She would wait in anticipation to see Freja's reaction and, besides, probably running a little hot due to the summer heat, which is why her face was red in Sumi's eyes. "The Freja seal of approval??" she'd laugh to herself. "I'll take it!" she'd happily dig in to her food not knowing what an indirect kiss was and therefore not bothered by it at all.

"Right? I couldn't do a rollercoaster after eating; this is light meal but that's too much!" she'd finish her meal and then hand Freja the empty bowl and give her a thank you. Once she returned, Sumi would gather her stuff in preparation for them to get going. "I do LOVE rollercoasters. Its such a thrill, but I haven't visited many amusement parks. That's what happens when you travel a lot!" the crowds were really starting to pick up now that it was getting a bit later in the morning. Thank god Freja suggested they meet early and make a whole day of it!

It was even more impressive once Sumi dove into the details and learned that they were allowing anyone from any walk of life to buy a ticket! She wasn't going to question how that could be done she was just more excited to see all the sights and meet all the people. Prior to Freja's text she had planned to go alone but spending the day with her best friend was even more enticing! Freja even mentioned that she'd wear the outfit Sumi picked out for her last time they were together which was a super cute yellow one, exactly her color.

As for Sumi herself she opted to wear something a bit more tropical and casual given how much walking they'd be doing. Of course, she'd also have some backup outfits, but this was her favorite! Boy, was she glad she chose that outfit when they arrived and immediately headed to the food court for breakfast. Even as early as it was, there were still many people here already! Still, they managed to get a good seat, and Sumi was beaming at her friend in her new fit. "I told you that yellow top would look great on you. You look so cute! Loving the braid too!" She always wanted to encourage Freja to try something new. From karaoke to being the drunkest girl at the party, it didn't matter to her.

"Okay, so I normally don't eat this stuff this early, but...I love chestnuts! I gotta get the Kurigohan!" she'd smile and get up from her seat, thankful that they had the same kind of food service that UAU was blessed to have. "What can I get you? No judgment; we're here to have fun, and I can pronounce any Scandinavian or Danish dish! I've been practicing" she'd give Freja a wink as she awaited her order.

Unfolding her chopsticks, Sumi would listen intently as she began to dig in. This time around she went with a pork cutlet bowl with a side of pickled radish - something quick and tasty! The prospect of weapons with elemental properties widened her eyes and she could barely contain her excitement. "Really?? You're really talented Ando-san!" Sure, what Ando had been doing wasn't exactly groundbreaking, but it sure as heck was impressive that she had this much of a resume when she was only a 2nd year.

She had intended to keep this conversation, which would bore your average student, just between them, but to her pleasant surprise, it seemed like this other girl was also interested in the topic. "That's a good point! Would you like to join us properly, um- I'm sorry I never caught your name?" she would pat the space next to her and then turn to the newcomer who was familiar with the mystery redhead. "You as well! The more, the merrier!" with that invitation being extended, she'd turn back to Masao and continue, "My idea was based on a project I've seen at work; we call them bio-helpers! They're these little Mollusca invertebrates like a oversized slug for example." she would take a bite from her pickled radish and continue "They can basically be preprogrammed for singular tasks and the only required maintenance is food and water. If there was some way we could house one of them in the hilt and the material of the blade could be flexible enough, we could probably create a sword that could change shape or even extend by combining the bio-mass from the bio-helper!"

As she went to take another bite she realized that the newer person was talking to someone named Farrin...wait Farrin? "Oh! You're Farrin! Freja has told me a lot of good things about you; its a pleasure!"

[attr="class,"memoryDarkbody"]Sumi genuinely couldn't understand how someone could be so distrustful. Hawthorne's face showed that he wasn't too pleased at the idea of tests also being performed on him and had no issue bringing up his concerns to her directly. Good! Sumi was always happier with a straight shooter rather than someone who would beat around the bush.

"Oh it will be, don't worry!" she'd continue to type away, parsing through the data from the scans she had received to get a proper build going. Having gathered enough information on his physical characteristics from the scan she was working on creating the perfect fixture that would house the plant arm with the lowest margin of error possible. "Margin of error of 0.5%. We can work with that!" she grinned as she finished the specifications.

"It's all about compatibility! Generally, with a mechanical prosthetic, you wouldn't need any DNA, but this arm is going to become an extension of your own body. Think of it as a makeshift organ transplant. Your DNA being used to synthesize the plant means that your body won't reject it for one and that it'll only ever work for you!" with that she'd get out a sterile syringe from the desk and take a step forward "You ready? Don't worry, I've done this plenty of times. Just a quick poke and we'll be all set!"

[attr="class,"memoryDarkbody"]Like most support students part of Sumi's responsibility was having hours in the support lab where anyone could walk in and make a request. It was non negotiable as a result of attending UAU in the support class and while some people were basically dragging themselves to do this Sumi loved those open office hours. It was not only a good chance to socialize, but some of the requests she got were really challenging! The creativity of other students was really fun for her to see firsthand. So when Shion came with a request for something that could work with his quirk organically she was happy to help.

Having spent the last week trying to come up with different applications for what Shion requested and using scans she had taken of Toto to try and work out something that would suit the hero student. Glasses on and her hair tied back she was ready when the knock on the door came "Come in!" assuming Shion didn't hesitate to let himself into the lab she would greet him with a smile and direct him towards the table where she was set up. "So, it took a bit I've never made something for a quirk that has its own consciousness but I have a few things to try." she'd gesture to the three crystalline structures she had on the table with each of them being a different color. "Whenever you're ready, we can get to testing; one of those will surely work, I promise!"

[attr="class,"memoryDarkbody"]Sumi, who was separate from the group, was hard at work trying to secure the area. Her quirk may have been versatile, but depending on her lung capacity to use her quirk effectively meant that having to build massive smoke walls at multiple points was particularly exhausting. With the first one being complete, she would sit for a brief moment panting to catch her breath. She hadn't used her quirk to this extent before, but people were depending on her, so she would rise back to her feet. From her vantage point she could see them all hard at work, and while she couldn't hear what anyone was saying, she knew that it was only a matter of time until they lured the little robot to her. 'You got this, Sumi!' she'd think to herself to hype herself up before moving to the next area to put another wall up.
