[attr="class","ZenkaiExposition"]Having a roommate that was a support student was very, very handy. Anytime something needed to be fixed, Kei was there, anything he needed built quickly, Kei was there. Heck, even when Zenkai bothered him about making him some gear, Kei was there and willing. The dude was one of the friendliest and most accommodating people they had ever met though they were pretty sure it wasn't because Kei wanted to be nice. It was because he really didn't have a single ounce of assertiveness in him. Zen knew he would eventually have to help his roommate develop a backbone but not before he took advantage of the situation, he really wanted some cool gauntlets…And a neat pair of boots.

“So, like, these will make me stronger?” The titan raised an eyebrow as he flexed his hands, checking out his new gauntlets. They were pretty much everything Zenkai was hoping for. Aesthetically pleasing and packing a punch, and able to fold into cute little bangles, it was the perfect gear for Zen, easily accessible and on hand whenever he needed it. Most importantly though, it was a short cut. See, Zen didn’t want to have to work out daily in order to get a stronger physique. Instead he’d have his new gauntlets and boots do all the heavy lifting for him, pun intended.

“Can’t wait to smash some of these robots” The golden boi gave Ken a grin and a thumbs up. Originally Zenkai wanted to try and use them on “Live” targets but after Kei explained that other students probably wouldn’t wait around to get hit and that he’d actually have to go chase them down to hit them. Zenkai changed his mind as they decided it was way too much work and would settle for the robots instead.

“So…I just start swinging and you get to check the output on them or something? Final touch kind of thing?”

It was pretty weird how she could just become a completely different person at the snap of a finger, especially one so different from her usual self. Of course, they was going to annoy the shit out of her for it later. If Zen knew Thea and they were pretty sure they did at least a bit, then she DEFINITELY hated acting like that. Still, thanks to her plan they would probably be able to get inside the building without any trouble.

The titan grinned as Thea did her thing, controlling the guard outside to let them inside. Zen quickly jogged over to the pair, grinning down at their partner as she explained that they now had VIP access to the building, AND they would be getting uniforms...well, SHE would be getting a uniform, Zen was probably too big to fit into any of them, which would be fine for the time being. It just meant that the mentat would have to take the lead to make sure that the coast was clear before he came strolling through.

"So...Like...Should we totally get Mani-Peti's after this?" Zenkai grinned as he mimicked Thea's cheerier personality as the two entered the facility, following the mind-washed guard. "Oh-Em-Gee! Then we can like totally spill the tea about the people we have a crush on! Or are currently dating and in denial about!" They were definitely starting to see why Thea chose the persona, it was pretty fun to talk like this. "Don't worry, we'll def have Mimosas too! Like it'll be totes cray " Man, She was never going to escape his torment now.

The disgust was clear on the try-hard's face and the golden boi couldn't help but be amused at his misconceptions. Zen never considered themselves cool and had no intention of flunking out of "Super cop school" as the other student put it. They was planning to scrape by with the lowest passing grade possible and with the least effort possible. They had taken this scenario into account and decided that it wasn't worth the grade. He could sacrifice this fight and make it up later on a test or some shit. Thea was tutoring him so he could put in a little more effort to make up the grade.

"Awwww, thanks for calling me cool, I'm flattered. The sapphire-eyed titan cooed as he let out another yawn. Dude was wasting his time if he thought that Zen was going to give him any sort of satisfaction. They had met people like Gary before, dudes who thought they were hot shit and looked down at everyone. It was bothersome but they knew exactly how to handle dudes like Gary. You don't feed the troll.

"The latter...Or the former...who knows! Certainly not you" the golden boi stuck his tongue out at the upperclassmen as they taunted him. "The only one who gets tell me what to do is me. Anyone else can't kindly show themselves out." He began to shoo away their opponent. "So kindly go away...Oh wait...You need the bomb thing don't you"

[attr="class","ZenkaiExposition"]Zenkai let out a loud, boisterous laugh as Marlene told her joke "SEE! She's funny too! This is why she's amazing!" Marlene was pretty god damn amazing. Even though she was an automaton she was still trying her best to be human and was constantly learning to try and reach that goal. They were pretty lucky to have her in their life...Or was it the other way around? who knew? Certainly not Zenkai! They were just grateful that their first romantic relationship was with such an easy going person. The golden boi knew he wasn't the easiest of people to be around, he was lazy, loved to annoy people and at the first sign of weakness would pounce like a tiger onto their prey, much like with Freja and complimenting her.

Zen's cheeks flushed a light shade of red as Marlene referred to them as her boyfriend. It probably wasn't an incorrect term to use but like, they'd only been dating for a little while, wasn't this going too fast? Or did he just dislike that term because it implied that he was getting close to someone. Either way, he was stuck with the title now since he was not about to correct her on that in front of other people.

The embarrassment didn't last for long though as he felt Marlene's elbow connect with his ribs, forcing him to groan and bend over, clutching his side "Ow...who knew you were so sentimental..." It was pretty surprising that Marlene was so attached to the dress and they couldn't help but wonder if she'd become attached to other clothes if he gave them to her as a gift. Probably right? They might not be as special as her mother but they were still special in some way. "Fine, fine, I'll take you shopping and we can find some clothes that don't make you look like a maid" The titan huffed in resignation.

It seemed that during their conversation with Sumo-chan and Marlene, even more people had arrived to the party. Juicebox girl who they definitely didn't know, Johnny, who was as cringey as ever, Kenta, the wrestler extraordinaire but most importantly, Farrin and Thea, two other Abes who he 100% didn't think would be coming...Or did he? Thinking was getting harder now, action must be taken.

"SHOTS!" The titan erupted, shoving the bottle of tequila into Freja's hands before bending down and tossing her onto his shoulders. After obtaining limes and salt, the ultimate tequila tower was finally operational. Then, disaster struck. Before the pair of drinking buddies could commence on getting everyone else drunk, a small rat appeared in front of Farrin, threatening everyone's good time. This couldn't be tolerated, for the sake of the Party, Zen would take matters into their own hands.

"RAT!" The mountain of a man shouted as he charged for Farrin with Freja still on his shoulders. "I'LL SAVE YOU!" with little effort, Zenkai grabbed the furry little critter by the scruff of his neck before spinning around and yeeting the creature as far away as humanly possible, off the yacht into the water. How dare something so small and evil make their way onto the boat and assualt Farrin by talking to them, who knew rats could talk? Zen didn't. Anyway, with the day saved Zenkai held out the tray of salt and limes before shouting to the entire deck "LETS DO SOME SHOOOOOOOOTTTTTTSSSSS"

[attr="class","ZenkaiExposition"]Zenkai looked back at Freja as she followed him upstairs. She seemed tired, stressed and in a lot of pain. He couldn't imagine how hot that bat was by now but she still refused to put it down, she was a fucking champ in Zen in Zen's opinion. No quirk, no protective clothing and yet she was still doing her fucking best to try and save people's lives. The world would be a better place if it was just filled with more people like Freja.

Zenkai kicked down the final door at the top of the apartment complex the one that seemingly started the fire and quickly greeted to the smell of burnt flesh. There were no screams coming from this apartment, no one left to save, maybe there was never a chance of saving them. Still, the titan couldn't help but feel a tinge of regret not coming through this door first. If he had, would he have been able to save whoever was inside? He'd probably find out after the firefighters arrived. For now, he had to make sure everyone else got out alive and that included Freja.

Freja's screams reached him before he even saw her which made the mountain of a pain bolt towards her direction. Had she gotten burnt? Did she find another body? Neither of those seemed to be the answer as he finally approached her, watching her scream into the fire in front of her with her bat at her side. She seemed absolutely terrified of something within the fire, something he couldn't see. Shit...that definitely wasn't good.

"Freja! I know it's scary but you're a hero, pull yourself together!" Zenkai shouted as he grabbed ahold of Freja, there was no fucking way he was letting her die today. Just as he was turning around to get both of them out of there the second floor collapsed, right in front of their exit...
