A family party!! How long had it been? At least ten days, that was as much as she had bothered to count on her fingers anyway! Rui was zooming this way and that in her and Lilian's modest apartment, throwing confetti all over their couch and getting drinks and bowls of mixed snacks ready for when everyone arrived. Lilian was going to be here, Sho was going to be here and perhaps most excitingly for Rui, Callisto was going to be here too! It wasn't that she disliked her other brothers not at all! But with how good she was at getting herself into trouble, she practically saw Sho what felt like every other day because he needed to rescue her from herself. Lilian she already lived with too. Callisto on the other hand... How long had it been since she last saw him... AT LEAST like, ten days + ten days.. It was a lot!!

Getting a little step stool, Rui put it in front of their wine closet fishing out one of the bottles they had been saving for a while now. Did the others like red wine? Maybe!! She certainly did! Putting the bottle on the dining table, she ran over to the entrance and looked up at the banner she had put up.

''It's totes beautiful.'' She snapped a picture on her phone, bragging rights for later!! Now all she had to do was wait for the whole party to arrive.

"Yeah um, this is it." Lilian would be walking with Callisto, his hands placed inside his pockets as if he was afraid to get too close to the person he'd been apart from for so many years. With their weird encounters only a while ago at the club, Lilian was trying his best to stay on good behavior for Callisto. "It isn't much, but it's home for now." Lilian would look upwards at the apartment complex that he and Rui lived in, before looking back to Cal to see what he thought of it.

With a motion of his head and body, he would go up to the door, add in his keycard into the machine, and open the door for the two of them. "Thanks for agreeing to this by the way- I know that you really didn't have to come here, but I'm sure that they're excited to see you." Maybe they weren't always on the best terms, but he was sure that they would appreciate seeing him for the first time in a long time. "I don't know if much has changed-" he'd start to head up the stairs, keeping a mindful eye of Callisto as he made every step count. "-but it'd be nice for you to see my place."

It was a surreal experience, to say the least. One day, Callisto had been living just as he had chosen, with not a single thought regarding his previous life coming to his mind, only for that past to sneak up on and back into his life. He thought that part of his life was over — he thought that his time as an adult had come, and that those he knew from times before would be off in their own endeavors. In fact, from how Callisto had been split from their company, he'd thought that the Matsuis had moved onto that next stage without him.

Perhaps, then, they'd found him after he'd finally caught up to them.

Callisto dressed casually; in a white t-shirt — just a tad baggy — with an imprint over his heart and a pair of ripped jeans, he walked at Lilian's side. In his opposite arm, he held a paper bag closed, as though to not reveal its contents just yet. It would only be proper of him to bring something of his own when invited into their home, after all. But even more so than that, it was important for him to make it special to them, just as being invited over was to him.

"Seems like plenty much," he'd say with a laugh, pulling a hand through his hair — brushing past the buns he'd put up — as he followed Lilian's gaze. He didn't seem enamored one way or the other, but there was a slight twinkle to his eye.

Truthfully, it felt like fate for it to be Lilian who'd found him. Though he had thought of the Matsui siblings as his friends, Lilian was particularly special to him. Was it because he was the only guy in that collective? Perhaps. or, perhaps, it was something more — this wasn't the time for him to ponder that thought, though.

Following behind Lilian, Callisto offered the other man a nod. Though Callisto didn't have to accept the offer, it wasn't as though he was going to have turned them down one way or another. If he missed this chance to see them again, then what were the chances he was going to see them ever again? It was only a mere coincidence that he'd met Lilian again, even more so the invitation to meet the rest of them again — he couldn't expect such an occurrence to drop on him again if he chose to decline now.

"It's not a hassle beings here — long time coming, really. Hell, I'm happy you invited me at all, given my–" he'd flick at his bangs, smiling at the sight of his blued hair– "differences, since back then." Though this, of course, included the more unsavory changes he'd fallen into. He wondered what Lilian thought about what he'd become, what he saw when he looked to Callisto now.

An invitation to his siblings' apartment wasn't uncommon, as Sho stopped by at least once a week to exchange information and keep up with whatever they had going on with their lives. This was more of a general interest for Ume and Lil, but for Rui, it was mainly out of an obligation since she was the most unhinged of the trio. Even still, an invite wasn't too uncommon, but the person who invited him Lil, instead of the other two, was odd. The intention was a party, but Sho wasn't planning on staying too long. He had just returned from a long job in Hokkaido and was planning to go home and rest before receiving the message.

With a gift of Yubari Melon Steam cake in tow, he would enter the apartment from the wall instead of the door. In his line of work, you could never be too careful, and if one of the siblings were compromised, they all would likely be. A necessary precaution in his eyes, he would enter without warning, nearly running into Rui in the process before his eyes immediately shot up to the...questionable sign that was homemade. Either Rui or Ume, for sure. "Who is being welcomed home?" he was pretty confident this didn't apply to him, given his frequency of running into them. Regardless of the answer, he could hand the bag of snacks to Rui and take a seat at the table, waiting patiently for whatever came next.

“Shō-Bro!! Can I hold your-” she stuck her hands out, immediately trying to bother him about his sword, but instead finding that a bag of snacks had been placed into her hands. “Oooo! ~” the bag rustled as Rui looked through it. “Why it’s Calli-Dalli of course! The Callster himself! Lili said so.” She nodded confidently, sitting down on the floor. “Do you like it?” She gestured up at the banner with one hand. “Ume helped me with the grammar- speaking of which!!” She hopped back up and immediately put the snack bag on the table. “She’s gonna love these snacks!” Climbing up into her chair, she sat opposite Shō.

“He’s alive apparently, isn’t that cool? I thought maybe he might have been attacked by a bear or something.” She pouted, kicking her legs idly under the table. Rui once saw Callisto getting attacked by a bear in her dream and ever since thought that might have been the way he died. Because really, what other reason would he have for disappearing? No way he had done it willingly, no one would willingly leave adorable Rui behind! There had to be some underlying reason. “Lili is bringing him here now.” She was growing bored quickly, but grinned as she looked back at Shō. “Where did you get the snacks? Did you steal them?? Did you buy them??? If you bought them then you’re a goody-two-shoes!” She giggled, pointing at her older brother.

The fact that Callisto was okay with what he had made him happy. It was far differnet from the nice mansion that they had lived in before, and he didn't have the same luxuries as before. He couldn't provide super nice meals, or grant him whatever he wanted as long as he listened up like before. In the times that he could, he had thought about running away with Callisto, even away from his siblings, but such things were quickly taken away from him as a thought. Dreams and reality shouldn't usually mingle.

"I think they all still see you like family, so I think you'll be fine. It's a nice chance to see everyone again, and... I'm just they missed you." He knew that he did, but he tried not to let that be known, even if his cheeks seemed to redden at the thought of it. "I missed you."

As they entered the house, he was excited to see Sho too. Having been a bit more estranged from them after they all left the clutches of their adoptive father. Taking off his shoes, he'd keep the door open for Callisto, before looking around for his siblings. "You two in here? We're here!" It would be hopefully a god night full of games and happiness again, and that he could give Cal a support system one again. This time, he wasn't going to leave him behind.

Callisto had never been one as inducted in the matters of wealth as his friends had been. Lest they forget, the story of the Tengokus — himself and his mother — had been that of a subservient role, one whose existence was initially founded upon their survival. To live as they wished, and to rest themselves where they sought to lie, was predicated upon the willingness to accept their role.

Not to say their relationship was unfavorable, however. It was this dynamic that had allowed the Tengokus to survive as they had, and to still dwell within Tokyo's metropolitan sprawl. And, even beyond the professional agreement that had begun their first meetings, Callisto considered himself blessed to have found people he cared for. At a time in his life when his world was picked apart, and in its place had been a world reconstructed anew, he'd had found people who readily took him in as another part of their whole.

But, in their absence from another, they, too, had been rebuilt. For as far as the Venetian understood it, he only knew of the death of their former father, not how it took place. He'd made his share of theories as to the specifics — how could he not? — but he couldn't imagine a reality that came about as a result of lawful conduct; certainly not with their sudden disappearance, at least.

Slipping in from behind Lilian, Callisto peered into the home. From what he recalled of the Matsuis siblings, he hadn't imagined their home to necessarily be the cleanliest or to maintain such a standard for their home. Not as a matter of critique — despite his own efforts, his home still had its share of clutter — but as what he'd expected of the particularly... chaotic energy, he'd say, they demonstrated.

Having slipped his shoes off beside the door, the Venetian leaned forward from behind Lilian, balancing himself with a hand on Lilian's back. "Everyone still alive?" He'd ask with a laugh. "I can say I am, surprising as that might be."

Like always, Rui was extra chatty. Sho was half-paying attention, nodding at specific intervals as he looked around their apartment which had clearly been cleaned by Lil while Rui had decided to make the sign. It was likely, no, albeit guaranteed that she threw a tantrum to get her way. Ume was pretty good at doing whatever as long as food was involved, and he didn't bend the knee when it came to her tantrums. Lil was perhaps a little too kind, but there wasn't much that could be done with someone like Rui.

"Uh-huh. You know your sign is spelled wrong, right? And yes, I bought them. You should know better than anyone that I'm not a goody-two-shoes." Rui had been there many times to watch Sho slaughter people or take high-profile jobs when he felt like it. When Lilian and Calisto arrived, Sho stood up immediately, heading over to shake Cal's hand. "Sho. Nice to meet you." he gave a pleasant smile before he turned back to face the other two. "So, what is our plan for tonight?"

''Nuh-uh it's not!'' She retorted, looking back up at the sign. It clearly spelled walcom hoem. Umeko may not be the best at math, but Rui knew for a fact that her grammar was stellar! ''Yeahh I know!'' She giggled, kicking her feet back and forth impatiently as she sat and waited for Lilian and Callisto to arrive. Waiting almost made Rui deflate a little bit, but once they arrived she sprung right up from her seat and waved at them. ''Lili!! Calli!! Come in, come in!'' She immediately tried to squeeze her way past Sho so she could hug Lilian and Callisto. ''I'm alive! You're alive! I thought the bear got you..'' She blinked her eyes as she looked up at Callisto again.

''...Wait, who are you?'' She furrowed her brow. His face looked familiar, but his hair was totally different. Tugging on Lilian's sleeve she pointed over at Callisto. ''Is that Calli? He doesn't look how I remember.'' Despite her tendency to just talk and talk, she actually gave Callisto some space to explain himself, and anyone else who wanted to chime in. ''Oh well in any case, welcome home!!'' She grinned, running over to stand under the 'WALCOM HOEM' banner as she gestured up at it. ''Getting drunk of course!'' She smiled at Sho, ''and eating lots of snacks! We have it all here in our palace, isn't that right Lili?''

Once everyone had gotten inside and started to settle down, Rui was just about to bring up games when someone rang on the door. Much like a dog springing up to bark at the new visitors, she had already raced over to the door to open it. ''More besties?'' She smiled innocently, opening the door only to be met with a barrage of gunfire, bullet after bullet sinking into her before she collapsed onto the floor. ''We got her, we got her!'' Reported one of the many masked men through his walkie-talkie. He quickly flinched once he looked up and saw that more people were present. ''Th-There's more of them!!'' His voice was panicked, they were clearly caught off guard as they all reached to reload their guns. Meanwhile, if anyone looked out the window or tried to escape, they would find a giant eye looming, watching the group.

It was such a nice feeling to see everyone together again. He knew that his biological siblings were tolerant, of not fond of Callisto. The fact that they could all reunite felt good to him, but it wasn't going to be something that he outwardly vocalized. Keeping Callisto close, he'd look over to Sho at the cold introduction- it was too like him. Smiling over to Rui, he'd move over and give her a warm hug; Rui was the person that he felt the most comfortable around, after all.

"It's Callisto, yes." He'd nod, looking back to the person he was able to reconnect with. "We found each other again, and I thought it would be nice for us to just... I'm not sure, catch up?" He wasn't the most talkative of them after all, so he wasn't sure what would best to start it off with. "Maybe we can all eat something together and watch a movie." At the same time, it could easily be too comfortable when you did things like that.

Before anything could really happen, Lilian was surprised to see... Gunfire? Was he dreaming? As far as he knew, the only person that was a notable villain was Rui; everyone was good at covering their tracks and to make sure that their lives were very separate. Hell, since settling into his current life, Lilian had done nothing villain life to be seen as bad. Still, Lilian stepped in front of Callisto and glared to the man with guns. "What is the meaning of this? Is it polite to come into someone's house and shoot the place up? Even if you're wanting to kill her, you do know that the way you did it is idiotic, right?" Making this much noise around four villains that wouldn't hesitate to end them was the stupidest thing that he'd seen all week. "You seem to have no self-control when it comes to your mortality." More than worried for Rui, he was annoyed.

Callisto quirked an eye towards Sho. His eyes caught Rui, his hands pushed against Lilian, and he couldn't catch a hint of Ume. What it caught was, instead, the introduction of a new Matsui. Or, he supposed, eldest? Frankly, he didn't know what to call him, let alone think of him; he barely had a working understanding of who he was or where he'd come from.

Callisto took the outstretched hand and pulled it, carefully so, into a hug, wrapping his free hand around Sho's back and offering a pat. Well, as best a pat as he could with a bag in his hand. "C'mon man, don't need to be so formal about it." He would have continued his address of Sho, but Callisto had to pull away. First and foremost, he had to immediately brace himself, open his arms wide, and readily take Rui's hug head-on. That hadn't changed, at least.

While she and Lilian spoke, Callisto slipped on past them, moving forward through the place — eyeing the decor, both what he imagined Rui threw up today and what was likely the standard — and setting the bag on the tabletop with the clink of the contents inside.

"I'm not gonna die, first off; not for a good, long while." He pulled his hand away from the bag, reaching his hand up and, with his thumb and forefinger, gently twisting some of his bangs between them. He looked up to his hair as he did, watching the hue turn and spiral. "Second off... I'm trying a new look. Something less 'old man,' sterile — I don't know. Something different."

And then the doorbell sounded. Callisto raised an eyebrow, twisting his focus out towards the door; who else would be ringing the doorbell? Ume, maybe? But why would she follow after both Lilian and himself? And, wait, wouldn't she just have a key to the door? He watched on as Rui bounded up from her seat, following her with a raised eye until she, eventually, opened the door to a steam of gunfire.

Lilian was up and in the way. With a click of his tongue, a quick sidestep, and a pointed tap against the floor, a jolt flowed out from the man's leg into the floor; as soon as it left his body, Callisto was shot across the room towards the door. Even as Lilian spoke, he tucked in his shoulder and made for the full body check. If he was lucky, he might throw a few back at the sudden force. Furthermore, as he shoved his weight into the man, a weak charge pulsed through his body onto the man's chest; with it, a sudden, rushing force came as he was pushed away from Cal.
