Kenta is like 75% silly with some seriousness creeping around. May change as hero life kicks him in the face

He listened intently as Farrin spoke about his group in the exams. Sounded like some pretty cool guys who knew how to use their quirks well. His own group had some impressive performers as well, not to mention the teacher they were pitted against. Manipulating metal, light, his friend could bend freaking time…and he had his gel. Sure he could make a lot of it…though sometimes he couldn’t help but wonder how well it would put up with more directly powerful quirks. He already did know he needed to be careful with how hot or cold it got…

After Farrin shared his experiences it seemed his friend managed to feel out the bit of doubt clouding over his head. He scratched the back of his head saying “Yeah, yeah, I don’t mean to be gloomy, just… this is a big deal. Hero Prep school is one thing, But this is University now…United Alliance, the place everyone dreams of getting into! I guess I just want to be sure the fact I got in isn’t wanted…but I’m sure you’re going to make sure I don’t slack right?” he finished with a grin. Over knowing the foreign man he learned Farrin is driven to a fault. And in a way it was inspiring to see him push himself…even though sometimes he needed to be reigned in just a little bit. After a moment Kenta added “So, If I remember right my room is like… 4-5th floor? Should have it written down…I hope” he ended with a bit of a sheepish laugh, fishing out his phone to see if he actually noted which room he was in.

Farrin

Well, things have been lively before he got here apparently. Looked like the party was going to be good. He saw Freja apparently being the shot caller for the moment… though he could also see she was taking as much as she was giving. He gladly took the glass offered while Saying “Hey, Freja good to see you…maybe you want to sit…and she’s up“ he paused as the giant of a man he met some time ago picked her up. He laughed and called out “Kampai!” before downing the shot.

As the booze went through his veins he saw Zenkai pick up someone else…a pretty small guy…calling him a rat. He went wide-eyed as he called out “Zen, no that’s a guy…Zen don’t…fuck you did it…” he narrated as he chucked the person. Kenta quickly moved to the edge of the ship to try and see where the guy was gonna land “Maybe I can reach him with me…SHIT!” he exclaimed, as something wheezed past him. Perhaps one day he will be able to finish a sentence here dangit!

Luckily it seemed the speeding bullet that wheezed past him was a person, and one that flew fast enough to catch the one that was going through an unwanted fastball special. Well maybe now he could have a chance to talk with some friends. Right after the girl that apparently organized the whole deal said to her…why was the boat rocking harder now?

Apparently, it was because an EVEN LARGER BOAT popped from under the water. And that was the main stage of the party. And a scavenger hunt apparently. He rubbed his temple a bit as the number appeared on his hand saying “Man, I am not drunk enough for this…ok where’s my…crew” he looked around for the rest of his team, only to see mostly unfamiliar faces. One of them was chucked by a guy who he was familiar with.

Awkward potential conversations aside, new friends! After a moment he stepped up to the trio, who seemed to be already familiar with each other saying “Yo! Names Kenta, and I’m definitely not the host of tonight but I can get us some drinks! Nice to meet you all…you two ok? Nice save there, and the landing was pretty clutch at that high of a speed!” he said with a grin, turning first towards Shion, than Kupo and finally Jack as he introduced himself. Team 11 assembled letsgooo.

He choose a good moment to pivot around cause he could see he was losing her. Or at least weirding her out…one probably not to far of from the other. Probably not the best first impression to start trying to trick her and then come clean with it. But it did seem to work right now.
She offered him the information, and didn’t even want anything in return “Aaa, thankyouthankyou” he said, bowing up and down a few times in a mostly exaggerated fashion, chuckling a bit as he thanked her. As she started talking he did quiet up to not interrupt her, strengthening himself. SO Leonid gave the opening speech, which had to be cool. Maybe there would be some recording of it later… he needed some way to make sure he didn’t get caught skipping out on it.

As she mentioned the part with students asking questions and one talking about sparring, he blinked a few times as the proverbial light bulb went of in his head before he said “Hmm, Lemme guess, a guy that looks like an exchange student, tall with messy brown hair, talks kind of like this…erm more like…nope, I won't get the accent right” he said with chuckling afterward. If he was guessing right that it was Farrin that brought the topic up, he imagined she’d get the idea of who he was talking about.

Afterward, he’d cross his arms behind his head saying “huh…I was almost expecting that there would be more organizational stuff…you know, introducing teachers, class schedules, or something. But I guess that’ll be for us on the website or something…Soo, watcha doing now? Can I treat you to a drink or snack? I don’t want to get all this info completely for free you know” he added, a lot more relaxed now. Seemingly he avoided instant doom from missing a school function, so now he could get to know a fellow student better.

Muruyama Kenta as a spectator please

Kenta had some expectations about college, many fueled by the serious talks from teachers and his parents and just the general info you get about a school as prestigious as UAU, but there were also a lot of movies and other shows giving him some less…lofty expectations. After all, people needed to loosen up, and he was already pretty loose for someone who grew up in a small Japan village. He was imagining some kind of get-together party to get some of the people in their year acquainted a bit. In his head it was more like some of the house parties he was at in prep school, people huddled up in a rented room passing cans and stuff to each other, or maybe something a bit fancier, maybe like getting a table at a pub. Being on a car towards a yacht for a party wasn’t something he quite expected.

Guess it made sense some of the students were loaded… guess he figured someone with the cash would be more reserved showing it off. Then again what else would you need to do with it? Kenta was pretty eager to go from the get-go, and surprisingly Farrin seemed pretty into it as well, though it may have been the location. He did like the water quite a bit. Funnily enough in the end he was so eager he ran ahead of him, with Kenta riding in late. Eventually, he got out of the car, waving a quick thanks to the driver as he adjusted the collar of his Shirt. Took him a while to decide on the get up but this seemed pretty decent. Didn’t seem quite warm enough for short pants.
As he got on the yacht, he noticed…another yacht parked next to them. With people apparently jumping on. So now there were tow rich students with yachts throwing parties? Were they going to get naval combat? It did seem like a lively party already, though a lot of unfamiliar faces. Which wasn’t bad he just needed to get in the mood a bit…the good ole StrongZ he drank before the car got him was a good warm-up.

After a moment he did spot a familiar face…well, figure. Probably someone a bit hard to miss really, he thought with a smile on his face. He was amongst a big group of people, so good way to get to meet other people. As he got closer he noticed another familiar face, the girl that helped him out on the first day “Hey Zen, need any more people for the shots” he called out to the tall student with a smile before saying “Yo Zen, Freja…didn’t think you two would be drinking buddies…Oh, Hi erm…crap, we didn’t meet yet…and I guess I didn’t meet with most of you yet…Names Kenta!” he exclaimed, at first in response to the fox-eared girl that was one of the members of the rival yacht crew apparently, before simply adding his own introduction. Probably not as smooth as he’d like but he tried.
