Round 3. The smoke eventually cleared, and the cymbal monkey was still alive. It was readying its next attack when a whole swathe of grenades from Jun, Farrin and Kenta were thrown at it, disrupting its charge and was promptly blinded by the explosions once again. As for the aerial assault, Kaito swung his newly-gotten bat hard, demolishing two of the planes to pieces and clipping the wing of the third, while his weapon began to play some sick dubstep. Even though they didn't have the chance to dance to the beat, the third plane looked like it was doing so with the way it spiralled out of control before it crashed on the shelf. It would've been problem solved. If it didn't catch on fire. Flames began to spread from the crash site, engulfing the shelf and the toys sitting on it. And not only that- the other planes seemed to have followed suit, also crashing on the shelves despite there being no further interference on the students' end to spread even more flames. While there were less toys to worry about thanks to the continued assault with grenades, the remaining ones were on fire. Some stayed on the shelves to stretch out their arms as the group ran past, looking to catch anyone within reach in a too-warm embrace. The group was also still being shot at. Not by the planes this time, but by Kenta's drone. As soon as it got deployed and it moved to its optimal spot, rather than shoot at its intended targets, it spun in place instead, shooting pebbles in all directions. Some of the makeshift bullets flew through the flames as well, coating itself in embers that would surely burn whoever was unlucky enough to get hit. Talk about turning a situation from bad to worse. Round 3. Emilia's strategy to make a trench with her drill not only trapped anyone who ran into it, but it also destroyed some of the tiles that were producing those strange effects. Unfortunately for her however, the drill would suddenly stop its wreckage of the terrain eventually, stuck in place as its wielder spun in place instead at the same speed. She wouldn't be the only one having stomach problems. Freja rewinded herself just before a gust of cold air escaped the blue tile. While she returned to her upright position, a wave of nausea would hit her. And it couldn't have come at a worse time. Thunder, rain and lightnin' Danger, water risin' Clamor, sirens wailing It's such a bad signThe dance floor upped itself in power. What started as warmth on red would spit out spires of flames at their hottest. Blue blew out a chilling air that would slow anyone down with its frost, even freeze them if they stayed too long. Bolts of lightning struck to the beat on yellow tiles. And the gravity got so strong on purple that it would render people stuck if stepped on. One of the only people out of danger currently was Momo. Blame it on her luck or strategy on the bad guy's part, but the dance floor was not going elemental on the speakers. From the safety of her spot, she had a chance to end the rocker's hold on the people once and for all. Would she use it though when her colleagues were getting sick on the dance floor? The other person avoiding the elements was Noa. Her bubbles brought her higher instead, ever closer to the adversary they were meant to take down in their challenge. Seeing her make her up, the rocker walked to the edge of the stage towards her and laughed at her attempt. "Think you can slow my roll, little girl? I'd worry about your landing first!" As he played another riff, the last bubble platform she made would pop as soon as she stepped on it, coating her in the sticky aftermath. She had a few seconds to react before she did fall back to the ground. Drill Dozer Drawback: It will get stuck and send the user spinning at the same RPM out of control. Rollback Drawback: User may get severe motion sickness after warping. Bubble Gum Drawback: Bubbles tend to pop too early, covering anyone close with the sticky aftermath and slowing them down. Round 2. Jun bore the brunt of the energy ball with her makeshift shield and, surprisingly enough, would've absorbed much of the damage. As it's not the best shield around however (what else did you expect much from a car door?) it didn't absorb much of the force. As a result, Jun would find herself flying, carried forward by the blast she caught. If this were a race, she made quite a bit of headway! The toys Farrin lobbed his grenades at took a direct hit. Gas escaped the containers, and any plush that ran out of the smoke bomb would be seen running in all directions and even into the shelves instead. Needless to say, they're pretty disoriented. Farrin would even feel himself gain a bit of his speed back once Kenta stuck that sticker on his forehead. He won't be in his prime, but at least he won't be left behind. Kenta's climb to the top of the shelf would give him a good view of what lied ahead. Way off in the distance was one single door. Also in the distance was several more aisles. Who knew what else they'd be met with on the way there. And the aisles weren't the only thing to worry about. Kenta would be the first to hear it, but the rest would follow suit: a fleet of plastic airplanes could be heard and seen flying down from the high ceiling. With their targets locked on the group, bullets rained from each, not meant to penetrate but they were going to hurt. Not all may be lost though. Hikari would procure a remote controller from her briefcase mid-stride. If she were to use it, one of the planes would veer from its group, and she would've hijacked the toy for herself.

Round 2. As the students surged ahead unafraid of their trial, the scene before them would continue to shift, as if the arena is shaping itself into something fitting to what already existed within it. Two massive stereo speakers came into view, blaring out the song the man above's been singing. Maybe doing something about that would affect his hold on the people? Reaching it would be the hard part however. After a few steps forward the floor cascaded in colour into the familiar squares of a disco dancer floor, blinking to the rhythm of the music. Which seemed harmless enough, especially since it added some much needed light to the place, though everyone would feel some kind of effect based on the colour of the square they stepped on. Warmth on red, cold on blue, a tingly sensation on yellow, weighed down on purple. The speakers were on the far end of the dance floor. Right though, the hard part. There's still brainwashed people to worry about. Noa trapped two with her bombs, with the glowstick-wearing concert-goers banging their fists on the shield before covering their ears as cheers and whistles were played within. The other three however were not so unfortunate. The bombs still burst but boos escaped them instead, loud as usual though no forcefield emerged. Momentarily stunned, they were eventually free to get away from that noise, with one diving down to grasp Noa's ankles, one prepared to ram themselves against Freja, while the last had their hand outstretched towards Momo's bat arm. Emilia, by her lonesome, was handling the onslaught of people well, safely dispatching them behind her with ease. The numbers seem to rise though. If that problem remained ignored, she could very well get overwhelmed. Clap Trap Drawback: Instead of playing claps, it boos the target. The forcefield bubble doesn’t activate though, so the target can leave at any time. Welcome to Armor Wars, UAU Edition! What's a competition without its spectators eh? Housed in a secret location within Tokyo was the showcase for the tech involved in the brand new competition everyone knew and loved. No price was too high to pay, highlighted with the generous stock of food and drinks at the bar that patrons could visit before moving to the main area. Several tables were set up to hold all the stolen liberated gear, free to pick up and test at everyone's leisure in ramshackle cages also erected in the space. A brawl already started before the group even made it to said cage, with at least three people fighting over a watch that supposedly did more than tell the time. They were promptly removed from the premises for not following the rules, minimal as they were. The far wall was dominated by a screen, showing the familiar white snow of static. A burly man would move to kick its side. Then the screen was fixed, displaying the arena and its unlucky souls for all within the room to see. A teller nearby was already collecting bets not on who would win, but on who would live and who would die. It's a simple gathering all around. Cheer on the competitors, test and barter on gear, and most of all: have a great time! As for the list of gear... Gear: Jeanne’s Arch Rank: S Description: An ornately decorated stone arch. Walking through it grants you a portable cannon with a single cannonball in it and changes your clothing to a medieval equivalent. The arch can only be used once per round. Drawback: The clothing manifested by the arch may be positively silly. Additionally there is a chance the cannon does not contain a cannonball meaning you’re just lugging around a heavy piece of iron. Created by: Jinx
Gear: ShockStick v1 Rank: A Description: An unremarkable jet black metal rod, roughly the size and shape of an EpiPen. When engaged by pressing a button, it can be jabbed into someone to deliver an electric shock. It has 3 settings, labelled ‘Deter’, ‘Stun’, and ‘Disable’. Drawbacks: Due to an error with the voltage-gating, the settings may not be descriptive of their actual function. When the drawback is triggered ‘Deter’ delivers a shock strong enough to knock someone out, ‘Stun’ is about as effective as a joy buzzer and ‘Disable’ short-circuits the device for one round. Gear: Knuckle Duster BUSTAH Rank: A Description: A pair of thick, brass knuckles that cover the top of the hand to guard it. These bad boiz have been modified to provide an option of 50\50 chance of either launching a firework explosion upon impact, or bursting out gunpowder! A gust of wind NORMALLY pushes the fireworks & gunpowder towards the opponent. Nothin' beats the element of surprise, suckaaaaas! Drawback: They may heat up warmer than a toasted marshmallow. Round 1. Environmental catastrophes. Coordinated mayhem. Tokyo had been met with many great dangers lately, which only accelerated its need for protectors. As a response to these circumstances, a challenge was hosted for the hero hopefuls of UAU, to test their abilities in handling any situation. Several support majors and gear industries were called upon to craft their creations for the event as well, to not only showcase the ingenuity of their inventions, but the ingenuity - and perhaps bravery - of the participants who will utilize the experimental equipment. Each student would be given a device that displays a list of gear assigned to them, which could be selected to materialize before them to use. With the sheer amount of gear available, no one was expected to physically carry them all. Once everyone received their devices and assigned items, they would be led into a room, if it could even be called that. It was less like a room and more like a white void, the doors only sliding closed to emphasize the emptiness once the last student went through. The only things everyone would see are each other and a digital clock projected on the floor, counting down the seconds. There was also a tingling sensation in the air. Not enough to be oppressive, but enough to clue many in on the fact that some kind of field was at work. Totally unrelated to the fact that any attempt at using one's Quirk would fail. This discovery would be short-lived as the timer reached zero and the scenery shifted.
The students would be met with darkness first. Pitch-black, to the point where not even one's hand could be seen if held in front of their face. Then one voice pierced through the void, followed by an echoed response. Can't hold on much longerBut I will never let go! Two flashes of coloured lights followed, joined in tandem with drums. I know it's a one-way trackTell me now how long this'll last! A whine of a microphone suddenly screeched in the air, followed by a voice much smaller than the singing. "Hello? Can you hear me?" I'm not gonna think this wayNor will I count on others! "Sorry for speaking in the middle of the performance. I was to state your objective in this challenge." Shuffling of papers could be heard. "A rockstar has the audience under his control. You are to subdue the villain with minimal damage towards the civilians." Close my eyes and feel it burnNow I see what I've gotta do! The voice sniffed. "Well. Good luck I suppose. Shout your questions if you have any." Then there was a click. A spotlight shone on a stage set far and high above the group. The figure on top, red spiked hair and shades worn indoors, grinned down at the competitors below. A guitar flared to life, and with it a mass of people would appear from the darkness on the same level as the students, ready to do their master of music's bidding. With arms outstretched, they charged.

Round 1. Environmental catastrophes. Coordinated mayhem. Tokyo had been met with many great dangers lately, which only accelerated its need for protectors. As a response to these circumstances, a challenge was hosted for the hero hopefuls of UAU, to test their abilities in handling any situation. Several support majors and gear industries were called upon to craft their creations for the event as well, to not only showcase the ingenuity of their inventions, but the ingenuity - and perhaps bravery - of the participants who will utilize the experimental equipment. Each student would be given a device that displays a list of gear assigned to them, which could be selected to materialize before them to use. With the sheer amount of gear available, no one was expected to physically carry them all. Once everyone received their devices and assigned items, they would be led into a room, if it could even be called that. It was less like a room and more like a white void, the doors only sliding closed to emphasize the emptiness once the last student went through. The only things everyone would see are each other and a digital clock projected on the floor, counting down the seconds. There was also a tingling sensation in the air. Not enough to be oppressive, but enough to clue many in on the fact that some kind of field was at work. Totally unrelated to the fact that any attempt at using one's Quirk would fail. This discovery would be short-lived as the timer reached zero and the scenery shifted.
The group would find themselves in an aisle in a toy store. It was a massive one frankly, where it might've been more accurate to call it a mall full of toys than just a store, but it was a toy store nonetheless. Anything with eyes - the dolls, plushies, squeaky toys - seem to all be directed at the students though. Creepy. Claps eventually began to ring. Starting far away then growing louder and louder until... The students came face to face with a wind-up cymbal monkey. Its face was unsettling but it was a tiny thing, not even a foot tall. What could it do against a slew of individuals training to be heroes really? It raised its arms in the air. Clapped its cymbals some more. Which maybe would've been fine if it weren't for the fact that its mouth started moving and - more concerning - its cymbals started glowing. "OOH OOH AH AH AH AH!!!!" A ball of energy formed above its instruments, much larger than the toy was, and it threw it on the ground. A hole was formed as a result of the blast. As the monkey prepared its next attack, there was a voice, not from the toy but from somewhere overhead. "Greetings students, and welcome to your challenge. You need only to escape this location you've found yourselves in." The orb was bigger than the first attempt. The voice only laughed, low and deep. "I suggest you start moving. Good luck. Plus Ultra and all." The monkey threw its energy at the students as toys tumbled out of their shelves.
