Ylva's eyes narrowed when Andy expressed concerns about her "past history" which did nothing but to solidify her dislike for her. Little did she know now that this was the tip of the iceberg when it came to their future history together.[break][break]
Still, that didn't change the current situation one bit, and Ylva's annoyance may have been muted, but she was definitely feeling it. Staring at Masao, she didn't say anything, letting her finish her ranting before she would add a simple "Are you finished?" grabbing her bags, she stepped past Masao and headed towards her room. "In the future, less is more." She'd put the key in the lock and open her room. "I'm not even remotely interested in your room." Oh good, she was preachy too. As much as Ylva didn't want to agree to these terms, she had no choice. Her family had called in a lot of favors for her to be here, and her father would be very, very upset if she did anything to get kicked out of UAU. Ylva slowly started to form an opinion on Kiku. Out of anyone she'd met excluding Misaki she felt that Kiku was the most tolerable. She wasn't too chatty, she wasn't set on trying to 'figure Ylva out' and she wasn't preachy. With how many people she ran into that were preachy, it was a breath of fresh air. Having someone around like this wasn't too bad[break][break]
"You don't need an application." Ylva finished dumping the last of the compost she had "The two guys who run it are usually too busy fighting but they'll take anyone who wants to cook." She would stand up and grab her basket of carrots and potatoes "Follow me, I'll take you there." Perhaps there was some hope at UAU after all when it came to the people here. Just as they were starting to rally, everything was beginning to fall apart. With the golems breaking apart and revealing people inside, Ylva's attention was elsewhere. Something caught her eye in the distance and when she tried to hone in with quirk it didn't register for her sensory abilities. Before she could share this, the golems changed, and the surge of water was almost sensory overload. With this much in one spot, it was hard to pick up on the others in the area, but there was a much bigger issue that popped. [break][break]
Extra Kikus? That wasn't right. "Hey I se-" before she could share this everyone was shouting different names with some leaping towards the Kiku's and the others were wrestling with them. Her Kiku was making a beeline for her with what she could only guess was lethal intent and Ylva didn't hesitate. She knew who the real one was. 'Sorry about this' She brought her fist back and hit the 'imposter' in the gut as hard as she could, sending it flying back as it crumbled. The gunshots from Retsu finished it off as Ylva turned to see that girl she now knew as Bakiri Retsu. A villain worth taking in but under the circumstances she didn't have time to split her focus - there were two idiots that were about to get themselves killed. [break][break]
She would take a moment before ultimately deciding that with Kiku being the physically weakest here, especially after her showing in the sparring class, she took priority over the others. "Deathcap, they're fake. Focus up!" She would leap towards her, missing because Kiku was faster, but would use her quirk to freeze the imposter in place. "It's not real. None of them are REAL." she practically shouted [break][break]
The appearance of Waterfall gave her hope that they would get through this with her control of water, she was already working on dismantling the Tide, when Andy pitifully caught her attention. As Ylva hobbled her way towards the Tide she called back to Masao without looking "ANDO! It doesn't matter who you see. You should know it's not real. If you want to live up to your family name, get your shit together and protect the others! If you really want to be Paragon, GET. UP." From there, as she clutched her side, she would work with Noa, slowly freezing the pieces she was able to rip away from the golem piece by piece. After she set Kiku down she watched the school staff work. They were quick and very skilled which was to be expected if they were UAU staff. The amount of people who got injured at UAU on a daily basis was extremely high and no matter how competent you were there was ALWAYS something you lacked. "Everyone has strengths and weaknesses." She'd say flatly to Kiku as she put the water bottle she gave her down in front of her once the staff had finished treating her for the time being. As much as she usually didn't go out of her way to do something like this she felt at least a tiny bit bad for Kiku. When she spoke about her choice to join the hero course instead of Gen Ed, Ylva initially thought that there was a reason she managed to scrape by even with a quirk that didn't have much practical usage.[break][break]

Ylva was late enough that she contemplated not even showing up. After her experiences in the Sports Festival and the fallout over her 'loss,' she wasn't exactly feeling happy where she was at development-wise. Sure, she had learned a bit of Mixed Martial Arts and through strength training, had gotten to the point where she wasn't exactly sure if she could realistically train her muscles any further. All that left was to improve her other skills and she needed more tools outside of her quirk.[break][break]
Having made up her mind, she changed into her gym clothes and filled a small bag with snacks and a few water bottles. If the class was anything like her training sessions she would need them. As she made her way to the Physical Education Grounds she would use the group chat she had between Masao and Misaki and would type 'Misaki, class for combat practice happening at the Physical Education Grounds.' and she would leave it at that. Knowing Masao she would find some way to yap about it whether she found out or not so at least this way Ylva could just mute the group chat if Misaki didn't answer.[break][break]
Before she got to the field she could count the number of people there and some of their 'signatures' were familiar to her sensory abilities. When she spent a lot of time with certain people, it got easier to tell them approximately who they were through her quirk. Seven people in total with three she recognized. As she approached, she watched the last bit of Enma mercilessly striking down Kiku, who crumpled on the spot. With a sigh, she'd make her way over, approaching from behind. "Move." she'd say coldy to Khepri as she bent down to take a look at Kiku before reaching into her bag and getting out a water bottle. With a quick snap freeze she'd pull Kiku's arm over her shoulder and lift her up as gently as she could "If you need to go to the infirmary I'll take you there. Otherwise I'm gonna set you down over there." She planned to offer Kiku a chilled water bottle assuming she didn't offer up any resistance to Ylva's offer for help. [break][break]

Panting as she continued to fire off blast after blast to take out as many of the Nomu as possible while trying to keep herself upright. Even before she started using her Super Move, she had pushed herself a little too far. All of this culminated in her water detection from her quirk waning slightly, which in turn meant that the torrent of water slammed into her knocking the wind out of her and briefly pushing her under the water. This relief turned to mild irritation as Masao managed to pull her out of the water and onto the mushroom. Coughing up some water and leaning back as she caught her breath, her eyes drifted over to the two redheads and she focused on Kiku before speaking "I owe you one." She would never admit it, but she was also talking to Masao. As much as part it bothered her when Masao spun the same line Ylva said to her back when they were fighting at Tokyo Bay she, for the first time, cracked a smile. It was a very unfriendly smile, but it was nonetheless a smile. [break][break]
At the sight of Masao aiming to protect both of them from the incoming golem Ylva took a deep breath and rose to her feet, swaying a bit on the mushroom. She was watching Masao get pushed back slowly over time and Ylva would take a step forward and place a palm on the back of her armor, leaning into it to help support the weight. She still needed to recover fully but she could manage something basic for now and if Masao fell it was all over for them. "What you're experiencing right now is a fraction of what actual heroes have to be able to handle." Ice would begin to creep up Masao's gauntlets forming a brace and offering her some extra offense. Ylva was late; when she went down with her roommates, she had been teleported to a different space than the rest and had spent her time fighting nonstop. Once she got back to the central area alongside the others, she had been told to take it easy and stay put for first aid. For what might have been the first time since coming to UAU, Ylva was going to set aside her own admittedly selfish and reclusive attitude... Kiku taking responsibility for her actions and not making a big deal about it was good enough for her. There was a surprising lack of people at UAU willing to own up to their mistakes, or if they did, they talked too much about it like Jun or Masao.[break][break]
Still, this somehow turned into a real conversation, which Ylva wasn't exactly a fan of. In fact, she was going to end it and send Kiku away until she mentioned she was a first year. If she was new then Ylva feared she'd get in trouble with the Green Club if she turned her away so she'd have to play ball, and luckily for Kiku, she wasn't nearly as bad as most of the people at this school.
