ignored it and started tossing more grenades around but something had caught her eye. Well, eyes. The explosion had ripped off her eyepatch leaving both exposed, more importantly however was that at one point during her flight her left eye had briefly stopped hurting.
Her gaze found the cause again in an instant and once more her eye ceased hurting. It was the metal plate she'd knocked to the ground. As she looked at it a directly another scene overlaid her sight for but the briefest moment. Quick, shallow breaths rasped through her throat and her heart pounded a mile a minute. Her unblinking stare stayed on the plate for several long moments despite the far more intense pain memory caused her. She recognized that metal plate. An alley, a hand, a flash, fear like she'd never felt before. Her arms, so small back then, raising in front of her.
Retsu's legs nearly gave out under her, one hand clutching the cabinet hard enough her fingers almost left dents in the metal to keep herself upright. Her gaze darted around, catching snippets of what was going on around her but never enough to get the full picture. Then she noticed one of the drawers of the cabinets right next to her. The one she'd heard something rattle in before. Her impact had caused it to open just enough for her to spot several glass tubes containing a gold colored liquid within. Looking at them dulled the pain. Syringe-attachments laid right next to them. One of her hands came up just a little as if to reach out for Rui before Retsu did the dumbest thing she could.
She grabbed one of each out of the drawer.
The lights went out.
Retsu screamed.
The sound of glass breaking and Retsu's wailing was barely audible over the sirens announcing the facility's imminent self-destruction. Clutching at her eye Retsu collapsed to her knees. Her throat was rapidly going hoarse. As she felt the liquid course through her eye and creep through her head like vines she felt not just violated but in more pain than she'd ever been, only two other incidents even coming remotely close. Like strings of magma flowing through her Retsu could do naught but scream as she weathered what may well have been a force of nature.
"RUI!" A frantic cry left her as her screaming died down. The sheer pain made her retch up stomach acid. What stung almost as much was the realization. She'd messed up. Badly. Fear wrung her guts into knots. Retsu couldn't even put words to the thought, simply shaking in horror as she sat there on her knees, curled up so hard in pain her forehead nearly touched her legs.

Well, wasnt that fookin' something. The next logical step huh? Sure sounded like there were a lot of fookin' people Megumi was planning to get rid of if the logical step was for her Kindness to be considered a depraved blood goddess.
Once the conversation in the workshop got going she began jotting down notes on materials, work time, expenses and more. When it came to her craft Retsu cared about results and results alone. Well, transferring those results away from her would still take the client a pretty penny but that was neither here nor there.
"Huh, convenient." She wasn't thinking of how it made matching items aesthetically much easier of course. No, where her thoughts were was on how it made plausible deniability that much easier. 'Of course that wasn't the murder weapon officer, see, it looks completely different.'
Especially when even the original could switch between being a scythe, a sword and a staff. Mentally Retsu turned up Megumi's danger level. She wasn't just crazy, she was the competent kind of crazy. Those were the most terrifying. Retsu would know.
Seeing the bundle of bills Megumi had pulled out Retsu put her notebook down next to the woman's own and accepted it, fingers running over the edges as she did a quick count. When it came to battle Retsu did not believe in fairness, fair combatants got shallow graves and unfulfilled wishes. Her craft though, that Retsu was more fair in than most. Not for any moral reasons though, no, it was purely pride. Remove as many outside factors as possible and her work would speak for itself.
Well, that and the fact that it was better not to scam lunatics even if it was their own idea. That was the best way to end up on some kind of shit list you didn't get off until you were dead or they were. Retsu would know.
"This'll do fer the trick scythe. Anythin' else'll cost extra," she responded while shoving the bundle of bills into her pocket. Halving the woman's suggestion should be more than enough to get her out of danger, she wasn't gonna nitpick further at her own expense. Answering Megumi's 'compliment' with an uncertain grunt Retsu picked her notebook back up and scribbled down a few more details. She didn't know whether she was being sarcastic nor did she care, her craft came first.
"Dere anythin' else? If naht ah rekken we're done 'ere." Opening a drawer Retsu pulled out a burner phone and a key before handing both to Megumi. "Ah'll text ya the coordinates a' the safe deposit box this key goes with when its done. Ya need anythin' else ya ken use that phone ta contact me."
With everything she needed to say said Retsu snapped a few pictures of the schematics in Megumi's notebook so she had the originals too before handing it back. There was work to be done, not to mention another move. Now that she'd led someone here she wasn't gonna stay in this warehouse, that was a great way to get herself killed. No, her entire setup was getting moved to another one while she hired some people to keep an eye on this one just in case it suddenly got raided.
Just because her craft came first didn't mean Retsu wasn't gonna retaliate in full if that trust was abused.

The girl only reacted after the hammer had been flung and Jun was racing towards her. Her hand came up palm first in front of her almost as if to say stop right before her eye flashed ametrine and her face scrunched up. Abruptly the hammer came to a halt.
With her focus on the construct she didn't notice Jun until just before the fist made contact with her chin, nor would she have been able to do even if she had. Already the girl had been wobbling on her feet. The one strike was more than enough to bring her down, her eye's glow fading and leaving the ocular organ hazier than it had been before she'd intercepted the hammer.
The sound of the metal case dropping from her grasp echoed through the alley far, far louder than the rest of the fight had been. With the silence caused by all other fighting having halted as well the sound spread further still, offset only by distance and the faint noises of people fleeing in the distance.
The hefty clop of heeled boots returned mere moments later as the scientist made his way back into the alley. His visage was twisted with fury, chin tilted up as he glared down on Jun.
"You dare?!"
Blue sparkles like little stars floated forward from his wings and when he brought his katar forward to draw a fist-sized circle in the air the sparkles moved along. Twelve circles sparkled before they fired their beams through the alley, all on a collision course with Junsuina.

The way Retsu glared down at Araki was cold enough to freeze water. She wasn't just looking at him as if he were trash, no, she was looking at him in the way one looked at gum that they'd just scraped off their boot. The disgust was both personal and horribly impersonal, something to be discarded and forever forgotten. He wasn't hers to deal with. Once the foam finished setting she handed Rui a thermite grenade without so much as another glance at Araki .
"Unless he's as good at comin' back as you this'll put 'im down no matter what kinda fookin' durability 'e 'as. Use it, keep it. Choice is yours." With that she moved on in both meanings of the word, passing by Yingshe and gesturing to get a move on while Rui decided. There was much to do and little time to do it.
When Rui finished explaining what the mural was Retsu's stomach dropped.
There were so many…
They couldn't all be like Rui could they? The thought went through her mind that one of those might just have what was hers. Hissing at the spike of pain that shot through her eye Retsu denied the very idea despite the sickening gut feeling she had. It couldn't be true. There was no way.
Transfixed as she was she made the crucial mistake of failing to notice the new arrivals. Cursing while she whirled to face them she was just in time to see and feel the electrical pulse hit her head on. The pain vanished but other than that it did nothing. Retsu saw red. By the time she had her next conscious thought her grenade pouches felt lighter and the group looked like they'd been caught in a hurricane full of razor blades. Monofilament wire grenades were terrifying like that.
"Oy, Rui." Retsu said once more, just as quiet as she had when they'd found the mural. "Get up." The wait before she did brought with it emotions Retsu was unfamiliar with, a type of fear she hadn't felt before, one that was for someone else. “Yingshe. Scout ahead, we can't be ambushed lahk that again.”
Heading further in it didn't take long before they ran into the more heroic group of intruders. Time almost seemed to slow as Retsu saw Recall, The Gorgon and Yoko.
"Oh course. This was all you people."
Remembering their talk at the park her gun came up and she opened fire on Recall no matter what else was happening. She knew. She'd known. Lifting her gun higher between shots Retsu fired frag grenades to arc high with her attached grenade launcher, aiming some diagonally to clank off walls and the ceiling alike so they'd come in from all manner of angles. Rage had won out. Retsu didn't care what kind of damage she was taking. She didn't care what her allies were doing. All she cared about right now was hurting those that had hurt her.
That realization, the way she'd admitted it in her thoughts with such certainty that she'd been hurt by them caused her eye to widen and her clarity to partially return. In the distance she spotted a blur attacking The Gorgon. Almost as if through magic just the right words were spoken between the cacophony of battle and the thunderclap of gunfire and explosions.
It... it really had happened, hadn't it? She'd been whole once a long time ago, and then...
"Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaggghh!!!"
Her heart sank even as her rate of fire intensified. They'd pay. They'd all pay!
She wasn't able to get more than a few extra shots off before she had to throw herself to the side as the creature flew her way all fangs and teeth, her back slamming against the wall and her rifle spinning to follow and fire parting shots at the thing's back while it vanished down the corridors. The fact that it got away grated at her but fury put her back on a warpath.
She had heroes to kill.

That settled it. This chick was completely off her rockers. Death is the greatest kindness? Hah! Retsu supposed she could see it. She'd offered ‘Kindness’ herself to a fair amount of bumbling fools too stupid to realize their own limits, and hers. What was the saying again? Kindness to one's enemy is cruelty to oneself? With this version of Kindness Retsu didn't think it applied.
"Willingly, huh?" Retsu muttered under her breath while Megumi talked. She'd only briefly spotted the golden icon in the woman's satchel before her attention had gone back to the notebook but it made her connect some dots. From her experience Retsu was well aware that the moment anyone acted with the authority of someone else, especially someone they considered in the right, thinking oft gave way to doing whatever they wanted so long as they could vaguely justify it. There was nothing more dangerous than someone self-righteous for they wouldn't doubt whether what they were doing was just nor hesitate. They'd justify whatever they were doing as being the right thing to do. Retsu had seen -and been disgusted- by plenty of Pro Heroes that acted exactly like that.
Yes, Retsu had some doubts as to who Megumi considered ‘willing’. It was none of her business though. She just made the weapon, Megumi could do whatever the fook she wanted with it so long once they parted ways.
The rest of Megumi's words only strengthened Retsu's suspicions. Weaponry to forcefully get rid of those that didn't like her interpretation of when it was time to go, huh? Gee, she wondered just who exactly decided when it was time to go according to Megumi. Retsu didn't ask however. She had no intention of pointlessly ending up on that list. It'd be a shame to have to kill a potential customer, especially one that personally sought her out. At the mention of 'some depraved blood goddess' Retsu craned an eyebrow.
"Sounds lahk dere's a story dere," she chimed in with a snort. Not that she cared, no, this was simply a relatively safe way to see how Megumi would interpret the comment. Retsu was no stranger to crazy but figuring out the details of crazy was the difference between stumbling into your demise or smooth sailing all the way to your goal. A spike of pain shot through her left eye at the thought. Despite her arrogance Retsu was more than aware she wasn't immortal and that a moment of carelessness was all it would take. Somehow she felt that the woman walking next to her didn't share that level of self-awareness.
That made her dangerous.
"Hmm, all good. Ah've 'ad worse." To this day she still couldn't figure out how that walking pile of seaweed thought it'd be a good idea to drop down from the ceiling to ask about a commission while she was in the middle of working. That was just asking to get shot. "Design of the scythe's doable, shouldn'a take more than a day a' work once ah've 'ammered out the specifics."
That would have to wait until they were back at her workshop however. She was taking a bit of a leap of faith in inviting Megumi to it without knowing anything about her but the moment anything felt off she could always pack up and move to a different one. She still had enough contacts in the area to let her know who attacked the empty workshop if her location got sold off.
Speaking of said warehouse, it didn't take them all that long to arrive. Just a few minutes of walking and they were there. It wasn't located all too far from where her house used to be for multiple reasons. The first was that no one would think she went right back to the place that got raided, the second that she still had contacts in the area so even if they did she could still turn the tides and the third, well, Retsu refused to back off. Sure, another spot would've been safer but she dared anyone to try and come after her. They'd regret it.
"So, style requests." Retsu spoke up as if she was ticking off a box on a checklist once they were inside. At a glance it simply looked like a storage unit with a mechanic's tools stored inside, only upon closer inspection would it become clear that the stuff she was working on wasn't exactly car parts. "What d'ya want this thing ta look loik?" For her own tools Retsu went with efficiency over style but she was aware that most people would rather waste their time and money on flair. The fact that most of her own weaponry didn't survive more than a single fight and that it'd mainly be a waste to decorate them because of that was ignored entirely.
"Colors, markings, specific mechanisms. Is there anythin' that ain't on the papers that ya want added in?" Retsu asked as she plopped down on her workbench while gesturing at the desk chair next to it, pen in one hand and her own notebook in the other. Megumi's notebook she'd placed down next to her on the desk with the pages open so they both browse to specific pages. Clicking the end of the pen she looked at Megumi and got ready to take notes.

"Ah don't," Retsu fired back with a challenging smirk. "But ah rekken you do." She wasn't going to share her real reasons. Saying it was personal would give too much away. Hells, she'd said way more than she'd meant to already. With some luck the two fookers took each other down.
Junsuina's next request made Retsu dial her potential usefulness down a notch. She wanted to go tangle with her direct counter? Regardless of whether that was because of bleeding heart heroics or a need to prove herself Retsu's opinion on it was simple. It was the stupidest thing she'd heard since she got here. Well, the stupidest thing until the redhead opened her mouth again.
"Hoo~" Tilting her head further to make sure the blood streaming down her forehead didn't obscure her vision as she leaned in Retsu fixed Jun with a look that could kill. "Y'r talkin' a lot a shite fer someone that knows who ah am. Ah'll remember that."
Ignoring the spikes of pain that still shot through her as Junsuina departed Retsu got to work as well. There was no time to waste. Hah. When was there ever?
---
"Hmpf. Such a mess. Maya. Clean up at once and rejoin me."
"Yes, father."
Straightening up in a way that clacked the heels of his boots together the man set off in advance towards the source of the commotion. If there were any opportunity for Junsuina to exploit it would be this one, whether to take down the father or secure the daughter.
Back in the alleyway she had collapsed Maya closed and locked the case she had brought with her. The girl's face remained expressionless even as she retrieved a sterile cloth and doused it in a bottle of antiseptic. Should Jun approach her that was the scene she would stumble upon. A locked case, a cleaning cloth and a girl with dried blood on her face. More importantly, if she had an eye for detail, a girl whose left eye was a different color than had been before.

Training covered many aspects. How to deal with ranged combatants. How to face off with common quirk types. How to calmly approach a situation. There was one thing however that no form of training could prepare one for. Dealing with the batshit insane.
When Retsu's manic grin split further and her eyes honed in on the trio coming her way they hesitated, their descent slowing as they did. Something that proved to be a costly mistake when one more was tossed at them and taken out along with one of the originals. That left two to go and wouldn't you know it, Retsu just happened to have two hands to squeeze the fookin' life out of them.
At Nobu's words her eye briefly widened before it fell into a newfound focus. Ah, he knew, huh? That made things a lot easier.
"Works fer me!"
Temper was back on her side and a hand had reached into one of her pouches before she'd even finished shouting. Out came one of her firecracker-pattern explosives. The design was simple but effective, it was in essence a set of a dozen small fragmentation grenades tied together with a steel wire that ended in a ring. Where they differed from normal frag grenades was that no safety had to be held down to pull the pins out and that the steel wire was tied to the pins of each and every last one of them like grapes on a vine.
With the ring around her finger Retsu swung her arm wide, metallic pings resounding as the grenades flew out one by one to cover a wide stretch of the wall before detonating all around the pair of Carrion that was descending far slower than the ones that were facing off with Nobu.
The way one of the two landed was telling. He wasn't getting back up again. The other, well, Temper had a way of making sure he didn't either. Retsu cast only a quick glance back, just enough to check that Nobu was still occupied, before she made her way out of the alley.
The two gangs were done for. That was all she'd been here for. It was time to go.

"Oh sure, lemme just grab the fookin' sound bomb makin' kit that they conveniently left roite here," Retsu sassed back with an eye roll. Dammit. If she'd known they'd have to blow the place when they left she'd at least have brought a duffel bag to loot shit first. What a waste.
"Just put tha sonar on a cart and get it ta the drop-off." Which was a fancy way of saying 'put it next to the old iron pick-up container' so her associates at the junkyard could come grab the thing and smuggle it to her in one piece. Not that she'd told Olivia any of those details of course, there was no need for her to know any of that. Taking a glance around Retsu grumbled some more before getting to work in full. There wasn't anyone in a good enough state anymore to work her frustrations out on and kicking someone when they were down was pointless when you were about to blow them up anyway.
Slapping several bricks of C4 to the outside of the boat while circling around it Retsu grabbed a few odds and ends that looked helpful before finally climbing the ladder onto the boat proper. Only an amateur would neglect rigging the important parts in favor of the hull. One more brick went onto the dive tanks, another on the navigational instruments and a third below deck on the engine. It was there that she found something interesting at last when removing some panellling.
Modifications.
The place where the sonar was to be fitted had some extra components. When it was present they'd be entirely covered both from the outside of the boat and the inside, hells, even with it removed the boat would look like nothing out of the norm but with the insides exposed like this? Oh, perhaps a layman couldn't tell the difference but Retsu was familiar with this sort of stuff. From just the parts she could see at a glance she could tell, that shit would up the lethality of the sonar by an unhealthy margin. Never had Retsu been glad her grenade harness was covered in pouches.
Less than ten minutes later she made her way back out of the building with enough contraband to practically double what she was getting out of this mission. Pressing the detonator she didn't even bother to confirm the target's destruction. She knew what her stuff did. It was gone.
"We're done 'ere." Retsu said curtly and with a sense of finality. This part of the deal was done, now all she had to do was put the sound bombs Yingshe wanted together and ship them off.
