"Understood, Recall." Yuki Onna replied with a curt nod, already considering how to best follow the order. Making sure she stayed some distance away from Iphigenia to intercept whatever came their way but close enough that they could reinforce each other should the need arise she took a deep breath. It did not take long for the first critters to arrive. Given their likely proximity before they'd activated the music Mai could only hope that by redirecting them here they'd ensured the safety of innocent people nearby.

"I'll take the three on the left," Mai called out right before rushing into the fray. Only five had come for now but unless they dealt with them in a timely manner it was possible they'd be overwhelmed by reinforcements. A titan triggerfish with the mouth of a lamprey leapt for her first. Side stepping it she delivered a palm strike to the side of its head to rattle it before bringing her arm up and then her elbow down to finish it off. Catching the claw of a humphead parrotfish with the limbs of a lobster she twisted, swinging it into its compatriot with enough force to wrench the offending appendage off before leaping up and bringing her foot down on both of them with her full weight behind it. The thought popped into her head that the desserts she'd been partaking in as of late may have added to the strike. With a slight flush coloring her face she ignored that idea, channeling a bit of her quirk through her cheeks to cool them down once more before turning back to Iphi to see if the situation had changed.

Mai had been expecting a counter before her strike landed. In a way that made Farrin's unexpected chain attack expected. She was going to count that as a win. Mai had the distinct impression she wasn't going to collect any others now that she'd run into Oberon. Not all quirks were made equal, even her own sister had a better one than herself, and Farrin's was top of the line. What was even more terrifying was his mastery of both it and the other tools at his disposal. The corner of Mai's lip curled into a proud smile. She wouldn't be rolling over and giving up just because she was at a disadvantage.

"Muhahaha! A chain?! Naught but a lamp can hold the Blazing Djinn!"

Mentally apologizing to Gleipnir for her comment Mai flung her sword down and kicked the pommel to give it more force. It hit one of the chain links just right for the chain to pass in front of her instead of hitting her full on. Her hand whipped out to grasp the end before it got out of reach. Putting her entire arm behind a swing she cracked the chain like a whip, sending the sword flying back up into her reach so she could catch it once more while the other end of the chain shattered a window. Another wide swing had it crack once more and shatter the window next to it as well, wrapping around the stile between them to both arrest her momentum and swing her towards the opposite side of Farrin. With Sadako flanking him on one side and herself on the other she'd put their odds slightly higher than they were before.

Landing with a roll to arrest her momentum she pushed through the strain she felt from the impact. Those buildings were much higher than what she'd normally feel comfortable jumping down from but villains were known for their recklessness. Maintaining her momentum she once more started zig-zagging on an intercept course towards Oberon, her hand loosely holding her sword. Partially for flexibility of use, partially because catching that chain had hurt far more than expected. Hearing the approaching students as well Mai knew she had to be fast. The debris coming down around her provided both cover and hazards, with some luck her experience would allow her to use it to eke out an advantage compared to the new arrivals. Either way the timer was running out for her to harry Oberon. It was now or never.

"Recall, please advise."

With sword in hand Mai had been flitting from rooftop to rooftop, ambushing whichever student she came across and engaging in hit-and-run tactics wherever she could. Upon spotting Playboy and Mood Ring facing off with Recall and Apparel she nodded in approval. A fair fight such as this would provide an excellent opportunity for growth. Her steps stuttered as she came to a realization. They were supposed to be villains. Villains didn't fight fair! With a shouted war cry Mai leapt into the fight.

"Muhaha! Rue the day you crossed the Blazing Djinn!"



Holding her blunted ornamental sword in a reverse grip -for only villains would do such an illogical thing- Mai rushed towards Mood Ring's side, leaping from the rooftop next to the one she was standing upon to attempt a slash at the student, forcing her to either turn her guns away from the ongoing melee and face her or be forced to fend her off quirkless. Either way Mai did not stick around to check long enough, zig-zagging to avoid potential shots both on the way there and retaliation as she swept past Mood Ring and leapt from the rooftop. With a subtle nod towards Gleipnir on the way down to get her intentions across she span in a summersault with her sword over her head, plunging down right at Oberon.

"Face the wrath of the Blazing Djinn, do-gooder!"

As expected of two inexperienced combatants that had only met recently their combination attack was sloppy at best. Nat's kick had come far too early and Yoko's jab far too late. The result was not unlike in movies where each combatant came at the main character one by one, albeit Nat and Yoko at least managed to make their second and first strikes respectively hit at roughly the same time. Even so the fact that both of them went for the same general area was a waste of the entire maneuver.

Mai retorted by slinging the middle of the same scarf that was already wrapped around Nat's ankle in a sideways arc across the ground so that it'd be on the other side of her leg when she finished her stomp. At roughly the same time she took a small hop back to avoid both of their strikes with little ease. She waited just long enough for both of them to hit dirt before countering in a way that would likely make them hit the dirt. The moment Nat's stomp landed but before she could properly redistribute her weight once more Mai would yank on the scarf, forming the piece of cloth into a rough Z shape with the first three points being Nat's wrapped ankle, her other leg and Mai's arm respectively.

At the same time she'd carry her first small hop into a second diagonal one to put Nat directly in between her and Yoko. She make sure to lean into the hop to put her full weight into the pull as well. Unless Nat was more skilled or far faster at responding to the unexpected than Mai thought she was it'd pull her feet into one another and then pull them right her way causing the girl to fall backwards right onto her partner. Should she somehow prevent that however Mai would instead channel her quirk through the scarf to harden it and lock their respective positions in place.

Either way Yoko would have to avoid and go around her to continue to stay on the offense. It'd throw their teamwork off and Mai doubted they'd be able to recover before she started fighting back. Quite frankly Mai wasn't impressed by their performance in the slightest. Had this been a real battle and she'd been a villain both of them would already be dead.

A single blade darted through the gloom. Flying straight as an arrow Elijah's knife hit its target dead on and caused the ball to burst. Vines expanded every which way, entangling the group that was about to launch it and causing them to go down before they even realized they were under attack. The vines constricted the moment they finished expanding, pulling the whole group into one neat pile. When the sidekick Vinetangle signed up to assist in UAU's exercise she certainly hadn't imagined her (allegedly) famed signature capture technique would be turned on herself so easily.

Further from the warehouse Ghosthound was sent sprawling from Emilia's shot, stunned but not yet out of the fight. Either way it'd take him a bit to gather himself and go after Junsuina again. Not that Gungnir had the time to confirm her success for mere moments later the enemy was upon her. Batguy attempted to block with his iron pipe but proved woefully unprepared for the weight of her blow. Spikes on the other hand was a bit tougher to deal with, forcing Gungnir to either pull her blows, refrain from going for center mass or risk stabbing herself on his arms. He went for parries and quick swings to inflict scratches and tire her out in response. Of the three however it was Oil Spill that was the most slippery. The punches seemed to almost slide off her turning them into little more than glancing blows. More worrying was the fact that every time Emilia's fists made contact she could feel herself weakening just a little.

Jun both had more and less luck dealing with her opponents. Their inability to get a bead on her due to the lights caused them to fail to fight back properly and combined with their numbers -by now there were seven of them engaged in combat with her- led to them getting in each others way more often than not. Not one of them managed to land a decent hit by the time the Ghosthound took a stunning blow. The reverse was true as well however. With the weight of numbers pressing down on Mood Ring and their refusal to come at her one at a time it was difficult if not impossible to truly commit to a strike lest the opening led to her being taken down. 

Mai turned away from one of the screens she was watching. Letting go of the button on one mic and pressing down on the one that would let her talk to Team A she addressed Team A.

"Trailblazer. Several more parties inbound. Run interference to keep them off balance and prevent them from getting in the way of the rescue operation. Gungnir. Fight your way through, head for the door and rendezvous with Team C inside. Mood Ring. Delay as many of them as you can for as long as possible. Everyone. The mission is important but do not forget about your own safety. Dead heroes cannot save anyone."

Taking a drink from her water bottle Mai let go of the button once more and checked several more scenes. She most definitely preferred being on the field over being part of mission command. Shelving the thought for later she pushed the button on another mic and continued. Team A could need to deal with the next stretch by themselves but the job was far from over for any of them.

TL;DR:
-Elijah's targets go down in a heap and are locked in a bundle of vines. Mai asks him to run interference on several more groups that are nearing Team A's location and the warehouse entrance.
-Emilia's shot temporarily stuns the Ghosthound. Upon engaging with the group of three she's requested by Mai to fight her way through them and rendezvous with Team C inside of the building.
-Junsuina's efforts to direct and delay the reinforcements pays off, leading to a temporary stalemate until she retreats. Seeing her actions Mai petitions her to hold off as many of them for as long as possible to ensure they don't intervene with the rest of the rescue operation.
-Mai orders all of them to stay safe arguing that dead heroes can't save anyone.
