Kario Marts!!!!!
Open to: All U.A. Students, both Support and hero departments
Number of threads: 3, Maybe more depending on the amount of interest

IC Information: University can be a drag, way too much work, not enough fun and definitely not enough recreational uses for people's quirks and skillsets. Being the problem solver that he is, Zenkai has taken it upon himself to fix this issue and put together a grand prix where Hero and support students a like can cut lose and go nuts using their quirks and equipment in increasingly ridiculous ways. Of course, this couldn't have been done without the help of his bestie/roommate Kei who was generous enough to help the titan build both the race track and the go-karts that the students would be driving. Thus the U.A.U Kario Marts Grand Prix was born. Every track goes through one of the simulated areas of the USJ each equipped with their own hazards and special weapons.
OOC INFORMATION:
The time has arrived for Mario Karts at the U.A.U to begin! Here's how it's going to go down. People can sign up for the double dash in which they will be paired with a partner, one driver, one attacker who can switch off at will or Single Kart competition where they will be driving and attacking at the same time! Support students are welcome to create whatever Mario Kart weapons they'd like to use during the competition while hero students are free to use their quirks to their hearts content against their opponents.
There will be different tracks of course, Bowser's Castle in the conflagration Zone, Sherbert land In the Ice Zone, Twisted mansion in the darkness Zone and of course Rainbow Road high up top in the rafters of the USJ. Currently these courses are subject to change and if you have a suggestion that we like better it's will more than likely be changed.
Threads will most likely consist of 4 people in total since any more than that seems to be a thread killer, The NPCs and the track hazards can be done by yourselves or if you want an added element of randomness I am more than happy to Play the part myself.

[attr="class","ZenkaiExposition"]Getting boosted with Temporal Energy was probably the closest he'd get to doing Cocaine in his life. The speed that came with the buff seemed like something out of a cartoon. His fist connected with the closest monster before Zenkai could even think about it or process it. It was a weird sensation to get used to, being faster than his mind could really process but after a few more attacks Zen felt like he was getting a handle on it.
As soon as the titan got used to the speed boost he began to let fury rain down upon the creatures that dared to trap them. Zenkai reached out and grabbed one of the monsters before spinning around and slamming it directly into the ground, delivering a quick series of blows to it's head to finish it off. A second was taken out when Zen slipped behind it, grabbing it's jaw and spinning it's head around like a top until it popped clean off.
Still, even with his new speed the titan wasn't able to stop all the blows that were aimed at him. Soon enough the enlightened one was covered in his own blood and the black, brackish, ichor of the monsters that surrounded them. Zenkai wasn't exactly thrilled to have his partner leave him alone with the monsters in search of bigger glory but one of them needed to do it and Farrin was the one cut out to be the hero.
The titan wasted no time grabbing onto Farrin's hero suit "Up you go!" The titan shouted as he spun around before yeeting the Irish lad up in the general vicinity that he pointed to. It wasn't a perfect toss, Zen was going to fast and was too pumped to be able to throw her accurately. He trusted the time lord though, Zen got him to where he needed to go, roughly, Farrin would be able to figure out the rest of it.
With Farrin gone it was now just the titan and the monsters. Zen was fairly certain he'd be able to get out of this alive, as Long as Farrin's speed boost lasted he'd be able to keep the monster's at bay without having to resort to his quirk. [attr="class","ZenkaiExposition"]"You know, they said we'd be assigned teams at random and we wouldn't get a choice at being the villains or heroes but we still got teamed up and we still got to be the villains" Zenkai let out a loud yawn as he laid down against the bomb, setting down the bucket of chocolate turtles he had brought with him as a snack while they waited for their opponents to show up. "You know I hope the people we're up against take it slow and think we're setting up a trap or something, it'll give me more time to take a nap."
It made Zenkai pretty happy that he had been assigned with Thea on this exercise after all the only reason he agreed to participate was because the Mentat had signed up for it. If they hadn't been assigned together Zenkai probably would have dipped out when his partner wasn't looking, there wasn't any point in sticking around if he wasn't going to get to have any fun. Besides, most students here seemed like hard workers and he really didn't want to get a lecture from another student for napping on the job.
"So, what are you going to be doing while we wait for the goof troop to show up?" Zenkai asked as he popped a chocolate turtle into his mouth. "You're free to take a nap with me, Well...Not like, WITH me but the bomb is pretty comfy so you can take the other side...Honestly, Kinda weird you signed up for this in the first place...Why did you do it anyway?" He had been trying to get to know more about Thea ever since they met but she certainly wasn't making it easy. Everything he did seemed to just piss her off but that didn't mean he'd stop trying. Hopefully being stuck with him during patrols and practices would erode the walls she set up around herself so that she could finally let him in. [attr="class","ZenkaiExposition"]Zenkai raised his eyebrows in surprise as Thea explained her quirk to him. It was...Scary to say the least. A person's mind was the only real place that they could have some privacy and with her quirk anyone's mind was now an open book. The golden boi would definitely prefer having an entire library forcibly downloaded into his mind than have her take a peek at his darkest secrets. Zen made a mental note to keep the Mentat at arms length lest she get any ideas about taking a sneak peak into the inner workings of his mind.
"That's cool as hell" Zenkai finally spoke as he followed his partner through the back alleys "Makes interrogations a lot easier when you can just pull the information right out of their brain!" The titan thought for a second before adding on "So like...Could you just teach me how to bake by just slapping the information into my mind? I've always wanted to learn how to bake but I'm pretty bad at it" While it was mostly a joke intended to lighten the mood, Zenkai really did want to learn how to bake and this seemed like a way easier route than actually having to read or watch something on Baking.
It didn't take long with the information obtained by Thea's quirk for them to find the location of the underground dog fighting ring. It looked like a simple delivery service, something most people wouldn't even think twice about. It's probably how they were able to stay under the radar for so long. Unfortunately the two of them had no intention of letting them stay in business now that they had found them. "Yeah, no problem, give me a second."
Zenkai was completely comfortable with playing the part of the muscle. It was a role he was good at, in fact, he'd go so far as to say he actually enjoyed it. "Hey there! Is this the illegal Dog fighting place?" The titan asked as he approached the guard, waving at him happily "I wanted to go see some fights" The guard gave Zen a confused look but before he could do anything the monster of a man reached out and grabbed the dudes shirt before slamming his forehead into the man's face with a loud crunch. In a whirlwind of blood Zenkai spun around on his feet before launching the guard through the set of doors, a loud crash echoing down the alley announcing their arrival.

[attr="class","ZenkaiExposition"]The ease of Zenkai's first assault definitely betrayed the strength of the creatures in front of them. The first creature was easy to take down but the follow up attacks seemed to have less effect as the titan hammered his fists into his opponents. He knew that he was doing damage to them but not nearly enough or at least not fast enough to put them down before they pressed on with their counter attack.
The creatures claws tore into the titan's back, arms and chest as the monsters tried to tear him apart. Pain coursed through the golden boi's body with each attack, the smell of iron filling the air as blood began to seep from his wounds. with every strike Zenkai could feel his anger rising. He could feel something deep within him begging to be set free, to reap the destruction it so desperately wanted. If it wasn't for Farrin's voice Zen might have given into the temptation.
"WHAT THE HELL ARE THESE THINGS MADE OUT OF" The Enlightened one shouted as he kicked out the legs from one of the monsters before slamming his heel into it's face, crushing it against the ground. It took another minute and a half for Zenkai to vent his anger out on another shadow with a flurry of punches before pouncing on the monster and bashing the creatures head into the ground until there was nothing left but Ichor.
"You can give me a boost?" [attr="class","ZenkaiExposition"]Zenkai didn't have the heart to tell the girl that his build was mostly thanks to his quirk, or at least that's what he assumed. It took very little for the titan to get into shape and maintain it, honestly he was more of a fan of sitting around and doing nothing than working out or patrolling or doing absolutely anything at all. Unfortunately being a hero and a student meant that he needed to actually do work and this was apart of it.
There was no time for Zen to explain this all to his partner once the chaos kicked off. Their conversation would have to take place later, right now they had more important things to do. One of those important things, at least on Zen's list was to make sure his battle buddy was in the right state of mind. It seemed like years of being teased and laughed at had done some damage to her self esteem. That didn't sit right with the enlightened one, Freja was strong in her own right regardless of what anyone else said, she just needed to see it for herself.
"Oi" The golden boi grabbed onto Freja's shoulder before bending down to look her in the eyes "You're a badass with a baseball bat, you have no reason to be scared even if that dude's arm is a Katana" Zen gave Freja a pat on the shoulder to send her off "Don't doubt yourself I have all the trust in the world, you're going to do great"
With the impromptu motivational speech over Zenkai was left to do his part. The titan let out a sigh as he approached the man and his hostage keeping his hands up and in sight "Hey there bud! No need to bring the old lady into it, I'm sure if you let go of her we can get out out just fine!" Of course this was an obvious lie, they were there now which left the villain with only one choice now: Jail.
"Yeah right! You're a hero aren't you? Do you think I'd really believe that you'd let me get away?" Zen let out a sigh before chuckling "I mean, as long as you let the lady go and fuck off I don't really care, I don't want to be stuck with any paperwork! what's your name bud? I'm Zen, it's a pleasure to meet you" The titan spoke, hoping to delay the man long enough for Freja to get into position. Zenkai took a deep breath as he started to center himself. He had spent four years with the monks for this exact reason, to learn how to tune out the destructive instinct. He refused to even listen to the darker part of him for a second out of fear of what could happen. He was pretty sure that Farrin would probably be able to withstand the devastation that his quirk wrought but on the off chance that he couldn't Zen would never be able to forgive himself.
While the titan centered himself the time lord went on the attack, giving Zen the room he needed to get his instincts under control before going on the attack. It took only a minute or two for Zenkai to center himself and even in that short amount of time Farrin had done some damage to the shadow monsters and had gained their full attention. That was the son of a hero for you, already head and shoulders above his classmates even if it was just in combat ability it was clear that the Irish lad was where he belonged.

[attr="class","ZenkaiExposition"]The titan didn't like the feeling of being watched, being hunted, he didn't understand it fully but it mad him angry. The air felt thick, almost suffocating at this point, there was something wrong about this place. For the first time in a very long time Zen thought about his quirk, there was something gnawing at the back of his mind that told him to fight and destroy whatever was trying to threaten them.
The voice in the darkness did little to quell the titan's anger. The disembodied voice taunted them from the shadows, telling the pair that they were...Early? That was the strangest thing that had been spoken. Early to what? How did this guy know who they were? Why was he waiting for them? What on earth did he want with them? The titan had plenty of questions for the man behind the voice but he had the feeling that he would get none of them answered. "Why don't you come out here and play with us yourself? Not scared are ya?" Zenkai taunted back as he scanned around the darkness for the source of the voice.
Suddenly figured began to emerge from the shadow, they looked humanoid but they definitely weren't human. Each one was more grotesque than the last and every single figure sported an big, unnerving grin on their faces as they stumbled towards the pair. [attr="class","ZenkaiExposition"]Zenkai grinned as he assessed Kei's choices of beverages, Kei seemed like a sweet person and his beverage choices only backed that up, tea, hot chocolate, soda. The soda part definitely checked out. Kei wasn't fat but the soda probably wasn't doing him any favors, though Zenkai couldn't be one to judge, ever since he had left the monastery his diet consisted of mostly junk food and fast food.
It literally took Kei less than five minutes to find his beloved mug warmers getting a matching set for the two of them which was pretty sweet of him. "I mean, I've been working on cooking more, or baking at least, everyone likes baked goods right? Figured it's an easy way to make friends." The titan held up two frilly pink aprons that were covered in cupcakes. "Figured it could be an activity we do together"
Zenkai grinned as he looked at their cart which was steadily filling up with the various containers, rugs, blankets, pillows and other assorted items the two needed to make their dorm room a home. "So, what else do we need? I remember the Blaja's but that's about it" The titan grinned as he leaned down to peer over Kei's shoulder and at the list his room mate had made.
Suddenly a scream ripped through the Ikea and forcing Zenkai's eyes away from the list. For the first time since they entered the Ikea, Zenkai realized that they were alone, no patrons, no employees, just them and the eerily still floor room they were in. [attr="class","ZenkaiExposition"]It seemed to be a common thread amongst a lot of the students at the university, hero parents producing hero kids. In a way it made sense to Zen, Parents were usually kid's first role models and being able to see the benefits a hero brought to society first hand probably helped motivate some of the students into pursuing their parent's line of work. Zen only hoped they were in it for the right reasons and not just in it for the fame and clout that came along with saving the day.
"Oh that's cool, anyone I might know?" He asked, doing his best to keep the conversation off of himself. The titan was happy to hear that Farrin has the same relative view on herodom as he did. Quirks definitely helped when it came to fighting crime and helping people out but showing off and bragging about ones quirk seemed unnecessary and cringey to Zen. It also felt especially mean ever since he had met Freja, she had no quirk. He couldn't imagine how she must feel around everyone so willing to show of their own.
The change of environment was noticeable the second the two of them crossed into the "bad" Part of town. It was almost as if Zen could feel the danger in the atmosphere. Farrin had been right to wander off their route to investigate the area, something didn't feel right about this place and it would be better if whatever was lurking in the darkness of these streets to attack them and not some poor unexpecting bystander.

Of course he wasn't about to make anything of it, she'd probably just get angry or tell him that he was imagining it. Typical Tsundere. Honestly all that mattered to Zen was that the mentat seemed to be having more fun now than she was before.
As the titan wiped some blood from his face he watched as his newest friend quite literally floored a dude with just a touch. Zen had no fucking clue what had just happened. He assumed that it had to do with the quirk that made her trip balls all the time. Zen looked down at the comatose owner, wincing slightly, he was definitely going on a trip in his favorite rocket ship now. "Damn, Remind me to never piss you off" The giant kicked the owner gently before adding "At least he deserved it...wait...Tabitha?" Zenkai looked over at the cat in Thea's arms, raising one eyebrow. He wondered if she was going to be keeping the cat from now on but they had more important things to do.

[attr="class","ZenkaiExposition"]Extra credit was not something that Zenkai really wanted to do, they had been assigned to a nice quiet neighborhood to do some patrolling where there would almost certainly be no trouble. Of course, Farrin being the person that he was had decided to stop over in the bad part of town where there would almost certainly be trouble and they'd almost certainly have to intervene. Of course the titan wasn't going to complain about it, what Farrin wanted to do was the objectively right thing to do, if they could help people in need then they needed to help them, even if Zen just wanted to relax.
The two of them had decided to pass the time by talking about their shared hometown, the good, the bad, the pizza. It was an easy topic to discuss. Small talk was good talk in Zen's mind Zen liked keeping things surface level, he didn't like people pushing themselves into his personal life, into his past.
Eventually the conversation turned to something he'd rather not talk about. His Arrival to U.A. If he gave too short an answer his partner in justice would undoubtably ask more follow up questions and if he gave to long of an answer he risked delving into territory he sure as hell didn't want to enter. "Granddad, he was pretty insistent that I become a hero and take over his agency when I graduate, nepotism at it's finest" The titan tone was his usual relaxed one, his eyes scanning around for any kind of trouble. "You?"
With one uncomfortable question came another, Several students had made remarks already about his little "Show" at the exhibition. "Never did like Self-aggrandizing displays of power, feels a bit like an act of auto-fellatio if you ask me, so I figured I'd make my own little point and have myself a good meal at other people's expenses." Zen shrugged as he continued "You don't need a strong quirk to be a hero, you just need the will to do the right thing and the courage to follow through with it. I've got that much, nothing else really matters" Farrin didn't need to know why he refused to use his quirk, in fact, no one did. His reasonings were his own and he'd keep it that way. His quirk was too dangerous to ever use again, not after what happened to Marlene. You had the time lord, you had the mushroom head, you had the gun bird and...well...He didn't know the other one but he was certain that they were weird too, it seemed like the qualifier to be at the table at the moment. It didn't really matter to Zen, apparently he needed more "Friends" Anyway and this group seemed as decent of a bunch as any other he'd find at U.A.U.
"Tripping balls as far as I know, you know having their good good college experience courtesy of ol' mister LSD" The titan responded to Zen as he finished off another burrito before turning to his future partner in crime. Zen didn't know a lot about college but he did know when someone was tripping balls and Thea fit that to a proverbial T.
"Yo, Feed yo'self, there's plenty to go around" Was Zenkai lying, definitely, he had been planning to eat them all but he wasn't about to be selfish in front of all of these hungry students. He could share them, after all that was the right thing to do. He had brought more burritos than anyone person could ever possibly eat and if he was hungry after he could just find more food to wolf down.
"Take a few" The enlightened one instructed, tossing a handful of burritos to Farrin, the lad obviously looked hungry and Zen wasn't about to deny him the divine intervention that was the taco hut's burritos. In fact, he threw a burrito towards everyone in the current vicinity, besides Thea, she had had enough food tossed on her by the titan, he didn't need to add a burrito onto the list of culinary sins committed upon her.
