"You've said that already." Rui did indeed say that the last time they met, and the time before that, and the time before that. She was persistent that was for sure, but largely ineffective. To be fair she had improved and Ylva could acknowledge that, she hadn't figured out Ylva's powers that was for sure, but she had gotten a bit faster. Before it was like she was fighting a cartoon, but there were some closer calls this time. If she hadn't learned to use her ice more defensively then Rui probably would have taken a chunk out of her arm.[break][break]
The onslaught, however, would continue as Ylva didn't let up, raining down ice shards from above. She didn't have to worry about collateral damage or accidentally killing Rui which was cathartic in its own way. UAU, at times, felt too fragile, and she had to be more mindful (not that anyone would believe that) not seriously hurt someone. Doing so risked another expulsion but here she was justified in her actions. [break][break]
The doors to the building swung open, and some police raised their guns; when they didn't have sight of Rui, some went around the back, and Ylva would stop her attack to let them through, dropping the ice shield in the process. She would immediately pull out her student I.D and raise another hand to make sure they didn't view her as a threat "Ylva Riis, Second Year at UAU. She went that way." she would point to the door that had swung open during her assault and then went through the process of being submitted for questioning. Andy was sure to give her some dumbass speech, but maybe next time she'd just have her come with. Her two biggest annoyances would kill each other which was a win win in her book. [break][break]

Ugh this was the worst. Working with people was the worst. Talking to people was the worst. She didn't mean working hard but she preferred to do it alone and with the little devil over there she was getting more and more customers. Still, she had found a good way to blow off steam, which was to taunt Rui whenever she ran into her...which was a lot.[break][break]
"You're right. This is no competition." She would gesture to the much longer line she had. Taking down orders and having them ready at lightning-fast speeds. When she didn't have to use her quirk, Ylva could move quickly if she wanted to, and what better way to do so than because of spite? It was the best motivator out there.[break][break]
She'd raise an eyebrow at Rui's new outfit. From her perspective it looked like an attempt at self-deprecation, but she knew Rui was too dumb to realize that. She'd stop for a moment looking across the way "Nice shirt."[break][break]

"You talk too much." Which was absolutely true. She was like the inverse of Andy, but they were cut from the same cloth. If there was a higher power or multiple ones, she was sure a particular one had made both Rui and Andy from the same ingredients. She would continue to creep up the chill making sure the knife was frozen to Rui's hand and when the retaliation came she used a larger snap freeze to turn the area around the knife into a frozen orb, which allowed her to block it with her own hand and give a strong shove to put some distance between them. The sounds of sirens drew closer which meant that their confrontation was coming to an end.[break][break]
The flying blade from the blender didn't come as much of a surprise, but Rui admitting she didn't have a weapon stronger than the knife that Ylva had already neutered was laughable. Well, would be laughable if Ylva had a sense of humor. It was more stupid than anything else. "We're done here." She had learned a lot from her past exercises, forming another ice barrier around her similar to the one she used in HRS to deflect the blade. If she couldn't hit Rui from below then she'd try the air, forming pockets of ice similar to what she used during MAWS she would let the sheets rain down in the area, as she was protected from her own saturation attack in her ice shell.[break][break]

You had to be a little crazy to be a hero, but you had to be mentally unwell to try and take up villainy in this society. If you couldn't be the strongest, then you needed to have a good fight or flight response; Rui seemed to be the exception. In her previous encounters, Ylva had used moves that should have outright killed her, and yet she was here. Whether they both knew it or not, they were destined to clash one day in what would likely be their final confrontation. [break][break]

She had pulled some tricks out before, so Ylva was ready for anything Rui was going to send her way. Her first swing was a miss and Ylva was none the wiser. The second was another miss but her eyes narrowed as something seemed...off. This came to fruition on the third one as she intentionally let go of the bat, making it look like an accident, and struck the pitcher. As everyone rushed to help, Ylva slowly headed towards Rui but was too late to catch her. She had ducked into a crowd and due to her atypical body Ylva wasn't able to track her. Instinctively she knew this wasn't going to be the last she'd seen her, although she hoped otherwise. Her team had won and while everyone else celebrated in ignorance Ylva was on high alert, waiting for the inevitable retaliation that would come. Just not that day.[break][break]

Rui had been backed into a corner and just as Ylva had expected she would lash out. It was a win win for her regardless of what she did. If Rui decided to go on the offensive not only could Ylva use her quirk to subdue her, but she had tons of Pro Heroes around to help her if need be. If she performed well, she was sure this would end up with internship offers only furthering her goal. If Rui decided to keep her mouth shut, then Ylva had won in her own way...it was almost cathartic after her experience with Andy, Jun, and Gen in the last event.[break][break]

She was clearly immature and a little bit crazy so there was no shot she would actually listen to anything Ylva said. In most cases this might be a problem, but Ylva didn't like to talk more than she had to and especially not to villains. Once she had her proper hero license, it would be her job to arrest someone like her.[break][break]
Rui was indeed faster than before as Ylva's previous attack from their last encounter missed. Just as Rui had increased her skills so had Ylva; the scar she received during Dream World ached as she was reminded about what she lacked during that encounter. She would coat her arm with ice from her quirk, letting the knife scrape off just the excess, which gave her a new target. She aimed for the knife Rui was holding, coating it in ice stemming from the initial bit, and would creep the rest of it slowly towards her arm. [break][break]

As they took off on the toboggan, Ylva would focus her senses, trying to get an idea of how many teams were ahead of them. It would have been presumptuous to assume that no one could escape the trap that was set up and by the extra signatures she was getting she was correct. When she said she intended to sign up for every event - she meant it.[break][break]
Much to her own detriment she was signed up for ABCs clearly an event which was centered around support students. This became more apparent once she realized that she didn't recognize anyone else in the waiting area except for one guy....oh no.[break][break]

The derision from the other students who were now trapped was ignored by Ylva. Anyone worth it could have avoided such an obvious trap; as soon as the oil spill happened, they should have left the area. She was safe in her little ice bubble, with the onslaught of mechanical and real tendrils slowing down as the others made their moves. They were good at drawing attention from Scylla and her minions that was for sure, which in Ylvas eyes was the only benefit of teamwork - human shields.[break][break]
She didn't need to step outside of her little bubble to keep on attacking, and she was maintaining the gradual ice creeping up on the tendrils. A request for a team attack wasn't something she was interested in until she realized it meant she could go all out and end this, disregarding her teammates in the process and ending things. "Not my fault if you get hurt."She would wait for Michael to provide the opening and then would concentrate focusing all her external energy around the two of them and snapping her finger, sheets of ice coming out of thin air and forming around the duo. If Michael was successful in his attempt this would likely be checkmate.[break][break]

"I think you're the beginner here." She would say flatly as she went back to the bench to let the next person up to bat. She didn't expect much from her fellow students as usual, but she was now more concerned about winning. Rui was annoying and if she wanted her ejected from the festival entirely, without causing a scene, she just needed to have her do it herself. As arrogant as Ylva could be, she still respected the hero system and intended to uphold it.[break][break]
She would keep an eye on Rui watching her continually get frustrated over her lack of striking anyone out until it was time to swap. In the spirit of the Sports Festival, each change up, there was a brief intermission where people would chat, stretch, grab a few drinks, etc.[break][break]
With the least subtly possible, she watched as Rui hatched a scheme to poison everyone's drinks, and this prompted Ylva to get ahead of it by grabbing a bunch of drinks and uncharacteristically handed them out to her team much to their surprise. Ylva would face Rui when she approached and as she was handed a drink she'd point to the rest of her team "Unfortunately we've already had our drinks and I cooled them personally." A bit of frost would be shown on Rui's own poisoned drink "Here, have this one."[break][break]
