[PTabbedContent] [PTab=CALLAGHAN] Callaghan, real name Callaghan Maximillion, is a veteran hero who moved to Japan long ago. His long list of achievements and many years in the business have made him a recognizable name in the industry, to the point where even experienced pros often turn to him for advice on how to better themselves. - He's a gentle giant; an amicable elder who finds amusement in the sheer amount of energy those younger than him exude. His voice is deep and holds a tone that highlights his wisdom.
- Nowadays, Callaghan only steps in as a hero in times of great crisis due to his size (think Elementals level of catastrophe). Because of this he mostly spends his time running his agency or appearing in public events as a guest and mentor.
- Seriously though, the guy's at least ten feet tall. Without his wings.
QUIRK — ROCK AND STONECallaghan can telekinetically move stone, where his main usage of it comes in the form of positioning the plating on his body. He can layer them to tank blows, detach them to launch them out at high speeds, and even use them as an aid to lift allies in the air. When his Quirk is active, nearby pebbles move to orbit around him. GEARWINGS OF GOLDHis weight makes it impossible for him to lift himself with his Quirk, so a different solution had to be made so he could achieve flight. The wings on his back is that solution. Complete with bets.
- She has severe cute aggression. Be glad she doesn't use her hat to hug things.
QUIRK — "CLOTH CONTROL"Knockout can control fabrics she's wearing, from bulking them up to block attacks to stretching them to slap others silly from a range. This is what she tells others at least. Only those close to her know her Quirk's true nature. QUIRK — WILDFIREHotshot generates pink fire. Mostly used to fire streams and fast shots from his hands, but he's able to emit them from any part of his body. While water would be an expected weakness, the amount needed surprises many people because the heat he gives off evaporates most of it. One of the only reliable ways to douse him is to fully dunk him in a body of water. SUPERMOVE — COMBUSTBy sacrificing his range, Hotshot turns his fire inward and bursts into flames. He becomes intangible in this state, letting him squeeze through small openings and escape a hold with ease while leaving behind a nasty burn. From the alley where the trash bin was launched like a shot, two pairs of knuckles were cracked as the source stepped out into the street, her second pair being much larger than her first. Fists raised in the air as a hero in orange stared down her opponent. "How about picking on someone your own size buster?!" As if in response, the mutant pushed the dumpster to the side and roared. So with a growl the hero charged, throwing her first of many punches against the oversized fish.
Someone more familiar to the two would hop down from the building above, running towards them in his signature armour. "Kei! Lili! Are you two alright?" Seeing them drop from the street light like they did made his heart jump to his throat- he couldn't do anything to help them then. But seeing as neither of them were bleeding, Vox could only hope they were well enough to move. He crouched down to speak to them. "Listen to me. The bay has been overrun by creatures like this one. We'll take care of it, so I need you to go back to UAU and stay away from here until this is over. Do you understand?"𝕐 + 𝕐 |

Oh Cheez-its.Mistakes happen on the field. Heroes weren't as infallible as the media - and Vox, really - wished them to be. Not that he was cross with other heroes when they slip- he could forgive them- but his expectations of his own conduct were high. He had to be strict with himself when it came to a Quirk as versatile as his. It granted himself power. It granted others power; power that shouldn't be given willy-nilly. So when he enlarged a wild animal of all things, he thought it to be an error of great proportions. And yet, it was... working?The goose knew exactly what to do with its newfound size. It flew at the crab with gusto, several heads biting at its carapace in ways its previous self was not able to. The crustacean smacked it with a claw but the fowl remained standing instead of knocked away. If this were a movie, a battle between a gargantuan crab and a large multi-headed goose would've been a hell of a premise. But this wasn't a movie. This was real life. Though bystanders were quick to treat it as a feature film, their phones already recording the event. Vox waved his arms at the gathering. "Hello everyone! I understand how exciting this is, but you must vacate the premises! Please prioritize your own safety!" Some grumbles from the crowd but a severed crab leg being thrown on the ground close by was enough to convince them to leave. And so the red hero was delegated to evacuation duty. While he could relinquish the word he bestowed on the bird at any time, he couldn't ignore the benefits of having it take on the mutant. It was looking to fight it either way, so might as well take advantage of that while he could. Man though. What a story to tell the agency later.

As the main battle ensued on, Ryota and Lonewolf had a sort of side hustle going. Hidden brows rose at the rabbit's gnawing, and he raised his finger to face level in surprise. "Ooh! Fiesty one aren't you?" Good thing his getup was still armoured, else his finger would be chewed through with how hard it's going at it. Cupping the bunny in his palm so it wouldn't hurt its back by dangling, Ryota clicked his tongue at Lonewolf's criticism of his demeanour. "Oh come now, you know how persistent they could be. I'm simply matching their energy!" For all the danger they put society in, it wasn't like the graduate was blind to the effort villains put forth in their endeavours. When the other hero suggested what should be done to the rabbit however, the dark-clad "bad guy" moved his hands to cover the bunny's ears, even though it would've heard his plan already. "And I would do no such thing! Cutting giant crab legs in the bay incident was one thing, but I'm not harming a student's companion!" Were their more rabbits joining the fray as he said this? Yes. But until told otherwise Ryota was going to have to assume this was a blood-and-flesh creature in his hands. Though he should really focus on that side hustle, as one student got the drop on them. Or, well, on Mark. "I'd say we're far away from the main fight if anything! Here, this should do the trick."Ryota sped towards the newcomer after Lonewolf's shots were fired, free palm primed to tag him. "Beware, Dynogel, for you're making a mistake messing with us! [SLUGGISH]!"

One more voice piped up in the comms, question spoken amicably despite the circumstances. "I know we're sticking with hero aliases to make all the names easier to remember, but has anyone thought of alternatives for their evil persona? I might go with Pest. Blazing Djinn is so good by the way!" In truth, perhaps he shouldn't be so lighthearted with the exercises what with all the crises that occurred in quick succession. Tokyo had been terrorized as of late and the heroes were succumbing to the effects constantly fighting it off. Despite everything however they were here preparing the students for other challenges they may - no, will - face in the future. That tenacity was why Ryota loved working alongside other heroes. One such hero - wait, villain, he kept getting it mixed up - was in need of his aid! And with the debris coming down thanks to the ever explosive SuperNova, he knew exactly what to do! With his flashy red armour replaced with something more subdued, Ryota blended with his surroundings just a little better, which let him bound towards the student harassing Lone Wolf before deflecting fallen concrete their way. Having successfully pushed them back, he stood proudly by his compatriot despite the pose clashing with his loose attire, hands on his hips as he laughed. "Lone Wolf! I've rid you of the current threat! You need not worry about defending yourself on your own, for I will fight alongside you!"He turned around to face the chaos surrounding them. "Now I'm sure you have some ace up your sleeve to stay away from the action as you are, but we should engage these students eventu-- ohmygodisthatabunny??"Ryota immediately lost his thought to crouch down in front of the creature, voice light in wonder. "Who do you belong to?" He swivelled his head but he saw no one else approach the pair. His focus returned to the rabbit. "Now I do not remember anyone on our side with a rabbit companion, so most likely a student owns you. Meaning we're opponents unfortunately. So! I must disable you, at least temporarily." With a lift of his finger, he aimed to poke the rabbit on its forehead. "[Blind]."

Vox did his best to slice at the oversized crustacean but he couldn't get the same weak spot he found with the first leg, his blade just bouncing off the shell with no effect. He sighed through his nose. Persistence was a common trait in his family, but he couldn't rely on it when time was of the essence. The longer this crab stayed alive, the more lives were at risk of succumbing to its might. And speaking of lives, one other than his own was at risk now if those pitter-patters on the sand were anything to go by. It was the goose from earlier, trying to bite at the monster's legs. With unseen wide eyes the hero ran towards the fowl. "Hey there, it's too dangerous to be here, you need to go!"The crab seemed to notice its targets grouping up and sought the opportunity to end both of them at once by lifting a claw. Yeah, no, Vox wasn't going to let that happen. And seeing how its severed appendage still lay in the field, it was as good an obstacle to trip it as any. "[LARGE]!" was his call as he aimed to place his hand on the loose leg. Except instead of slamming the claw on them, the crab slammed it on the ground, causing the earth to shake. Vox' balance wasn't usually shaken but with a Quirk as reliant on precision as his own, even a slight shift was enough for his hand to not only miss his intended target... ... but to also land on a different one.

There were plenty of rumours going around about the Madlib Hero himself. A few of them were the following. 1. He has a brother who's enrolled in UAU just as he was. 2. He chews jawbreakers like they're crackers. 3. He was to make an appearance at the newly opened Dream World Park to celebrate the Unity Festival. Lo and behold, all three of those were true!But we're focusing on the Unity Festival as that was what's most pertinent. Ryota was gleaming red as he entered the stage - not literally, there was a magic show going on right now so he was just standing level with the guests - and he struck a pose with each word in his catchphrase. "Glory! Grandeur! Greatness!!!" Confetti was popped around him and the crowd he gathered cheered. He raised his arms then. "Welcome all to the Unity Festival! I hope you're enjoying yourselves! Consider me as one of the attractions, for I'm here to provide autographs and pictures with yours truly!" More cheers emanated from the crowd and he couldn't help but laugh as he held his arms straight and waved his hands up and down. "For those interested, please make a single file line! I wouldn't want to miss any of you due to overcrowding!"As he signed the notepad of his first visitor, Ryota couldn't help but think of how amazing an idea this festival was. With the stress of titans having roamed the city, any attempt at soothing the nerves of the populace was a good one in his book. He was glad to be able to take part in that.

Vox didn't do the night shift often. It went against his MO you know? His armour made him a beacon in broad daylight as it is; it was impossible for him to stay hidden even if the situation required it. But sometimes he had to cover for people. If someone more capable of traversing the shadows just happened to call off work because their daughter would've been sick alone at home otherwise - bless them honestly for putting her first - Vox had no problem with stepping up to the plate. He could deal with working outside his comfort zone for their sake. Besides, he did love a challenge. "[GLOWING]!" was the first word that Vox called out as he landed in the alley to chase the final gang member, and his suit flared out with a bright red light, illuminating the area around him as he began his run. "This is the Madlib Hero: Vox! I'm gonna need you to stop eventually before you hurt yourself!" Because that's the thing with dark alleys; many things could lurk in them, and he was sure the last thing either of them needed was to be caught by surprise. Hopefully he could do this fast.

Now as much as Ryota wanted to immediately take the mic for himself, he knew better than to further expose the poor server to his table by letting them bring the drinks there. So instead he patted both hands against the counter in an alternating pattern as he waited. He could carry all the drinks there himself just fine once they were ready. In this waiting period however, a new arrival joined him in the bar and somehow his friends went quiet. Ryota turned to the tall woman as she rather pointedly ordered some vodka from the bartender. She was probably not happy about the sudden noise that entered the otherwise quiet establishment. She also seemed rather familiar. He raised a hand in greeting despite the judging look. "Hi! I hope you're enjoying yourself here." Just as he did so however, several voices reached his ears, most notably his friends as they were released from the snake's stare. "Drinks're ready." "Yo Ryo! Who's that?" "Isn't that Kushiki-" Oh. That's why she seemed familiar. Ryota never sped away with drinks in hand so fast in his life. He placed the tray forcefully on the table, passed everyone their drinks - whiskey, whiskey on rocks for him, mojito, mule, tequila shots in front of each - before shaking two of his friends by the hair to quiet the rushed muttering that flared up. He wished he had another arm to grab the third as well but this would have to do. "Shhshhshshsh! Keep it down will you! I can hear you all the way from the bar!""But she-" "Is released! She's released! And I will not have you all criticize her presence when she is very much allowed to be here!" Okay, so 1 point for Vox, 1 point for giant rampaging crab. If anything he should give himself more points- unlike the creature, he didn't lose any limbs. Though the mutant didn't seem all that disadvantaged once it got used to its missing leg. But that wouldn't be too much of a problem. He just needed to cut down seven more. The hero pushed himself up to a sitting position. He was just about to leap up and return to the fray when the goose from earlier rammed - no, tapped - itself against the crab's hard shell before it crashed landed next to him. Its following honks prompted him to lean back from the multi-headed fowl. What a strange sight. But it only took a glance between crab and crushed beak for him to connect the dots. Vox tilted his head, trying to emanate sympathy through his body language. "A valiant attempt my feathered friend! But unfortunately, I believe you've met your match." He stood and picked up his blade. "I suggest you fly while you still can! This beach is teeming with angry seafood!"With that he left the goose in the dust, running to meet the monster full-force once again. Goose |

Fear was something many would try to stamp down; bury it deep within themselves so they could push through the day while pretending that whatever they faced didn't worry them in the slightest. In a way, Ryota did the same in his hero work; push that anxiety to the back of his mind so seconds weren't wasted debating on the next course of action in a crisis. But in facing the monsters of the deep, he could feel fear coarse through him. Rather than a detriment however, he viewed it as a strength. It reminded him of a time he was too young to protect others from such creatures. It made him not hesitate when slicing a leg off a giant crab with his blade. The crustacean collapsed on one side, balance lost from the uneven number of appendages. It gave Vox a chance to run in and lift a man from the sand, likely having been buried there by his children in what was supposed to be a nice beach day. "Come on now! I think you're dune for the day!" With a pat on the back the man was off, thankfully away from the bay. Vox readied his sword for round two when he heard... honks? In the air? And a whole lot of questions from bystanders who paused in their running to point at the source of the noise. It prompted the hero to turn his head to it as well. And what do you know, that was a goose. Flying straight here. "Huh. You don't see that everyda-"SMACK went the creature's claw against his front and he found himself flying as well, tumbling in the sand before he eventually slid into a stop. His sword embedded itself in a spot that would've been concernedly close to his head if he noticed. As it stood though, all he felt was pain. "Ow."Goose |

Ryota didn't frequent this part of the city for three reasons. 1. It was outside of his patrol route, and since he liked to unwind even if nothing happened in said patrol route (no one should underestimate the exhaustion one gets from staying alert for several hours!), he usually went straight home after instead of venture out in the nightlife. 2. His friends would bring him to a different part of the city instead. Usually for drinks, sometimes for pool, other times to see horror movies that he loved to watch but was terrified of anyway (god that doll's so creepy please hold me - you're literally a hero? - what does that have to do with anything??). No one's actually attacking in the movie theatre so he couldn't be a hero, unless it's to sign the autographs of those who happened to recognize him. Totally different. And 3., perhaps the most tragic of all, was this side of town didn't have karaoke? At least that's what Ryota was told when he asked why they never ventured here. But he also heard through the grapevine that that was no longer the case for at least one bar in the area. So naturally, he had to find out for himself. And drag all his friends to it for all the times they did the reverse to him. Noyote would find itself visited by no less than four new patrons, though it sounded more like ten with how rowdy they were. And they look like they've been bar hopping by the way they held on to each other as they made their way through the door. As designated leader of the pack - and because he's the only one who could still walk in a straight line - Ryota planted them in the nearest booth before heading to the bar. He called for the barkeeper's attention. "Good evening! I hope you can forgive us for our loud entrance." He gestured towards his friends as if it wasn't obvious he was associated with them. "Could I get two whiskeys, one on the rocks, a mojito and a mule for that table? Oh, and four tequila shots!" Four fingers were raised in the air before they curled up, gears turning in his head. "Good, you just got here in time for happy hour. Are you here for the karaoke by any chance?" Ryota suddenly slammed his hand on the bar. "Good man! Sorry- but yes! That's exactly why we're here! Ryota never truly left UAU since he graduated from it. Even though he was a hero full-time, he found himself back at the university for one reason or another. Sometimes it was to help the faculty with the various exercises. Other times it was to pretend to be a villain for the students to fight against. Demonstrating a hero entrance was admittedly a request he'd never gotten before, but flashiness was something he specialized in. So when a student from the management department asked for his assistance with that special course, he was all too happy to oblige. Her voice was in his head now. Telecomms; to ensure he could hear his cue without having the host strain her voice. She was saying her final words, right before he was to come in. Touching two fingers on his scarf, he smiled underneath his mask. Showtime. Vox stood tall on the highest platform as he uttered the first word in his phrase. "GLORY!" He flipped off the platform to land on the next. Another pose was struck. "GRANDEUR!" Second jump, third pose. "GREATNESS!!!" With one final jump and several flips, he let the whirrs direct everyone's attention to his spinning self before landing in front of the crowd with a heavy thud, a gust of wind spread out from his connection to the pavement. One arm on the ground, other arm held back, to show of an iconic hero pose in his entry. Subtle shifts in his form allowed the sun's rays to shine along his armour. "To protect all and do so with absolute ease! That is my goal as a hero!" As the dust settled, he slowly stood up, crossing his arms against his chest as his scarf flowed behind him despite the lack of wind. "I'm Vox, the Madlib Hero, representing the voice of the people!" Vox rested his hands on his waist then, taking on a more relaxed posture. "And that's my introduction!" He gave a nod. "Greetings students! Now, as Zipper has said, I'm simply a guest here. I may give some commentary here and there but she will be the one leading this session." The hero stepped off to the side. "So knock it out of the park everyone! And most of all, have fun!"
