''You should pay like I did!'' Growled the vigilante, pulling out a small knife. ''A knife, really?'' She had to admit she was pretty disappointed. Her quirk healed through regular gun shots on the regular, a knife wasn't going to be very effective against her. Although, maybe if he tried stabbing her she could try wrestling it from him... Then a young woman with her arm in a cast started yelling at the man. Better idea. ''Help me! He's mean and also evil!'' Rui cried, kicking her little legs desperately. She didn't recognize the girl who was helping her and she also wasn't very threatening. Not a fellow villain then? She was pretty brave to stand up to a guy like this and what was that white stuff around her arm? A mutation? A weapon perhaps? ''Quick shoot him down! He's gonna kill me!'' She closed her eyes to really sell it, or something like that, she needed to be convincing after all! ''You- this is not!'' The guy started to panic and then suddenly let go of Rui. ''I can't let anyone see my face!'' He muttered, covering his face as he ran away down the street. ''Bestie..'' Her eyes lit up as she looked at Momo, running over to her side eagerly. Given her quirk it was almost impossible for her to stay on her guard. She had seen what Elias could do and it was no doubt impressive, but she hadn't felt it herself and he had also given her no reasons to fear since he had only been nice to her. She smiled at Elias as he addressed her, nodding her head eagerly. ''Is that so? I can demonstrate on anyone, I don't care who it is, bestie.'' So long as he thought her quirk was super cool and awesome and like, the best quirk ever. She kind of tuned out their conversation as they started talking business, her mind wandering at first, but soon she was up from her seat and quietly exploring the office in the background. Maybe her Magic Bestie had one of those secret levers or buttons that revealed even more office, or a secret villain lair. At this point she was just pressing her hands against parts of the wall looking for a secret button when she turned and looked over at Elias and Retsu. She only heard the latter part of his question. Rui was just walking along the quieter streets of Akihabara when some guy suddenly slammed her against the wall and lifted her off the ground, holding her by the throat. ''What are you doing? Lemme go!'' She hissed, not actually afraid of being strangled, but still finding it pretty inconvenient to get attacked out of nowhere. ''I finally found you! You're Mummy, I've been looking for you!'' Said the vigilante. It wasn't until she got a closer look that she recognized his face. ''I.. healed you.'' He slammed his fist into the wall next to her head. ''Try again you psycho, you stabbed me!''''I didn't.''She did. It was a common tactic for a coward like Rui. Ambush people and leave them to slowly bleed out so she could extort and rob them to her heart's content. ''You did! You stabbed me and then you robbed me! I needed that money, man!'' Obviously not more than her, after all extorting people was how she made a living. ''Th-That was payment for the injuries I healed..'' She strained, he was strong, she wasn't sure if she could break out of this grip on her own, at least not until he got a little more tired, but who knew how long that could take. ''YEAH! Injuries you caused!'' He tightened his grip. ''What do you want me to do? I don't have your money.'' She squirmed, trying to think of a way out of this situation. ''Question tiiime.'' She said in a sing-song tone. Rui had been so fortunate to come across a hero and even better, one of those gullible ones who wasn't prepared for her to ambush them. Sure they had retaliated with their quirk, but very few quirks could outright stop someone like herself in a single move. Now here she was, squatting down next to the hero who was laying up against a wall with a stab wound in their abdomen, one hand over it as they slowly breathed in and out, turning more and more pale as they looked up at Rui helplessly. Despite having lost, however, their eyes were still defiant. Something she enjoyed very much. ''How long does it take for a person to bleed out?'' She pointed a finger at the hero, waiting for a response, but nothing came. ''But seriously, you bleed just like the rest of them. It's interesting. You really should reconsider your line of work, bestie, you can't kill or capture anyone with a plant-based quirk like that.'' She wagged her finger back and forth. ''And don't you usually patrol with someone? I see you types in pairs all the time, where's your friend, bestie?'' ''Really? That's so cool!'' She didn't fully understand her answer, but she didn't need to. All that mattered was that her bestie was super smart in her eyes and really good at directions! When they approached the last house Rui was ready to pull out her small knife, just in case something or someone was about to jump them. When the neighbor was startled to see them Rui simply smiled and waved at them. ''A little dusty, but it's a home!'' She agreed with a smile as they entered, coughing into her sleeve as she inhaled some dust on the way in. ''So you think you'll be okay here?'' She looked around, she wanted to help Lylyana get revenge on whoever had wronged her and her family, but even someone as brash as Rui knew it wasn't the right time to ask about that. For now, maybe cleaning the house up and giving Lylyana a place to rest was all they needed. After that they could do as much villainy as they wanted to. ''They only interfere when it's convenient to them.'' She scoffed. ''You have lots of space here.'' She plopped down, sitting in the middle of the living room floor. That's just my bomb bestie, don't worry about her! I recommend...'' She paused for dramatic effect until they were a little closer to the bar. ''Whatever the most expensive drink is! That or juice, one of my besties told me if you drink juice you become really tough!'' She smiled up at Antoine confidently, imparting her wisdom free of charge because she was feeling generous today. ''You should also try their yakitori chicken skewers! ''You disgust me.'' Whytide scoffed at Rui, aiming her palm firmly at her to make sure she could blast her with more water whenever Rui would try to move. ''I'm gonna be famous one day.'' Rui smiled, her eyes lighting up at the thought, completely unbothered by the one-sided beating she had been taking so far. ''And you're gonna be super dead, like soooo dead and I'll have lots of money!''''It feels like I'm fighting an actual child.'' Whytide sighed, suddenly alerted to Retsu's presence when she emerged. She was an experienced hero, already firing a torrent of water towards Retsu, before quickly leaping away to dodge the grenades. Whytide wasn't just some newbie, she had taken down many villains in the past and presumably, so had her partner. What she didn't account for was that fighting Retsu and Rui at the same time was a lot harder than trying to pick off any one of them individually. The second Retsu attacked she also forced the hero's hand, taking her attention away from Rui. While she was still dodging the grenades Retsu threw, Rui had gone in for the kill, stabbing her knife through one of Whytide's hands. Rui had originally aimed for her throat, but even under pressure it seemed like the hero knew to defend her vitals. ''You're screwed now! You can't shoot with that hand anymore, can you?'' Rui grinned smugly, before looking over at Retsu. ''Thank you bestie! Did you kill the other one already?''''You..'' She grimaced, looking at Retsu. ''Bakuretsu!'' She gathered her purple water into the palm of her hand, making a huge ball out of it that she tried to lob at Retsu like a bomb. Perhaps most striking about Rui's appearance are the long horns growing out of her forehead. While those might make her look menacing at a first glance, they are actually a completely harmless mutation that has nothing to do with her quirk. Rui's fashion style can be described in one word. Streetwear. She often wears casual, loose fitting clothes and will very rarely be seen wearing anything fancy unless she absolutely has to.

In her villain attire the vibe Rui aims for is something akin to frayed, witchy robes that match her red tattoos and aesthetic. This wasn't something she did at first, but it came about because of her reputation as ''The Twilight Witch Doctor''. She also wears a pouch with a bunch of random herbs, rocks and other things she picked off the street, which she might offer to you, should she cross your path while you're injured.

So like, my childhood was pretty boring or whatever. I grew up in this super boring mountain village with no parents and like zero fast food joints, like oh my gosh!!! Doesn't that just sound awful to you? The adults at the orphanage always treated me nicely, but the other kids like, hated me because they were so jealous of my horns and kept comparing me to a baby eating Oni from mythology. Like I don't even know if I like eating babies, but like I'm totes more of a ramen girl if you ask me! Anyways! ~ So like the other kids hated me, so I figured I'll hate them back because like, how dare they I'm a queen. At some point this mysterious guy showed up and adopted me, took me to Tokyo- Oh my gosh! Literal savior in the flesh??
Tokyo is like, the coolest and most trendiest place on planet Earth, I'm not sorry that's just like the facts boo! I remained angry and skeptical of everything around me until I met Lili and Umai!! Something about them just like- we totes clicked immediately! I think it's the fact that we all have horns and like horns are the coolest- but that's just me! If you want the full story you'll like have to ask them not me!
At some point I met this guy called Daiki, he was into like, doing super illegal stuff and I'm like oh my gosh is he so hot or what?? Turns out his dad like, owns a gang and is like a super big deal among villains or whatever. Their family name is Kaneko and apparently there are a lot of Kaneko children and like, a lot of them have horns? Anyway so like, Daiki helped get me in touch with some super cool villains and they recognized that my quirk is like, super cool and awesome and like they praised me because I'm also very pretty and everyone loved me! I guess I just sort of started doing villainy and like committing crimes for the fun of it. Along the way I had to break up with Daiki because he got boring and weird or whatever, but like afterwards I'm like... Isn't it crazy useful to pretend to be like, a Kaneko if I can like, scare people from attacking me by doing that? So like I totally started pretending to be related to the Kaneko family, lowkey amazing plan by me. I'm pretty sure I'm the smartest girl in Tokyo.
Anyways so like, remember Lili and Umai? Yeah so we like, just kind of murdered our adoptive father along the way. Like whoopsie! How did that happen? I honestly can't be bothered to remember the details because like, he used to ground me when I stayed out for too long and that's just a major buzzkill, like why are old people always so boring.
These days I make a living roaming the streets of Tokyo at night. If I see someone who like, got in a fight I'll heal them with my powers and then totally extort them for all their money. I did this a lot and like, people were starting to find out what my quirk does, so now if I see like, a guy right? I'll feed him something from my pouch, like a daisy or a pebble and then heal him, so like he thinks the materials is what helped heal him. This got me the villain alias ''The Twilight Witch Doctor'', but like, I just call myself Mummy because I think that's more trendy.

Her skin acts like bandages would and passively heals her, if she unwraps it and touches someone else with it however, she is able to transfer its healing properties to others. This passive healing boosts her Vitality attribute when her quirk is active equal to her quirk rank.
[b]QUIRK DRAWBACKS:[/b] While Rui only heals others when her skin is wrapped around them, she is completely incapable of hurting anyone herself. A kick from Rui will never hurt or do damage, so she has to rely on weapons, such as a knife to do the job for her. When Rui's quirk deactivates, either from quirk overuse, or if someone forces it to, she becomes a completely lifeless doll, unable to move, think or feel anything for the duration. Additionally, her skin will slowly start to unravel if she uses her quirk too much, complicating her recovery process as she only passively heals when all of her skin is covering her skeleton. For this reason, she also cannot heal herself while she is healing someone else.

Rui felt her whole body go numb as it slammed into the side of a building following a torrent of purple water emitted from the hero Whytide. The hero in question, with short hair and an eyepatch radioed for her partner. ''The villain Mummy has been apprehended.'' With a painful gasp Rui's quirk kickstarted its healing, regenerating her injuries and forcing her back up to her feet. The hero seemed unperturbed and continued. ''Have you located Bakuretsu yet? We can't let her slip away, not after...'' She stopped talking when Rui took a step forward, sending her back into the wall with another torrent of water shot from the palm of her hand. She wasn't given a moment to recover as she laid there, dazed, trying to recall why she was even here. Her and Retsu had met up to commit some crimes? To what end? Whose idea was it? They got separated for a couple of minutes and before she knew it, this hero had showed up and started blasting her with her quirk. They probably knew by now that they didn't need to hold back against her, that she was near immortal thanks to her quirk. Still, this hero wasn't aiming to kill her, right? Heroes weren't allowed to do that sorta stuff. Hopefully her Bomb Bestie had run away by now. Heroes were a lot of trouble and if she wasn't going to get a chance to recover then she was probably going to get captured again. She gloated to herself, proud that someone had recognized her before she had gone and thrown out her villain name all casually. So she was becoming a big shot after all, just not as fast as she had originally expected. She gave them both a confused look when they started talking about wood or something. She wasn't entirely sure, but they were using big words and she wasn't going to dwell on it. Instead, she climbed into her seat and looked around the office, taking in every little detail. She looked over at Retsu too as Elias posed his question, turning her head to look between the both of them before she spoke up with a smile. ''You looked lonely, standing up there above the club. I wanted to show you my quirk.'' Simple goals from a simple woman, he was entirely right to not look too deeply into her motivations. Retsu on the other hand, she had mastered business talk and seemed to be after something. She was already a little tipsy, enjoying the atmosphere of the exhibit to the fullest, mainly by ignoring the actual tech and just coming for the food, drinks and fights. See, she always liked watching people fight, but lately she was training to become stronger too, meaning now she could watch others for inspiration and who knew, if someone she liked got maimed she could always bring them back and make another bestie!
