Church swept his gaze over the room as the stalactites dropped, his mind tallying the information as he took it in. From what he had seen in the first few moments he knew two things; his role in this fight, and that one of his allies had a really unfortunate weakness. He was fortunate as it was to have two fighters considering his lack of offensive ability, but he was also aware of how close the balance of power was on both sides... and that was regarding facing only one of these things.

However, the threat of death being as real as it was did little to deter him or make Church pause. If anything, it propelled him forward with a bigger burst of energy as he ran off after the little beetle gunning for the corpse. With one of his allies already being weak to the muppet's attacks, Church wasn't going to risk letting another one evolve, as much as he really wanted to.

In the dash he had a few close calls dodging the stalactites, but reached the bug with only one gash in his arm, an injury that was too common to impede him. Like a cat locked onto a mouse he pounced the moment he reached it, his dagger curving down straight into it's mouth as it tried to eat the corpse with a vicious strike, followed by two more until he was sure it was dead.

His attention returned to the toupee-on-legs just as it began to evolve, it's new form resembling a muppet in Church's perspective. However the smirk of amusement playing across his face at the comparison shifted into a look of surprise as it suddenly said he could leave. For once, Church seemed taken aback. As chaotic as his life was, he had never had an enemy just tell him he could leave, and so he had never considered it a possibility.

That said, as temping as it was to ditch the fight and go see what other amusing things this place held, something had hooked his attention. To Church, their enemy seemed like just the guardian, and the real prize of this fight the crystal beside it containing the eggs. He wondered if that was the last of the linage, or did they always act this desperate with eggs? Either way, his focus was now on the crystal as he passed on the easy out and started to move.

He focused on trying to build up what defenses he had, his suit darkening with insulating liquid as he darted in a wide arc around the creature, watching it as he moved to try and put the crystal between it and himself. There wasn't anything he could do to help the dude getting shot at, so he left that to chance and focused on what he could do.

He was aware he was probably the smallest threat in it's view, which even to him was pretty accurate, but that didn't mean he thought he wouldn't likely pay for what he was about to try. Still, if he damaged the crystal or distracted the creature he would call it a win as he attempted to both get close to the crystal, and use it for cover, as his injured arm swung through the air to try and splash it experimentally with the only thing he had at his disposal he could think of that could damage crystal. If the muppet took his bait, and got close enough, it would get the same treatment.

Church wandered the odd paths with an amused grin, quite enjoying the strange directional phenomena. However as he heard sound echoing from down an alternate branch in his path, he suddenly turned and headed down the other route with little to no hesitation. As always, he let his curiosity guide him as he entered the room filled with intriguing things and took in the carnage.

Almost as soon as he arrived he was suddenly moving, not so much fast as it was accurately, as he dodged the various strange bugs attacking the assembled raiders in a swarm. With a smirk he set to killing a few with his dagger, slowly distancing himself from the other two raiders while remaining near. As the bugs flung themselves at him, he used their own momentum against them as they charged past him straight into his back-handed strikes, and after a moment the wave seemed to quickly peter out around him.

He didn't concern himself with checking for ones left near the others, figuring they'd be fine if even he could kill them, and was instead watching the toupee-on-legs get it's barings further into the room. The assumed Nomu looked like a fuzzy static ball, and he eyed the two horns on it's head with an expression that seemed far more curious than concerned. Clearly it was electrical, and he could guess why it's horns looked like rods.

As it spoke, he casually kicked off his shoes as his black bodysuit took on a glossier wet look. All the while his eyes remained on the creature as he waited for it to make a move. When it did, he immediately bounced in the direction away from the other two, watching from the corner of his eye as one of them took off towards the cave-like ceiling in the same moment. As long as he avoided a direct hit, Church was confident his bodysuit would protect him from any residue shock from proximity. If not, well, he'd figure that out when he got to it.

"Well that fact is a relief, too many Heroes these days act lame as fuck." He grinned as he caught someone giving him a look from the corner of his eye, but he paid the guy no mind. It was true anyway. He had met a few interesting Do-Gooders now, but they were still lost in a sea of fellows with shit personalities. Not that he could claim villains to be any different, but you expected it with them.

As they approached the water gun game, Church eyed it for a moment with a wryly smile before stepping up to the gun beside hers and taking hold of the handles. He doubted he would win, guns weren't really his thing, but who cared?

"Deal.~" As the sound went off he pulled the trigger, and missed entirely. Although he corrected it to hit the target and remain on it after some adjustments, he still lost time at the get go. Regardless, he was smiling and unconcerned, seemingly just enjoying the game regardless of their little bet.

A young man in a white modern-style hakama slipped through the crowds with sprezzatura, his pink & blue eyes giving a relaxed expression as he scanned his surroundings. Although he might have lost his bet, his new cotton-candy themed appearance did give him some breathing room to get out more, for now anyway. That said, what better place to get some fresh air than the Nest of Heroes? Not doing so seemed like a wasted opportunity, and he wondered what little birds could be running about~

However, rather than finding a little bird to pester, one found him as he paused to the side of the path and felt something suddenly brush the back of his neck. Instantly his senses shot to alert-status, but rather than react as one might expect, he seemed to simply enjoy the spike of adrenaline and smiled unconcerned as the girl appeared beside him. However with their rather even height, it wasn't long before his gaze flicked up to her eyes and he immediately felt something wrong.

He blinked as an unsteadiness came over him, and casually leaned back a little to adjust his center of balance against the sudden dizziness, but otherwise acted as if unbothered, his gaze not leaving hers as he smirked at her words.
"Do you whisper sweet nothings to all the boys you run into?"

Church is a lean almost-feminine young man with feathery medium-length white hair and vibrant red eyes. While out to cause mischief, he often wears a tight black/red bodysuit with a hooded white cloak to hide his arms, pared with a silver masquerade mask that covers his eyes with an intricate serpent pattern. Otherwise, he usually wears loose clothing such as baggy hoodies or ripped jeans, mixed with the occasional skimpy outfit. Occasionally, he has been known to dress in a way that leads people to think he is a woman, but usually with the intent of messing with someone or gathering information.

Although she was the one to pick the [i]cotton-candy[/i] theme, Church has since embraced his new color scheme. His right eye is now pink while his left is a light blue, and his hair shifts from white to blue on the right, and white to pink on the left.

While out to cause mischief, he often wears a colorful costume of pinks and purples, styled rather Mad Hatter-eque complete with top hat. Otherwise, he usually wears loose clothing such as baggy hoodies or ripped jeans, mixed with the occasional skimpy outfit.
