Sunday. Toshiyuki wasn't the biggest fan of Sundays, it was often times far too boring and peaceful for his tastes, the weekends in general were the bane of his existence since most of his classmates were off staring at paint dry or whatever it was that those people did on their off times, leaving him with much less people to lavish him with attention and praise. Two such people were Keibo and Shinto, the former was more of a rivalry than a friendship with the two butting heads over the smallest things, mostly about who was taller and try as she might, he still had that inch over her but with how often he lorded it over the smaller girl, it might as well been a full foot. Shinto on the other hand was a more simple and easier man to understand, he wore his heart on his sleeves and was as friendly and charismatic as Toshiyuki could portray himself to be, the only problem came when it was a matter of pride, often times mistakenly calling himself the strongest of the trio and while he was physically stronger, Toshiyuki was quite clearly the strongest of the three despite being younger and coming from a less privilege household than the two rich kids, a feat he wore as a badge of honour.
For all their many, many, many flaws, they were still two of the closest friends he had managed to snag for himself, Shinto was a calculated choice on his end, Shinto was easily the biggest and physically strongest kid growing up and while the man probably could've used that strength to become a bully, he had instead became a relatively popular kid so it really was just a two for one deal when it came time to befriend the man, Toshiyuki could climb the social ladder due to the connections of being friends with Shinto while also ensuring the bigger kid didn't decide to turn his sights onto him. Keibo on the other hand however was one that been initiated by the shorter girl of all things, she had taken it upon herself to begin to challenge herself against the bigger Shinto and with the two of them being friendly and welcoming they had just sort of absorbed her into the friend group, it didn't hurt that Keibo was both rich and had a relatively famous parent.
Nowadays, the trio had grown closer and continued to push each other, the other two were prideful but manageable and it helped Toshiyuki focus on improving himself as well, lest the other two catch up and even the gap between them. It was a welcome surprise that the two would invite him to live with them in some fancy high end joint down in Tokyo, the penthouse apartment was close enough to U.A. that they could walk if needed and had more than enough room for the three to live comfortably, Keibo had paid for most of the things with Shinto taking care of other needs while Toshiyuki could only chip in a modest sum every now and then, his family wasn't exactly as rich as the other two but he had his own job, a small end job that probably could've gotten him a nice cube in some run down building if he was lucky.
"I'm bored...." Toshiyuki would drawl as he idly watched the clouds floating on by from the comfort his chair out on the balcony, the warm sunny day leaving him in a simple shorts and button up white shirt that had the top two buttons undone to reveal some of his toned chest sticking out, a choice he made to both keep himself cooled from the summer heat but also to maintain his attractive appearance. He may not have been sexually or romantically attracted to the two of them and he doubted either of them were to him, Toshiyuki preferred to look his best at all times, it was a matter of principle, he'd be damned if someone were to find him looking like a slob, he was always dressed to impress.

If Keibo were honest with herself, she had originally found the idea of being a great hero something akin to being in the Olympics or winning the lottery. They were achievements or accomplishments that one could get in reality, but the odds were not in her favor, especially when it was apparent that she had inherited her mother's quirk. It wasn't strong will or determination that pushed Keibo to ask her father all those years ago about hero training. No, it was childish ignorance: she just didn't realize how hard and difficult it was for someone to achieve the goal that she had claimed to desire. Of course, the training led Keibo to believe that it wasn't some far away goal but something truly attainable which led her to fully embracing the goal and even attending one of the most famous hero universities in the world.
To that end, Keibo had surrounded herself with Toshiyuki and Shinto; two of her classmates with a similar drive to succeed in the heroing world. Her father, realizing that rivals people who push you forward are paramount to success, went so far as getting an absurdly nice place for the three of them to live as they began their second year at the university. First year students, per the university's rules, were not supposed to live off campus. While Keibo may have initially thought of her roommates as rivals, she sees them more as friends now. Shinto just seems like a ray of sunlight, never seeming to have a negative emotion, which was endless fuel for Keibo's own brand of dark humor. Toshiyuki was a different story; he almost seemed to require the praise of others to believe himself worth anything. Keibo had no idea why their height was so important to the man, but she just ignored his remarks about her height. She felt like their eyes were generally at the same height, but he treated her like a little girl.
"I'm bored...." came Toshiyuki's voice from the balcony around the corner of the one she was using. Keibo was doing pushups and had been for the better part of the morning. Her quirk allowed her to push her muscles without seemingly ever getting tired. The more she worked out the more capable of a hero she would become.
"Have you "manually" tended to yourself yet today? That could be a good use of 20 or 30 seconds." Keibo grinned at her own remark as she pushed herself back up from the ground of her balcony. The cool air and light breeze did feel nice out here.

Shinto Takeda had always wanted to be a hero from an extremely young age, even though neither of his parents had been heroes themselves. They were both respected in their fields, his mother was an impressive surgeon while his father was her personal nurse. His family had always been supportive of his goals, his older siblings encouraging him as the first in the family to aspire to become a hero for the people while his younger siblings tended to idolize him for it. His path set him on a course in life that he would forever be grateful for, because not only did he get to benefit from a caring family but he had made his own family along the way! Of course, it hadn't started out that way. When he was much younger, there had been another boy that had approached him with the idea to become friends and there was no way he was going to turn him down! Finding out that Toshi-kun was driven to do better in life than what he came from, to get his name in flashing lights, was something that Shinto always admired about the man. Sometimes he wished he could be more like his friend, wanting more for himself in life but how can you beat the satisfaction of helping others? Toshi-kun is like another brother to Shinto, someone that the large man could confide in and always count on for company on a rainy day. The same could be said about Keibo, a young spitfire who kept the blonde-haired man on his toes. Her ambition and drive is something that Shinto only hopes he can replicate in his daily life. The dedication to her training, constantly challenging him to spars and reminding him that strength isn't everything. She was his angsty sister who didn't let the trials of the world stop her! With such positive influences in his life, it was hard for the man not to always be positive!
The day for Shinto had started a little bit later, having taken a day to finally sleep in and give his body a rest. That rest, however, didn't last long once he had woken up. Keibo's family had done most of the heavy lifting when it came to taking care of their penthouse apartment fees, which meant that he had to do something to show that he appreciated that fact. This usually took form in doing most of the cooking and cleaning, though he turned this into a challenge for himself. The tan man would time himself on how quickly, and effiently, he could perform these chores. Already the home had been clean in just under two hours, the kitchen being the last focus as the man had began to cook food. Chopping veggies, seasoning meats, cleaning the rice, and all the beautiful things to make a delicious lunch for the three of them. As the curry came to settle, the house being filled with an intoxicating aroma, the man would pour three tall glasses of freshly squeezed lemonade. Carrying them onto the tray, Shinto would move into the other room just as Kei-chan made her comment to Toshi-kun that caused a small chuckle to be stifled, "That is definitely one way to increase your stamina."
Shinto stood as the tallest in the trio easily, currently wearing a pair of black training gi on his lower body with a pink apron over his chiseled upper body that read 'World's Biggest Brother' on it, which had been a gag gift from his younger siblings that he wore proudly. His blonde hair was held back by a tied bandana to match. Casually would he walk over to Keibo as she worked out, "Take a second, just because your quirk lets you push yourself doesn't mean you shouldn't take a break." As he offered this piece of advice, it would also come with an offer of lemonade to her. If she did not stop, he would instead place it on a table nearby for when she would be ready for it. After that he would slide over to the balcony before giving a teasing whistle, "Hot damn Toshi-kun, looking good as always." Shinto would then perform the same action of offering a drink to Toshi, or placing it nearby for later. With only one drink left, one way or another, he would move to take the last one into his hand while tucking the tray under arm. In a single go nearly half the glass of lemonade would be gone, followed by a loud sigh of relief, "What an amazing day so far!"

Toshiyuki could only roll his eyes at Keibo's comment, the catty little thing always had some witty remark at the ready despite appearing to be such a reserved and isolated person, it at least broke up the monotony from the Sunday afternoon. "Sorry baby doll, you'll have to take me on a dinner and a movie first if you're trying to watch." He'd shoot back as he continued to lounge from the comfort of his chair, not really paying much attention to the girl as she worked out. Her working out even into the afternoon wasn't a surprise in the slightest, the girl's quirk was pretty useful in that regard although he didn't think he would trade his own if it was possible, regenerating energy was all well and good, hell it would probably make for some good PR to go heal everyone, apparently her mother had a similar quirk if he recalled correctly and that alone allowed her to rise into her fame, but it simply wasn't flashy enough. Everyone thanks a healer, but nobody points at a healer and goes "I wanna be them!", no, it's always the ones with a more combat focused quirk that got the attention, something like Shinto's quirk was better suited, nothing caught the eye of the people like a man throwing a bus like one would throw a snowball.
Of course, none of that compared to his own quirk, bull fighting had became popular for a reason, training to dodge and weave between danger, close call after close call and wearing someone down, humiliating them as you slowly crushed their will to continue the battle, now that was something Toshiyuki could truly enjoy. "Now this is how you treat a gentleman, thank you Shinto. Keibo, you should take lessons from him." Toshiyuki spoke as he took the freshly squeezed lemonade, taking a small refreshing sip with a content sigh, the fact that the big man was wearing that ridiculous thing he called an apron wasn't too surprising, he personally wouldn't be caught dead in something that atrocious but Shinto was not a man who seemed to care too much about the thoughts of others and Toshiyuki doubted anyone would dare comment on the taller man's choice of attire. Far too friendly for anyone to want to bully him and nobody wanted to find out how it felt to be struck with a bus or whatever large object was nearby the big man.
"Smells like someone's been hard at work. Curry?" Toshiyuki would comment as he smelled the familiar scent of curry wafting through the apartment and seeping into the balcony, the man was an excellent cook and generally the one who took care of the apartment, something that Toshiyuki could appreciate, not having to cook or clean often was something he was already used to and honestly he'd probably hire a maid or something to tend to his house whenever he moved out, he just needed to hit the big leagues first.

Keibo's push ups had transformed to push ups done while performing a handstand. She'd been focusing on calisthenics lately and trying to develop her body's strength. She had already become one of the quickest second years, but having sparred with Shinto so often, Keibo had realized how useful strength could be. The fastest person in the world couldn't lift a car off a kid to save them and if her value as a hero was her ability to push her physicality to humanity's limits, that meant she needed to become stronger than she was. Over time, it had been working. While she used to be unable to do pull ups, she could now do over a hundred and she'd been able to begin doing these handstand push ups as well. Compared to Shinto, her strength was severely lacking, but her body was still a work in process.
Thinking of Shinto as she lowered herself so her nose almost touched the balcony, he came out with a tray and lemonade. Even in the hardest part of her workout, she chuckled seeing him in the apron his siblings had gotten him. She pushed herself back up, her feet going towards the sky. Once her arms were fully extended, she bent in half, returning her feet to the ground and standing upright. The fact that a man who could likely take the whole building down with a single punch wore a pink apron while cooking and cleaning for her and Toshiyuki was still mind boggling to her. He was going to be an amazing hero when (or if) he finished school, so much so that cooking and cleaning were menial skills that were far below him. She'd told him on more than a dozen occasions that he didn't have to do all the housework, but he seemed to relish in being busy and helping out, so she'd stopped saying it.
"Take a second, just because your quirk lets you push yourself doesn't mean you shouldn't take a break." Shinto told her as she stopped forward, taking the offered glass of lemonade. It wasn't the first time she'd had people tell her to take it easy and slow down, but she had a pretty good grasp on what her body and quirk could handle. It was subtle, but she could tell when her quirk was slowing down and "running out of steam", so to speak. She never pushed herself past that point.
"Thanks," she told him, sipping the lemonade. She knew him well enough at this point to know that he was just trying to be helpful and take care of her. That was who Shinto was: a helpful caretaker. She rolled her eyes as Shinto complimented Toshiyuki on his appearance. It wasn't that Toshiyuki was unattractive, but he certainly didn't need people telling him that he was attractive because he was already certain that he was the most attractive person to have ever walked the planet. Shinto's comment was like pouring gasoline onto the Sun itself...
"Sorry baby doll, you'll have to take me on a dinner and a movie first if you're trying to watch." Keibo's eyes, almost as if on a swivel, rolled again at her roommate's retort. She didn't bother with a verbal response, knowing it would just devolve into meaningless arguments. She had better things to do than argue with Toshiyuki, after all. Sipping her lemonade, Shinto also gave Tohsiyuki the glass that had been prepared for him. "Now this is how you treat a gentleman, thank you Shinto. Keibo, you should take lessons from him."
"Oh, of course, Mr. Miracle, sir." Keibo's sardonic remark brought a grin to her face as she made her way over to them. "I just need to find a gentleman to practice on," she finished as she sat down, adding the punchline.
"Smells like someone's been hard at work. Curry?" Keibo couldn't deny the heavenly aromas coming from inside and she was amazed at how well Shinto could cook. She had little experience in the kitchen, though she had been known to utilize the microwave from time to time. She took another sip of her lemonade as she sidled up next to Shinto.
"Does smell lovely, big guy. Looking forward to lunch."
