Shinjuku, 5:57 PM, Monday.
The arraignment of the man known as ‘The Elementalist ‘ was running on the major Tokyo News channels. A dangerous man who had caused the Tokyo government a severe headache by illegally experimenting on quirkers through a government-funded facility. He was well known by the populace of Japan as he became linked to a human trafficking ring as the allegations came out. Some people were found heavily mutated, and others… were never found.
For all accounts, it should have been a normal day. It sure seemed that way with the usually busy streets of Tokyo continued, ignorant of the immense devastation that would befall them in just a few minutes. Those tuning into the courtroom would find the judge listing off the Elementalist’s extensive rap sheet and then ask for a plea. The silence was palpable until the man exhaled and spoke
“Not Guilty.” The courtroom was in an uproar over this as his crimes were undeniable. Still, The Elementalist would continue, “I did this to help. I would, and I WILL do it again.” A smirk appeared on his face, and his features would begin to melt into a green goo-like substance. The ballif would attempt to use quirk nullification to detain him, and to the shock of the rest of the courtroom, this would fail as The Elementalist would fade, leaving some cryptic parting words
“They will take care of everything”

Koto-ku, 6:00PM, Monday.
Like the other areas of the city, it was rather cloudy, but Koto was experiencing something much more intense. Thick, pillowy black clouds hung in the air, indicating a storm that baffled the inhabitants as they had expected an overcast day.
In the northern part of Koto, one of the clouds would open up, and rain would pour down on the streets. The people below would pull out umbrellas as they attempted to continue on their day. Still, unbeknownst to them, the force of the rain continued to ramp up, causing those unlucky enough to be caught in the rain storm to be forced down by the water pressure until they were essentially being crushed under the weight. The pouring rain drowned the panic screams until…it stopped?
The rain droplets hung delicately in the air, suspended by some invisible force. Those in the area were able to move again and grew even more confused by the sudden change. The droplets of water in the air and the pools of water on the ground begin to shimmer and then shake violently before they surge towards a single point, combining into a massive humanoid mass resembling a golem made of water. Its flowing features, an enormous height of 25 feet in total, scared off the individuals who were unlucky enough to be in its vicinity.
Its head swiveled as if searching for something until it settled on due south. The sound of what could only be described as the crashing of waves emanating from it as it began to walk turned into a jog before finally becoming a full-on sprint. For those familiar with the area, it was clear it was headed toward the bay
But the real question was, why?
The Tide

- KOTO-KU NORTH - "It means fearless." Dauntless' eyes narrowed as he looked into the ominous storm clouds hanging over the ward. Normally, he liked the rain. The thunder. The lightning. He felt oddly comfortable seeing it, smelling it, being in it. Maybe it had something to do with the power behind it, interacting with his Quirk behind the scenes. Eh, who knew? But what he did know was that something was off... something not right with clouds. Maybe it was their color, their shape. It didn't seem natural. It felt, well, artificial, for some reason. Like it wasn't supposed to be there. And honestly, going by the forecast, it shouldn't have been. But the weather man had been wrong before. He held out his hand as the sky finally opened up and drops began to patter down onto him and the streets below. He looked at the people, pulling out their umbrellas and putting on their hoods as if they expected it to happen. Had he missed an updated report? As he brought up his phone screen, his eyes would widen as he saw what'd climbed to the top of the news cycle; "ELEMAMENTALIST MISSING FROM INDICTMENT!" Suddenly, his phone would be knocked from his hands by the splash of a rain drop, catching the hero off guard. " What the-" The rain began to bear its full brunt down onto him, and the entire ward it seemed, raindrops with the weight of storms falling against his body and that of others. For him there was no real concern nor difference in its effects, but for others, that were much, much less durable than he was, it was chaos. Civilians ran for shelter under building cowlings, or for that of their vehicles, only for the metal that provided the protection to begin denting as if hit with hail. As the chaos began to pick up, Dauntless began preparing himself to get active, running through a gamut of plans and reactions to help those who needed it. Then all at once it stopped.... and a new situation rose to take its place. The golem formed further up the block from him, the shouts and yells from its vicinity bring attention to it, even if somehow its towering size didn't. He couldn't tell if it was a person whose Quirk was out of control, a villain looking to make a grand appearance, or a Quirk itself. But one thing was certain in the moment. It had to be halted in it's tracks. Full stop. " And the day was going so well...", he said to himself as the water golem began moving forward, walking, then jogging, then sprinting, its weight causing rumbles within the ground. " CLEAR THE STREETS! OVERDRIVE!" He shouted, darting out from his spot and charging directly towards the golem as his Quirk activated, wisps of red energy emanating from his eyes and body as he too began to pick up more and more speeds. A lot of people talked about the immovable object versus the unstoppable force. But what would happen if two of the same kind met one another? Dauntless was keen to find out, as he took a running leap, to land an overhead smash into the golem's head. king, Arataki Noa, Sasaki Sento, Fuyuko

Tokyo was the furthest you could get from his stomping grounds, Shinjuku or Koto-ku were even more remarkably further than where you could expect to see him normally. But today was anything but normal, he had taken a river that he was unfamiliar with to the ocean, not realizing that it had taken him to the ocean. Flustered and a little lost the massive sea dragon quirker ended up finding himself in the realm of the city.
But unlike the many years ago where he was constantly berated, attacked or beaten people here seemed to just look at him in a quizzical sort of way. Generally wanting to keep their distance from an understandably large individual such as himself there were more people hurrying away from him than… Well Snapping pictures or honking horns. A few folks in larger cars would have to wait for him to move to one side.
Understandably king was a little more muted, a little more quiet and a bit more prone to looking for wherever the forest was. Not being able to really get a bead on it the mutant let out a sigh. He just wanted to go home and away from all the noise, all the smell of… city. To his knowledge there were places he could ask for directions; but that was buried deep beneath the hatred of the city and he had no idea what those places looked like.
Letting out a soft grumble the behemoth of a mutant started to wander in one picked direction that would be something he’d likely reflect on later as a bad idea. The first thing that he realized was an issue was that of the sudden weight and heavy rain that poured from the sky. While it was causing people to scream or run for cover he just sort of stood there baffled by the sudden downpour; huffing to himself he’d hurry into the best cover an alley could provide, given it was an awful fit for someone of his nature he’d get to see the reason for the sudden downpour.
An even bigger creature made out of water. He’d blink slowly; trying to figure out why exactly this was here. It looked even more out of place as he was. Maybe it was friendly? Maybe it could talk? Maybe this was it’s turf? He doubted that. The city wasn’t a place for monsters.
Then what came next was something that he realized was… Probably a hero. Definitely a hero with the way that they commanded the situation. Shouting for people to clear the streets and immediately attacking the water monster. He’d flick his ears a few times from his cramped spot in the alley.
Wait.
Heroes helped people. Often they’d attack problem makers. But they often helped those that made themselves helpful. If he helped the heroes would they help him get back to where he was trying to go? Or would they attack him entirely? A moment of reflection and king made his decision.
Help out the hero in exchange for directions. He seemed to also forget that he was probably likely going to get attacked too. Pulling himself out of the alley with a growl the towering dragon decided to charge the golem with a roar. It was probably a bad idea, probably an awful idea. But somewhere in the back of his head told him that this was the correct course of action in the middle of the city. Not having directions, being lost and being trapped with some big old golem was not on the list of things he wanted to be a part of.
So just help out and he could go home. Easy. Right?

Post by Sasaki Sento on Sept 8, 2023 14:20:02 GMT
Sasaki stared in defeat at the towering trial that laid before him. How could he have known that when he woke up today he would have to overcome such a staggering obstacle as his day went on. Yet with a determined gulp and a calming breath he took a step forward to challenge his adversary. "I'll take a number three... no mushrooms... and a milkshake?" He blurted out to the equally confused and tired fast food attendant who simply stared back at him with equal parts contempt and judgmental condemnation. "Like... Ice cream machine is broken..." The teenager with the crushed soul quipped back with a roll of her eyes. Panic overtook Sasaki as he staggered back a step, his rigorous mental preparations toppling like house of cards in the breeze. His whole order had hinged on that milkshake's flavor profile. "Ok... maybe a diet cok.."-"Soda machine broke too" the teen interrupted before clicking her tongue against her chewing gum. Crestfallen Sasaki felt the blood drain from his face. His spiral of despair was cut short by the growing queue that was forming from his awkward indecision, He needed to make a choice now... the very fate of the public peace was on the line. "Small Coffee?" he fumbled out, reading quite literally the first beverage he could off of the menu. He was met with a painful silence that seemed to stretch on for eons, when at last the moody minimum wage slave punched a key on the register and tallied his total. "That will be ¥760 sir... Can I get your name?" A grin spreading across his face in triumph, he only needed the girl to repeat herself twice before he managed to give her his name and finish paying. Taking a seat by the window, he stared out into the pouring rain as he waited for his order, the rhythmic patter of weather calming his elevated nerves. It wasn't normally like Sasaki to get this flustered, but since moving to the city he had quickly become stunned by the staggering cultural shock. Back home there was only one fast food chain in his town, an American Fried Chicken joint that offered one thing in three sizes, nothing like the scavenger hunt of a menu he had just conquered. His eyes traveled across the scenery as soaked civilians scrambled to get out of the downpour, the hammering of the drops growing a bit louder, beginning to drown out the pop music being pumped through the whole restaurant. It was almost loud enough for Sasaki to miss his order being ready. "Ebisu Garlic Royale and a small coffee for... Sausage?" A different teen in desperate need of a haircut called out. Taking a bite of his sandwich, he stepped outside only to realize there was a fair deal more screaming than he had originally been able to hear. The windows of a nearby car were beginning to crack as the liquid bullets rained down. This... wasn't normal. Wolfing down his meal he ran out into the hazardous weather, drawing out a thin disc of water from within him that spun above his head, catching the rain and absorbing it as it slowly began to grow into an absorbent liquid umbrella that did it's best to protect him from the oppressive shower. A rallying cry to clear the streets echoed out a dozen meters from Sasaki as he watched a face he recognized from campus charge into the fray to engage a giant... was that thing made of water!? Sasaki nearly lost his nerve as he witnessed a second towering figure roaring into the battle as King made his charge. "Big city never ceases to surprise me..." Swallowing his courage again he followed the others into his first real fight of his life.

Perhaps it was thanks to her affinity for water that Noa sensed the anomalies in the rain a moment earlier than everyone else. Before the pressurized rainfall could crush the people in her vicinity, she had created a sort of invisible canopy in a 30 foot radius around her that 'redirected' the rain away from the area she covered. This was simply her Quirk at work, manipulating the rainwater although people who didn't know better might have thought this was also part of the strange phenomenon. Of course she couldn't exactly save everyone, but there were more than a handful who were confused but were otherwise kept dry and unharmed thanks to her being close by.
The weird behavior of the rain was followed by even more unusual movements. Basically all the water that came from that one big cloud above their heads gathered up into a large humanoid shape that then started to head for the bay area. The entire situation was quite bizarre and aside from maybe helping people not get caught up in it, it wasn't entirely clear to Noa what action to take here. Well, she didn't need to think about it too long. It seemed two individuals were already taking the initiative against the water giant.
She decided to follow the commotion, not to fight but look after any civilians who haven't gotten away and might still be in danger. The rain had completely stopped too and she was getting an ominous feeling.

Rain graces its presence to the citizen of Koto-ku, unbeknownst to them the tragedy that is brought by the rain itself. Fuyuko is not spared to the ignorance to said development as rain is not the strangest thing one would experience especially from a hero like Fuyuko. As she unfurl her umbrella in leisure, a jolt to her brain made her aware the fact that the intensity of the rain increase in an abnormal rate and no sign of stopping. Shriek of panic starting to echo throughout the street. Fuyuko sprang in action at incredible speed; unleashing the swarm of drone from her hair ornament and order them to create a canopy right on the top of them. While it is not big enough to cover everyone, it gives a good coverage for people to dash under it and go to the nearest rooftop. Fortunately, the abnormal rain suddenly stops abruptly. As if time is being halt for the droplets, yet no sign of a person that could be the actors behind all of this yet. The droplets starts to move and pooled up on the ground followed a tremor as the pool takes form into a giant humanoid creature that is fully made out of water. Without wasting any time, Fuyuko summons three spectres and line them up high to the nearest rooftop. Everyone! Run away from the direction that being goes Fuyuko yells as she display her hero license and stares at the nearest police to take over that responsibility. Fuyuko suddenly vanish from her spot and can be seen in multiple instance near where the spectres were supposed to be one at a time and now she find herself on the top of the roof with a clear picture of everything. She summons a spectre once again and let it rise as high as possible then she shares her vision with it. Fuyuko now able to get the full picture of what is happening and a probability of what is going to happen. The direction of the water being is towards the bay. While Fuyuko can't tell on why but there is one thing that she knows and that is a collateral damage that it would bring with their movement. Fuyuko able to see that Dauntless is already on the scene trying to smash the golem's head alongside with someone that Fuyuko has no idea on who he is but she can see that they are trying to help so Fuyuko decides to turn blind eye on them for now. Fuyuko attention is now move to the other way and rush to the path area that is going to be crossed by the golem. Please run straight and not make a detour Fuyuko wishes to no one as she made an impromptu bridge with her swarms to the place and then start to conduct clearing the road up from any kind of civilian. As she goes; she needs to think a way to establish a communication link from her to Dauntless. tl;dr: After noticing that Dauntless is attacking the golem. Fuyuko decide to evacuate any civilians that is within the path of the golem. It would become clear that The Tide was simple-minded, paying no attention to any of the various people who had gathered to either save people or confront it directly. For those paying more attention, it was as if the golem was looking past them or, rather, as if it was the only thing that existed in this world. It didn't prepare itself or take any defensive position when...
SPLAT
With Demura taking the first strike, its body collapsed under the pressure and immediately compressed until it burst into a pool of water. It lay dormant for a minute or so as if the golem had never existed. However, it would begin to ripple on the surface before it rose again, resembling a torrent of water that surged forward around Demura and King much faster than before, moving in the same direction as it was in its golem form.
This resulting surge caused some of its water to break away as waves approximately 8 feet tall that rose and then fell, causing more flooding in the immediate area and putting those civilians who could not get away in danger of being washed away in the flood. The more immediate threat was the proximity to buildings, where the excess water carrying the innocents was heading.
—--------------------------------------------------------------------------- tl;dr Demura strikes the golem hard enough that it bursts, turning into a puddle. This puddle then turns into a faster wave that continues heading towards the bay, ignoring Demura and King. It forms 8 feet tall waves in the area, which catch some civilians and threaten to carry them away and smash them into buildings if not taken care of.

- LOCATION - "It means fearless." For a brief moment, Dauntless allowed himself to hope that the situation had been resolved just that easily. But experience and reality took over in sync as the mass of water that made up the invader went from inert to a devasting tide in seconds, continuing forward on its path undisturbed. It hadn't made any moves to defend itself, or even shown that it recognized the hero's presence. Or anyone's, for that matter. It made him consider more that this was possibly a Quirk at work, and not a villain. At least, not directly. All the fell to the backdrop of his mind though as he heard the renewed screams and shouts as the waves surged forward further down the street, sweeping up civilians who'd not been able to make it indoors in time, or who foolishly wanted to watch a potential brawl unfold right before them. He almost swung a second time as he turned his back to face the large dragon-like entity that'd charged up behind him, though held back due to the lack of outright hostility or aggression. " You understand me, right?" He shouted towards it over the rushing waters around them. Upon seeing the glint of sentience behind its eyes, he'd nod in affirmative. " Need you're help! You're big enough that maybe you can divert these waters off the main street! If you have something else going with your Quirk, use it!" Without wasting further time, Dauntless leapt into action, utilizing his Overdrive boosted speed and agility to pluck people that'd been swept away by the waters out of the current, and onto areas outside the reach of the waves, such as the roofs of transit buses, or into side alleys that'd been bypassed. There wasn't much he could do at the moment besides this. The situation was quickly on a downwards spiral, and he knew it'd take more than him and the Dragon to deal with this. And as if the gods were watching, they delivered a miracle. Or, at the very least, some backup. He'd land next to Kamigawa Fuyuko, depositing two civilians he'd carried under his arm and on his back down onto her bridge, giving a thankful nod towards his fellow faculty member. " Nice timing, Fuyuko-san." Matsu, Arataki Noa, Sasaki Sento, Fuyuko, kingDauntless upon seeing the reaction to his blow, guesses that maybe the Tide is a Quirk itself and not a person. He asks King, guessing from their lack of hostility that maybe they want to help, to find a way to divert the waters from progressing further down the road. Meanwhile, he acts to save civilians already caught in the currents by moving them to higher and stable ground. He then meets up with Fuyuko.

The myriad of scents around that remained after the rainfall was something he was used to from living out in the forest. It did a good job at washing away the extensive stink of the city and leaving it refreshed for him to a degree. People were rushing and panicking now that a fight was breaking loose. Were the cityfolk always so panic prone? He didn’t know. It was annoying to say the least. Some instances grabbed his attention, one after another but really the biggest contenders were the golem and the man who charged it.
King found himself skidding to a halt when Demura slammed into it and caused it to burst into a pool of water. Blinking owlishly king would cock his head to one side. Much like an oversized cat that was confused by the event in front of him. With the water surging around him king snapped and batted at the water probably not to much avail. He wasn’t a water bender or elemental controlling beast. His abilities were simple. But he definitely wasn’t fast. A flick of his ear as the hero spoke to him. Did he understand him?
”Yes.”
A simple rumble of that simple phrase. Big enough to divert the water? He was sizeable and thinking to himself for a moment the sea dragon gave a momentary shrug. He’d lumber along to try to do exactly that. Though he was definitely not fast. Maybe that was something he’d need to fuss with later. If there were any civilians that came near him, seeing that Demura was plucking them out of the water he’d mimic that action by plucking them up by the collar of shirts and setting them on his back if they drifted too close to him.
Grumbling he’d try to do what the Hero asked of him, using his big body to try to steer some of the water away from the city street. Maybe an alleyway? King wasn’t really sure if this was the wisest idea for him at least.
”Not fast. Water faster. Break Bus? Building?”
The way he spoke seemed like it was straining; like talking too much was either painful or difficult to string things along. That being said it was probably the best idea that he had in this entire month past trying some meat with berries the other day.
—--------------------- TLDR: King speaks, plucks any civilians out of the water near him, tries to use his body to direct the water away from the main street. But also makes a suggestion!

Sasaki felt his heart sink in his chest as he watched the chaos unfold. Staggered momentarily by the clashing battle, he watched as Dauntless decimated the titanic construct. A small grin crossed his face, for a brief moment he thought things had been resolved. But something was nagging at the back of his head, something was tugging and struggling against him, just under the surface of his thoughts. Looking up, Sasaki stared at the umbrella he had formed from the rain water. It kept squirming under the grip of his quirk, almost like... "Its not over..." Before he could call out to warn the others, a massive wave erupted from the aquatic gore, and began to surge in his direction... No it wasn't heading toward him, but the bay behind him. A horrible thought occurred to the young man, that if this golem creature had a similar ability to his own, reaching a body of water that size would be devastating. As his blood ran cold in fear, he watched as several individuals rallied to the defense and aid of those struggling. Wasn't this the whole reason he had left behind the boring easy safe life back home? Wasn't this why he had come to the city in the first place? Now wasn't the time for passive observation.
Sasaki lept atop a car to get a better vantage on the approaching wave. He held up both hands and shaped them into crude finger guns, before leveling them toward the surging waters. As Sasaki rapidly hammered his mental trigger, he would fire several projectiles of rapidly solidifying water into the oncoming tide. His goal wasn't to try to freeze the whole squall solid from a single point, but to spread several ice projectiles out across the wave, using the cars and structures in the road to form barriers to slow the advance. This proved far easier said than done though, as he had to be careful to target areas free of trapped civilians. There was also no guarantee his quirk would even work on this creature, but Sasaki had to at least try. That was when he observed the massive King using his body in a similar way, whatever that big guy was, Sasaki wasn't about to risk freezing him too. But as his focus was on the giant sea creature, King offered a suggestion that sparked an idea. Maybe they could combine strategies?
Shouting and waving to try to get the big guy's attention. "Whoa big fella! If you provide the bricks, I can bring the mortar" He wasn't sure how well his message would be received, or how advanced this big guy's communication skills were, but he didn't have time to break it down any further. He just had to hope his meaning got across.
Summary: Sasaki climbs on top of a car and starts peppering the wave with ice to try to slow it down and see how much effect his quirk has on living water. He tries to offer his help to King in whatever plan he has.

It didn't work. Multiple forces collided with the large aquatic construct but rather than be stopped it continued on in a different form. The irony was despite looking less like a 'monster' this new form was much more dangerous to unsuspecting civilians. She had to hurry.
Now what was perilous to ordinary people was not necessarily the same for her. There was something unusual about this water but being water meant she could possibly do something about it. She arrived at the closest point to the surging wave and then focusing real hard, she activated her Quirk on a section of the flood that was about to wash away a few civilians. If this had been ordinary water, then it would be the easiest thing to change the direction of its flow and hold it back. But if this water was being controlled by someone or something else, then she had just initiated a mental tug of war to wrest the control away from them. This would be the first time she would ever go head to head with another water based Quirk so she had no idea how this contest would turn out.
Focused on the task at hand, Noa wasn't really paying much attention to the other players in the vicinity. After seeing how the initial encounter went, she wasn't too optimistic that the heroes present had any effective means to deal with such a foe. The sooner she figured out what kind of enemy they were dealing with, the better she allocate her efforts to keep it contained.
TLDR: Noa approaches from the side of the wave and tries to manipulate as much water as she can with her Quirk and redirect it away from civilians. If the water 'resists' her control, then she will continuously pull back at it to try and gauge the power difference between them.

Numerous attempts upon blocking the raging path of the golem has been proven useless. Even the best attempt from both Dauntless and the giant dragon, they could only slow it down for a moment. Dauntless lands next to her with a relief expression painted on his face as he shoved two civilians that he saves onto her. Demura, open your communication channel Fuyuko without sparing any times swiftly makes a call to Demura and hands him a TWS so she can relay any sort of information to each other when necessary. While we can't destroy the golem from the looks of it, find a way to slow it down alongside with that giant dragon. Fuyuko shares a simple plan to Demura. I will relay more plan as we wings it as clearly time is not on our side Fuyuko nods at Dauntless as she rushes toward the crowd.
As she advanced, she noticed two students from UA trying to contribute on slowing down the waves. She felt conflicted, while they are studying to be a hero as their future - but it is not the time for them to be one yet. However, at current condition; she needs every manpower that she could gather until reinforcement come.
Think, Fuyuko... Think
A splash from the water that scatters a bit from the impact that nears her suddenly jolts her brain. This is a wave that comes from one individual, therefore it should be finite - shouldn't it? Fuyuko approaches Noa, not knowing on what she is doing at the moment, and quickly calls out to her. If I remember correctly, you are one of UA student right? Great, I need your help. Come with me to the nearest home depot; we will buy a lot of cement to absorbs this water. At best scenario, it will dried it out but at the very least it should be slowing them down Fuyuko quickly tells her about what she is going to do. While also relaying the same plan to Demura.
Go to the home depot now, I will follow you from behind. Put any tabs to UA Fuyuko order Noa as she calls out her spectres and adjust the nightmare that is produced from the Spectres before making the nearby civilian scrambles in fear upon eye contact with the spectres away from the waves path.
tl;dr: Open a direct communication with Demura, approaches Noa and orders her to buy some cements, tells Demura about her plan, clear up the path from civilians.

The Tide would continue to try and make its way toward the bay, unconcerned with those around it. That would be true if they didn't try to get in its path. The extra speed from its new form did nothing but make it more of a hassle as it was much more malleable than before, able to weave around objects whenever necessary yet remaining grounded.
It would barrel towards King, unaware that it was about to collide with him if it continued on this path at the same speed. Luckily or perhaps unluckily, there was some intervention. Sasaki's quirk effectively slowed it down as the ice formed in the wave, reducing its speed to its original golem form. Even this didn't stop The Tide, as the ice had an unexpected additional effect. While its momentum had decreased, its mass had increased with a strength boost to boot.
It would have continued on that path unimpeded with potential critical damage to King in the process, but with a last-minute assist from Noa, the tugging feeling on The Tide wasn't able to be stopped entirely; in fact, the pull was much stronger than Noa had likely anticipated. It was enough to cause The Tide's instinctual nature to go for the path of least resistance. It would reverse direction, doubling back the way it came and veering right to go back down a different city block.
It was unfortunate that groups of civilians were about to be hit with a faceful of dense icy water. —--------------------------------------------------------------------------- tl;dr Ice forms within the wave, reducing it's Speed but increasing it's Strength as a side effect. King narrowly avoids a head-on collision thanks to Noa's assistance to stop the wave. The resistance from her quirk causes it to double back the way it came to go down a different block in its attempt to head down the

- LOCATION - "It means fearless." Fuyuko was right; slowing it down was probably the best thing, maybe the only thing they could do at this point. Delaying until a more permanent solution was found. He advanced forward, rejoining the effort to save civilians caught in the wave, catching sight of the effort the Dragon and someone else were putting in to stop the Tide. After securing several more people, he'd towards both the Dragon and the other person aiding in the chaos.
"Good work delaying its momentum, you two." He said as he landed next to the pair. As the waves around them cascaded and then receded, heading backwards and through another street, Dauntless would take the opportunity to try and come up with a viable option to aid whatever Fuyuko had planned. "Alright. Big guy, you had the right idea. Let's go with it. Get some trucks and buses to provide a temporary barrier.... at worst a speed bump. No buildings though. We want to keep collateral to a minimum, got it?"
He turned towards the other hero-of-the-moment. "You.... I remember you. Orientation, right? One of ours." Nodding, having recalled the first-year hero student's face. "Keep working with that ice, if you can. As much as you can. It was pretty effective before, I think." Slamming his hand into his fist, he overheard Fuyuko's side of things. "Fuyuko-san, there might be a construction site nearby as well too, could have the material you need. We'll try to hold out as long as possible."
"I'll get the civilians out of the pathway. Let's do this!" He'd launch back into the thick of it, nabbing up civilians who lay in danger's path and moving them to safer areas using his enhanced speed.
Dauntless rendezvous with King and Sasaki, suggesting that the three of them try to delay the Tide, while Fuyuko and Noa retrieve what they need for the former's plan. He then goes about rescuing civilians that lay in immediate danger of the Tide.

This group seemed reliable in one way or another; being able to cover such a broad spectrum would have been impressive to someone that wasn’t literally just trying to do what he needed to get directions home. Ontop of a few other instances that made king less than a stellar team player but they were being forcibly pushed to one side in order to get him home faster. The communication from Sasaki was received and king slowly tilted his head to one side till his flowing mane of purple hair flopped to one side and the citizen in his mouth was dangling like a kitten until he set them back down once the water started to go the other direction.
”.....So… Building?”
Seemed like a good idea to him, though he’d glance at the few around him wondering if he could even knock them down. They looked a bit sturdy. As for the others they didn’t attack him so he didn’t really seem bothered by them. The golem had almost hit him but perhaps it was due to his focus being elsewhere that king didn’t so much as flinch by their approach.
Hearing the hero address him directly however had king slowly turn his head back down; feeling the citizens on his back scrambling to keep purchase on his back he’d slowly ease down to let them off. Watching them run away from the scene he’d exhale slowly.
”It. Bad.”
He’d rumble out and then cock his head to one side as the hero spoke. He didn’t recognize them, didn’t recognize the student. But he recognized the sort of authority people had here. Knowing that his idea was right made king feel better about the fact he couldn’t directly fuss with the being. No buildings made king frown for a moment. Busses and trucks? He’d cast about and then slowly nod.
”No. Buildings. Bus. Truck. Kid.”
He’d rumble to Sasaski and nod at some of the parked vehicles. If they could move those in the way well… Just maybe they could work together to move them as a barrier or get it into that water to slow it down somehow.
”You. Get bus. Drive bus. I. Get Truck. Move truck.”
His voice seemed strained with how much he had been talking and he actually seemed increasingly annoyed by this fact. His voice cracking and being a little more raspy than intended. He wasn’t fast but he would look to one of the trucks nearby, setting his front end on it he’d try to use it like a scooter to move it in a fashion pushing HARD with his back legs to provide a push. He’d need to get either around, through or somewhere inbetween to stop the water. Hopefully their combined weight would help stop the golem.
”...All this… for… Dir… ect… ions…”
— TLDR: Acknowledges Demura and Sasaki given their direct interaction, Agrees not to knock down buildings, starts moving a pick up truck after telling Sasaki to drive a bus.
