Considering the 'failure rate' of Clap Traps earlier, Noa didn't exactly have high hopes for the bubble gum that, according to the manual, was even lower tiered. In fact each step she took as she made her way up on the bubbles made, she was half expecting that she would meet an untimely fall. Surprisingly, the fall didn't come. At least not until she was just a step away from the villain. Fate was playing a cruel trick on her there but she had a second or two to react. Since the villain seemed more interested in taunting her than actually striking back, she saw this as an invitation to attack him first.

"How about a gift before I go?"

Just as the bubble beneath her feet burst, she immediately took out 5 Clap Traps and threw them at the villain who was fairly close at this point. She figured that would do something to disrupt whatever he was doing. Then as she was falling, she would attempt to blow another below her to catch herself before she hit the ground. At this time Noa was still unaware that one of the other girls was trying to help her. Hopefully the new bubble won't blow up in their faces.

TLDR: Noa throws 5 Clap Traps at once at the villain as the bubble she stepped on pops. She blows a new bubble while falling not realizing Momo was attempting to catch her until after she blew it.

Round 4.

Both speakers were broken with ease thanks to Momo and Freja's efforts, one drained of its power while the other was melted under the searing heat. They even went out of their way to save their cohorts, whether intentionally (Momo) or unintentionally (Freja). The civilians who weren't stuck in the ditch Emilia had made stopped running towards the students, looking around confused instead. They seemed to be free from the villain's hold.

Evidently, said villain was not pleased, noticing his music was not nearly as loud as he wanted it to be. He teetered at the edge to yell down at his enemies. "You dare stop the Brainrock's music?! So long as I'm still playing, we're still rocking! And it's about time I bring in a special guest."

But before he could speak further however, several hands were thrown his way, and his eyes grew wide behind his sunglasses. "What the?!" They exploded at the same time, trapping the rocker in a forcefield as cheers emanated all around him. He pounded his fist against the barrier, his words now muted thanks to it. Probably nothing but expletives thrown Noa's way.

The following bubble she blew would successfully form, catching the student before she hit the ground. Unfortunately, it meant that in Momo's attempt at catching her fall, she would launch herself towards the bubble instead, trapping herself inside it.

With the rocker's words cut off, the special guest came in without introduction. It started as a ball with several lights descending from the sky as if it were a floating disco ball. Unlike a disco ball however was the legs it sprouted once it was closer to the ground, each landing on the floor with a resounding thud.



Rock paved the way to a strange set of techno that came from the massive robot itself, and it began to stomp around. Each time it brought its foot down a set of tiles broke, cutting out their elemental power. While it meant there were less hazards to deal with, it also meant the lights were shutting off bit by bit, bringing the area to darkness over time save for the eerie glow of their new adversary.

Its movements were random, seemingly dancing to its own music. If it happened to hover a foot above some screaming civilians or the students that were stuck before bringing it down, it was just a coincidence.

Somehow she was breathing fire, but it wasn't hurting her to the extend she had feared. Maybe this was what it was like to have a quirk? Watching the speaker melt she felt a great sense of accomplishment well up inside her. Leave it to Sumi to make a flawless gear that would help turn the fight around in their favor. Looking over to see Momo successfully taking care of the other speaker too she cheered, leaving her completely defenseless to what came next. Maybe her takeaway for this arena was that she needed to learn to watch her surroundings?

''E-Emi?!'' If she ever watched the footage of arena 4 back, she was definitely fast-forwarding through the part where her and her roomie went flying onto a purple tile. ''Ooow..'' She groaned, trying to get her bearings, but she couldn't even lift her head to look around them. ''Are you okay? I think this tile makes us heavier.'' Even speaking was straining on her, but to be honest at this point she was hurting in so many places that she hardly had time to focus on it. Then, a brief light of hope when Noa managed to trap the Rocker. She wasn't sure what exactly it was, some kind of gear, but it was impressive nonetheless! ''Great job! We won.. We've won, right?'' He was bringing in a special guest? As in, a teacher was going to show up and congratulate them, right? Looking up, that light of hope she had felt when Noa captured the villain had manifested and taken physical form as a giant ball... Wait- why was it growing legs?

When the music started up and the thing began stomping everywhere she went into full panic mode. ''W-Wait a minute, wait!!'' She was yelling, fighting back tears. Why of all times was her and Emi caught on a purple tile now? UAU was definitely trying to kill all of them here today. ''Emi, Emi!! Here!'' She fought against the gravity with all her strength to roll a few Firestarter berries towards Emilia. ''Eat them, they're safe! They cure nausea.''

They didn't, but Freja had convinced herself they did.

''I'll get you out of here before that thing flattens us, just stay right there!'' She looked down at her Rollback watch? How long had she been stuck on this tile? With the stomping disco hell descending on them she had totally lost track of time. Might as well roll it back far and try her luck!

TL;DR: Freja gets thrown onto the purple tile with Emilia, panics when the special guest appears and decides to offer Emilia some of her Firestarter berries, promising her they will cure her nausea. Then, she activates her Rollback watch once again to try and teleport back to a time before she landed on the purple tile, in the hopes that she can help save Emi before the disco ball steps on her.

THE RED GIRL

If Momo had been able to use both arms to maneuver her flight path, there was a small chance she would have been able to avoid being caught inside the bubble at the last second. Said chance would have also required Momo to have the awareness and brain cells needed to realize what was happening, which she didn’t, but she was going to blame her locked-into-place arm instead. And since reality didn’t care about ifs, Momo found herself stuck in the bubble like a fly on a fly-strip.

“HEY,” she called out, trying to be heard above the din below. “LET ME OUT SO I CAN HELP!” Her face was smushed against the side of the bubble so that she could get a better look at what was going on to see just how she could help if and when she got free. Considering the rampaging disco ball trying to squish her team stuck to the dance floor, Momo probably wouldn’t have been any more helpful even if she wasn’t captured by her other classmate.

“YOU GUYS HAVE TO GET UP!”

And Momo needed to get out.

For Emi, the room was still spinning as she tried to get her bearings. It took a few seconds longer than she would have liked with the familiar voice of Freja finally snapping her back to reality “W-What happened?” she said, still disoriented as she tried to lift her head only for it to snap back from the force of gravity and hit the tile with a loud THUD.[break][break] “Ow ow ow…” She wasn’t used to things hurting her as much as they did in this arena; it was like she was back to before enrolled. Still tougher than most but not nearly as “survive getting full-on crushed by a giant golem” tough. “I’ll be okay. Are you good?” she wasn’t able to move freely but if she pushed herself, she was able to make some slow, gradual movement upwards. From the angle she was in she was able to also see Noa catch the rocker, and Emi sighed a breath of relief, relaxing into the tile a bit as she believed at that moment that the exercise was over. [break][break] Then she heard the special guest and when she looked up she couldn’t help but let out an audible groan as the disco ball descended and gained legs and stomped around aimlessly as if stomping to the beat. [break][break] “There is no WAY I’m getting stomped on again!” it wasn’t too long ago that she was in the same position as the Hambatler in the bubble, mainly a broken arm and not the poor fashion sense, but still. She would muster up all her strength in an attempt to free both herself and drag Freja to safety, but her roommate had other plans. If these berries really did cure nausea, then perhaps it would give her the extra boost she needed to get them out of there safely. [break][break] She would roll over onto her side and grab all the berries at once, shoving them into her mouth. It wasn’t, but a moment later that she was able to breathe fire like a dragon, however because of her sideways position, all this resulted in was her becoming a small rocket with the momentum pushing her from the purple tile, and once she was free she tumbled for a moment before stopping. [break][break] Someone somewhere had it out for her. A shriek of pain, and Emi was on her feet, jumping back and forth as if someone had set her mouth on fire. Whatever was in those berries it did NOT cure nausea in fact, it felt like someone shoved a bunch of spicy peppers in her mouth. When the pain finally got more manageable she’d approach Freja, who had also managed to free herself from the tile and with watery eyes and a runny nose, she’d remark, “Those berries need some work, but we don’t have time for that we gotta free that other girl from that bubble!” she’d open her inventory and selected the Javelin would which materialize in her hand and in a flash it would create an identical copy in her other hand. She would pass one to Freja to throw and then create another for herself and would continue to do so for the duo until one of them managed to hit the bubble and free Momo. [break][break] tl;dr Emi is trapped on the purple tile. She takes Frejas offer for the firestarter berries and eats them which the resulting fire breath pushes her off the tile, but the drawback is activated. Once she's able to recover a bit, she reunites with Freja and activates her 'Javelin of Duplicity' sharing it with Freja and throwing them at the bubble to free Momo.

It was a bit of good luck and bad luck. On one hand, she successfully trapped the villain and stopped herself from falling to the ground from a height that would have been somewhat painful. On the other hand, it looks like one of the other girls was trying to help Noa and she didn't realize it. The result was that they were trapped in the bubble that Noa made to save herself.

"Sorry about that! Wait let me try to get you out."

That was easier said than done. The bubblegum didn't actually come with instructions on how to pop them safely if she wanted to release someone from it. Unfortunately while they made it safely back down, there was yet another new development on the floor. Some kind of robot had been deployed amidst the confusion and was threatening to stomp them. Perhaps staying inside the bubble was safer in this situation? Before she could speak again however, a javelin suddenly flew past her aiming to pop the bubble. That was great. That was one thing less that Noa had to worry about.

It was starting to get pretty chaotic but it was clear that the new robot was something they needed to stop too. Noa figured it was a good time to try the last item in her possession. She pressed the button to activate the camouflage suit. If it worked as intended, she would use it to sneak around behind the robot to try and look for a possible weakness. If the suit failed, well she would have to practice her dodging skills and avoid getting stepped on. At this time she didn't figure out yet that the disco ball robot was moving according to the music.

TLDR: Apologize for trapping Momo in the bubble. Tries to think of how to break her out, but in the end didn't need to thanks to the javelin being thrown. Tries activating MirageVeil. If it works, she will attempt to sneak behind the robot to look for a weak spot.

Round 5.

Freja's watch and Emilia's lended berries would remove themselves from the purple tile just in time to dodge an oncoming foot from the drone. Unfortunately, both the side effects of their items would trigger, with Freja's nausea coming back and Emilia feeling like she'd eaten the hottest pepper known to man.

Seeing an ally trapped though, they braved through the sickness and were able to pop Momo out of her confinement and onto one of the robot's legs as it continued to stomp around. It took a while to hone their aim though, and in doing so, several javelins began to pile up around them. More than they could ever need given the situation.

Noa's attempt at stealth would not prove fruitful either. Her suit would heat up to uncomfortable levels before it shorted out, rendering herself visible again. In her investigation however - and Momo will possibly notice it too due to her close proximity - the legs of the robot had several exposed wires and pistons that moved as it walked.

Said movement would go faster as it reached the fast part of its song, and it sped up its stomping to keep to the beat. A flash could be seen on the stage as well before a figure jumped from it and landed on the robot's "head". He was revealed to be Brainrot himself, with his guitar in shambles. It didn't take much to realize how he escaped. "Alright, that's it, you're all gonna pay for that!" And so he started singing.

Except it was monumentally worse than before, since he couldn't hear himself thanks to the claptraps deafening him. While he was no longer controlling civilians with it, his voice still provided a boom that would push anyone back should they be hit by it.

Rollback Drawback: User may get severe motion sickness after warping.

Javelin of Duplicity Drawback: The duplication will occasionally go into overdrive and keep multiplying to the point where it will bury the user under a pile of javelins.

MirageVeil V1 Drawback: The heat sinks and insulation haven’t been properly adjusted yet. While active, there is a chance that the hologram projectors generate a lot of heat, becoming almost hot enough to burn the user until after 10 seconds of use the battery pack catches on fire and the device deactivates temporarily.

''You were spinning all over the place.. I think I broke a bone.'' Boy was it not going to be fun dealing with the pain after her adrenaline wore off once this whole thing was over. ''I'm okay, I was a little sea sick but I feel better now.'' Good enough to use her Rollback watch so she could save Emi. In the blink of an eye she vanished and reappeared in a new place, free from the purple tile. ''I did it!'' She was about to turn towards Emi to help her when she noticed the bubble. ''Is that Momo?'' Then her vision started getting all funny.

Oh no...

As nausea took her, Freja fell to her knees and doubled over, hastily pulling her hair out of the way as her breakfast came back up again. While she was dealing with the side effects from the watch Satan himself had crafted she witnessed Emilia go flying. That wasn't from the berries, right? She was totally fine, right? ''E-Emi.'' She stood back up with some effort, still feeling incredibly nauseous. ''You're okay.'' The berries had worked! Eh, well, sorta. ''Y-Yeah she's in trouble.'' She looked at the javelin, wobbling as she tried to take a throwing stance. ''Should've given me the bat..'' She muttered as she proceeded to miss the bubble with a dozen throws before Emi popped it. Looking further ahead she spotted Noa. Was their teammate about to use a cool new piece of gear that could turn things in their favor?

...Didn't look like it.

Someone really had it out for them today. Was every arena group like this, or were they deliberately messing with group 4 for the giggles? Her thoughts were cut short when the villain started singing again, forcing her to cover her ears to be free from the tone deaf nightmare. ''Emi, everyone!! I-If you can hear me!'' Hopefully they could, as she shouted as loud as she possibly could to try and break through the music. ''You're stronger than me, I'll give you an opening!'' She took the pouch of fire berries and downed the rest of the content. She didn't count how many there was, but she made sure to swallow until it was empty. With Emilia as her inspiration, she was going to try and distract the villain by rocket blasting herself up towards him. Sound be damned, booms be damned, she was going to push through all of it, or fail trying!

TL;DR: Freja is hit hard with the nausea, tries to help Emi pop the bubble but can't seem to get a good throw in, still salty she didn't get a bat item. In a last ditch effort to stop the villain and the robot she eats all her Firestarter berries to try and trigger the drawback so she can rocket blast herself like Emi did, to get to where the villain is. Firestarter equipment activated!

Freeing Momo was a great success! Emi was still reeling a bit from the spicy taste in her mouth, sweat dripping down her forehead as she tried to recover. When Freja went down briefly Emi immediately went to assist trying to help her up the best she can. If Freja could see her face it was thoroughly painted with frustration. Was this all she was ever going to be? a liability who needed others to save her? It seemed like every time she got involved in one of these big events that she ended up unintentionally hurting someone else. First, she accidentally hit where Hawthorne was, and now Freja was dealing with at least a fracture. She didn't have time to mope any further as the javelin began to duplicate, covering her fully as it brought her to the ground. [break][break] "Freja wait those ar-" her voice would be muffled by the javelins that formed a pile over her body so she couldn't warn Freja that the berries caused her burning pain she was still dealing with the side effects of. [break][break] Eventually she was able to shake off the pile of javelins now covering her ears from how loud the combination of the stomping along with the singing was. Even still she did hear Freja's rallying call and couldn't agree more! Not about her being weaker than the others but about making an opening it was the least she could do to support the group! She would charge forward materializing her drills again and would leap at one of the legs of the stomping disco ball looking thing and activate them. Even if she ended up spinning out of control if she would knock the thing off its balance it would make it easier for the other girls to finish the job![break][break] tl;dr Emi is buried by javelins but tries to warn Freja of the side effects of the Firestarters. She rallies behind Freja activating her Drill Dozers as she charges at the spider thing to drill through one of its unoccupied legs.

“My Hero!”

Was Momo talking to Noa or Emilia or Freja? Who knew! All that mattered was freedom was on the horizon. Unfortunately, so was a big angry robot and without the luck from her Quirk to negate reality, Momo found herself glued to its leg when the bubble chose to pop. “Ewww! Why’s it gotta be so sticky?!” Momo flailed against the goo, but being one arm down meant she was sealed in place.

Then again, it also meant she was, you know, sealed in place.

Said place being on the legs. Where there just so happened to be exposed conduits for electricity. She stretched her free (and not broken) arm out toward the wires and pistons, activating the glove on it once more as she did so with the clearly necessary, “Go-go-gadget gloves!”

Notes & Tags: Sol Freja Helt Emilia Hall Arataki Noa | TL;DR Momo is stuck to the robot leg. She activates the right side palm pulser to try and drain energy from the robot via the expose wires on the leg she is on, which is opposite of the one Emilia is targeting.

As always Noa wasn't expecting the gadget to be working without issues when she activated it, but she didn't think they would be deliberately dangerous. The suit started to overheat, to the point that she was tempted to take it off right then and there, cause it was literally on fire. But this was a bodysuit and stripping down to her underwear on a stage watched by god knows how many people was a mental scar she was not looking forward to bearing so she decided to tough it out. She would employ the good old stop, drop and roll to put out the fire and otherwise just endured the heat from the malfunctioning gadget.

At this point, Noa deemed that the so called invisibility suit was useless. She wondered why it was even ranked the best among the equipment she was given. Looking up she saw that everyone was working together to target the robot's legs to bring it down so she decided to help out in that endeavor. The rock star villain was back again and making things extra difficult so she figured she would aim for him again to support the team. She didn't forget that the main goal was actually to stop the villain so the robot was just a huge distraction.

Seeing as it was effective before, she would bring out the clap traps again. While everyone was distracting the robot, she would once more try to get behind it and then throw five clap traps at the villain above.

TLDR: Noa would put out the fire on her suit by rolling on the floor. After getting up she will attempt to get behind the robot again and throw 5 clap traps at the villain from his blind spot.

Freja would not only rocket herself up to the man on top, but she'd outright crash into him, pushing him off the robot and on to the floor. No burning sensation in the mouth necessary.

Momo's luck was unfortunately not with her this time. Instead of sucking up the robot's electricity, air was blown out of her gloves, propelling herself out of the sticky mess she was in and off the automaton entirely. Though depending on how one looked at the situation, maybe she was lucky after all. Because she would be out of harm's way when Emilia's drill shredded one of the spider's legs to ribbons, causing the metal being to collapse on the ground. No spinning herself this time.

Noa's aim was true as she tossed the claptraps towards the group's main target, encasing the villain inside. Unfortunately, Freja was with him, so she was trapped in the deployed barrier as well. Several loud cheers and whistles would sound within the bubble and Brainrock, unaffected due to the earlier assault to his ears rendering his hearing lost, would try to land a sucker punch on his fellow trapped buddy. Said hearing loss however made him unaware to what was going on outside.

Despite being toppled, the robot spider was still stomping its remaining legs in place. One of them just so happened to be positioned above the claptrap forcefield, repeatedly bringing its foot down on it. It held up fine against the first couple stomps, but by the third, cracks began to form against the hard light. It was obvious what would happen if it broke through.

Palm Pulsers Drawback: The absorption might work in reverse, overloading the source if there is already energy stored in the gloves, or it just blows out air instead.

While her plan to launch herself was successful, she hadn't at all accounted for her own safety. First she slammed into the villain, then the floor alongside him, landing on one of her arms. Broken? Probably. She expected as much, not that she had any time to worry about that considering she was still nauseous and she felt like the smallest tremor would be enough to make her hurl. In the chaos it didn't escape her that the berries hadn't burned her once again. Was Sumi secretly looking out for her? Maybe she-

LOUD, LOUD, CHEERS AND WHISTLES.

''What is going on?!'' She exclaimed, unable to hear her own voice as she covered her ears and immediately ate a sucker punch from the villain that only made her more dazed. It took her a moment to realize she had been trapped in the barrier with him, but once she did she kicked weakly against his shins, too exhausted to put up much more of a fight, but she would still try to shout over the claptraps. ''IF I HAD MY BAT, IF I HAD A BAT YOU WOULD'VE BEEN F--KED!!'' No longer able to hold back her anger and frustrations, she was content to make this guy's last couple minutes in this barrier a living hell as her teammates handled the dancing spider bot. ''What's with the colored tiles you sadist we could've died!'' She wasn't going to stop kicking or slapping at him until someone announced the test was over. ''Is this fun to you? Here!'' She took off her Rollback watch and waved it at him angrily. ''Put this on and see how fun it is!!''

Momo flew off the robot’s leg, unaware of her teammates' individual struggles and actions considering her own predicament. Given how massive the robot was and how small and beaten up (thanks Jun) Momo already was, it was clearly time for Plan B! Momo poked at the life vest she wore even as she hurtled toward the ground. “Go-go-gadget vest!” It had worked with the gloves (once), so it had to work on the vest too.

Right?

Come on! Do something!

Sort of.

Momo had never really been exactly sure what the vest was supposed to do, but it did something and that something actually happened to be very helpful here. The vest expanded and expanded and expanded. Until Momo looked like a very weirdly colored marshmallow and definitely not an inflated version of the Hamburglar.

She hit the ground on her back with a thud and an "Owwwwww," as her broken arm bounced on collision, but the inflated contraption was so thick at this point that it absorbed most of the impact. Unfortunately, between being temporarily rotund and having a broken arm that was currently locked straight by a baseball bat turned splint, Momo could do little but roll around helplessly. At least she hadn’t landed on a death square or in the path of the robot… though she was slowly beginning to roll in that direction with all of her flailing.

“I can’t get up!”
