It worked somehow. The wyrm was distracted and it bought them a bit more time. If they were going to be more efficient, they had to pool their efforts into taking out one enemy at a time. As though to prove her line of thinking, when the old guy didn't have to worry about the wyrm hounding him, he was perfectly capable of dealing with the bird. And now that said flying menace was grounded, it was the perfect opportunity to take it out for good.
Noa had been holding back earlier since she didn't want to waste the available resources but she could stop worrying about that now. True to her namesake, it was time to make the water fall. But before it can fall, it first has to go up. She focused her water manipulation on the big pond and caused the entire thing to erupt like a geyser. The torrent of water was shooting upwards into the 'sky' and then getting everyone and everything in the surrounding area wet as though there was a moderately strong rain shower. Almost everyone anyway. With her water manipulation, there were three people there who were completely dry as though there was an invisible shield preventing the 'rain' from touching them.
"All the targets are doused old man! Just give us your biggest shock! I'll handle keeping the friendlies dry!"
The wyrm blocked the view, but the lightning man should have noticed the unusual situation that he was not getting wet by the water. Hopefully, he could put two and two together from her words.
Getting the two biggest targets wet wasn't the only reason Noa decided to go with this move. Given the characteristics of the ants freezing water that they touched, the ice created from the 'rain' pouring on their bodies should hopefully slow them down too if not freeze them in place.
TLDR: Noa causes the water in the pond to shoot up like a geyser and make it rain all over the area. Using her water manipulation, she keeps herself, Marauder, and Raiden dry. She shouts at Raiden that he is free to use his lightning in conjunction with the water as she is keeping them all safe. At the same time she is hoping that the rain slows down or freezes the ants movements when it comes in contact with them.

The series of events in the last minute or so were not all favorable. Of all the results she could have gotten from her little experiment, she didn't expect that the tiny feather was too durable for her shot of water to break. The impact of the attack causing vibrations that attracted the ants and the wyrm was also unfortunate, but at least she got more insight into how it worked. As for her temporary ally, she kept it at the back of her mind that he was open to strategies they may need to employ later.
"I don't think vibrating water will grab their attention more than those feathers. So maybe we can use those instead. Cover me!"
The feathers were hard and tough to break, but the ground they were stuck to was not. Displaying her mastery of water manipulation, she would change the shape of her water into multiple orbs that would engulf every feather within her range and then pluck them out from the ground. She would then gather up the feathers and drop them with force onto the ground some distance away from where they were before the wyrm could reach them to reproduce the same clanging sound from earlier. If the feathers worked like how she understood it, the sound should attract both the ants and wyrm away from them and give them some space. If not then hopefully Marauder can be a good bodyguard for at least a few more seconds until she could defend herself and come up with another plan. At this point, she had opened up all the water bottles in her possession so she could really use the extra water from the pond soon. If the bird creature was that tough, then it was unlikely that the water she had right now would be enough to deal with the even bigger wyrm.
TLDR: Noa asks Maurauder to guard her while she tries to divert the attention of the enemies once more. Noa uses her water manipulation to pluck out all the feathers close to them and then throw them to the ground further away to attract the wyrm and ants away from her location.

It was a bit naive of Noa to think that there were only two enemies to deal with. The bird and giant worm were obvious, but she should have paid closer attention to the mounds around the area which, in hindsight, should have clued her in that something else was lurking there under the ground. In this case, a group of giant ants emerged from the mentioned mounds that blocked the path between her and her destination. To make matters worse, apart from their size, the ants could freeze water on contact. It was far from an ideal matchup. Still, dealing with unexpected bad developments was an everyday occurrence for heroes. She didn't let the situation cloud her observations. In this case, she noticed again that the insect-like creatures seemed to respond to the feathers that the bird-like creature was throwing around. She wondered if that meant the feathers were a weak point.
To test her theory, Noa quickly opened one of the water bottles he carried and manipulated a narrow stream of water to strike and break the feather stuck on the anthill. She would then wait and see if that action caused any changes in the ants while continuing to keep her guard up. That was her original plan anyway. While waiting for the results of her little experiment, one of the people teleported to this area with her was suddenly rushing to her side of the field, bat in hand.
Was he coming to help? It didn't take long to answer that question. With a big swing, they started smacking the ants with their bat cloaked in fire. Fire? That was certainly a useful coincidence. They introduced themselves as Marauder. That was not a name that Noa knew. But she would take note of it from now on.
"You can call me Waterfall. As the name implies, water is my thing, but I need a source. These ants are in the way of the biggest source here."
She pointed at the pond she was trying to go to. If this guy could superheat things as he claimed, then maybe her goal wasn't out of reach after all. The assistance was welcome and it would make the situation easier for her.
"Thanks for the help. Sooner or later, we will have to deal with that bird directly. Do you have anything in the way of ranged attacks? If not, then maybe I can give you a boost, provided you can trust me."
She was formulating a plan of attack in her head. To deal with enemies that could fly, they needed an approach that attacked from multiple directions or an unexpected angle. But she needed to know if her temporary allies would be on board. While all this was happening, Noa was focused on avoiding getting hit by the ants while keeping an eye on the bird in case it shot more feathers in their direction.
TLDR: Noa will shoot a stream of water at the feather on the anthill to break it and see if that would affect the ants. She would respond to Marauder's introduction with her hero name and the gist of her quirk. She will then ask if he has a way to deal with the bird. While all this is happening, she is dodging and avoiding any attacks from ants that would target her while refraining from attacking them herself.

When Noa stepped out of the light of the teleporter that brought her to the new location, she only had a few moments to register that she did not exit with the same people she entered with. She didn't recognize the two others who arrived almost simultaneously as she did. Was there some mistake perhaps? She thought she had a good grasp of hero names and those participating in this raid but apparently, it was not enough. However, there was no time to protest these sudden changes to the team lineup. Even before she could they could make any introductions, they were already under attack by the entities that awaited them in that new zone.
There was a bird-like creature who could speak and seemed like it was the brains of this operation. Its partner was a giant worm-like creature that looked like it came straight out of a sci-fi novel. Noa quickly surveyed her surroundings and sighed in relief when she spotted the pond not too far away from them. Even if this wasn't the intended location she was supposed to be sent to, at least she wouldn't be useless here. While her two temporary allies headed for the woods, Noa made a beeline for the water source after the bird's initial feather attack.
Now that their group had split up into two, it was going to be a coinflip on which one the enemies would choose to attack, or it would have been. Two big tall guys, one of them even shooting blasts of lightning, versus a relatively smaller girl running in the other direction all by herself. If the enemy didn't choose to pick to try and pick her off for going solo, then she would question their decision-making. If she made it to the pond safely then that was great. But if she was attacked along the way, then she would have to defend herself. As she made her mad dash, she also unscrewed all the caps of the water containers she had on her at the moment and was ready to intercept anything that came after her.
When she finally got close to the pond, the first thing she did was to sense the volume of the water she had to work with. Ideally, she wanted enough water to engulf that huge worm. Until she figured this out, she would stand by and watch the enemies' movements for now. They would be in for a watery surprise should they choose to attack her at that time.
TLDR: Noa assumes there was a teleporter mishap as she ended up in a place with people she doesn't know. She heads for the pond while being wary of potential attacks sent her way while she is making a run for it. Once she gets to the pond, she tries to get a feel for how much water she is working with so that she can devise a proper strategy for attack.

Because she wanted to be as prepared as possible for whatever was waiting for them down there, by the time the giant water ball with Noa at the center reached the bottom of the pit, it had grown to the size of a small house from all the water she had gathered along the way. This entire time she had been focusing on growing the water ball because she was being extra cautious about running out of resources to use. At first the pit was almost pitch black. It was a big mistake to not have a light source on her besides her phone and she couldn't exactly take out her phone now. But even while her eyes couldn't make out anything, her other senses would let her know that they were definitely not alone. From the water content in their bodies, the things waiting in the darkness were about the size of large dogs. Or maybe they were tiny humanoids? Her water sense was not accurate enough to tell for sure. However when the glowing mushrooms began to sprout all around, she would soon get her answer.
It was spiders, or at least they looked like spiders. Water content in bugs and the like were very different from vertebrates and in this case, the 'creatures' in question were larger than what Noa was expecting. Even without counting their size, they weren't ordinary arachnids. They had what seemed like metallic exoskeletons, which the girl assumed meant that they were harder to squish than your typical bug. A few of them tried to shoot a web like substance at her that looked like liquid metal, but her water ball was keeping the 'web' from settling and hardening, getting dissolved and washed away as the water itself was constantly flowing around her. Well, she couldn't just hide in her water shell all day. She figured she ought to give themselves some space before the spiders completely surrounded them.
Focusing her power, Noa would shape part of her water ball into a large snake-like construct and proceed to sweep away and push back any spiders that came within her range. She would do this repeatedly until she was able to secure a 30 foot radius of 'safe space' around her for her and her allies to regroup and set up a perimeter. She was careful of course to not sweep away her fellow raid participants.
"I can hold these things back but we'll need a more permanent solution of putting them down. I'm open to suggestions!"
At the back of her head she was also considering if it was possible to drown these things. But she would probably need even more water than what she had at the moment if she wanted to get them all.
TLDR: Noa arrives at the bottom of the pit inside a giant water ball the size of a small house. She proceeds to use her water to wash away webs and sweep away and push back any spiders that approach. If anyone is close to her, she would be protecting them too.

The troublemaker's response to Noa didn't really matter. However, her attempt to get their attention was met with failure as actions spoke louder than words in the end. Those who could spare the energy to do so actually attacked the apparent villain. All that meant was that Noa didn't have to deal with the villain herself so she could focus on her main target. Speaking of which, the combination of her attacks and the ice user turned out to be very effective. After that last assault, the Tide was finally down.
At this point with the number of potential threats still active, Noa would organize her priorities based on who was in more immediate danger. The closest target was the villain from earlier. But before she could take any action, a huge explosion would rock the floor. Noa just barely put up her arms to shield her face from the shockwave. Following the explosion, the ground beneath them would begin to shift and collapse. Noa immediately gathered the water in her vicinity to form a sort of protective bubble around herself as a defensive measure and to cushion her fall down the huge pit that suddenly formed. With everything getting thrown into chaos, there was no way for her to assist the others on the floor. Hopefully, they would be able to keep themselves from getting hurt should they also fall in the hole.
It was dark and Noa had no idea what was waiting for her at the bottom. As she made her way down, she would continue to gather up as much water as she could around her so that she could better deal with whatever was down there. Honestly, the howls and screams were rather unnerving.
TLDR: Noa creates a barrier of water around herself to protect against the explosion and cushion her fall down the pit. She would continue to gather water on her way down to prepare for whatever was down there.

To be honest, Noa had never worked with any of the people in this group before, so she personally had no clue about their skills and abilities or if anyone of them could even meaningfully follow-up after her attack on the Tide. When she saw that the first teammate to come over and help out was someone with a freezing quirk, she couldn't help but sigh in relief. The last time she faced this golem they also had an ice user on their side who proved pretty effective against the elemental. Barring any surprises, they should be able to settle this pretty quickly.
Of course the Tide wasn't the only threat. Someone else had shown up throwing explosives rather haphazardly at the rock golem. Noa didn't recognize them either but more helping hands were welcome. They were gonna make it out of this mess just fine. Or at least that's what she thought. She was oblivious to the doppelgangers giving the other people in this floor a hard time.
To ensure that her stripping down of the Tide was effective, Noa was keeping a close eye on the movements of water in the area. After all, if the water elemental simply sucked up the water again then her efforts would be useless. Apart from the ice user freezing the water she pulled away from the golem, she could also sense that the water on the floor itself was slowly but surely being drained in the direction of a large mushroom on the other side of the battlefield. That must be someone else's quirk at work too.
It eventually reached a point where the mass of the Tide became small enough that Noa felt her water manipulation would have no trouble moving them around directly if she pushed herself just a bit. There was no hard hitter here to smash the water golem into a million droplets so she would have to take care of that bit herself.
Focusing her power, she would use her water control to launch the Tide up into the air, with the goal of smashing it against the ceiling. If it somehow managed to maintain its form even after that impact, then part two of Noa's attack was to send it back crashing down to the ground, this time with her own force aided by gravity.
It was only after this that Noa noticed Rui move close to them, saying something outrageous about killing their friends. Their friends? Noa didn't know anyone in this team but she resisted the urge to mention that detail. Of course, she didn't recognize this person either. She had heard in the briefing that villains might show up here but were they actually a villain or just some troublemaker? Noa was still a little out of breath after that big attack so it would be bad if they suddenly attacked.
"This isn't the time or place to be playing games! But if you really can't help it, then it's more fun to pick on someone who can actually put up a fight right?"
As far as taunts go, Noa could have probably done better. But if she could keep the villain's attention from anyone who wasn't in good shape, then even keeping them occupied for a few seconds was not the worst effort she could make.
TLDR: Noa is too focused on her target to notice the other enemies in the room but acknowledges those helping her. Once enough water is stripped away from the Tide, Noa attempts to use water manipulation to slam it up into the ceiling and then crash it back down to the ground with the goal of breaking its body apart with force. Noa notices Rui nearby and attempts to keep their attention on her.

As a 'veteran' of getting caught up in incidents in the last year, Noa appreciated the fact that despite this raid being one of the biggest incidents yet, this time she was actually participating voluntarily in an organized effort. Basically, people were more prepared. And there were a lot of pros and teachers on the scene. There was no need for a mere student to overextend or bite off more than they could chew. She simply needed to focus on what she could do. At the moment, she was a reserve. With such a specialized quirk, it was more prudent to wait to send her in until they had obtained more information on what they were up against. At the back of her head, if she never ended up getting deployed at all then that was good news. Imagine her surprise when, not only did she get called up to get ready to move out, the reason she was heading in was the sudden appearance of a familiar figure. Rather than the inside of a building, the location she was sent to looked more like it was taken over by nature. A quick glance around you could definitely tell a battle was taking place here. Unfortunately because of the changes in the environment, Noa was warped a bit of a ways off from where the main group was fighting. But being away from the others was fine cause that meant she could try flanking the enemy and maybe catching them off guard. Speaking of the enemy, there amongst the 'monsters' was the familiar figure of the Tide that gave her a lot of trouble a few months ago. Time to see if she had made any improvement at all. As this was more of an official operation Noa was actually suited up for the first time in a long while. "Waterfall incoming!"She locked on to her target and proceeded to employ the strategy that helped win them the fight last time: draining away the golem's water. Rather than exert her water manipulation on the entire thing, she focused on the surface level, stripping away the water layer by layer to decrease the golem's mass and make it easier for an attack from another hero to disperse and scatter the construct. If there was no one capable of doing that, then Noa would at least try to keep it at bay by pulling against it. TLDR: Noa arrives to help! Targets the Tide golem by attempting to drain away their water and make them smaller and easier to take out with another attack. If no one else attacks it, then Noa will simply try to hold it in place with water manipulation as best as she can.

It was certainly an emergency, so if someone using their quirk unlicensed could end up saving lives then she wasn't going to complain about it. Those were basically Noa's thoughts as the captain explained their escape plan while making their way to the deck. When they got there however, they couldn't immediately just come out. It seemed the attacker of the ship was already being fended off by someone else. Noa recognized them as fellow passengers. One was a student and the other was a hero? She wasn't sure about the latter, but from what little she could observe, he seemed to be a skilled and experienced fighter.
She didn't know how long they were waiting there but the moment the tide of the battle turned in favor of the heroes, the captain gave the signal to come out. The captain's quirk was almost literally creating lifeboats, but because they didn't have any oars, Noa would be in charge of actually moving their small fleet. She would help with lowering people down to the lifeboats, especially those who were injured during the attack. And then once everyone was safely on board she would fulfill her role of directing all the boats to the island with her quirk. Fortunately the distance to the island wasn't that great. At the pace they were going, they would arrive in just a few minutes.
Although most of her focus was on getting the boats to safety, she couldn't help but divert part of her attention to the people who were fighting earlier and their attacker who was now bound and captured. It wasn't over until they were all back on land so she had to remain vigilant.

Noa's rescue efforts were turning out a lot better than she expected. Aside from securing the crew from getting further injuries, she managed to rouse a few of them too including the captain. Not everyone was lucky however and remained unconscious. Perhaps they were more injured than the others. There was no choice but to carry them. The captain seemed like they were keen on just abandoning ship to save the people on board. She wasn't going to argue against that. The seafarer new best. The information from the new arrival though would make evacuating very difficult.
"I'm Noa, a hero student. I can't make any promises on what I can and cannot do, but if you have any ideas captain then I'll do my best to support you."
Even Noa could sense it. The beating that the boat was getting meant it was starting to take on water somewhere. It wasn't going to last forever. But this dire situation also worked in her favor, cause now her dependency on a having a water source for her quirk was no longer going to be an issue. With a slight wave of her hand, she gathered up a large amount of water that had been leaking into the boat and used it to cradle any still knocked out crew members, ready to transport them above deck.
"I'm ready to go anytime. Fill me in on our evacuation plan on our way up!"
Moving a big boat with her quirk was more than doable but it was going to be pretty draining to her stamina. If they had several smaller lifeboats however, that would be much more manageable and less tiring. Not to mention it would be far quicker if they plan to put some distance between them and their attacker as much and as fast as possible.
TLDR: Noa uses the water entering the ship to gather up everyone still unconscious and transport them to the deck as the captain requested while waiting for further instructions on how they would go about the evacuation.

It seemed her Quirk was pretty effective against the unknown enemy. In fact it might have been too effective. This was probably the first time in her life that Noa had seen water disintegrate something on contact. Since regular insects didn't behave that way, she could only conclude even the physical form of the bugs themselves were created by another Quirk. Whoever they were, they weren't just taking control of real insects to do their bidding. At the same time the thing's movements were pretty clumsy. Th degree of autonomy offered by the enemy Quirk wasn't too great either. These were some useful bits of information to keep in mind.
With the immediate threat taken cared of, Noa's next course of action was to check on the status of the crew members unconscious in the room. If there were any injuries to patch up or if she could somehow wake them up with basic first aid techniques, that was what she would attempt to do. She was just about to examine the closest body next to her when suddenly the ferry shook violently, likely from a big impact outside. She grabbed on to the nearest railing to keep herself from falling over. Meanwhile with her free hand, she manipulated her water to wrap around all of the unconscious crew and secure them in place before they were thrown around by the shaking and possibly injured further.
Once the shaking had stopped, Noa would proceed with her initial plan of checking on the crew members and attempting to wake them up. CPR or a splash of water on the face. She would try whatever she could.
TLDR: Noa makes a mental note that the enemy Quirk seems to be weak against water. Grabs on to a railing while the boat was shaking to keep herself from falling over while also securing the bodies of civilians with her water. Once the shaking stops, she looks over the condition of the crew if they have any injuries and then attempts to perform first aid, CPR, etc. on the unconscious crew to patch them up or try and wake any of them up.

She was in such a rush that she had spoken out the words before getting a good view of the situation she had found. People who looked like they were members of the crew were knocked out. Meanwhile the one 'person' standing in the room wasn't even human. Was this a quirk? In response to the mass of insects lunging at her, 2 of the water bottles she keeps on her belt bag, flew out to intercept the target, smacking into the thing's 'arms' like pressurized projectiles. While this was happening, Noa had reached for her 3rd bottle and popped open the cap to let the contents out.
"What are you...?"
It was a rhetorical question. Going by the situation, it was probably responsible for knocking the crew mates out and whatever was keeping the boat stalled. Typically when she had too much missing information, Noa's course of action was to retreat and observe further until she got a better picture. But in front of her were knocked out civilians, and behind her were even more civilians. Backing off was not an option here.
With her water released from its containers, Noa would manipulate it into whip-like strands to strike the humanoid mass of insects repeatedly. She made sure to pay close attention if she was actually killing them or shaving away at their numbers. Depending on how effective her attacks were, she would figure out her next steps.
TLDR: Noa would fend off the attempt to grab her with water bottles controlled by her quirk. She would then proceed to attack the insect human several times with whips of water.

In all honesty, Noa never meant to take this particular ferry ride. She originally intended to get a ticket for the day schedule, but due to a mix up in the ticketing office, she ended up getting a ticket for the night boat. Because of the late discovery of the mix up, she was left with options of taking it anyway or canceling the trip altogether. She decided to just push through as finding free time on another day was not going to be easy for her.
She did notice that there weren't many people aboard when she got to the ferry. In a way that was good luck since she hated crowds. But that stroke of luck wouldn't last very long. Right as they neared the island that was their destination, the ferry seemingly experienced some kind of engine failure. She was inside when the attack occurred so she hadn't realized yet that a villain was threatening to sink them. Instead her first priority was to head to the bridge to inquire about the status of the engine and how soon they could get it moving again.
"Is the Captain around? What seems to be the problem with the engine? Sounds like there's commotion out there so the sooner we can go the better. I happen to be a UA Student so if there's anything I can do to help, let me know."
She would direct her query to the first deckhand she could find. It would be the last resort but if they needed her to move the boat for them, she would.

Noa woke up in an unfamiliar environment. From what she could tell, she was on an emergency bed in a tent set up outdoors. There was no one nearby at the moment or at least not anyone conscious. There were still a few other beds with occupants fast asleep. There was also the odd empty bed or so every few rows that would tell her that she wasn't the first to wake either.
She sat up feeling oddly refreshed. The first thing she did was stare at the pitcher of water close by and caused its contents to start swirling subtly. That was great. She had her actual Quirk back. Thoughts of the 'dream' she just had still lingered in her mind. All of those events being a dream explained the weird stuff that happened to them. Speaking of 'them' it seemed neither of the two she traveled with were in that tent with her. That was a huge relief.
Honestly she was still expecting some sort of twist at the last moment. But it seemed their eccentric dream master really did just end the dream just like that, with positive messages. None of which were particularly useful to her. If she wanted some positive reinforcement she would just talk to the school counselor.
Sighing she stood up and went to look for the person in charge. She felt fine but they would probably want to give her a check up before letting her go. The sooner she got the standard procedures out of the way, the sooner she could go home.
