Perhaps she was hurt by the smoke cloud? Sumi would eye her up and down before sighing a breath of relief when she got up and began to address the group normally. "Don't worry about it! Glad you're okay." she remembered Jun as the girl who wasn't a fan of the party she held, but given the circumstances of their current meeting, she didn't want to address any of that. Right now, she was focused on capturing the little robot. [break][break] The praise from Freja made her feel proud as it just proved that the training was working! "Thanks, Freja! Don't worry about it you were just trying to help me out, I'd do the same for you if I was quick enough" which was definitely something she hoped to accomplish one day. She'd then turn to Kei and address his idea of a plan. "Sounds good to me. I'll make sure to get up high and get a good vantage point. I can block off as many as we need, but I'll need some time to build up the smoke." [break][break] The sudden reappearance of the robot caught her off guard and briefly made her lose her train of thought. "Are you sure it's not sentient? That was a taunt if I ever saw one!" she'd pop another cigarette in her mouth and begin the process of inhaling, breathing out a cloud that she'd form into steps to get her on top of the highest point that she could see. "Get inside! I'll block off this entrance when you're all clear" once the group moved away she'd form a large smoke wall, tall enough that even from the highest point in the training grounds the little robot wouldn't be able to climb over it. She pondered the idea of giving her something more feminine, but given everything she was going through she opted to keep it simple. "Here, you can change whenever you're ready." taking a seat on the opposite end of the couch she'd get herself comfortable. There wasn't much else she could do besides letting Freja rest and making sure she had tons of fluids. "Anything you'd like to watch? In fact, what is your usual routine before bed? An impromptu lunch was a good chance to get to know her roommates who Freja had admitted they were more like her closest friends at this point. Their time together went swimmingly and by the end Sumi had collected their phone numbers for future hangouts, in fact they were supposed to all hang out around Halloween on campus! "Trust me, I didn't make the ramen that hot." she'd point to her own face "Otherwise it'd be like looking in a mirror not that I mi-...Freja? Freja!?" her jovial nature quickly turned to concern as Freja collapsed on the couch. Her cheeks were bright red and she looked like she was breaking out in a cold sweat. Whatever was going on, it clearly wasn't good and Sumi knew at least where to start. [break][break] The first thing she'd do was check her pulse and press her ear against Freja's chest to make sure she was still breathing. A few chest compressions made her relax a bit, but she'd waste no time getting an ice pack and a thermometer from his medical cabinet. She'd move Freja so she was laying down on the couch, propping her head up with the pillow and place the ice pack on her forehead. "Say aah" she'd place the thermometer under her tongue "38.5. Freja you're definitely sick, I don't know if your roommates will be expecting you. I can give them a call if you'd like to explain?" She would lean back settling into the spot she was in prior to Freja coming over with a pillow under her back. She had intended to just sleep in tomorrow and was going to watch TV until she passed out, but life had other plans. The company was always more fun! I'm here to talk, always" she knew that this was perhaps the wrong thing to say to someone dealing with an existential crisis, but she wanted to be open as possible "I'm sure whether I met both Elias and Freja, they'd both become one of my best friends just like you!" something she hadn't said aloud until now and yet it didn't change her thoughts on the matter "Hah I'd be a pretty crappy friend if I only hung out with people when it was only happy occasions. You don't know how truly boring some of the work events I go to are" she'd slump her shoulders and sigh just to start laughing a bit at how ridiculously phony those things were. She may not have known how to cook things from scratch properly, but she could follow instructions! Premade dashi was still considered home cooking, just not at her home. She had finally managed to get a good rhythm going with her new life as a support student. This originally came the headache of trying to fit her classes and extracurriculars on top of her already swamped schedule, but she failed to account for one thing; how helpful friends were! There were so many support students eager to lend a hand or just generally offer support. Especially considering how people in the business world treated her it was nice to just be seen as an equal for once, not someone's boss. [break][break] So there she sat in her penthouse, oversized t-shirt and flannel pajama bottoms, taking a well-deserved break. It was getting close to fall and this meant that some of her favorite movies were on and she was curled up on her couch to take advantage of this fact fully. Spotting an actor who's name she couldn't quite remember she reached for her phone just as the notification of a text went off, it was Freja! She could tell by the selfie she had them take after karaoke to make her contact picture, a tradition for all of her favorite people! [break][break] The vibe she was getting from the text was...concerning to say the least. Freja was definitely the reserved and if she was reaching out in this way it was probably important![break] "Sure! She'd thought the same in return but technically anyone could make up for what Freja couldn't do with a quirk buuuuut that was what made her all the more impressive. Maybe she'd need to get her own weapon soon! [break][break] She had eyes on Kei, making sure he wasn't overdoing it like always so she was only alerted to Juns sudden arrival once Freja called out to her. She jumped, spinning around to see Jun flying at them, and Freja had moved her out of the way. "Jun-senpai??" she was in complete disbelief as she watched Freja prepare to tell the full brunt of the impact. Her eyes flicked down to see that she was protecting Kei, who hadn't gotten up just yet. Pulling out a cigarette, she'd light it quickly before taking a deep inhale "Always with the heroics, Freja, I got this one!" she'd exhale, producing a large cloud of pure white smoke and with a quick hand movement would put it in between Freja and Jun. She'd slowly increase the density of the cloud as Jun would fly through it and get closer, to slow down her momentum, before she'd end up stuck inside the very end of the smoke cloud. Freja was not the first person to be worried about her, but with the resources at her disposal, it was more of a small hiccup than anything else. She leaned forward and listened intently as Freja explained her own reasons for becoming a hero. The shock about her situation had worn off, so Sumi wasn't too surprised that her dream originated from her sister. Straightforward is the best way to sum up Sumi. She lives her life with everything laid out on the table from the get-go, not concerned about the opinions of others on what she does, yet having plenty of views of her own that she's not afraid to share. When she speaks, she does so honestly and earnestly, having been encouraged to do so by her parents from a young age. As a result, she doesn't hesitate to express dissatisfaction even when others might feel that social norms dictate they keep their feelings to themselves. and having said that, she often tries to do this in a way that isn't malicious, which is the truth about 99% of the time.
Having grown up as the heiress of an international conglomerate, she fell into a unique position, towing the lines between what she wants out of life and what her parents want for her. In a twist of fate, their desires align more than one would expect, as she wishes to take over the business one day. This drive for her is the pursuit of science itself, as green biotech research is an interest independent of her family's company, even though biotechnology is the basis of their wealth.
One of the most important things her parents instilled was respect for her elders. As a young girl, she would attend company events with her parents, who had no issue with her being her authentic, frustratingly blunt self but took issue if she didn't show respect to those older than her. As a result, she will always try to show the utmost care to those around her, especially if they're older than her.
Sumi is someone who, when she trusts a person, puts her faith in them without hesitation, sometimes to her detriment. She will put herself in dangerous situations, believing firmly that her friends will cover for her if things go south. Teamwork, in her eyes, is almost a necessity to survive in this world, and she makes it very clear that even with the silver spoon she was given it doesn't make her more special than anyone else.

A life without worry.
Sumi was born with a silver spoon in her mouth. Her family ran one of the largest international conglomerates for Biotechnology research called Tiamat. It had been several generations since it was created, originally a small business operating out of Kyushu near the coast. Founded in 2015 by Sumi’s great-grandmother, its original focus was the manufacturing of drugs for rare conditions. Once the smoke leaves her mouth, she can manipulate it in any way she sees fit through hand movements. She can alter the acridity of the smoke itself from pure white, which is virtually harmless to inhale, to pitch black, which causes coughing fits, is dangerous to inhale, and causes a debuff of -1 to Vitality per 3 ranks of the Quirk (capping at -5 maximum to the debuff)
She also can change the density of the smoke produced at will. This allows her to surround her targets with his intangible smoke and solidify it to grasp them or even stand on the smoke as if it were solid ground.
She is also immune to the effects of inhaling smoke, whether it be her own or otherwise.
