Mark looked over, giving her an odd look as she explained her family history. Things for him were strange, but never that strange. At least, if you compared him to the average person (what was normal, anyways?). "Cases. Like, spirit detective, solving murders after the victim dead, psychic type'a cases?" He didn't give much credence to those that did such things (especially knowing one growing up), but this did present a rare opportunity to learn how exactly that type of stuff worked. Sure, this girl had a workshop, but he was overlooking the Private Eye aspect of her business. He had to pause though, thinking back to his old press. "I still got it, yeah. Been trying to piece the thing back together. Still functions, just not very well. Would be useful to have once I go home." He paused as he plinked another casing in the bucket. "Well, whatever home is." It was subtle, but he let out a sigh as he knew what his personal goal was...and what the end of it might entail. "Anyways, let's get a little soap going." He reached into the bag and pulled out the detergent, putting a nice layer over the casings. "We just wanna get that layer of grime off of them so we have a clean surface to work with. We'll need to do another, more thorough round of inspections on them, but this is to make sure there's no minor defects. A little deformation should be fine since we can bend the casing back."Tabitha Yamamura

The offer was, to be frank, enticing. As time went on older guns were more and more becoming hard to find, and replacement parts even more so. Having a spare lever on hand would be... "Let's focus on the task at hand," he says, tapping on the box. "Go ahead and load 'er up. Should be relatively simple, lead tip goes in first. It's double action, so that means you don't have to pull the hammer back for each trigger pull." All things considered, Lone Wolf wasn't going to look over her shoulder. While he was cautious and protective over the revolver he wasn't going to watch her every move. At least, not until she finished loading. Picking the Carry up, he held it in one hand and turned to better show Marlene the proper technique. "Alright, you want to hold the gun in your dominant hand. Forget what you've seen on TV, there's three different ways to hold a gun: the proper way, the badass way, and then the dumbass way. I'm going to show you proper first as it is the best in terms of safety and stability." He paused, thinking of the best way to go about this. In the end continuing with his dominant hand would be best. "So you want to keep your feet shoulder-width apart, and keep yourself at a slight angle to your target. Gun in dominant hand, other hand reaching over to hold onto the gun like so." His left hand came up to cover the fingers on his right, aiding in the stability of the gun. "This allows you to get a good sight picture, as well as reduce recoil and maintain accuracy."Marlene Lovechild

A smile broke across the cowboy's face as he moved his body to avoid the incoming knives, one getting dangerously close to him and being forced to bring an arm up to deflect it. Thankfully, he managed to catch it against the flat and not the point, sending it off to the side, though not before the edge bit into is jacket and leaving a nice mark underneath. It was a good thing that this was a throwaway coat. "I'm glad to hear that you're not completely stupid," he says, letting the magazine fall out of his pistol before slamming in a fresh one, sending the slide forward. "Also glad that you're capable of admitting your talents. You got a good arm, but in a war of attrition like this the punk with a gun will always have more ways to hurt you than you him." It would be hear that Mark would change tactics, and instead of aiming center mass he'd start to aim lower, intending to pelt Elijah's legs and force him off balance so he couldn't accurately throw. "Now, is your quirk useless because in a situation like this it'd be useless? Or you just blowing smoke up my ass and looking to do things the hard way?" Mark personally didn't care. The paint rounds, surprisingly, had a shelf life, and if he didn't use them all up it was possible they could go bad. If Elijah kept this up, he'd be decked head to toe in welts and a neon substance that would take a while to wash out; however, if he did what Mark was expecting, and he instead dove headfirst into the ground like a land shark, it'd put him on the defensive. Based on Elijah's track record...it was gonna be the former. Elijah

Mark looked at her hand as she enlarged herself again, debating the merits of taking the offer over walking down himself. Do I take the offer from the massive pretty lady, or do I not let anyone hold the door for me?
In the end, his own ego won out. "Technically, I didn't train for any of this." He began to make his way to the fire escape, starting to make his way down. "I just like guns, and my talents helped me solve cases. That's about the extent of my abilities. Only reason why I showed up here was I was close."
He did let out a sigh, shaking his head as he made it down another level. "Parked car is worse, for sure. If only because that could cause a lot more collateral damage. As for the bitch I took out, I'll only get involved if asked. I don't like letting people think I have a quirk, and those that do should know I don't like using it."
After a bit he made it to the ground, dusting his hands off. "I also don't like mixing work and pleasure. Makes things awkward when there's a job to do." He looked at his watch, letting out a hum. "This was a nice distraction, but I've got a class to run like, ten minutes ago. I've also gotta get a new cup of coffee, and take care of my ammo situation, so as long as you don't squish anyone I'll leave this in your very capable hands." And like that he began to walk away.

Well, she wasn't shouting and screaming at him, so there was some level of professionalism there. Good. She even set him down, how lady-like! Once he shook himself out (apparently being carried and at high speeds like that was not his style) he held up another magazine, this time full stun rounds as he set it in and set the slide forward. "I'm not exactly used to situations like this. Paint's a special blend, nearly impossible to wash off and gives off a slight glow under UV light. Tried trackers once, they either break apart before they leave the barrel to shatter on impact. Not to mention they take up space in a magazine when I might need something different."
He looked over at her, shrugging. "So long as they don't ditch it, we should be able to find them. They seem pretty amateur, 'specially if some guy with a gun can spook 'em like that. If they had their wits about them they could have done some real damage." He moved over to the edge of the building, looking the way they came. "Safe this way, anyways. The six shooter's for life or death, and the tires would have been the only feasible target. I miss, I could hit an unintended target. Even if I hit, the amount of collateral would've been devastating." He made a mental note of the potholes, shaking his head. "Anyways, this high profile stuff ain't for me. I'm gonna find a way down and get another cup of coffee. I'll consider the offer." A pause. "Both offers. Don't get me wrong, I'd rock your world, but not sure you're my type." He started to walk off, reaching up to wipe more of the blood off his lip. Guess I should do something about this, too.

Seeing as the civilians were being evac'd by the other hero he would stop and sheath the knife, seeing as it was pointless. With the smoke gone and the villains running he figured that it was now a good time to stop and reload. "We don't have comms between us, and considering I don't have a good means of signaling without firing a bunch of shots figured you'd get the jist." He ejected the magazine, locking the slide back and catching the last round that was in the chamber. "Besides, I don't resort to lethal first. Those bullets cost a lot of money, and I have a supplier that offers up nonlethal means cheap."
He slotted in the paint rounds, readying himself as he looked up at her. "It's only a cut. It'll heal. Hell, maybe it'll finally get me a date," he says, deciding to inject a little bit of his crass humor into the situation as he walks to the end of the hall where the villains jetted off to.
Of course, shortly after that he heard the getaway car crash through the barricade. They were now in a vehicle; cool. That was outside of Mark's area of expertise. All that meant was they could just put the Invisible Lady in cuffs, make sure all the people were fine-
Nope. He now found himself in Titanomechia's grasp, hoisted up onto her shoulder. Damn near gave him a heart attack, too. "You know, when I once said I wouldn't mind being picked up for once, this is not how I imagined it!" he says, taking hold of a few hairs to steady himself. This was not what he had in mind for stopping the car, and if he was being honest he hated every second of it. "This is way too dangerous, especially since the only other gun I have can put a hole through-"
An idea came to mind. Bringing the Carry to bear, he lined up the shot as best he could; it wasn't perfect, but he unloaded all eight rounds into the back of the vehicle best he could. Five hit their mark, pasting several paint marks on it as it began to speed away. "Let it go. Assuming that thing transforms, we might be able to find it later." Surely their two different heroing styles wouldn't clash with this decision...right?

If there was one thing Mark had to give Tabitha credit for, she was both unique and diligent. While the shop wasn't the cleanest, he had been in places where things were an absolute sty. Besides, it just showed that not only did she care about her workplace but also used it. Good traits, in his opinion. As she returned with both buckets, he tossed a good casing into the empty one, looking back at the trail she made with the water. "It's a lot harder to do on the road than in a shop like this," he says, moving the bag so that she could start her own inspections. "It's even harder without the right tools. Or even good quality ones. I have an old beat-up thing that at one point in time was really good, but it's in need of some work. Rims the casing, helps replace the primer. Even has a little press on the side. But there's only so much WD-40 and duct tape can do." He plinks a few more cases into the bucket, shrugging. "Didn't have time to find a shop to get it repaired. Was busy with a case. And depending on the state was just easier to buy the ammo I needed. Until Cali, really." He tossed a casing onto the scrap pile, glancing over at her. "So were you a tech head before getting involved in the occult, or did you do witchy stuff before deciding to build gear to trap the supernatural?"Tabitha Yamamura

Even if the spikes went wide Mark would still duck down as the projectiles stuck in the wall near him, glancing up briefly before getting his head back in the game. Telekinesis, spikes, two mutants. That leaves one out, not counting the Invisible man. Now how to-
The crash in the front set him on edge, and rounding the corner he fired off two rounds at the fleeing mutant men. The rounds might not have enough voltage to take them down, but it was worth a try in the end. If anything, he was lamenting the fact that Titanomechia was acting before he had a chance to get the people out. Not like I'd have a lot of luck getting them out with how bound they are. Before he could make it to the gaggle he caught sight of something moving to his left, and before he knew it his face was knocked to the side with a fresh cut spewing blood. This was no time to pause, act!
He took a few steps back in retreat, following the ripples in the water and the smoke before pulling the trigger again, the round flying past the intended target and hitting the wall in the distance. He ducked under what he perceived to be another punch, turning his gun in order to swing the butt of the pistol into the Invisible Man's gut, following up with a headbutt that would more than likely miss. He followed up with a second shot, more point blank now and with all the commotion going on he would have to draw his knife in order to get the people free; hopefully the two at the front would be too preoccupied with the raging arm and the other guy incapable of doing much of anything so he could get these people out of here.

It would take him a minute as he went the long way to avoid detection, but after a little while Mark found the back of the bank. He tested the door, and surprisingly found it unlocked. Well, there's your problem, he thinks, slowly pushing it open as he drew the Carry. There were some residual marks on the handle, and after a brief scan of the memories found nothing of particular interest; one of the guards was having an affair with a teller, but that was not his concern.
The real information he got out of the memories was the layout of the bank. Sure, lines on paper told you the layout of a building, but it paled in comparison to someone else's experiences. The hallway he had opened up to was to the back offices, hidden and out of the way of the average customer and only in use for the real pencil pushers of the place. And the security office, and essentially all facilities for the workers when not in front. He slipped through the halls and stopped outside an archway to take stock of the situation, the lobby being on the other side. Right out the gate he didn't like this. He had eyes on five of them, but nothing on the other two suspected. It was possible there was only five, but Mark didn't feel comfortable taking that chance.
The better question was, what was the play? They were focused on the front entrance, and everyone in the middle was bound and gagged together. That was extra as hell, unless these guys were worried the people would rise up against their captors. He clicked his teeth for one second, and determined the action that needed to be taken. As soon as the big guys went back into the vault he rounded the corner, firing his first smoke round at what he perceived to be the ringleader, then at the two keeping lookout, then the last at the vault itself to lay down a decent smokescreen. The remaining rounds in the gun were stun, and with his first move completed he did a scan for any of the remaining two villains as he started to make his way to the hostages.

Mark couldn't help but let a little of his snark out at some of her comments. "Well, you're right about people worrying. The hostages might have a few choice words."
Mark nodded at the Sergeant as he holstered the weapon again, letting out a sigh. "Can't be helped. We'll manage, one way or another. I'd keep the paramedics on standby, just in case." He'd look back at Titanomachia as she mentioned keeping them busy, raising an eyebrow before looking back at the Sergeant. "So I'm going to take a walk. Assuming the back door is unlocked I can make an effort to get in and do a little recon. Hopefully make a hole for-"
He looked over as the other hero started to make her move, shrugging his shoulders. "...the people to get out. At least, attempt to. If you hear gunfire, try to send in some gas first."

The sudden appearance of a new pro wasn't surprising to Mark. There were too many of them that made a big scene on arrival that, in his opinion, made the job that much harder. Then again, he did what he could to look like an average joe. Made his life that much easier, unassuming. Granted, his luck in the dating pool was abysmal because of this but he could live without that.
This pro, though. Titanomechia. That there was a character. And unfortunately any surprise that was to be had was now gone. But this did mean he didn't have to do all the heavy lifting now. As she approached he would sip his coffee, giving her a smile at the veiled insult. He was tempted to fire back with, Can't say the same, but if he did she might storm off out of spite. Pro heroes were almost like actors in that regard. He'd be quiet throughout the briefing, taking in the conversation as he studied the map. Oh, how nice it would be if he could glean any kind of information by touching it! Knowing all the lines on the paper was one thing, but knowing the layout of the place was another...
"Doesn't matter if they know I'm here or not," he says, taking a long and obnoxious sounding sip of his coffee. "That entrance of yours no doubt tipped 'em off that pros are on the scene. Don't matter if they're amateurs or pros, they're going to be on edge." He set his cup down on the table, drawing the Carry from his jacket and releasing the magazine, stowing it in a pocket. "Invisibility, telekinesis. Any other suspected quirks? Mutation with eyes in the back of one's head, tremor sense, cheese constructs?" He locked in a fresh magazine, one where the first few rounds were smoke. Even without help from Titanomechia this was going to be difficult, and now he had to worry about things becoming a show.

A look of annoyance crossed Mark's face as he locked the door after him, looking at the steering column then back at Dante. "You owe me a beer after this. Also, you really need to take better care of this thing, it's older than both you and me combined!" As the gang started to corral around the car and Dante got into his shouting match Mark reached into his jacket to pull out the Carry, dropping the current magazine into the floorboard and racking the slide back to eject any casing left in the chamber. "And go figure, the one time rock salt could be useful I don't have any. Should really check in with that big tiddied goth lady and see how all that's coming along-" the jar from behind caused him to drop the fresh magazine he was fixing to slam in, taser rounds to better handle the situation; his standard paint bullets wouldn't do the trick here. To make matters worse Dante had floored it, sending his head back into the headrest as he gripped the center console, taking a deep breath. <"Jesus, you're worse than my brother!"> he says, slipping back into English as he adjusts himself and began to look for the taser magazine. "This group ain't known for causing problems outside their area of influence. Get to the interstate and try to keep away from back alleys. They might try to ambush us." Finding what he was looking for (and ensuring it was the right one in the dim light) he slammed it in and began to roll his window down. Dante

Can't have a peaceful day, can he? It made him miss the small towns and random haunts he used to visit back home, the home cooking and the laid back life most people had. Japan wasn't awful, but the city he was stuck in made his life as unfun as possible.
He couldn't help but look on at the scene unfolding. Police barricade, what he could only assume to be a hostage situation, and request for hero support. After a good minute Mark let out a loud sigh, shoulders slumping as he took a sip of his coffee and stepped towards the line. As he approached one of the officers held up his hand, beginning to explain that this was an ongoing situation and that civilians weren't supposed to be there. That was pretty standard for Mark, as he didn't flaunt his status as a hero. That and he didn't dress the part. Pulling his license out and flashing it to the officer he'd look beyond as he began to formulate what might be going on. "Take me to someone in charge. I might not be for much, but at least I'm another body to block bullets for you fine men in blue." There was a level of sarcasm there, but it couldn't be helped.
With a grunt the officer indicated to Mark to follow, and after a few moments he found himself at the command post. "Isn't this outside your forte, Lone Wolf?" the lieutenant asks, eyeing Mark up and down. For once he had spent a sleepless night grading papers that he had been putting off and putting off, but they needed to be in before the end of the week. Better to get them all done all at once.
"Look, just give me a sitrep and I'll see what I can do. Maybe give an opening to your swat boys or something like that."

Mark nodded, seeming to be satisfied as he picked up a pair of safety glass and pointing them at Marlene. "Good. I expected nothing less. Now, that there is an antique break action revolver. Ain't anything special, but unloading it is a ton of fun. Go ahead and pick that up and put these on." He handed her the pair, producing a pair of aviators and slipping them on. "We don't have the luxury of eye and ear protection in the field. Well, we could, but then we'd look stupid. If you want to integrate any kind of protection out in the field that's your prerogative, but in training it's mandatory. Targets downrange are angled in such a way to prevent ricochets back at us, but you can never be too careful. Ear protection also keeps your eardrums from rupturing. Not as dangerous with smaller calibers, but better to establish good habits early."He slid a box of ammunition towards her, tapping the top. "Twenty-two long rifle. Also known as the Assassin's Bullet. Standard rounds are not menacing and lack a lot of penetrating power and typically not recommended for carry. However, if they do penetrate a target then they're one of the most dangerous. It's not uncommon for a bullet to deflect off of bone, and this round is notorious for it. Unless you're shooting magnum the twenty-two likes to stay in the body, bounce around and turn your organs into swiss cheese. Hit the soft spot of the skull and it'll bounce around inside your head worse than a catchy song. Release lever is on the left, press it down all the way and push down on the barrel, gently. Despite my efforts I've not been able to find replacement release levers."Marlene Lovechild

Mark enjoyed casual strolls through the city. Never mind the stack of papers he had to grade, that could wait to be a Tomorrow Mark problem. For now he was more interested in having a good evening; taking in the sights, having a few drinks, gandering at some of the fine ladies around town- Oh, and dealing with a giant fire monster. Wait, what? He stopped as the creature off in the distance began to start its rampage, doing any and all damage that it could. Legally, Mark was required to help, but unfortunately for those moving in to assist with the creature he was more of a liability than anything else. A quirk that was good for investigative skills, basic bar brawling abilities, two nice guns that he could use to separate a fly from his testicles at eighty feet with iron sights, yeah. There was no feasible way for him to deal with a giant monster like that. So, cool and collected as can be, he walked up to the nearest food stall and ordered a wrap for himself. Yes, he was aware of the emergency, no, he was not concerned, and yes you should get going as soon as possible. Preferably after I get that wrap. I'll even pay double. Thank you, please be safe and orderly. Easy. Wrap in hand, he'd begin to check his phone and calculate the best course of action for people to get out of this district. Every so often he'd start to flag people down, and with a mouth full of food would give directions to the closest safe harbor. Ideally, people should get as far away from the fires as possible, but that was in a perfect world. This wasn't perfect. To make matters worse he saw a couple of young punks break into a storefront, and letting out a sigh he went to go confront them. "Excuse me, young ne'er-do-wells, evac point is on the opposite side of the district. If you could relocate yourselves to that area, that would be nice. Preferably without any of this storefront's merchandise. That'd be stealing, which is wrong and I know you know better." Felix Yasuragi Yoru junko Koffee-Kun
