''Riiight? It's such a big question you know. And with how busy life is out here I totes get why you wouldn't have time to think about it.'' She shrugged, carefree as can be. Her eyes widened upon seeing Retsu's manic gleam, before smiling right back at the woman, letting out a cackle as she pulled the frag grenade out. ''You're insane bestie! What an answer!'' With that, the skin on Rui's arm began to unravel itself. However, no blood or guts spilled from her arm, as Rui had none. Only her skeletal hand and forearm would be left exposed as Rui's skin wrapped around one of Retsu's arms.

Soon pulses of warm healing energy would hum and and spread through Retsu's arm to her entire body. In many ways it would feel like being enveloped by an invisible blanket. In almost record time, Rui would have healed all of Retsu's injuries, even down to random joint pains or soreness that wasn't directly related to her recent wounds.

''There she is! She's the one that has been attacking our guys!'' Another team of five armed men showed up, pointing at Rui and Retsu. Judging from their reactions they were probably here for Retsu. ''New plan,'' Rui said, looking up at the guys. ''Show me how you fight again and I won't charge you my doctoring fees.'' She pointed at the five guys, keeping her index finger pointed at them as she turned to look back at Retsu. ''I'm Mummy, by the way.'' She finally stood up at her menacing 4'9 tall, placing both hands on her hips.

''Who's the other one?''

''Who cares! Prolly an accomplice, best to kill her too.'' One of the men said as he took aim and fired five bullets into Rui, the mummy villain staggering back with each bullet that sunk into her. However, rather than fall over, all the bullet wounds healed as Rui smiled back at their armed opponents. ''Gimme that!'' She laughed, unwrapping the skin on her arm and throwing it forward like a rope to latch onto his gun. ''H-Hey let go!'' She wasn't strong enough to yank it from his hands then and there, but it would definitely keep him from shooting her new bestie. ''What are you waiting for? Kill the other one!'' The guy with the gun called out, two of his goons brandishing knives as they rushed towards Retsu.

Bakiri Retsu

Another day of being Rui was another day to terrorize the general populace of Tokyo! Roaming the streets as a villain by the name of Mummy, Rui could be described as a somewhat benevolent and malicious entity. On one hand, she healed the people she came across, sometimes free of charge. On the other, sometimes she charged people absurd amounts of money after the fact, sometimes enough to send them spiraling into debt. Occasionally she also just sat and watched as people died or getting life altering injuries from getting into dumb little fights with each other.

She had been watching one such altercation about halfway into the fight. She didn't know the full context, but there was something about this woman that she liked. Maybe it was the way she moved and fought, or just the fact that she was insane enough to take on multiple guys and put it all on the line, instead of running to live another day. She grinned as the fight seemed to come to a close, hopping down from the roof she had been perched on. ''Oh my gosh it totes looks like it bestie! Lemme have a look!'' She smiled as she came running over to Retsu like they had known each other since kindergarten.

Leaning in close, Rui pressed her face up to Retsu's, her big eyes looking her over. ''Lemme ask you something bestie, try to answer me honestly, because I totes care about honesty! Do you fear death?'' She smiled mischievously.

Bakiri Retsu

Assets? Rui was almost about to ask another dumb question, but she could kind of infer what that was from Revision’s words. They guard important money-making stuff! “Yep!! I’m a fast learner too, you’ll never even see me learn that’s how fast I am!” Genius of her class, that was what Rui was. As long as you asked her and not her classmates or her former teachers. What did they know anyway!!

She grinned excitedly when Revision said it was cool, but stood at attention right after when her expression turned dark. She had a certain scary aura about her, like someone Rui didn’t want to poke too much, lest she wanted to fuck around and find out. She was also sobering up quickly over the duration of their little encounter. “Y-Yeah!! I can do that bestie! I can follow your orders and protecting people? That’s like, totes my thing! And myself too I’m a defense pro!” She just needed Revision to give her one chance. One chance to prove how super awesome and valuable the villain Mummy was. ‘‘Yeah, yeah! I can totes handle it bestie, let’s continue the conversation, it’s a really good conversation don’t you think?’’ Her desperation was starting to show, but she didn't care. She was desperate, she did want the job.

Revision

Okay so there was no alcohol but Rui was still having a ton of fun! Not like anyone could stop her from hitting up the bar after this whole thing anyway. Who knew? Maybe she could convince a few people to come with her. “Yeah bestie! We wanna break things!” She shouted in support of Taro’s proposal. When his face exploded into static, she paused, holding her breath as if she was watching a magician in action before applauding the reverse unicorn horn, whatever that was. “Is that a fight?” She grinned widely, excited to see her bestie square off against some dude with knives.

Of course the fight didn’t actually get underway, as a shot was fired, much to the amusement of Rui who was pointing and laughing, only quieting down to turn around and see who had actually taken the shot. When the mysterious strong guy asked his first question she stuck a silent thumbs up over her head. Didn’t care if he saw it or not, but he had Rui’s permission to speak. Then he immediately insulted her ideas? Umm hello? Totes rude bestie! “Childish?” She scoffed to herself with her hands on her hips, just quiet enough to make sure she wasn’t going to become the next target dummy.

She tried her best to pay attention, but suddenly they were talking about war and different people were chiming in and saying their piece. It was all well and good but she didn’t know the first thing about war, she just wanted to have fun. Her attention had almost fully drifted, but seeing her bestie Revision out there made her cheer with her arms over her head. “Preach it, bestie!”

“It’s money! Money wins wars!” She shouted, only to let out a “That was totes my second answer!” When her strong bestie finished his hypothetical question. When he pointed directly at her and said one, Rui smiled before cackling to herself as he pointed at her and said one. “The strong bestie said it, you all heard it! Mummy is number one! Heroes suck!”

When he started talking about how they could become ready for this impending war, she was excited for a brief moment, only to become confused again. An empire? How the heck do you build an empire? Thank goodness he clarified. She just had to prove she was totes useful and a winner. Easy! So Rui just had to wait to be contacted! Rui Matsui stays winning and that’s the facts! “Bye bye!” She waved at nowhere in particular as she didn’t see where the spooky strong guy disappeared off to.

“What a show! Is anyone else gonna fight?”

''Yeah yeah yeah! I'll super totes owe ya! I really need those poisons bestie!'' Didn't really matter who Tamaki would have her heal in the future, even if she told her to heal an injured hero she would do it. She would do anything for that precious poison, not that she was strong or anything. Best she could do was offer up her quirk as a healing service. Her eyes lit up as the satchel was nudged towards her. Just what kind of goodies had her bestie brought her? Poisons, sure, but they weren't just your DIY poisons or anything like that. Tamaki only brought the best of the best and Rui knew that. It was the reason she had stopped dealing with others and pretty much exclusive relied on Tamaki for these transactions. To Rui, Tamaki was like the Einstein of poison connoisseurs or something fancy like that!

''This is it! That's the stuff-'' She reached out to touch them, she wanted to see the vials up close, but before she could Tamaki pulled the satchel back. Rui pouted for a split second before she remembered. ''Payment, payment! You're right bestie!'' She reached into the front pocket of her hoodie and fished out some physical cash. There was probably a little more there than the actual price for the vials was, but Rui wasn't about to sit here and do math like some kinda nerd! ''Here, here!'' She put the money in the open claw. ''You're the best, bestie! The bestie bestie!'' She smiled.

Hoshino Tamaki

Being short was annoying, like how was she supposed to find all the booze when all these tall people were in the way? Like, come on! Help a woman out! She was starting to grow annoyed that the turn out was so big, but quickly forgot about it when she heard clapping and saw her bestie leading the charge! Without a second thought she would start clapping too, cheering Nox as he climbed on top of the table.

''Yeah! We wanna get drunk!'' She chimed in, talking? Who had time for talking! She stopped and looked at him for a moment, smiling under her facemask before taking the knife and getting on top of the table as well. Holding the knife like a microphone because that's totes what it was!! ''You got it bestie! The heroes totes have it too good! My besties are out here suffering and I'm like, what's the deal with that?'' She pointed out over the crowd at no one in particular. It was just a way to act more dramatic. ''That's why the first thing I want to do is become Prime Minister and enact a 100% sales tax against all the heroes!'' She grinned menacingly under her mask before adding, ''No wait, a 500% sales tax! And we can kill anyone who objects!'' An evil genius for sure! She spun the knife around in one hand and smiled up at Nox before looking back out over the crowd of villains. ''Who's next? How would you change the world?'' To whoever took her offer she would hand them the knife and slide back down from the table.

''Yo yo Yag-yo!'' Rui turned around and threw up devil horns with her hand when she saw Yagyo approaching. ''Riiiight? Now I know all the party people are gonna be here!'' There were so many new friends here that Rui hadn't met yet, but she was glad to see her old friends were notorious enough to get invited too. ''Yakshi!'' She exclaimed happily when Umeko showed up, before letting out a ''Whaaaaat'' in protest when she pulled on her robe and urged her to go inside. ''But my bestie!'' Upon hearing that he would feel better once he stopped holding the door her eyes lit up. ''You will?! That's totes fire, Noxie! Oh- and remember!! If it hurts in your tummy, feel free to call Mummy!'' She giggled as she started going inside with Umeko and Yagyo, waving back at Nox one last time before calling out. ''Bestie bye-bye!'' In English.

There were so many different people around, Rui could hardly keep track, not that she was going to either, not when such pretty lights and voices were talking to them, like something straight out of a sci-fi!! ''Is this a concert or something?'' She looked to both Yagyo and Umeko. Maybe there was some additional information Rui had skipped over! When UnKnown took the stage, Rui applauded her at maximum volume regardless of how loud or silent the rest of the room was.

"Big shots in the industry that has been oppressed for so long. Forced to secret back alley meetings. And isn't that just sad?"

''It is bestie! It's the saddest!'' She chimed in, playing up the sadness in her tone and when she finally exited the stage she called out one last time. ''Wooo!! UnKnown bestie!!!'' Rui couldn't pinpoint it, but somehow, somewhere she felt some kind of terrifying presence. She wasn't going to act on it though, honestly where was she even supposed to start looking with this many people?! ''You know what's really going to spice this party up? Alcohol! Maybe there's food too? Let's look around!'' Now she was the one trying to pull on Umeko and Yagyo to follow her. They were told to mingle? Rui was totes gonna mingle!! Maybe if she was lucky a fight would break out too.
