That was exactly what she was intending on doing. She didn't become a villain to sit around and plan out great schemes, or make deals in the shadows or any of that boring nonsense. Revenge on the society that wronged you? CRINGE! She became a villain because that was what they called people like her. Those guys at Koi might claim that there was some kind of defect with her way of thinking, but as far as she was aware it was everyone else that was wrong, not her.

Boring stupid villains sat around and talked about plans, talked about hurting the heroes, the vigilantes, the people. Real villains? Villains like her? They knew how to hurt people and didn't hold back, or let some other person order them around. As evidenced by the woman she was chasing down. She was much older than Rui, a mother with kids, or so she claimed through her sobbing and begging. Rui didn't hear any of it. All she could wonder was how a person could bleed so much, or want to keep running from the inevitable, despite knowing that they would eventually succumb to their fate.

Everyone dies, why was this person fighting so hard to stay alive?

She felt a pang of something... Pain in her stomach? She had been hurt before, she had felt weak just like this woman. A deafening gunshot brought her back to her senses. She had managed to chase this woman to the back of the store and no one had seen a thing.

''Why are you doing this? Please spare me! M-My son, my son needs me!'' The woman cried like she was feeling something Rui couldn't. She was already bloody, but the wounds weren't fatal. Rui knew since she had done this more times than she could count. She knew how to hurt people so that they didn't die right away. With a shrug she looked down at what the woman was clutching in her arms.

Ylva wanted a game system. It was the only reason she decided to go out during Black Friday, the world's worst holiday. People going around buying things and causing trouble, hell there were people who died just to get a good deal on a TV. With the winter coming soon, Ylva didn't plan on going home for the first time, especially not after the Sports Festival; that was a whole other can of worms. [break][break]

So, she embraced the cold fall air with a light jacket and went to the local outlets. The intention was to use some of her savings to buy an Entendoh Shift. The newest handheld device by the long-standing company had been around for over a hundred years. The timing of this new console worked out perfectly for Ylva's new approach to life. Perhaps it was fate or chance, but this put her in the right area as The Mummy. Making her way towards the screams, she came upon the scene of Rui harassing an older woman who was begging for her life. Putting a hand up, she would create a vacuum ice wall between the two of them and speak up, "I'd suggest you take this opportunity to go home." She was technically talking to both of them but it would have much different meanings to each of the individuals. [break][break]

Dumbfounded by the ice wall Rui slapped it, realizing that she had seen this thing before. The woman, still crying got up and disappeared from the scene. ''You again!'' Rui frowned when she spotted Ylva. ''What is your deal? Are you with the anti-fun police? Maybe stop stalking me, you creep!'' She slashed at the wall with her knife, but didn't even make a cut in it. ''Can't even go around killing people in peace anymore. You know I didn't want that Dream World thing either! You think it's fun having your quirks swapped around? You don't know what I've been through!'' She pointed the knife at Ylva, as if she was trying to accuse her of committing a crime by stopping her crime. ''You don't get it, you never will.'' She pouted, slumping her shoulders and head, only lifting it once she got an idea. ''But if I kill you, you'll understand.'' She stared back at Ylva, unblinking. ''I'll kill you, how about it? I can bring you back right after. Pretty sweet deal, right, bestie?'' She grinned, plucking a small box of Playgo off of one of the shelves, tossing it in Ylva's general direction while she ducked behind another shelf, intending to circle around and flank Ylva.

Had she been more stealthy it might have succeeded, but someone like Rui still had all the subtlety of a slap to the face, tearing stuff off the aisle shelves as she raised her knife and charged at Ylva. ''Just one kill! I'll only kill you once!''

"I'm tired. Tired of seeing you, I just came to purchase some things." She would watch the civilian take off and once she was safe she would turn her focus to Rui. As she prattled on about Dream World, it wasn't surprising that she had her own experience during the chaos. As a villain, she had less sympathy for her than others, which meant she was basically in the negatives as Ylva didn't feel sympathy for anyone. "I don't care." She would say flatly, keeping an eye on Rui's movements since she didn't have any blood to track her with. [break][break]

Luckily, she didn't have to, as Rui was quick but about as subtle as a bull in a china shop. Ylva turned to follow her as she made her way through the shop, side-stepping the Playgo. If Rui didn't learn her lesson last time Ylva figured the same technique would work twice as she froze the area around Rui's feet, turning them into ice blocks. "I have no plans to die anytime soon."[break][break]

''Then stop stalking me! If you weren't following me around everywhere we wouldn't bump into each other! You know I thought I had you hero students figured all out, but none of them are as creepy as you!'' At first the ice girl Rui had just assumed to be a one-off skirmish had now become this creepy student that was presumably following her around, but not trying to arrest her? It was confusing but most of all it was a pain in the neck considering her quirk countered Rui's. If only she could get close. If she got close once and hurt her that was how she was going to win. Not through power, skill or strategy, but sheer attrition. ''It's your job to care, loser!'' She retorted before she kicked into gear.

While Rui wasn't much stronger than last time, she had gotten a lot faster and trained her parkour, vaulting from one small aisle to the next to avoid having her feet frozen as she continued her advance. ''Yeah no one plans to die, idiot! Just stand still and let it happen!'' Hoping to get close enough to harm Ylva, she took a swing with her knife as she tried to cut her across the arm. She had no idea how the girl's quirk worked other than the fact that she could create ice, so she wasn't targeting any part of her in particular. This was a war of attrition and she was going to win.

"It's not my job to do anything." She answered back, ignoring the rest of Rui's taunting. She was clearly immature and a little bit crazy so there was no shot she would actually listen to anything Ylva said. In most cases this might be a problem, but Ylva didn't like to talk more than she had to and especially not to villains. Once she had her proper hero license, it would be her job to arrest someone like her.[break][break]

Rui was indeed faster than before as Ylva's previous attack from their last encounter missed. Just as Rui had increased her skills so had Ylva; the scar she received during Dream World ached as she was reminded about what she lacked during that encounter. She would coat her arm with ice from her quirk, letting the knife scrape off just the excess, which gave her a new target. She aimed for the knife Rui was holding, coating it in ice stemming from the initial bit, and would creep the rest of it slowly towards her arm. [break][break]

''So you're a NEET then!'' She retorted. She hated how nothing seemed to bother Ylva. What would it take for her to get the girl to cry, to fear her, to do anything but have that dumb look on her face? ''Now, DIE!!'' Her knife started to frost over and before she knew it, it started spreading to her arm. ''Not this again!'' She shook her arm, but rather than try to break her knife arm free she overextended and tried to scratch Ylva across the neck. The only problem was if she hit, it exposed a major flaw in Rui's quirk. She couldn't hurt people without a weapon, as the residual healing of her quirk, even while it was passively healing herself was so strong that it outdid any damage she could inflict with her own body. Whether she hit or not she ducked and backed away behind another aisle. ''Has anyone ever told you that you're a BAD bestie!'' She grumbled as she slowly tried to break her arm free by bashing it against a nearby wall. Her hammering shook a box down in front of her. ''I was looking for this!'' She exclaimed upon seeing that there was a blender inside, fishing out the blade to throw at Ylva's head once she ran back into her peripheral. It wasn't a very well-aimed throw, but it was better than nothing.

Ducking down behind cover again she called out. ''If I had a gun, you'd be DEAD right now, super mega DEAD!'' Life wasn't fair. Why wasn't it easier to get access to guns? Heroes were oppressing her and honestly, sometimes it felt like she was the only villain who wanted to make a difference. Just then, she heard police sirens approach from outside. Maybe it was about time she started to think about making her escape.

"You talk too much." Which was absolutely true. She was like the inverse of Andy, but they were cut from the same cloth. If there was a higher power or multiple ones, she was sure a particular one had made both Rui and Andy from the same ingredients. She would continue to creep up the chill making sure the knife was frozen to Rui's hand and when the retaliation came she used a larger snap freeze to turn the area around the knife into a frozen orb, which allowed her to block it with her own hand and give a strong shove to put some distance between them. The sounds of sirens drew closer which meant that their confrontation was coming to an end.[break][break]

The flying blade from the blender didn't come as much of a surprise, but Rui admitting she didn't have a weapon stronger than the knife that Ylva had already neutered was laughable. Well, would be laughable if Ylva had a sense of humor. It was more stupid than anything else. "We're done here." She had learned a lot from her past exercises, forming another ice barrier around her similar to the one she used in HRS to deflect the blade. If she couldn't hit Rui from below then she'd try the air, forming pockets of ice similar to what she used during MAWS she would let the sheets rain down in the area, as she was protected from her own saturation attack in her ice shell.[break][break]

''You're just a hater!'' Ylva Riis number one hater. It didn't matter if you were the coolest student in the school named Masao Ando or the coolest villain ever named Rui Matsui. Ylva was the type of person who woke up extra early in the morning just to have more time to hate. ''I hope you enjoy being alive, because you won't for much longer!'' She looked up just in time to see sheets of ice forming over her. ''Ow!'' She cried as one hit her and she took off skittering, running like a rat trying to find the perfect hiding spot. It was safe to assume she hadn't killed Ylva with the blender blade. False advertizing, what a shoddy product!

She could hear footsteps outside as the police ran up to the building, causing her to take off running towards the nearest door that led to the back, disappearing out into the alleyways of Tokyo once she got away from Ylva and her stupid dumb dumb ice powers. Maybe next time she should bring a flamethrower to assassinate her, or ask Retsu to manufacture a nuclear bomb for her. She would do that, right? They were besties after all. ''I'll be back, bestie! If not you, I'll kill one of your friends! How about that?'' She cackled from the alleyway, only to give away her own location as police rounded the corner with their guns drawn. ''There she is!'' One of them called out.

''Shit!'' She exclaimed before taking off running, unraveling her bandages and using her parkour to get herself out of a night in a jail cell.

"You've said that already." Rui did indeed say that the last time they met, and the time before that, and the time before that. She was persistent that was for sure, but largely ineffective. To be fair she had improved and Ylva could acknowledge that, she hadn't figured out Ylva's powers that was for sure, but she had gotten a bit faster. Before it was like she was fighting a cartoon, but there were some closer calls this time. If she hadn't learned to use her ice more defensively then Rui probably would have taken a chunk out of her arm.[break][break]

The onslaught, however, would continue as Ylva didn't let up, raining down ice shards from above. She didn't have to worry about collateral damage or accidentally killing Rui which was cathartic in its own way. UAU, at times, felt too fragile, and she had to be more mindful (not that anyone would believe that) not seriously hurt someone. Doing so risked another expulsion but here she was justified in her actions. [break][break]



The doors to the building swung open, and some police raised their guns; when they didn't have sight of Rui, some went around the back, and Ylva would stop her attack to let them through, dropping the ice shield in the process. She would immediately pull out her student I.D and raise another hand to make sure they didn't view her as a threat "Ylva Riis, Second Year at UAU. She went that way." she would point to the door that had swung open during her assault and then went through the process of being submitted for questioning. Andy was sure to give her some dumbass speech, but maybe next time she'd just have her come with. Her two biggest annoyances would kill each other which was a win win in her book. [break][break]
