Assuming Rui was smart enough to actually find her way out Sho surmised that she could take care of herself. Aside from these two everyone else in the building was just your average officer. Rui, who may not have been the most capable in a brawl, was definitely at an advantage when it came to attrition. They could riddle her with bullets as much as they liked but it wouldn't stop her advance. The biggest obstacle was getting her to focus on the task at hand and not get into more trouble. She was basically a goldfish.[break][break]

The two at present weren't people he could afford to just let be and support Rui's escape. The student seemed a little out of her depth, but The Gorgon was sufficiently dangerous enough that letting her go meant Rui would be captured nearly instantaneously. Her unusual movements made for a troublesome opponent, even for him. Most people were easy to fight even when using their quirks as they largely used their quirk properties offensively, like the student behind her, or they would try to change the battlefield to suit their own needs. The Gorgon, from his brief interaction, had an atypical body similar to his own, and he, for one, wasn't reckless enough to find out exactly what she could do.[break][break]

Without the lethal option, the plan was now to stall, and as he advanced towards the chains of light, he would catch a glimpse of The Gorgon slipping in between them to position herself between him and Jun. Oddly enough, their crash was only due to the respective clash of those they were protecting, and Sho guessed that if they were meeting in the field without worry of collateral damage, this would have turned into an absolutely bloody fight.[break][break]

With the incoming danger and inspiration from watching The Gorgon use the properties of his abilities to weave through the environment, as his right foot came down to push himself forward, he would instead allow it and the rest of his body to sink into the ground. Using an extra appendage as a lever he would keep the momentum going by swinging himself underground, past the dangers, and clear on the other side of both of them. Without missing a beat he would swing his sword back in their direction in a flurry of attacks, sending small waves of compressed air at the duo.

Exit, exit, exit... WHERE WAS THE EXIT?!

She was running around, gun in hand trying to remember what Sho's instructions were. Part of her wanted to run back and ask him, but she knew he would just get mad at her and she might get captured again, and then he would be even more mad and she didn't want that. ''Window, I'll look for a window.'' She muttered to herself, stopping her run only to look at a big shiny fire alarm button. With a casual smug she grinned. ''Why not?'' Smashing the glass by hitting it with the gun, she set off the fire alarm because loud noises were funny, and then resumed running.

She had really been on a losing streak lately, what was up with that? Was it because she didn't train or workout? It couldn't be, she didn't need to do either of those things because of her quirk. Besides, she would have killed her bestie Jun easily if she wasn't such a cheater and used multiple quirks against her!! It wasn't even fair, heroes never played fair!

When she finally came to a window she immediately broke it and jumped out. It didn't even matter if they were on the second floor, third floor or first floor, it was all the same to her. ''Bye, bye, besties!! I'm leaving now!'' She called out to no one, hoping to vanish into the night for the time being and leaving Sho to escape on his own.

[attr="class","bmsk"] in blackest night... Between the Gorgon putting herself between Gyrfalcon and Gyrfalcon not immediately attacking, Jun felt pretty good about her lines of survival. At least, until she saw him evade everything by going into the ground. Man, that's dumb, she thinks, forcing herself down the hall as quickly as possible. She barely got her arms up to deflect the air blasts, tripping a little as the constructs faded, but now was the time to get as quickly down the hall as possible. She heard gunshots, which meant Rui was creating chaos further down the hall. It also didn't help that things were dark. Taking a breath, she tried to focus on something hopeful, creating a small flashlight as she maneuvered through the precinct, first right then left then right and left, then duck! Hope turned to anger as she thought she found Rui, the lights turning into a hammer to inflict pain only to find two injured officers. "A-are you two okay?" "Do either of us look okay?!" one grunted, his friend getting a tourniquet on his arm to the best of his ability; it looked like a deep stab wound. "Sorry, thought you were the backup. She went that way," he says, pointing Jun down the hall. She took in a breath, nodded and carried on. As she dismissed the hammer and tried to pull on hope again, she paled as she realized she was out of material on her rings... Shō Matsui Rui Matsui Yanai Hebiru

The Gorgon Watches

The moment Gyrfalcon dipped below the surface she pulled her drill appendage back in and angled the thicker one from her lower back to aim straight down. Stabbing it into the floor she intended to both incapacitate her opponent and arrest her own momentum to ensure she remained inbetween Mood Ring and the villain as the former raced by her. Her remaining appendages spread out around her like the branches of a thorn bush, the points aimed in various directions in case his current trajectory was a misdirection and he intended to reappear elsewhere.

Seeing him pop up and immediately fire out a barrage of attacks she assumed her own attack had failed -either due to not stabbing deep enough or him being intangible to more than just concrete- and set to counter his attack. The Gorgon twisted both herself and her appendages to avoid whatever strikes she could, catching the rest on either her appendages or with a counter attack. She flinched minutely when one of the thinner appendages she used to shield herself was severed. Muted as it may be pain was never a pleasant sensation. 

Dangerous. That was the main descriptor that came to mind when she looked at Gyrfalcon. Were it fully up her she'd chase after Mummy and Mood Ring at full speed right this instant but she could not afford to lose track of Gyrfalcon. With his ability to strike unseen and from any angle it would endanger herself and Mood Ring alike far too much. Even so there was no guarantee there were no other people assisting in the escape, in fact, it'd be far more unlikely for there to be only one assailant.

That limited her options and with her persona taken into account meant there was really only one option for her to take. From what little she knew of him Gyrfalcon was unlikely to take any officers that hadn't managed to evacuate far enough yet hostage and given that Mummy was likely to be his priority regardlessly they were likely heading to the same place anyway. Keeping her eyes on him for as long as possible Hebiru retreated towards Mood Ring while keeping her guard up.

She arrived at the location of the police pair just in time to catch the tail end of the conversation. Lowering herself down from her appendages and onto her normal legs she walked over to check their injuries, her thorn-bush defense spreading wider to encompass all three of them. Looking the stab and gunshot wounds over she can't help but think how convenient it would be to have an ability like Mummy's right now. Alas, she must handle the matter with more mundane tools.

Which unfortunately takes more time than The Gorgon has, every moment without her following after Mood Ring increases the odds of Gyrfalcon getting there first.

"Maintain pressure as you've been doing." She instructed the first officer before turning to face the second. "Do not lift your foot nor attempt to remove your shoe. Keep it as still as possible and apply pressure to the top. I will return momentarily."

The stab wound looked relatively easy to patch up but the gunshot would to the other officer's foot was likely to be far more complex. Chances were that it had hit the ground right after piercing the entire way through and shot the resulting fragments back up. Ensuring he could walk again would be a lengthy operation. Recalling her thorn-bush defence once more she used another appendage to rocket through the short distance Junsuina had managed to cover while she was delayed. The fact that the student wasn't manifesting any more constructs solidified her decision, as much as she simply wished to chase after Mummy no matter the cost.

"Mood Ring. Continuing the chase would be too dangerous. Let us return to ensure the safety of the injured agents and assist in keeping the peace until power is restored. It would not do for more criminals to make use of the chaos to flee on our watch."

Each words spoken felt like ash in her mouth. Almost longingly she peered deeper into the dark hall before them. A way to advance her research may still be so close yet due to her own restrictions oh so far...

The Gorgon was by far one of the trickiest opponents he'd faced in the last years. With a significant amount of jobs under his belt Sho had tackled everything from public figures to taking down established Pro Heroes and gain a reputation for his effectiveness. This in itself was usually enough of a deterrent as the idea of a well-known assassin was enough to give anyone pause. Unlike his usual opponents, The Gorgon's odd movements made him feel as though he wasn't even fighting a human, and the addition of the unknown, when it came to her quirk, meant he wasn't willing to overplay his hand here. Ultimately this was an extraction mission and as long as Rui could get out of the building there wasn't any reason to keep the fight going. [break][break]

Based on her own actions it seemed like The Gorgon was as smart as she was tough. She was constantly putting herself between him and the weaker link behind her which ultimately gave Jun enough time to get away. She was out of her depth here regardless so it was the right call for both of them. He would keep his blade steadied, gripping the handle while keeping his wrists in a positon that he could jump into action if needed. The Gorgon was fast even for his standards and seemed pretty comfortable using the three-dimensional space to get around, and yet...she took a step back and then another. His eyes narrowed as he watched her slowly retreat likely to regroup with the student under her protection. There wasn't any need for him to rush; she may have been quick when it came to bounding around spaces, but for him, walls and floors were optional. Even if she decided to pursue Rui to apprehend her, there was no way she would reach her before he did, even at maximum speed.[break][break]

With their confrontation finally ended Sho would once again sink into the ground and make his way out of the facility. With the instructions he gave Rui, combined with her inability for complex thought at times, there was less of an exact extraction point and more of a general area he expected her to be. Pulling himself through the floor and then the walls he would poke his head out and see her laying on the ground, clearly jumping from a height that would severely injure anyone else but her. A shadow would extend and grab her by the head pulling her up to her feet and dragging her towards him "We're going. For the next two days you're staying at home and I will be checking your location. Come on." Seeing as she wasn't injured and the heroes were still dealing with the blackout and any collateral damage Rui caused on her way out, he would slink off into the night.
