Rayder's personality is very different between his daily self, and when he is The Silent Cartographer. In the day, Rayder is a reserved person where he won't usually start a conversation, mainly due to his limitations. However, if someone comes to him and speaks to him, he will happily communicate with them, whether through writing or sign language (whatever the person understands). He is also reserved in the sense that he doesn't share much about his feelings or anything affecting him. Even with his job and talents, the pride and joy he feels comes from the happiness and pleasure it causes others. To the outside world, this makes him look like a very humble man who lives in the now and doesn't let anything get to him where, in reality it's all bottled inside, either releasing these emotions in his vigilante work, it showing in the amount of force or violence he uses, talks to Blaze, or during the day when he can't get away from home or the feelings can't wait, he plays the piano, usually playing certain songs when he's feeling certain ways. David usually picks up on the emotions with the music, but Rayder doesn't always open up with him, always telling his husband he was fine.[/div][div]Rayder is also extremely charitable, helping out any and all who need it, though especially helping the homeless community and donating a lot of fresh cooked food to them, giving them a fraction of the kindness his adopted parents gave him when he was homeless. He also makes sure to always be a good role model to look up to, especially to his daughter. He makes sure to hold all innocent life near and dear to his heart. [/div]
[div]However, when he is in uniform, patrolling the streets as a vigilante, he is a very different man. He still cares for the lives of innocent people, but criminals, specifically criminals who commit crimes that can seriously harm those innocent lives, Rayder doesn't feel remorse harming then in return and leaving them marked with their crimes. The time any grief for what he does is shown is if the criminals loses their life, making sure he is professional. He will get easily angered during these situations, taking this rage out on the criminals. [/div][div]

Rayder was born in the US, where he was given up right at birth, being born mute. He was tossed around the foster care system through his childhood, though making a friend who was named Andrew, but wanted to always be called Blaze by everyone except Rayder. He was also in the system due to him being dubbed a pyromaniac from a young age and commonly causing damage to the foster family’s properties (the reason he wanted to be called Blaze). Rayder’s quirk gave him the ability to walk up walls and blaze was able to put his consciousness into other’s minds, leaving his own body. He did this frequently with Rayder, and it was the only way Rayder could truly communicate with words to him.
Rayder tried anything to find a place in the world, trying many different activities to gain a talent and become desirable by a foster family at last, Blaze helping him through it. Finally, he found his talent for playing the piano. He became a prodigy at a young age. It did help him get taken in, but it always ended the same way with being brought back. Even still, he loved playing the piano, even if it was just for himself and Blaze.
Rayder was constantly bullied, and when he was twelve, he was chased into the street by kids throwing rocks at him, him getting hit by a truck, nearly killing him but causing him to lose a leg, essentially losing his quirk since it only worked on his feet. He became severely depressed and was given up by his current foster home. However, the family that was housing Blaze decided to take him in, mostly due to Blaze insisting. Being close to his dear friend was one of the major things that helped with Rayder's healing and gave him the strength to live without his leg or his quirk. Once they were able to spend as much time as they could together, Rayder and Blaze began to fall in love. Even if they were young, it was a strong love between them. However, when he was fifteen and blaze sixteen, they were caught by their foster parents and were both severely punished. The other foster children in the house shared it with their own friends and the news traveled fast through the school and other families in the community, the two being disgraced and becoming more of outcasts than they already were. The foster family even scheduled Rayder to be returned due to this, blaming him for “corrupting” their family.
Rayder and Blaze tried to keep their connection strong, even with the world tearing them apart. The moment that changed everything was when Rayder went to the top of the school where he and Blaze always hung out, but there were a group of bullies up there. They beat him, tied his wrists against a pole and ripped his shirt off before they carved derogatory terms into his chest, Rayder in agony but unable to scream as they carved those words into his chest. it was then when Blaze came up, getting into a massive fight with the others but being beaten down. They gagged him and they were tying him down when he began struggling to breathe, Blaze having asthma. The bullies freaked out and ran off. Blaze used the last of his strength to touch Rayder’s arm before dying next to him, Rayder losing the only person who ever truly loved him.
After Blaze’s funeral, where he was cremated, Rayder decided to run away. He took Blaze’s ashes, and he ran away to the city. he lived on the streets when blaze finally came out to Rayder, him realizing when he died, his consciousness was bound to Rayder for the rest of his life, bringing him happiness once again. while he lived on the streets, a woman named Octavia found him. She was a victim of torture when she was younger where she was tortured and forced to watch them murder her mother, so she understood his pain. She decided to take him home and welcome him as her son. Her husband was an engineer turned college professor, and her father was a mercenary, and they both trained him, his new father making him a teched up prosthetic leg and multiple devices. His new grandfather understood his anger and trained him to become a vigilante, to release the anger on those who deserved it.
When he became old enough, he moved out and adopted a Dalmatian named Trevor, planning to go to college for culinary, but also to use what he had learned from his family. He, however, met a man named David Lierderson, an artist whose quirk let him be able to change the colour of anything he touched. He began to spend time with him and began to fall in love with David. David also had an infant daughter (he was experimenting with his sexuality and got someone pregnant, who abandoned her with him) who was completely deaf, so he felt a bond. The four became a whole family, him adopting the girl as his own daughter and marrying David, Blaze approving of the whole thing and even calling their daughter his own. He got his degree, became a head chef, moved to Japan, and became a loved part of their community.
However, Blaze began to talk to him about bringing justice, like his family told him about. Rayder knew he had to help others, and his father and grandfather sent him everything needed, including a costume and tech that would assist him. However, the most important piece of equipment he received was an upgraded prosthetic leg which could be used to walk on walls, essentially giving him use of his quirk once more.With all this, he hit the streets to do what he knew he had to. But during his first "hit", he took down the person, knocking them down after they beat up a woman and robbed her. Just staring at the unconscious man and with the influence of Blaze, he knew this man couldn’t just be left with no warning. Then he thought of his scars. He got scars of horrible things while he was innocent of any crime. So, in his mind, he decided to mark the guilty with their crimes. He carved the man’s crime deeply into his chest to brand him a criminal. It became his mark on the world of crime, leaving these criminals having to face their crimes every time they looked in the mirror and saw those marks.
He was dubbed the "Silent Cartographer" for never making a single sound during his crimes and leaving them marked with what they did. He did this at night, hidden by the shadows and his husband and daughter never suspecting a thing. During the day, he is beloved by all who are around him. At night, he cleans the streets and taking down those who deserve it, making sure the true criminals are marked, all while being accompanied by the remaining part of his first and dearest friend.

When going up the walls, the grip of the quirk will weaken as the distance increases, almost like a weakening adhesive overtime. Chan has long been described as someone who could be great if he better applied himself. A gifted child since he was young he gained an inflated sense of his abilities early in life that has carried with him ever since. He is a consistent procrastinator primarily due to his constant self evaluation telling him that whatever he's pushing off will be easy to complete later. Not helping matters is that he often finds this to be the case. He's incredibly smart in his academic work which has allowed him to coast through most of his childhood.
This overconfidence will often express itself as pure cockiness. He thinks he's better than most people when it comes to the things he has an interest in such as math and science. He's rarely if ever the type to ask for help, preferring to fail on his own rather than succeed as a group. This comes, in large part, due to an inherit distrust he has towards others.

On first glance Chan is a rather unassuming nerdy kid. He stands a fairly average height and no really discernible markings on him. He has bright pink eyes the same shade as his hair. Hair which he keeps fairly short for the most part except for a long braid he keeps on the left side of his face. He does have a well defined musculature system. He also regularly paints his nails a variety of bright colors. On top of that he has both of his ears pierced, normally wearing a pair of diamond studs.
Chan's regular clothing is commonly made up of rather flashy street attire. He likes wearing designer brands and bright colors. He as a special affinity for expensive sneakers, owning over a hundred distinct pairs of sneakers ranging from 8000 to 10000000 Yen. He also has a habit of combining traditional Chinese clothing with his street fashion, some of his favorites being his sleeveless, crop-top Changshan.

Zhu Chan Juan was born to two parents who had absolutely no business raising a child. Wether luckily or not, they realized that and abandoned the young boy when he was no more than 5 months old. Bounced from foster home to foster home for most of his youth he rarely had time to make real friends. Instead the young boy buried his nose in books as soon as he could read. This served to benefit the boy as he fell in love with science from a young age. Even while constantly shifting his living situation he kept a high interest in academics and learned a lot from a young age.
His grades in school never seemed to reflect his actual knowledge, and many of his teachers could tell that. He was more likely to get an incomplete than he was an F, as when he did finish his work he had some of the best marks in his class every year. It was when Chan was 12 that his intelligence was noticed by less than reputable agents. A group of his peers that were involved with one of the local gangs saw Chan has a great opportunity to do much more than they had. Chan was simply excited to have a group of friends, regardless of what they were asking him to do.
Chan was incredibly well versed in computers by this point in his life, and was a better hacker than any of the adults in this gang. The young boy was used to infiltrate buildings, disable security systems, and hack city infrastructure to assist in getaways. Chan was in an environment where people seemed to actually care about him. He would hang out with them after their criminal acts, he'd play video games with them, it was like he finally had a family to call his own.
Until one night when he was 15.
Everything was going wrong. It was like the place they were breaking into was ready for him specifically. Viruses that he had crafted solely on his own where countered with such precision that it had to be a trap. It was. The money and tech they were there to steal had never been there in the first place, the police just knew it would be too enticing for the gang to avoid. When fleeing, the gang left Chan behind, seeing him as expendable. Chan was arrested. More importantly to him, however, he was betrayed.
He was lucky in that the judge saw him as just a lost kid who had been taken advantage of. But that didn't change that he had stolen a lot over the past few years. Still, he was given a light sentence of two years in jail. A year into his sentence however, he was given an option. Get out early if he was willing to work for the government and become an "ethical hacker". Chan hated the idea of working for the cops, but he loved the idea of leaving jail early, and so he spent the remainder of his sentence working for the cops, helping to take down the very gang he used to work with.
Working for the government was not entirely for him though, and staying in Shanghai now that his old friends wanted him dead didn't seem like a good idea either. Using the connections he had gained working for the government, he managed to get some glowing recommendations sent to UAU, and was given an offer to join the school. As such, having only recently turned 18 the boy would move to Japan and join the support department of the prestigious university.

[/b]Electro-Stasis is, simply, the ability of Chan to manipulate the electrostatic force that his own body emits. All objects have some level of static electricity; Chan's quirk allows for him to temporarily modify his own electrostatic field to cling to whatever surface he choices in the same way a balloon clings to a wall. While the forces governing this are the same as a balloon, Chan's quirk allows him to make that force incredibly strong. To the point that he can stand upside down on the ceiling or stand on top of a moving vehicle without having to worry about. being thrown off. Chan Juan can't manipulate the electrostatic field of others, meaning that his quirk only allows him to stick to things, not stick other things together.
The secondary element of the quirk is a large boost to Chan's Awareness. The constant manipulation of the static force of his body has led to his mind being able to track his electromagnetic field. Being that his quirk as allowed for him to manipulate that force he can also manipulate how strong this situational awareness is. In a passive environment his mind can react to things entering the space up to a foot around him. This means that he can sense when a punch or projectile is coming from behind him. This does not affect his actual speed of reaction, it just means that he will notice it. While the quirk itself does not give him boosted awareness, this nature of his quirk as made him push far more energy into his personal awareness.
[b]QUIRK DRAWBACKS:
[/b]One of the issues caused by Electro-Stasis comes from its use to consistently change the angles he is standing at. He's not affecting his gravitational field; he's just using static to stick to surfaces, meaning that he can have consistent issues with blood rushing to his head when he's upside down or sideways. There's also the issue of where the electrostatic discharge of his quirk goes. Static is an electric charge, after all, and charging it to the point that Chan does puts a lot of potential energy into an electric charge, which his body distributes internally. This causes damage and fatigue over time. This doesn't cause too much injury unless using the quirk for a long period of time, instead just causing chronic pain in his muscles.
The sensory gift of his quirk also comes with an incredible downside, as it doesn't fully discern between something that's dangerous and something that's pointless. A fly entering his space would trigger his senses the same way a bullet would. The only difference is how fast it's moving. This causes quite severe anxiety issues at times.

Born as the second child of a then up and rising hero, Yuuma Kouji, Nadeshiko would often have found herself as a hot topic of discussion amongst the adults at the table - They had said it had been by her mother’s grace that she was part of the family, that her mother had grovelled at the feet of the man she knew as her father. They had said it had been by her father’s grace that she was where she was, that her father had in return sworn her mother to secrecy and banned her from establishing future contact with his family.[break][break]

From young, it had always been clear that she was in no way similar to her family. Pictures and portraits scattered about the Japanese-style mansion; None of the physical traits she displayed were shared by either parent, save for the dark yellow irises that she so shared with her father. Surely, it would have been awkward for the father to have explained the vast differences between child and parents, given that her older sibling had been a near carbon copy of his mother.[break][break]
A young father, a hero quickly rising through the ranks of veterans and making a name for himself amongst the top stars of the country - Tales of his goodwill could have spread but oh, the gossip that could have arisen must have been such a factor of fear for the man. And oh, how Mistress Fate must have condemned his actions that Nadeshiko would have inherited a quirk so wildly different from his own; He could not have passed it off as a mere variation. Paranoia would have taken roots with ease. With a quick tugging of strings and drawing upon of connections, Nadeshiko would have become the sickly daughter of famed hero specialist, Yuuma Kouji; a quirkless child who had to be sheltered for the sake of keeping her safe from villains seeking vengeance.[break][break]
Solitary would have been her bane - Stress built upon her barely-shaped mentality, breakdowns occurred more often than one would have expected, and yet the minor catastrophes would have been kept out of sight. Though kept relatively silent with bribes of stuffed toys, drawing papers and books, Nadeshiko would have spoken to her reflection more times than anyone could have counted, written herself letters as reminders of the things she had to do each day, stared out the window in hopes that someone would have appeared there and seen her. Whispers remained behind closed doors, people remained outside her confines of a room and the hopes that someone would have realised her existence lay painted upon the frames of that wooden door.[break][break]
Her quirk would have been assumed to be the root cause of her problems. As long as it didn’t show, she could have had a chance at pretending her way through situations that would put her father on the spot. As long as she played the part of a perfect daughter that Yuuma had fabricated, she wouldn’t have to stay in that room.[break][break]
But that door would remain shut.[break][break]
Of course, her father’s influence would have ensured that whatever was not willed by him would never happen. At least, until the public started questioning just what happened of her. Was it someone who knew of her existence beyond these walls? Or was it someone trying to nurture doubt against the nature of this rising hero? With society beginning to exert its weight against him, Yuuma would be forced to think of the unwanted child's future.[break][break]
And so, the little bird would be allowed a brief glimpse of the outside world, put on display at social gatherings if only for a few minutes or begrudgingly taken around by her older half-brother under the pretext of being kept safe. Soon enough, she'd be gathering the courage to ask for more: to go to the libraries, to walk in parks, to attend school like all other kids of her age did.[break][break]

Its power can only be drawn upon by her experiencing strong bouts of negative emotions such as fear or stress. This makes her a hazard to anyone, especially herself as she is unable to escape from the effective range of her own quirk.
