She only hoped that no one had kicked it away, or that it hadn't been damaged with the amount of people she heard around her. With careful fingers, she would feel her fingers grasp around her cane, the bumping bedazzled handle being a good indicator that she had grabbed onto the right thing. A smile grew on her lips and in the next instant she would stand up proudly and get ready to start moving her way back to her known path.
That was of course, before she was pulled into the alleyway by someone. With a sudden gasp, she would feel the cold concrete on her shoulders, trying to look forward and follow her eyes along with where she heard the voice. "U-Um, you can have my purse if you want it." She would shakily move her blue purse towards the voice, her head bowing a bit in fear. "I apologize though, I cannot let you know what cards are valuable until I touch them." "Thank you." Grabbing onto the drink, she would just hold onto it and let it warm her hands. When he started to describe the cup instead of the drink, she would smile at his sweetness to help her. In all honesty, she liked to be told the contents so that she could get used to what the flavors were when she heard them. The outside of the cup and the drink were described for her vividly, which she appreciated.
"I thank you for that. When it comes to food or drinks, I like to know what's in it, so that I can get used to the taste of certain foods. Sometimes it's hard to tell when an ingredient is made in a different way than I am used to." She may not have explained it well, but the way that Shigeo discussed things made her able to imagine it well. "Nice to meet you Shigeo Kuse. I am Maisie D’Arcangelo, a first year. I'm excited to be able to work with a senpai." She would bow just a little bit, wanting to make sure she didn't spill her drink. Most of the time, she was able to get a sense for where she was and where she needed to go by similar smells, sounds and movements that she needed to make. Because of this, she had decided to try and get something to eat while waiting for Maddie to get her nails trimmed at a local pet salon. Due to the fact that she had been there so many times, she was thinking that it would be a done deal for her to get there and back with no hassle at all.
Of course, that was before she was bumped to the side, losing track of where she had been beforehand. Touching the wall beside her, she gripped around for a texture that felt familiar to her, but found herself at a loss. With deep breaths, she knew that she would have to grab up her white cane and get back onto a path that she knew. In her confusion however, there was no telling how alert she really was to everything around her. For the first time in a long time, they were going to be mostly on their own, relying solely on Maddie to understand the world around them. She would tap around for her head before speaking. "Okay Maddie girl, we can do this." A semi-confident grumble would escape her before she would hold onto her bag tightly and continue forward.
Today, she was going to be helping the baking club. You may think that she wasn't a good baker, but she was a great taste tester. Something about her other senses being heightened, or at least that's what people around her said. She was also very good at providing the group funding for anything they wanted to bake, too! She tried to make herself an important asset in whatever she got herself involved in.
Thankfully, she had gotten used to the way that she needed to go to get to where her baking club was meeting. She wasn't entirely sure she had met or had a conversation with the person she was meeting, but he was a member nonetheless. As she arrived, Maddie would stop at the front of the stand, bumping her head on Maisie's leg to signal that there was something in front of her. She'd place a hand down, touching the table and starting to make her way around before noticing a voice. "Oh, you must be my partner for today." She would bow, before trying to adjust her head to look in the general direction of where she heard talking. "I'm sorry, you will have to pass it to me, I am blind. Maisie has a gentle demeanor to her. On the outside, you may assume that she is helpless and can't do anything for herself. In reality, she is more capable than people think and can very much hold her own if prompted to. Otherwise, she is very kind and always takes time out of her day to do what she can to help those around her, not matter how close she is to them. Maisie tries her best to use her words in situations that she can't fully understand due to her inability to see, as someone's emotions and facial expressions is something that she has to guess. With black and pink hair. Those that have touched her hair say that its incredibly soft and silky. Her eyes are closed and covered with a white lace cover due to her blindness. Her clothing is usually comfortable but elegant with a preference for whites and cream colors. [ o] HISTORY Maisie's life was a very simple one. For her whole life, she was looked after and treated as though she was entirely helpless. Every one of her needs and desires were taken care of my staff that were around her at all hours of her day. The reason for this? She was born blind into an extremely wealthy family. As some would say, she had the privilege to lead a normalized life due to the fact that she was able to receive state of the art accommodations for her.
Even so, there was always the nagging feeling that she was helpless, perhaps even lesser, than those her age due to her lack of eyesight. The thing was, she wasn't actually blind. If Maisie did choose to open her eyes, her appearance became something that others apparently feared. Because of this, she chose to live her life as if she couldn't see, isolating her from many situations she got into.
She wasn't completely alone though. Maisie had her sister, Gabriella, her best friend and bodyguard, and her guide dog Maddie. With those three, she never felt that her life was totally dull. Moving to Japan with the three of them, their parents encouraged her to go to UA because she would be safe from harm. Sadly, she didn't want to be seen as helpless. With the idea of helping people with her quirk, Maisie secretly signed up to be a support student.

When Maisie sings, wings sprout from the back of her head [ o]. These wings have large, eyes with red iris on them, and have no other purpose other than being intimidating. She is able to locate those within the proximity of her quirk through the vibrations that here voice gives off. Her voice has a natural hum to it, exaggerating the tone that she carries out. Rather than "seeing" them, Maisie can see the outline of them as her voice is not able to reverberate off of living beings. Maisie's awareness is boosted to her quirk level when she is singing. As an added bonus, the pink of her hair glows when she sings!
