Be Our Guests
Michael took a deep breath in and then out as he looked at himself in the mirror. Standing in the dressing room, he looked himself over to make the final adjustments needed. He straightened his tie, only to feel rather constricted in his fine European suit. The black tuxedo felt rather blocky on his (for lack of a better word) inflated body. He deflated himself slightly, letting air out to give a more slender but toned appearance. However, as Michael looked at himself in the mirror this didn’t really help with the fit of his suit. Making an executive decision to seek function more than style, Michael took off and hung up the coat of his tuxedo, unlinked the cuffs, loosened the tie and rolled the sleeves up his forearms. With his thick muscular form the choice gave a very casual take on the elegant butler, but it fit his personality much better and was arguably more appealing. Michael was unaware the number of eyes that beset him as he made his way out of the dressing room and onto the festival cafe floor.
His class had decided to run a Maid/Bulter cafe open to any UAU student or faculty member to participate in. While the main purchases through the cafe would be donated back to the school, tips were another matter. Tips were to be kept by who had earned them, incentivizing volunteers to really give it their all and work as much as they were available. Michael however was already managing a large plate. Agreeing to not only help out with this vendor booth but a few others, all the while seeking to participate in many of the Sport Festival competitions. Still he was thrilled to be of as much assistance as he could muster and this cafe was already proving to be a popular concept. Michael wasn’t sure if he would be of much appeal for the cafe, but he was strong, friendly and agile. He would put his all into the job to help out his class and his university to throw the best event possible.
The wait staff this early in the day was not at full capacity, so Michael went out as a headliner butler for the time being. He didn’t seem to realize that he and the other servers were already drawing in a decently large crowd. Aside from his largely proportioned body in enticingly casual servant’s fashion, his demeanor was even more appealing. His kind and attentive nature and mysterious aura due to his lack of a visible face actually lured several guests to his section. Michael was so happy to see all the satisfied and eager customers he was completely oblivious to the blushes and flirting of his patrons.
Attending to his newest table, Michael gave a gentle bow to the guests present. “Welcome to the UAU Sports Festival Maid and Butler Cafe, where our heroes only mission is to serve. My name is Michael, how may I be of service, masters and mistresses?”
Notes & Tags: TLDR: The Maid/Butler cafe is open to any UAU student or faculty to participate in as a volunteer. You get to keep your tips. You may also just attend the cafe and receive service from any of the willing and available PC servers or NPC server of your choice. Don’t make anyone uncomfortable or you will be thrown out.

Sign up to volunteer at the maid/butler cafe they said... Sadako-sensei, the student counselor had strongly urged Yoko to sign up because of how frequently she had beef with other students. She didn't really see the point of it all, how could working at a cafe make her a better hero? Apparently a good hero had a good attitude and knew how to handle people from all walks of life or whatever. When handling villains it was important to be firm, but she needed to be able to talk to civilians too and in the worst case scenario, calm them down when their lives depended on it. She remembered back to her rescue exercise with Michael and how she shouted orders at the civilians to get them to move rather than trying to put their minds at ease. For some reason Sadako didn't think that was the 'proper hero method'. Which was why she was here now, being unfairly punished by the school for being her own person. When she saw her reflection in the mirror in a maid dress she wanted to tear the whole place down, but Michael convinced her otherwise. If he wasn't there she might have quit heroism altogether. At least suffering was more fun when she did it alongside a friend, although Michael didn't appear to be suffering at all. In fact, he was doing a great job and seemed like a very popular butler. She had to wonder if he actually noticed any of the people flirting with him, or he was too focused on the job. Herself, by complete contrast was almost better at scaring potential customers away. Still, she stood by the entrance and advertised the cafe with a little handmade sign. ''Come have a drink or a snack.'' She rolled her eyes unenthusiastically. She'd rather wait tables. Thankfully her advertising duty was over soon, then someone else would have to pick up from where she left off while she got to interact with the customers. ''If you don't have any money, buzz off.'' She stared at a small group of students around her age, making them take a wide turn around her. ''Excuse me Miss, do you sell water here too?'' A man approached with his young daughter in tow. ''I don't know, why don't you read the signs or go inside and check for yourself.'' She sneered as they walked past her to enter the cafe. If a random villain attack were to happen right now, she dearly wished that she would be the first casualty. Anything to get out of this job. Especially before someone she knew recognized her. | [attr="class","bmsk"] in blackest night... Jun was reading a pamphlet and walking along the stalls, not paying much mind to the world around her. She had finished up her initial challenges and was getting ready to go into the exhibition matches, which for here were going to be interesting! As she moved along, though, she heard a familiar voice, causing her to look up. "...Yoko?" She was a good little distance away, looking the underclassman up and down. Yoko was someone who was rough around the edges, not meant to mince words. She was like Zaya in a lot of respects, except a lot less willing to dress up into something nice. So when she saw her in a maid outfit she could help but snicker a little, putting the pamphlet away. "Oh my gosh, you look so cute!" Despite totally not being attracted to the same gender, she thought the outfit suited her. "I didn't know you were helping with the cafe! I take it you're advertising?" Samaritan, Yanai Yoko, |

When she saw Jun approach she let out a sigh, but she didn't look away. When she got the comment about looking cute Yoko just stared back at her senpai. ''Kill me.'' She said sarcastically. ''Do me a favor and just kill me now.'' A mercy killing from Jun would be so easy with her quirk, although she doubted Jun would actually follow through and do that for her. ''Yeah, kind of looks like that doesn't it.'' She smirked, but from her eyes she was very clearly fuming with rage. ''Table for one?'' She asked, stepping aside so Jun could enter. Assuming Jun had the time for a sit down Yoko would escort her to an empty table, handing the advertising sign to another maid as she took her spot on the 'street'. ''Michael! New customer! I need you here for a sec!'' She raised her voice in his general direction, pointing at Jun as she pulled her chair out for her to sit. She wasn't used to this kind of work and despite knowing Jun she wouldn't mind getting a helping hand from Michael to make sure her senpai didn't run away. ''Would you like a snack? Water, tea, coffee, or perhaps I could gouge your eyes out for you, we offer those services too.'' She joked sarcastically, giving Michael the same smirk she had given Jun earlier. ''I was just asking this... 'fine' customer what she wanted.'' She said to Michael. ''I'd offer memory erasure, but we're fresh out.'' She smirked at Jun. Yoko doubted her own waiting skills, but with Michael here she felt a little more confident. They were like a good cop bad cop duo, except with butlers and maids. Samaritanjunsuina

Hot and Cold
As Michael walked away from a table he finished bringing their order to, he lit up brightly to hear Yoko's voice calling out to him. He beamed to see not only had she brought a customer in but that it was their senpai Jun. He quickly made his way over to the pair as Yoko began listing some unorthodox specials.
"Who could possibly want to gouge their eyes out when they see how adorable you are in uniform, Oniki?~ Michael cooed warmly to his friend. Michael actually liked Yoko's take on the role. Everyone had different tastes, so he was sure there was likely many that would also enjoy her abrasive nature in such a precious package. More to it, Michael liked Yoko just how she was. She was his best friend and it would be weird if she didn't act like herself. Michael turned his attention to Jun and gave a lightly bow in character of his position. "Thank you for coming to dine with us today senpai! I'm certain Yoko-aniki will be able to make you visit a happy one, but I'm happy to assist you in any way."

| [attr="class","bmsk"] in blackest night... In a lot of ways, Jun found this amusing. That said, the vibe she had picked up from Yoko was it was not a good idea to laugh about it openly. That said, the grin she wore told the tale; it was a little funny. Even more, Jun was not one to do this sort of thing, and if Jun wasn't Yoko wasn't, and she wanted to know what happened to land her in this situation. "I have some time between events, I don't mind sitting down for a little bit," she says, stepping into the cafe. Hearing that Michael was here was a little surprising, but at the same time not much. Either he volunteered, or was volunteered and decided not to fight it. "...huh? But I like where my eyes are at," Jun says, touching one of her cheeks. "They're like, a whole asset for me. Also, watching anime and painting models will be so much harder without them." The joke about memory erasure did get a smile out of her. "How far back does it go? A week, a month, five years?"Michael's appearance was not what Jun expected; she thought he'd be in a maid costume, too. "I'm sure! You both seem like you're doing a great job!" She picked up the menu, looking it over. "I'll guess I'll have some water to start?" Samaritan, Yanai Yoko, junsuina, |

''I'm not.'' She frowned at Michael calling her adorable. ''You know, it's infuriating how natural you are at this. Don't you find all this... Embarrassing? Humiliating?'' She was still stuck on the mindset that working the volunteer job here was nothing short of a punishment. ''It doesn't surprise me that's the first thing you would think of, Senpai.'' Jun did have that nerdy vibe about her through and through. Not just watching anime, but painting models too? When Jun smiled at the memory erasure joke she smirked back. ''However long the customer would like. With muscles like mine you can swing a hammer very hard.''She crossed her arms. ''The happiest visit I'm sure.'' She said sarcastically. Jun saying they were both doing a great job was generous, but she'd silently accept the praise in her time of need. Michael was undoubtedly perfect for the role, while she was actively trying to scare customers away. The fact that some even liked her abrasive style had her completely taken aback. Although, as much as she hated that Jun had seen her here today, she also felt a little more at ease that it was someone she knew. ''That's it? Just a water?'' She scribbled it down while glancing over at Michael. Should they try to pressure Jun into buying more? No, no that wasn't the vibe she was getting at all. Either way if anyone could persuade her it was probably Michael. ''One glass of water coming right up.'' She shrugged and walked away, giving them some time to chat. It wasn't until she left the scene briefly that she realized she might have been a bit harsh on Jun. Even if being mean was kind of her brand it kind of felt like she was venting all her frustrations at her poor Senpai. Maybe she should try the patented Michael method.tm, but what could she say to be nicer? Returning to the table with Jun's glass of water she set it down in front of her. ''Drinking water is good, if you keep at it you won't die from dehydration.'' She said flatly, intending for it to be a compliment on Jun's forward thinking in keeping herself hydrated. junsuina, Samaritan,

Service with a "Smile"
"Embarrassing? How could it be embarrassing to make people happy and provide such a beloved service?" Michael beamed joyfully. It was true, Michael had natural customer service energy. This was likely why many of his classmates in high school felt he'd better suited as a game show host or tv personality more than a hero. He would have said more about the joys of serving their community by doing their jobs as helpfully and warmly as possible, but was being called over by a group of girls that had held onto the same table for the past hour...
"Oh, excuse me! I'll be right back!" Michael headed off to go help the party, looking place another long order of individual items that Michael would need to prepare or finish decorating at their table. Oblivious to their lingering motives, Michael was all to happy to serve them. This would take up a decent amount of time for Michael, leaving Yoko to serve Jun solo.

| [attr="class","bmsk"] in blackest night... Jun blinked, letting out a hum. "That method. It doesn't work too well in media...I doubt it's the same in real life. Unless you had a needle and damaged the memory portion of the brain...the hippocotomus I think it was called? Near the middle of the brain..." Her thoughts turned some heads in her direction, one person turning a slight shade of green. Jun looked Michael's way as he went to talk care of another table. Man, those girls looked thirsty! "Yeah, water for now!" Truthfully, it was because everything else would make her jittery. Tea was only good in formal company, and coffee was only for binge-cramming. Plus...she wanted to look at the menu. With Yoko gone, she looked over the options she had. There was cheesecake, which didn't sound too bad. And then there was pie, crepes, oh, and sandwiches, too! All these seemed really good, but what should she choose... When Yoko returned, she looked at the water and blinked. "Well, yeah. Water is super important. You can go a month without eating anything before dying, but you can only operate a week without water. And uh, I've been burning a lot of it off." She paused. "I probably stink, huh?" She raised her menu, letting out another hum. "I'm actually having a hard time deciding what I want. Could you make a few recommendations?" Samaritan, Yanai Yoko, junsuina, |
