[attr="class","ZenkaiExposition"]"You definitely did do that!" Zenkai shouted as he pointed to the hideous rat thing in front of them. "You said giant sewer rat and BAM! GIANT SEWER RAT!" The titan roared as he pointed an accusatory finger at the girl. "This is your fault and you know it!" Zen couldn't finish that sentence without cracking up. The perfect timing of their most recent catastrophe was just too much for the poor boy. "Next please tell me we're going to find a million dollars each so we don't have to deal with this creature"

The rat for its part had stopped to listen to the two would-be heroes bicker. It was twitched and quaking as it held onto its prized possessions for dear life. "Meeksies run for life, Meeksies chased from home by mean greens" The rat twitched in response to Freja's question. "Meeksies just want to sleep well in home with treasure" Zenkai honestly had no idea what the rat was talking about but it was pretty clear that this was a rat with a quirk to mimic a human and not the other way around.

"Uh…So…You need help bud? Where did you get all those shiny things from? Who is the mean green?" The titan asked as the rat twitched nervously. It didn't take long for Zenkai's question to be answered as four human sized turtles jumped out of the sewers to confront the Rat "Give us our loot old man! The Sewers are our turf now and if you want to love down there you're going to have to pay the fee." One of the turtles, sporting a red headband snapped at the scared rat. The golden boi noticed each turtle sported a different headband and a different weapon, it was surreal.

"You've got to be fucking kidding me." Zenkai sighed and turned to Freja "You did this, you did all of this and now I have to deal with it"

[attr="class","ZenkaiExposition"]Zenkai's eyebrows raised as he watched his partner activate her quirk, causing the ground below her to crack. Damn, school was going to have to pay for that, her quirk was going to get expensive if she did that Everytime. Of course it still hand Zenkai's seal of approval, it was a pretty badass flex to be able to break concrete with just the activation of your quirk alone. What was even more impressive was how quickly she was able to get the monster under control, even after being hit full on by on of the vines. Emilia certainly did have what it took to be a hero, now what she said made sense.

Of course plantman Stan wouldn't be contained so easily. It wriggled and writhed under the grip of the would-be-hero as it tried to break free of her grasp. Eventually the plant thing managed to free itself from it's captors grasp by squeezing the vines between the two of them before prying girl off it's body to continue its pathetic little rampage.

Zenkai was more than happy to watch the scene unfold before him, most of the civilians had evacuated themselves leaving his job to be finishes quite easily. He could have helped Emilia sure but he was more than happy to stand by and let his partner do all the work and take all the credit. But the damned plant had other things in mind. Now it was angry. Now it wanted to get revenge. And in one quick movement, now it had Zenkai its its gigantic Venus fly trap head. The golden boi had decided that the easiest and quickest way to stop the monster from eating anyone else was to have himself get eaten instead.

"Yo, Emi-chan, I'mma need you to handle this dude quickly before the acid starts eating me" It was currently tingling his skin, probably going to leave first degree burns if the thing was taken care of quickly. If not he's probably have to go to the hospital.

[attr="class","ZenkaiExposition"]The titan let out a hearty laugh as Freja teased him right back. She was getting better at handling his mock-bullying and was starting to hold her ground if not go along with it for the sake of the bit. She had a point though, while getting into life threatening situations was a daily occurrence when the two of them hung out, it happened plenty of times with other people as well. Maybe he was actually the one that attracted all the trouble. "God help the world if he made me the protagonist. I can't imagine a worse job than that." He looked down at his companion as he inhaled another handful of popcorn. "Though I guess if you're the damsel in distress than I wouldn't mind saving you every once in a while"

Freja's comment about jingling them would receive an eye roll from the titan. "I seriously doubt there is a big enough rat in this city that could steal my popcorn from me, Helt. That's just silly" They grinned and poked at Freja's side "Besides what in the world would a sewer rat want with my popcorn? There is WAY better food around here."

As if on queue a chorus of screams erupted from their left, people running wildly yet again from some unknown threat. Just as the golden boi turned his attention to the kerfuffle a blurry, brown flash past by him and in an instant their popcorn was gone. Following the direction of the blurs trajectory, Zenkai was greeted to the sight of a gigantic, gnarly looking rat with shabby clothes. In its two front paws lay the titan's prized popcorn along with various jewels and other food. "Fuck me running, Helt. You really did just jinx us."

[attr="class","ZenkaiExposition"]Zenkai sighed loudly as he strolled down the street with her regular patrol partner. He had no idea why they were constantly matched up with Freja but at this point he didn't really care to ask. She was a cool kid and a good hero and for the most part he could get her to do most of the work if the need arose. The way she reacted to compliments and jokes also made it easier to pass the time. She was dorky and awkward like a little fawn with a baseball bat you did not want to fuck with. It was for that reason that he felt the need make sure no one fucked with her and that reason alone. No other reason. Stop looking into this now.

"So, knife man, thunder monk and burning building" Zenkai spoke, right before shoving a whole fistful of popcorn into his mouth. "Everytime I'm with you something weird always seems to happen. It's kind of like the world itself is telling me to stay away from you" The golden boi teased. While it was meant to be a joke, there was some truth to the statement. The two of them had been through quite a bit of shit together, most if it was life threatening. It probably would have been scary if it wasn't exactly the kind of stuff they signed up to handle. Still those were the kinds of situations where the protagonists in all the manga would fall in love with the girl, but that was bullshit right? That stuff didn't actually happen in real life. "Too bad I'm a shit listener"

Their patrol today was In a quiet neighborhood, away from the usual hustle and bustle of Tokyo. If Zen was a betting man he would have put his money on U.A. finally realizing trouble followed the pair and put them in a quiet district to keep them out of any shenanigans. Whether or not the universities tactics would plan out was anyone's guess, but the monkey king had a feeling shit was coming for them

[attr="class","ZenkaiExposition"]Zenkai let out a groan as Emilia made her way out of the Ramen shop. If his meal was going to he interrupted by something, it sure as he'll better have been interesting. The weird Petey the Piranha knockoff certainly wasn't very interesting. Honestly the only interesting thing about the moving plant was the anatomical nightmare that was probably this dude's body. It was a cruel fate to be turned into something like that by your own quirk. Cuz like…ain't no one ever going to want to be with a ugly ass plant dude.

"Just like I planned" The titan let out a loud sigh and shook his head as he walked closer towards Emilia. He did not plant this of course, he had no idea it was going to happen, but he was more than happy to make he did. "Good thing I made sure we ate Ramen here or else things could have gotten a lot worse." It was dumb, this was dumb, there was no way in hell that this girl would believe that he had known about this and planned it all in advance, she wasn't Freya after all.

After assessing the situation it came time to divvy up the workload, someone was going to have to make sure civilians didn't get in the way and someone was going to have to stop the rampaging plant. Zen had no intentions of being the latter. "You're up superstar" The golden boy spoke, giving Emilia a pat on the back/shove towards the monster. "I'll make sure no one gets in your way and you show the world you've got what it takes to be a hero. Deal?"

[attr="class","ZenkaiExposition"]Zenkai let out a sigh of mock disappointment as Freja announced that they were not the first person that she had revealed her secret to. “Awww, I’m not your first? Too bad, I could have made you feel REAL special” The titan taunted giving their drinking buddy a playful wink. She made it way too easy to easy for him sometimes but that was one of the many things he appreciated about her.

The titan stood up and walked over to the little bar Freja had set up and grabbed the bottle of tequila as his drinking buddy commented on how secretive he was. “Secrets are a person’s most guarded and cherished treasures, If I am ever honored enough to be trusted with one, I will guard it like a dragon.” Master Gyatso said something similar way back when they first arrived at the monastery. Back then he thought it was the dumbest saying, but after meeting some friends and learning a few secrets he understood the meaning. “Including my own…” Zenkai removed the cap of the tequila and took a big swig before continuing “Besides what’s so wrong with that? The mystery just adds to my appeal”

It wasn’t every day that you learned someone’s deepest darkest secret and Zenkai was respectful as Freja downed a second drink before spilling everything. From her originally being Elias, to her sister, to how they died, how Freja was still in there, how they were becoming one everything laid bare for the titan to see. Zen would rub her back when it was appropriate but for the most part they were silent and drank. It was a pretty shocking revelation to be sure but not really something he would ever end a friendship over. Freja was good people, regardless of who she was. Thea on the other hand…well her knowing could only go poorly.

As The young grey haired dane poured herself another drink the golden boi rose to his feet and strode over behind the traumatized girl, wrapping their gigantic arms around her bringing her close to them while his chin on the top of her head. Freja looked like she could use a hug and Zenkai was all too willing to provide in his intoxicated state.

“You’re neither…And both, Bats” Zenkai spoke, looking down at Freja’s drink “You. Are. An. Experience, two souls entwined as one creating a whole new being. It would be kinda poetic if it weren’t so fucking tragic.” The freshman couldn’t imagine the kind of special hell Freja must have been in the first couple of years. “That’s also one HELL of a way to come” It was a shitty joke but he hoped it would suck at least a little tension out of the poor girl’s shoulders.

“As for feeling different about you” Zenkai grabbed onto Freja’s shoulders before spinning her around to face him so that he could look her in the eyes while he spoke. A faint smirk appeared on the golden boi’s lips as he bent down to get closer to his drinking buddy, leaning towards her face ever so slowly “Don’t go thinking so little of me, bats, your little secret could never change my opinion of you” The titan lift a hand to flick Freja’s forehead but instead found it drying the tears off of her cheeks as if simply acting on its own accord. Zenkai found his eyes trailing over Freja’s thin, pale, pink lips before he was able to regain control and maintain eye contact.

“What happened to you sucked, that’s for sure but in a way, it led you to being my friend and I’m grateful for that. Think what you want, Helt, but you’re not getting rid of me that easily. You’re one of my favorite humans, do you know how many favorite humans I have? Three. Everyone else is basically just an acquaintance in my mind. You’re determined, kind, smart, and REALLY fucking dorky, it doesn’t matter who you are or what happened in the past, the only thing that matters is who you are in the moment and at this moment you’re a HUGE dork, a very pretty, very adorable dork.” Man… Zenkai really hated how much he couldn’t control himself when he was drunk.
