[attr="class","likedotitle2"]Site Event - Raid of Takamagahara: The Timeline!
[attr="class","likedoinfo"]
Hi all! With the Event, Preludes concluded, we're posting a timeline for the next event so everyone can be prepared and ask any nonspoiler questions they might have![break]
For those of you, old or new, who weren't aware this upcoming event will be a finale to the last years events including: [The Elementals], [MAWS], [Dream World Part 1] and [Dream World Part 2], and [Island Adventures] [IA Boss Fights, included!][break]
The Preludes that connect those events to this one can be found by clicking the links below:
[The Deconstruction of the Tower]
[The Remnants of the Ragnarockers]
[The Facility]
Similar to how Dream World was split into parts, this will be similar, except we're calling these phases, and below you can find a spoiler-free explanation as to why!
Phase 1 will have a combination of prompts, of which there will be at minimum six different ones to choose from, and something new we're testing we're calling 'Dynamic Open Threads'
These 'Dynamic Open Threads' will have a unique gimmick where you (yes, you!), the player, can drop in and drop out of these threads and move between them as you see fit! There will be at least three of these threads, which will be ‘semi-moderated.’
By semi-moderated, they will work like this. Every once in a while, we’ll throw in some obstacles that won't be the big mod posts you might be used to in the other events we've had so far. For example, “New Nomu entered, this Nomu can fire ice from its back.” We'll then let the rest of the participants take it from there!
We'll also have a master list (which will be pinned!). Whenever someone leaves a thread to join another or vice versa, we'll update the master list to show where everyone is at a given time.
We’ll also chime in (we being the staff team) with posts that are simple and to the point e.g., ‘Retsu has left Thread 1 and Moved to Thread 2.’ ‘Kei and Masao have joined Thread 1, ’ etc., etc.
The intention behind this is to have drop-in/drop-out threads where (because they're open) people can jump in whenever they need to support others, like using tactics or sending people with favorable matchups against opponents and vice versa. Hopefully, it'll provide a unique experience where the raid feels like an actual raid/war and not just isolated pockets where you fight/have an objective independent of everyone else participating.
How these work within our system will be explained in the bullets below
While we can't share all the details, the gist of Phase 2 is as follows:
- It will go live AT LEAST a month after Phase 1 starts (Might be more depending on external factors)
- It will have moderated threads that are boss fights (similar to Island Adventure Boss fights)
- You will definitely see some familiar faces as the enemies you go against ;)
- You will be allowed (but not required) to pick the groups you participate with (tentatively a minimum of 3 people to a maximum of 5)
- The approximate quantifiable strength of these bosses will range from your average 50k (Advanced) start to 100k (expert) start.
- Will have a posting deadline (with skips being included)
- Code Name: Super Bosses
- Toughest challenge you're going to face this event, with teamwork being essential
- It is not Death Enabled, of course, but IC consequences, if you win or fail, will determine the trajectory of the site and impact future site events.
- Will have a tighter posting window (not recommended for those who aren't able to keep to a deadline)
- Will go live later than the other two phases [TBD]

How these work within our system will be explained in the bullets below
- When it comes to the token reward, you need to make the minimum number of total posts in the Dynamic Opens per character in ANY thread. This means that you could do two posts in the first thread, move to the second, and do the rest of your posts there. When we put up the opens, we'll have the actual post minimum listed!
- These Dynamic Opens have no posting rotation or posting deadline. You're welcome to participate as much or as little as you want!
- You'll need to notify staff if you intend to swap threads at any point! We'll add you to the master list of who is where at any given time!
- Phase 1 will run throughout the full event from the drop date until the end of the next season (June 2025). This means you can claim your tokens this season OR next, whichever works out for you!
- These Prompts and Dynamic Opens will likely drop around September 2024.
