| Makitori Hebi | @winding.snake.nāga Location: UA's STAR, Tokyo, Japan. | Current Status: In class, dhmu. Now Playing: grandson - Blood // Water (2/2) A lot was happening. One thing after another. She'd have loved to respond to the joint praise, but that was made hard by the sudden sensory input of fog and screaming. Through it, she was able to hear Rahul's questions. "Looks like it. I'm fine, but... Fuck, where is he?" Honed as her body was, Hebi's senses were (on average) only as sharp as the average person's. The doors opened somewhere, accompanied by boots on the ground and a loud extractor fan. She'd been somewhere that sounded like this before, felt like this too, but couldn't put her finger on it. She didn't want to know. Didn't want to remember. From within the cold fog that had crept now into Hebi's mind and body, something bright and warm rose. Gen. Or at least she recalled that being his name. The hazy silhouette of his figure solidified as the fog cleared, leaving no ambiguity. He did this. Sure, they were training. Sure, part of this whole exercise was growing stronger and that required a target. But this wasn't target practice. This wasn't subduing, or battle. This was torture, it had to be.
Hebi was in a room full of people she didn't know. With the exception of Mood Ring, she'd never met a single person in here before. She was not 'friends' with Kei, nor an 'enemy' of Gen, lacking the personal stake in this of her red-haired upperclassman. None of that mattered. This was simple, unmistakeable malice. Nagako didn't want to get involved, said to turn the other cheek. Hebi cared very strongly about injustice, said to right this wrong. Nāga wanted 'All For One' to pay. She moved, though slower than Jun, that fire in her veins burning hotter and hotter until...
(Hissing like cold water in a hot pan.)
Nothing. She felt... nothing? Thought and emotion stalled, robbed of forward momentum that had been the only driving force. Somewhere between blissful content and excruciating brain freeze. Her fire was extinguished. One by one, senses returned. Clear of fog, Hebi could see people standing in a room. Things were tinged in purple, but Hebi found that nothing but pretty. The clamour of medical attention and dulcet tones saying something reassuring went in one ear and out the other. 'What are they saying? Why am I daydreaming?' Scent and taste merged into one for the most part, a metallic mixture of her own blood and jet fuel. Her tongue didn't probe the air for anything else, as it often did. 'Blood? Fire? Am I in danger?' Hebi's tactile sense told her that there was a constant pressure over her body, restricting movement. She was being restrained. Constricted. She couldn't bring herself to care about it. 'Why aren't I struggling? Have I given up?'
The cold advanced on her once more. Stripped of her passion, the fire that kept her going, she was defenseless as it lulled her to sleep. Comfortable oblivion. A quiet death, for a snake. 'NO!' The subconscious tried to stir something, as eyelids fell and the body started to lean back against its support. 'This isn't right!' Emotions crushed before they could grow by overwhelming calm. Generator potentials, struggling to pass the threshold and become action. 'Fight!' Muscles tense. 'Fight!' Eyes snap open. 'Fight!' Summoning something below feeling, Hebi bites down on the purple whip. A second later, she releases, the closed loop only creating feedback. But she achieved what she wanted. A red-hot core of anger crystallised deep within, protecting her for now but unable to radiate outward. Hebi struggles against the restraint, though is still when the calming presence releases her. Catching Stellar's eyes, she could see fleeting wariness and fear where admiration had been seconds before. She had escaped that place, ten years ago. The place where she was restrained and sedated, made to see pretty colours and feel fuzzy when she acted up. She was never going back there.
Having fully come to her senses now, Hebi found that Kei, Gen, and Jun had left. Her partner 'Playboy' and 'Accelerator' were soon to leave as well. Had she and Rahul even exchanged contact info? No, shit. Well, there was always next time. Here's hoping they had another class together. She'd have to summon the courage to talk to her senpai some other time, too. None of this displeasure shone through, cracked stone face regaining its form. Taking a couple deep breaths, Hebi went over to her bag. "Is there another group in here next period, sensei?" She addressed Stellar without turning her head, pulling out a small tupperware container. Then, she approached the teacher. "If not, I'm going to take a break and get back to training some fundamentals." She opened the container, tongue lifting something dark brown into her mouth before she held a similar thing out to the older hero (with her hand). "Want one?" If Stellar accepted the offer, she'd discover it to be a chocolate-covered cricket.

| Makitori Hebi | @winding.snake.nāga Location: UA's STAR, Tokyo, Japan. | Current Status: In class, dhmu. Now Playing: Pagan Fury - Stormbringer If Stellar's unexpected praise had stunned her, the headpat damn near crashed Hebi's software. Shortly after her cool 'Plus Ultra' moment, Stellar would see/feel her noticeably relax (see: melt) before catching herself a couple seconds later and standing up straight. Perhaps too quickly for subtlety, she broke contact. 'Wow, am I really that touch-starved? I moved out of Hoshino's place like 2 months ago!' Whether through her own continued desire to improve this new technique, or through a re-surfacing urge to seek positive reinforcement where she could get it, she tried Scalestorm again and again. One rabbit, two, four, eight! Past the point where she could even hit them all, let alone break them. The cheering felt good, it was easy to forget what more public heroes got that her preferred path avoided. "Thank you, Stellar-sensei." Once again, she was glad that of all things her voice was easy to keep steady.
Scale after scale collided with rabbit after rabbit. Predator and prey, the roles branded on us from the moment we were born — only for humanity to do what it did best and punish conformation to the labels it assigned. If quirks were anything, were they rebellion or the authority rebelled against? Freedom transcending borders, or just another way to divide us? If two cages lie on either side of a pasture, the harsh definition of the inhuman and the strict pressure of the human, does freedom truly lie in the middle? Or are the fences just invisible until you push against them?
Seems Rahul was happy enough with his own progress to put a name to it, too. Alas, better on the first try than hers. For some reason it felt easier to talk shop with Rahul, like he really got it. He'd accompanied her on today's journey, after all. Been as much of a guide as Stellar had. "For sure, it's helpful to have an option when emitters try to out-range me. Lapin Lazuli has insane defensive and offensive potential, too." She took a pause, breathing heavily. This wasn't the first time she'd been invited to train with someone, but it was the first time it felt like they'd meant it. Hebi nodded 'yes' to the proposition. "Good idea. I could maybe help with some of your more offensive techniques, I'd intended to work on my defenses today." The slightest open smile was visible, before suddenly nothing was.

| Makitori Hebi | @winding.snake.nāga Location: UA's STAR, Tokyo, Japan. | Current Status: In class, dhmu. Now Playing: Megami33 - Blizzard Tunnel-visioned on her own epiphany, Hebi had so far failed to notice just what Rahul was focused on each time the rabbits broke. Red blood staining black carbon, over and over. Red, black, red, black, red... blue? Blue! This next one was blue! It was the easiest thing in the world to fall into a pattern. To stall and stagnate while convincing yourself of progress. She hadn't progressed since the breakthrough, nothing new to show for herself. But Rahul was growing. Changing. The lapin lazuli didn't shatter this time, only cracking on impact as Hebi's bullet sent it flying a small distance across the room. Already feeding into her instincts, she saw red and bolted for the fallen thing shaped like prey-
No! A faint sibilant sound choked itself in her throat, like the hiss of a spray bottle. 'Bad girl!' Tears welled, but refused to fall. "Stop it! You're scaring me, Nagako!"
-but she didn't make it far past Rahul before sharply stopping herself. Breathe in......and out. ('Rein it back, just a step.') Calm, quiet, and okay. She's okay, the show goes on. Red streaks stain the white of her tail, thicker and darker than the lines that normally snake her body. The same red dots the ground in a radius like a filtered spotlight, mixed with black dust. "Nice. You got it." Hebi gave Rahul a thumbs-up, accompanied by the best closed-mouth smile she could force. She returned to a few steps behind her former position, just in time to be spooked by Stellar's unexpected praise. Already repressing her impulses, she turned quickly to face the hero.
"Wh-huh? Oh, thanks~" was about all she could manage initially. But even accepting the kind words, Hebi struggled to process them. Amazing? Her? Had she really accomplished anything worthy of that today? The next comment was more pressing though. Stun-locked by the emotional whiplash and not wanting to seem ungrateful to Stellar in the moment, Hebi raced to think of a name. (Quick, something cool, something cool!) "Uh- uhh- Scale Shot!" (Really? That's the best you got?) She didn't quite recover from the fumble before Stellar moved on. Actualisation. 'Putting everything together'. Clearly the instructor thought Hebi was ready for this, so what did she have so far?- Inspiration. Stellar had given her that.
- Understanding. She had some new questions to answer, but knew her Quirk intimately.
- Feeling? There was a lot she'd have to work on, but her feelings were not hard to stoke.
- Scope? Surely, right? She could make the bullet and launch it, what more was...
What more was there to it?! One tiny attack? She was after a super move, not just another tool in her toolkit. Not some basic defensive stance, not a ranged option, a super move!
Pushing backward off the ground in a rush of thoughtless inspiration, Hebi spun in the air to face Rahul again. Her tail swept across in an arc in front of the smaller body. She understood it well, that focusing the force into one point on her muscular limb was energy-efficient, but not the strongest she could make with a constrictor's tail. She could repeat it again and again in battle, but then why not throw stones? A feeling flared, shouted that this wasn't enough.
Hebi instead flexed her tail at many points along its length, dislodging a couple dozen shining scales. Gods, that hurt! This pain only served to focus her in this moment though, eyes sharpening like a scope. 10 feet of white and red shot forward as the tail relaxed, and then was flexed in a wave out towards the tip. Hebi hadn't thought to check if Rahul was ready or expecting the move, only considering that if he was, then she would hit that blue bunny with all she had. A barrage of bloody 'bullets' banked along one bearing in the air, just begging to bore into the brick-hard beast. To break it.
This was Makitori Hebi's first step towards actualisation. This was no mere shot, it was a "Scalestorm! I- I... think I prefer Scalestorm." It was by no means perfect yet, but hey! That's what practice is for.
tl;dr - Yo this girl's kinda weird lmao - Nice :) 𝐏𝐥𝐚𝐲𝐛𝐨𝐲 - Fumbling her words Stellar - Scale Shot X- Coming for the king, better not catch him lacking note: she pauses for a moment in thought, then turns and fires at Rahul as described - Scalestorm ✔Julienne Lémieux Kei Hada junsuina Kurokami Gen

In her introspection, Hebi's focus and fervour had coalesced into a single point. Dense and hot, a singularity. Entropy acts, prompting a reverse in direction. An explosion of ideas flooded her mind. She had to act, to move, to- "Got it." Before she could think, her tail whipped out full-force at the reinforced rabbit. It separated at the neck, before crumbling as it had before. "Concrete progress... Again." Now it was her turn to make the command, exhilerated by the feeling of potential. Ingenuity. If she hadn't been chasing this feeling, the ingenuity comment would've bothered her. Humans aren't special in any one way. Many animals are ingenious, many inventive. Even spiders and snakes lay traps. Humans are intelligent, social, omnivorous hunters adapted well for throwing and distance-running, it's only by sharing knowledge that we transcend that.
Synthesis. Ignoring the desire to be combative, to correct authority when told what she is or is not, Hebi followed the train of thought. Intelligent hunters. Adapted for throwing... that's it! She connected to the earlier advice. She could not shed her skin on command, but maybe she could dislodge a scale? In every major fight so far, it had been almost instinctual to throw nearby rocks or debris at enemies when forced into range. Hell, she threw that loud dragon guy into the Tortured. But that was slow, and circumstantial. If she could make projectiles, and launch them with her strength and precision, they'd be deadly. Fuck, this was gonna hurt.
If Rahul indulged her, making another bunny, the initial wind-up would look much the same. She reeled back, tail curled at its tip. Then, focusing her strength into a tiny whipcrack at this edge, she managed to rip a scale from its place in her tail's flesh. Almost fallen clean off, this loose scale clinged onto the smallest thread of sinew. Then, suddenly, Hebi's largest limb rushed forward. The scale flew towards its target, accompanied by a small spurt of blood. Impact. While not quite as forceful as an actual strike, the smaller projectile had almost the power of a bullet. Before she could make any remark on this feat, though, a very loud noise threw off any train of thought. Hebi recoiled, hissing as loudly as Kei screamed. Instinctively her tail came up in front to shield the body. Huh... 'If that comes naturally, then I can focus on it later. This new idea is more exciting.' Exciting? Is that her motivation here? She needed to know...
...Because feeling was the next part. Could she tap into that passion, that underlying energy and alertness her Quirk granted, without losing control? Let herself be excited, ferocious, and feral; still be patient, calm, and human? Another thought crossed her mind. There most likely wouldn't be time to focus on more than one goal here, but there was a feeling to chase. The one she'd kept locked deep in her subconscious for years. She'd have to let herself be herself soon. See just how deep the rabbit hole can go. Did she have a name for any of this yet? No, but she was sure the ideas would come soon. Naming her moves had never really appealed to her before. Must the snake name its fangs? Must the craftsman name her tools? Would this really help? Sure that the threat of jet impact had passed, Hebi turned back to Rahul with a new fire and hunger in her eyes. She couldn't help baring fangs, with her mouth open in wonder. She took the same active stance as the other two times. "You good to keep going?"
tl;dr - Again. 𝐏𝐥𝐚𝐲𝐛𝐨𝐲 - A painful breakthrough, Scale Bullet time! Stellar - *Angry snek noises* Julienne Lémieux - Fired up. Other: Kei Hada junsuina Kurokami Gen

'Just stay put' came the command, prompting an (unseen) scowling nod from Hebi. Of course, where was she gonna go immobilised like this? "Understood." was all that was heard in reply. As the younger serpent took a deep breath, she managed to start bringing her twitching tail back under control. Not at all full-strength yet, but she could at least move it, now. So, what could she do to help? The wall blocked her direct line of sight, but that didn't matter much when Hebi could comfortably lift herself 10 ft in the air. Without moving, without closing that distance, what else was in her toolkit? Candy-red eyes scanned their surroundings, settling on the debris lining the alley from the earlier explosion. Throwing. Both strong and precise, Hebi excelled at launching objects.
Nāga could see the cracks starting to form in her ally's hold. Just as a chunk of mercury exploded from the man's body, a large chunk of stone would impact the exposed area at great speed. Then another, and another. With the accuracy and force of a baseball pitcher, any suitably large or sharp pieces of debris were launched over and around the quicksilver wall at each new patch of bare skin. Hopefully, this would discourage/prevent the man from so quickly breaking apart his captor. Again, in Hebi's mind as she drew another line of parallels between this fight and the one against The Tortured, pangs of familiarity repeatedly hit her. She was sure that this woman and herself had met before, and surely it was in that context? Keeping her deadpan tone, Hebi spoke up. "I'll be back up in a moment. With an opening, I'm certain I can end this very quickly." She didn't plan to kill this enemy, feeling it a bit early in her career to be building up a casualty list, but her word choice certainly didn't convey this intent for mercy.

| Makitori Hebi | @winding.snake.nāga Location: UA's STAR, Tokyo, Japan. | Current Status: In class, dhmu. Now Playing: MARINA - Venus Fly Trap As Stellar began to talk, Hebi couldn't help but listen. She demanded attention without breaking the flow of conversation, quite the skill to have. The compliments were certainly appreciated, though Hebi thanked her lack of ability to passively show that. Talking about ideas was valuable. Vital. It helped get her head in the game, despite earlier distractions. And they were distractions, avoidable if she'd had better self-control. Literally lashing out and rising to taunting in those ways was not a good look. Unnecessary agression. No room to berate herself about that now, though. Stellar's 3 moves each gave Hebi different notes of inspiration, together striking a chord. Each in turn highlighted just how different the natures of their Quirks were from eachother, though.
Whip-like motion was her forté, but as flexible as her longest limb was, she could not simply stretch it. Vertebrae would only extend so far before snapping, and that was not an injury she planned to force. So then, what part was applicable? Trade-off. Trading strength for reach, efficacy for flexibility. Precision for raw force? Mobility for defence... or maybe she had that backwards in her head?
The second message did not so much inspire Hebi as its motion. Coiling tight, like a spring. It was second nature to her, that storing of potential energy to lie in wait. So what separated her motion from the movement of this shooting star? Force. Rather than an explosion of realized potential, hers creeped forwards into steady motion. Slow. Slow! But that was what she was, right? What she'd always been. Could she fully change, become something she'd never pictured? Could she rebuild her self-image, if it were to be shattered today? Stellar spoke that answer silently, just for her to hear. Yes.
The third move inspired her in neither function nor form, just feel. Emotional regulation was also key to her Quirk, right? Hebi held a strong, blood-red passion deep within, core to her being. In combat, she teased at the edge of her killer instinct to fight without fear. What would she find if she pushed closer to that boundary? What would she find if she crossed it? Was there a white sand island of clarity there, deep within the red ocean that stained its beaches? If she fed into her own feedback loop, was there greater control than repressing it? Making herself an extension of her Quirk, not vice-versa.
The jubilant hero's next words, after pairing her with Rahul, only furthered this storm of questions begging for answers. 'Lean into your instincts...natural predator.' Clear as day. Normally, someone talking like that to Hebi would insire rage. It pushed against the human core that was so, so used to being ostracised and othered. But here? Now? She couldn't summon anger, nor indignation. Because Stellar did not speak with hatred. She spoke with admiration. An invitation to let loose, not a warning or command. Passion, the first note. 'If snakes can shed their skin, you should do the same...turn it into a powerful tool.' Did she mean that literally? Hebi sheds her skin, yes, but it was nowhere near time for that. No, find another angle. Trade-off, play the second note. While she could withdraw into a shell, how well did that work out for The Tortured under fire?
Hebi... gets it. Super moves aren't just another weapon in a hero's arsenal, no. Not simply a stance you take, that's not super. Super moves push the limits of a hero's power, until they find out where the real limit is. Hebi was missing that third note, that last hint to connect Stellar's prompt to her intent, but that didn't matter for now. Whatever that missing piece, she'd find it. Act. She had to. Hebi's mind was flooded with new inspiration, a new light on her old one. It wasn't the Tortured's desperate flailing for life that struck her so hard. It was her own. 'No more musing.' Was all she could think, as she moved off with Rahul to their space in STAR. Time for discovery.
Listening in, the little Rahul said didn't make much sense on its own, but it was at least clear he shared her tendency for saying the minimum. Unfamiliar with his Quirk, she had no idea what would be a stupid question. "Can you change their size? Even their colour might help with conscious fine control." Might as well shoot a shot, worst case is a miss. Rahul's question was heard loud & clear, though. Was she... what? "Of course, what other choice is there?" You can't grow by staying stagnant, right? Was that a question really, or some kind of challenge? Self-consciousness bubbling back up through her hype, her last apology surfaced. "Sorry for earlier, does it hurt you when that happens?"
tl;dr - Keen observation/Infectious optimism/Prompts self-reflection. Stellar (para. 1-6) - Off-hand suggestion/A question or a challenge?/Soft apology. 𝐏𝐥𝐚𝐲𝐛𝐨𝐲 (para. 7) - Pas mentionné: Julienne Lémieux junsuina Kei Hada Kurokami Gen

| Makitori Hebi | @winding.snake.nāga Location: UA's STAR, Tokyo, Japan. | Current Status: In class, dhmu. Now Playing: Sam Smith - La La La While Hebi was aiming to be an underground hero, and disliked the public side of things, she had never been actively offended by how over-the-top some heroes were. Well, there's a first time for everything.
This was Hebi's first time inside STAR, too. The high-end facilities weren't of much use to her, Quirk having no massive potential for destruction, but it was nice to know her classmates could go all out at least. Stellar's intro was... a feast for the senses. Hebi silently thanked her fortune at not being one of the more sensitive mutants. Blank-faced as normal, she shook the Jubilation Hero's hand and promptly went to sit down with the other students. Mindful of other's invisible boundaries, her 13 ft tail was coiled in a tight circle around the body with a wide berth left in-between her and the others. While she did her best to remain focused in class, something immediately caught the snake's attention. A living, breathing bunny? While Hebi thought it was cute, there was no conscious desire to do anything. It was the unconscious desire that won out, tail shooting forward to grab it from the floor. There was both relief and disappointment felt when the small animal crumbled into ash on contact. When she was stained grey, rather than red.
Looking over, she noticed another girl had also been similarly surprised. Julienne, huh? Hebi had only seen her in a couple classes so far, and had retained little except that she was both a foreigner and very loud. Maybe this would be an opportunity for some 'networking', as Chiaki-san had put it. Just like Julienne, Hebi was wearing the gym uniform, altered to accomodate her Quirk. Nothing covered her feet, too far from normal to fit in any shoes.
Observing the other students as they took their turns, Hebi noted another student she'd absolutely met before. One Kanjo Junsuina, her favourite upperclassman (tied with Kaida-senpai). They hadn't interacted at all since the Elementalist attacks, but that day had made a very strong impression on Hebi. Saying nothing, Hebi made eye contact and waved over to Jun (indirectly addressing Kei, hiding behind her). While the presence of a support course student here was certainly unusual, Hebi didn't see why it was anyone else's business to harrass him about it. So what, he wanted self-improvement, why was that an issue?
The next student in order was certainly something. If Stellar's intro was a feast for the senses, this was spoiled food. Probably worth something, but disgusting nonetheless. She'd heard a few claims before of people having claimed to have many Quirks, or at least the ability to replicate them. His confidence in tone, though, said something in itself. From looks, the others seemed to know him, so had he proved it to them? She was suspect sans any evidence, but that wasn't the problem. It was his tone. The exact kind of venomous arrogance that made her blood boil. Because like spoiled food, she'd had to deal with far too much of this before. But, however stormy the waters below, the icy surface did not shift. "If you can do anything you want with your Quirk, what's the use in super moves, or watching us flail? Surely you could get just as much observing the students training outside? If you plan to rest on your laurels, stay out of the way while we work." She didn't bother disputing the claim, but she'd gladly refute his attitude. People who had the gall to claim superiority but no effort to back it up were worth nothing.
Realising she'd spoken up without offering anything herself, Hebi stood briefly and faced the crowd. "Apologies. I go by Nāga. My Quirk is simple, what you see is what I am." To quickly illustrate her point, she raised herself a little off the ground and cracked the end of her tail like a whip. "My idea today was inspired by a villain that myself and Mood Ring-senpai fought together. A defensive stance, nothing flashy." With that, she sat back down against the base of her tail, turning to their instructor in anticipation. Nobody else was showing up, so it was time to start implementing that 6-step process.
tl;dr - It's a hell of a show... Stellar- Pop goes the weasel bunny 𝐏𝐥𝐚𝐲𝐛𝐨𝐲 Julienne Lémieux- ...Better the devil you know (silent acknowledgment)... junsuina Kei Hada- ...than the devil you don't (deadpan snark) Kurokami Gen- Brief introduction

Now Playing: OR3O - All Eyes on Me And just like that, it was over. Hebi coughed quietly, as the cloud of ash and dust turned to stinking tobacco smoke. It took a few seconds for her mind to process the white room that once again surrounded her. It took even longer for her heart to slow down, especially since the room was nowhere near as warm as the fire had been. She was barely able to acknowledge the people treating her wounds, a quiet "Thanks." all that greets them. The serpentine girl snaps back to focus as Raincheck is finishing up his speech, taking her full attention briefly. The question rings in her head, more than the praise or encouragement. What it all was? What?
As the hero leaves the room, Hebi turns to her two fellow 'survivors' with a smile, barely noticeable. "You both have an ally in me, should you ever need one. Makitori Hebi, first year." She stands up from leaning back on her tail, seemingly going to leave, before turning back around to Amilia specifically. "Oh, English girl, what's your name?" Upon receiving an answer, she'd face both girls once more. "Miroru-san, Amilia-san, thank you both." Her attention turns to a camera in the corner, light blinking red. "What that all was... I think that was a scared young child, dealing with a Quirk they could not hope to control so young." Staring now at the camera she was talking up to, Hebi became hyper-aware of the fact that thousands of people were watching her. Perhaps people who knew Makihara Nagako. People who remembered the small Quirker child she was talking about. This fact, coupled with the exhaustion of the challenge, very quickly triggered the part of her brain that said to flee. Without elaborating on her theory, or saying goodbye to the other two, Hebi made her way out of the room as fast as her large body could. Her stone face betrayed nothing but quiet mystery.

Snakes, primarily ambush predators, are adept at lying in wait until their moment to strike arrives. Unfortunately for Hebi, her foresight went a lot faster than her body. In the brief period between the hammer throw and the big boss re-appearing, Hebi had been moving closer to the danger zone. Closer to Amilia, as much as she could while travelling significantly slower than the bull. Too slow to get there, before a laser impacted the machine and sent her comrade flying. Fuck. Hebi was able to catch up to the beaten-up bionic bovine, using her considerable strength to break Amilia out of the seat if her weapon failed to have the desired effect. "Sorry, I should've been quicker. Time to go." Hebi re-equipped 「The Social Distancer」, gauntlets covering her hands as she activated them for the first time. She acted as a bastion (and a distraction) while Amilia made her escape. Then, once her more acrobatic teammate was clear, Hebi turned tail (hehe) and ran as well. While she could take a hit, the first burn she'd gotten today hurt quite enough, so she wasn't keen to fuck around and find out with this flaming foe.
tl;dr - Tries to make a catch, but too slow. Amilia Pierce - Uses 「The Social Distancer」to cover escape. - Nigerundayo! Miroru Jinx

| Makitori Hebi | @winding.snake.nāga Location: UA, Tokyo, Japan. | Current Status: Mutant Rights rally this weekend, fighting against misinfo in the curriculum. Now Playing: Jordan Clarke - Freaks Since everyone else was making their way out of the lecture hall, Hebi initially didn't question Genki walking out in front of her. 'Oh, he's in my way...' she figured, preparing to either wait behind the boy or maneuver around him. What she hadn't been expecting was the other person turning and talking to her. Looking properly, that was indeed Genki Tokage. "wh- huh? what?" It took a couple seconds for her brain to catch up to what he'd said. "Oh, uh... snake is right, yeah. Eyes up here." Though Hebi had meant that last part as a joke, her tone was entirely flat, and nothing in her face betrayed anything but intensity either. While Genki talked, her eyes had been passing over his features as well, in between making eye contact. Scales, claws, tail, all familiar to her. She wondered what, if anything, was hidden behind the lizard boy's mask.
Hebi was about to reciprocate the gesture that Genki made with his tail with no questions asked, but realising that it was accidental, she accepted his handshake instead. Cold, as she'd thought and as he'd said. Not that Hebi really noted any difference in temperature, just the lack of the usual one when she touched someone. Her hands were smooth, lacking Genki's claws. Genki's next question, again, took a couple seconds to process. "Makitori Hebi... is me. Nice to meet you too, Genki." There was some small amount of comfort in the fact that Genki could not connect her name to her appearance. Maybe she hadn't stood out as much as she thought? Either way, she returned her hand to her side, pulling out her phone from a pocket in her bag. "What's your Line ID? Or your number? Can't stay and talk in here, but we could meet somewhere else." Hebi's eyes briefly wandered over to the front of the room, only to see that their professor had left already. A short hiss escaped her mouth at this realisation.
Notes: - She's essentially just asking for his contact info so they can communicate for the project, but she's not saying all that. - Probably gonna be one more back-and-forth, then a scene change.

PC New Quirk for the Event: Quirkless Is your quirk going up on the Free Market?: Yes! ( Makitori Hebi's 'Serpentine') [OPTIONAL] Updated Quirk Description: Hebi, having been pulled into the Dream World, has lost her Quirk and all its effects. [OPTIONAL] Personality Adjustments: While still as passionate and idealistic as ever, Hebi's mind is no longer clouded by animalistic urges and instincts. She's a lot less reserved and no longer compulsively quiet, able to be both more outgoing and more peaceful in her own mind. Unfortunately for her, the stress of the event may not be the best environment for this change. [OPTIONAL] Appearance Adjustments: As her appearance was altered so completely by her Quirk, Hebi is unrecognisable without it. She's still her normal height of 4'11", but lacks any of her distinctive mutant features. Light tan skin, almond-shaped dark brown eyes, and straight black hair cut to just above her shoulders. Like this, she could pass for just about any college-aged girl in (rural) Japan. Much to her dismay, she looks eerily similar to her mother.

| Location: UA, Tokyo, Japan. | Current Status: Taking part in Armor Wars, Arena 3 if you wanna watch. Now Playing: Adele - Skyfall Time is of the essence. Agreeing to Amilia's version of the plan with a nod, Hebi downed the vial of red liquid. The immediate impact was greater than she'd expected, her tail making a dent in the road as she whipped it up and down. Now, looking over at Miroru, Hebi initiated the next step of her brief preparations. "May I take the sweater? I believe I can make best use of it here." When Miroru agreed, Hebi put on the sweater and activated the effect. The serpentine girl grew now to 9.5 m/13 feet from head to tail tip, massive and muscular. Though she said nothing, her mind was racing. 'I feel like a Kamirex monster, this is so fucking cool!' Taking out her Laser Cannon for the final time, Hebi laid it down on the ground. "I think I get what you were talking about earlier, Firefox-san. I hope I get it. You can do more with this than me, right?"
Without further ado, Hebi wrapped the trailing end of her tail around Amilia's body. Then, she began spinning in place. Much like an Olympic hammer throw, Hebi used the full length of her strongest limb to bring the swordswoman around and around, faster and faster, until with one final flex, she sent Amilia flying. If her aim was as good as she thought, she would fly through a hole in the cocoon and strike at its center. Not content just to do this, Hebi also utilised her greater-than-usual strength to pick up as many large debris chunks as she could and launch those too. None of them on the same pinpoint course as Amilia. Now dizzy, Hebi dropped to one knee. All she could do now was wait and watch.
tl;dr - Preparations -- Downs the 「Ex-Sample」vial, bringing her Strength up to B+ (scenario maximum). -- Takes the 「Oversized Christmas Sweater」and activates it, doubling her size. -- Gives the「Laser Cannon」to Miroru to use. If refused, gives to Amilia instead. - Action -- Hebi launches Amilia Pierce through a gap in the cocoon, aiming (with C- Awareness & B- Dexterity) for a direct hit. -- She also launches a few large pieces of rubble at the cocoon, with less precision. Sure enough, as Hebi called for aid, it came in the form of Miroru's assistance. She'd have to ask the red fox's name, once this was over. For now though, as she was lifted free of all the dolls that had clung to her, there was a pang of guilt. They were acting as scared civilians here, right? Would they all be alright, if she was not protecting them? Quickly, Hebi's survival-first instincts swept away that thought. If she'd stayed as she was, the giants would've reached her. She (and the dolls) most definitely wouldn't have been alright. Touching down on the concrete, Hebi listened as Miroru addressed her. Being called by her hero name was very gratifying right now, in a way that it hadn't quite been before. Still, Hebi couldn't help but question what was being asked of her. "All due respect, I don't think I'm the best scout? Not the fastest one here." Despite her cynical words, Hebi started down the road, towards the couple other participants doing so more quickly. "Even so, I'll trust you with my life right now. Scouting it is, shout if you need help with your part. Hey, Acrobat-san! You're fast, so let's double up. I'll guard our little scouting party." She continued to move, at Normal Person Speeds now that she was un-burdened, down the road towards/with Amilia.
As the giants fell with a mighty crash, and as the fire flew overhead towards the 'final boss', Hebi couldn't help but feel herself back out in the street, fighting the Tortured. The memories this sparked were so intense, in fact, that Hebi also got an idea. Whatever was in that 'cocoon' was bad news, they couldn't let whatever incubation process this was finish. So, they had to strike hard and fast. She pulled out the「Laser Cannon」and began to charge it up. While it reloaded, in a sense, she turned to the only other two present she had any particular confidence in. "I've dealt with a threat like this before, and I think I have a plan. If we can blast a fire hydrant, or at least the water, with the laser cannon, then the steam will explode out, hopefully enough to launch the lightest of us. I'm also strong enough to throw someone, especially with some kind of propulsion, so I could try and launch one of you over through one of those gaps? Then I (or the other one of you two) fire this cannon through another hole until it stops working. Sound good? Or does one of you have a better idea?" Hebi was very acutely aware that time was of the essence, here. They didn't have much of it to waste deliberating, action must be taken.
tl;dr - Saved! - I'm on intel? and moving quickly? Miroru - Calls out to Amilia Pierce to stick together - Begins moving out down the road, on guard/tank duty. - Charging the「Laser Cannon」, but not firing. - (Tracer voice) Do you ever get that feeling of déjà vu? - Proposal: Hammer Throw Jinx

| Makitori Hebi | @winding.snake.nāga UA, Tokyo, Japan. | Current Status: Does anyone else see a monster when they look in the mirror? Now Playing: Mother Anarchy Loves Her Sons Once again, Hebi found her attention fixated on every little movement and gesture that Marlene made. Her shoulders slouching formed a knot in the serpentine girl's heart. The lack of understanding, lack of ability to convey something as subjective as emotional responses or motivation objectively. She was failing, needed to do better. The spoon, bent between delicate fingers with force that did not match the amount (or, more appropriately, the lack) of apparent effort on her part. Was Marlene angry? Frustrated? Did she feel anything, right now? Did Hebi? It took her a moment to breath and ground herself, but yes. She was still feeling. Just as quickly, the spoon was flawlessly bent back into its original shape. Hebi was fully staring, with intensity that (if she was aware of it) she'd worry would creep anyone else out. Maybe not Marlene, though? Enraptured with what she saw and heard, the conscious suppression of various habits was slipping. Rhythmic, her tail swayed much like a cat's before a pounce. Sensory, her tongue poked just slightly outside of her mouth, as if focused on some artistic task. Sleek, her posture was low, arms propped on the table fighting her urge to rest her head there.
Hebi, self-aware, shoved a large chunk of fish between her teeth. The savoury sensation of biting into (cooked) flesh was enough to distract her bestial mind from its coup attempt. No, we can't lose this one, she understands. When she'd cleared her mouth, she spoke to try and answer Marlene's questions. "Yeah, that's essentially it. You're understanding..." but, with the comment about laws, clearly Hebi hadn't been clear enough to be understood completely. She took a few seconds to consider that proposal. Well, she didn't much care for The Law itself, but didn't the Nāga have her own laws that she followed? A code, of what she thought was and was not just. Was and was not acceptable. When those laws were broken, that sure was one of her main motivators. "Laws in a sense, yeah... They're a little arbitrary, but so's the way common law is applied. They are my laws for what is 'good', and innocent people being hurt breaks them." She wondered if this was maybe a more productive way to re-frame her position to the other cold girl? Did she comprehend axioms and hard lines better?
Or maybe she didn't need to? Because there, again, was another thing Hebi could immediately connect with. Duty. This comment seemed to spark enough recognition/response that it was actually visible in her face and body language. Perked up, briefly. "Yes, without a doubt. More than anything else, my duty is to protect people." Maybe being so certain about such a self-sacrificing purpose in life wasn't the most healthy mindset for the young heroine, but at this point she was essentially incapable of viewing herself as more important than others. That was bound to happen, with her background. "...and you?" That quiet intensity shone through again, with a hope that peaked above the barrier of her monotone. If there was anything like the fire that lay behind Hebi's eyes reflected in the automaton's own, that would be validation in of itself.

| Makitori Hebi | @winding.snake.nāga Location: UA, Tokyo, Japan. | Current Status: Taking part in Armor Wars, Arena 3 if you wanna watch. Now Playing: Pagan Fury - Broken Heroes Makitori Hebi was not fast, not by any stretch of the imagination. She was a quick-thinker, perceptive, but the bulk of her body restrained her. Weighed down by the 'civilians' on every part of her body besides her head, she was not merely slow. She was immobile. Or, so it seemed. She wasn't moving, in any case. The one on fire had burned the flesh of her lower leg pretty badly, but she could struggle through that pain. She could carry this weight, but... you have to escape. Hebi dropped the「Laser Cannon」, recalling it to her inventory quickly. It was useless right now, and would just burn her hands if she continued to hold it. 3 of those titans downed was a pretty good run, honestly, given she was the only one trying. So, with her main weapon gone, and the giants still advancing along with the tide of 'civilians', what could she do? Too weak to fight, too slow to run. The fire that burned in her chest, behind her stone face, flared through her throat and became her voice. "Help me out, here! I can't get out as fast as you guys, gonna need some backup!" With this plea screamed out, Hebi turned back towards the oncoming heralds of destruction. Turned around until she found whatever camera was recording her. To face whatever crowd had assembled throughout the country to watch their struggles. She stood, again, defiant. "I was born Nagako, now I am Nāga. I will live, today, and succeed. There is no other option other than surrendering." She began to move in Miroru and Amilia's direction. She could carry this weight, as long as she focused - focused hard on each step. She could move as fast as she always did, strong as she was. This was not fast enough, but it was something. She was trying.
tl;dr - Assessing the situation... situation does not look good, gang. - Tasukete! Miroru Amilia Pierce - Defiant speech. - Baby stepsJinx
