Rui was something of a late night villain. She loved the night, it was her favorite time of day. A time when the city really came alive and when committing crimes like pickpocketing, robbery or extortion was a lot easier. However, that meant she was often bored out of her mind during the day. Just wasting away, waiting for night to come. One of her favorite spots to waste away in was ironically a local junkyard. For most people, a place to throw away old stuff, but for her and other delinquents it was a gathering spot. Somewhere to get away from the world, surrounded by things that could be vandalized without a fuss from the authorities.

Sitting atop a scrapped car she played idly with her knife as she thought about what to do next. Rob someone? Fight a hero? She didn't really have the energy to fight today, but maybe... Her glowing eyes honed in on a young woman as they walked by. She quickly put her knife away and stood up on the car. ''Hey, you!!'' Suddenly her head was full of ideas! ''Come with me, I'll show you something really cool!'' She hopped down from the car, fudging her landing as she fell on her face, but quickly recovered paying no mind to her embarrassing fall. ''Come on! You won't regret it!'' She motioned for the woman to follow her. Was she going to listen to a horned stranger?

Rui was loving the little effects too, but the more she watched the more bored she grew. The amusement park was fun, there was plenty to do, plenty to see and she wasn't getting arrested just for existing. Then again, she knew better than to pick fights out here too. The problem wasn't Alexander and his tricks, it was the lack of violence around her. Wasn't there more violent magic tricks around? Like punching someone so hard that they phase through the ground, or sawing someone in half?

Wait... Did she hear that right? Immersive theater? She could help decide what the show was? He had her at 'Come one, come all.' Besides he said for the brave to step forward too, and Rui didn't know anyone braver than her. Except for maybe Sho, but he also didn't have a sense of humor.

She let out a ''Ooooo'' when the flags waved above, and was almost compelled to chase one of the fireflies that flew around. When he asked for volunteers several people spoke out, so she did the only thing she knew how. She shouted louder than most of the others. That way, he couldn't avoid hearing, or seeing her. If she didn't get picked then whatever, she would just get to see someone else get dismembered. ''Me too, me too!'' She stuck up a hand, having to jump on the spot to increase her visibility in the audience that was gathering for a lucid trip. When she noticed one of the other girls volunteering her eyes went wide, the shock painted all over her face as she pointed a red hand at Marlene. ''7/11!!'' She called out, not angry like the last time they met, but more so shocked to see the automaton here.

''Really? With a power like that you could easily go full-time. I'm full-time and I've been arrested more times than I can count!'' She smiled proudly, not realizing herself that it wasn't exactly a flex that she was bad at fleeing a crime scene. ''Let's get you lots of cash! I hate to see my besties out here suffering.'' Unless she was the source of their suffering of course. Not that she would do anything like that to Tomari. The bunny woman was amusing enough that Rui was content to support her, rather than try to hurt her or instigate something for her own entertainment. ''Grab the goods, meet on the roof, sounds easy!!'' She beamed up at her.

With that in mind, she knew to immediately head for the shopping bags so that she had somewhere to stash their winnings seeing as she didn't bring her own sack or bag. Spontaneous as she was, she didn't exactly plan for this. It was much more her style to act on a whim, like asking a complete stranger with a cool quirk to help her rob a candy store blind. Choosing to not draw her knife for now, she instead let Tomari handle the distraction, a bold move, but she expected nothing less from her bestie! Without a word she grabbed a couple of shopping bags off a nearby rack as soon as she entered the candy store and began filling them with candy as she steered towards the register, ready to grab as much cash as she could for her bestie too. Hopefully she wasn't going to get too distracted by her display, as she was morbidly curious how Tomari was going to keep the clerk busy.

She frowned and stared at them for a moment longer before shouting back. ''You didn't say who you are that means I can't trust you!'' It was childish, most people hardly had the time to stand around and chit-chat like they were in an area this dangerous. They could most certainly be concealing some kind of weapon on their person, or worse yet, handcuffs, but none of that stopped Rui from standing up and slowly approaching them while she continued talking. ''That's rude, but maybe you never learned any manners so I'll start, my name is Rui!'' She beamed up with a smile as she said her own name. ''What's yours?'' She raised an eyebrow as she got closer, talking at a much more conversational volume. ''This is where you're supposed to say your name.''

Wait. Were they ignoring her?

She stood on her tippy toes and held a hand up to gently wave in front of their face and somehow still couldn't reach. No reaction though. She looked behind her to see if maybe they had gotten so scared from seeing a monster that they froze. Nothing. It was a puzzle for the ages, but she was fully ready to take advantage. ''I'm a villain.'' She said bluntly, they still weren't moving. ''Where's your wallet?'' She drew her knife and pointed it at them threateningly. ''Gimme, gimme, or I'll make you hurt!'' There was something less fun about trying to rob a person who didn't even react. Not even a mocking laugh and an insult? She pressed the knife up to their midsection. If she pressed it would probably stab her, but she kinda secretly hoped they would wake up any second now.

A loud roar echoed out above them as some kind of winged lion-shark flew overhead. Rather than be startled or scared, Rui withdrew the knife and wildly swung it up at the monster which was far out of reach. ''Back off, this one's mine!!'' She sneered, grabbing Morgana by the wrist as she tried to tug and pull her into an alleyway with her. ''Come on bestie, I can't rob you out in the open!'' She needed proper time to go through every pocket, visible or hidden. Not to mention that fancy-looking tactical bag.

The day of the big heist was finally here. She was going to rob a jewelry store and get filthy rich. She figured that if she couldn't just become the most fearsome villain overnight through brute strength, what was the next best approach? Money! If she was so rich she could buy the whole world she would become more feared and worshipped than anyone else. She would basically become a God! Today she was going to enact the first step of her plan. Enter the jewelry store and look all innocent and civilian-like. Just here to look at earrings and necklaces and nothing else! In reality, she was hiding her knife on her person and would soon take the people near the cash register hostage.

She hadn't noticed that she was being shadowed by a familiar figure. Ravi and her had met briefly during that one ambush. Carrion & Willow were still on her shitlist after that. Maybe she was going to buy up their house and force them to become homeless when she became the richest villain ever. That would be a sufficient amount of revenge for what they had done. She eyed one of the rings through protective glass. It had a big blue gemstone in it and an outrageous price tag she couldn't even pronounce. Why was it so expensive? It was just a blue rock on a ring.

''Miss... Can I help you?'' A man working at the store approached her with an awkward smile on his face. She was blind to it, but this store usually attracted a lot of wealthy customers, something which was apparent in what they wore. All except for Rui who might as well have walked in dressed in dirty rags by comparison. ''Yeah! How much is that?'' She pointed at the ring she had been eyeing, making him read the price tag. ''And that?'' She pointed to another. ''And that?''

''Isn't it? They are really big like my horns, so we have that in common!'' She giggled, not at all bothered by Tomari's attitude. She looked down at the hand as it was extended towards her, turning the pack of cigarettes upside down and giving it a pat, making five cigarettes fall into Tomari's palm. It was all part of her master plan! When you want someone to commit robbery with you, butter them up and bribe them with goods first so that they are more willing to listen to your ridiculous plans.

''Hey, Tomari bestie...'' She stuck a cigarette between her own lips and lit it, then offered to light one for the taller woman. ''See that candy store over there?'' She pointed to a small corner store across the way. ''What do you think?'' She grinned at Tomari, as if she was making a lot of sense with such a vague question. ''I don't see any security guards.'' Then again, why would there be guards around a candy store? ''You look like you could use some money, and I really wanna steal some candy.'' She blew out a small cloud of smoke and looked her new bestie up and down. ''No offense, but you kinda look like the type who hangs around the same places as me.'' She tilted her head up at Tomari. ''Am I wrong? You're not some new hero they hired to go undercover are you?'' She narrowed her eyes at Tomari, trying to read her next response, although truth be told, she hadn't the slightest clue what to even look for. ''You can keep all the money, I just want sweets. You won't even get hurt. Ever heard of Mummy before?''
