Miroru remained out of sight precisely long enough for Farrin to capitalize on the instant of freedom to tip the battle powerfully in their favor, the freezing rounds driving back the musclebound hero into the decceleration field, and allowing Miroru to appear in front of him, rage lacing her expression.
"My name."
She shifted her stance, widened it, designed for pure, relentless offense as she finished her sentence with a snarl.
"IS MIRORU!"
Depending on how sharp Farrin's hearing was, he might catch an odd irregularity to the sound of Miroru absolutely taking off the kid gloves and laying into this horrific imitation of her old man. She threw her punches, and there was the flat, muffled thud of dull impact on flesh- and the briefest instant later, a second thump, as if her punches were landing twice! Her gauntlets, exposed as her blows peeled back her sleeves, were working overtime, converting every blow into electrical power via piezoelectric crystals, and pumping that power straight into force generators adding blasts of sheer kinetic energy as kickers to each of her rapid-fire punches! The blows started to generate muffled snaps as the copy's ribs started to crack, and a twisting leap drove her fist- complete with another doubled impact- into the underside of his jaw, sending Incapacitor reeling backwards and collapsing. Her father was the thing Miroru was most afraid of- but the Achilles heel of the technique at work was that it was also what she'd trained hardest to take down. Her father was many things, but durable wasn't particularly one of them, and all she needed to exploit that was the opening Farrin gave-
Miroru's eyes went wide as she felt the heat signatures of everyone Corvidae was sending at once, twisting to scream towards Farrin.
"MORE INCOMING!!!!!"

"Yes, stand up to it. I dunno what your quirk does, but at the very least I can help mitigate the damage it does for the time being, until some real heroes get here," Miroru insisted. "I get it if you're not down for that, but I-"
She didn't have to finish. Auden signed on as well, and she nodded, grateful for his reassurance, and flashing him a thumbs up as she waved for him to follow and took off towards the front lines!
The first shock came as the kid she'd had to protect showed up and engulfed himself in flames before dropping dramatic one-liners- and then going blank in the middle of the street, leaving her mentally adding him to the list of targets she had to protect as this went on. She wasn't sure what was going on, but he was TRYING to help, and she wasn't gonna let him get roasted just for doing the right thing.
Or. Well. Attempting it.
Rui's excited yell startled Miroru, who stared back, wide-eyed. "You're... the... weird nurse who tried to give me-" She paused and looked at Yagyo and pointed a finger at both of them. "Hey! You're with Night Parade! You really WERE trying to poison me in the hospital! Are you why a whole bunch of people got sick that day?!"
Said Night Parade ended up mid-air thanks to one of the fireballs she hadn't been fast enough to eat, which hurled them to the side into some rubble, where they promptly raised a small army to back up The Nurse, who- crazy as it was... charged in... with a knife. Not even the ONLY knife on the field! People were crazy out here!!!
"Aw, -great,-" muttered Miroru as the Inferno ate the infrared blast, making note that she'd have to find some other way to fight it. "So, tug of war it is." She really didn't like that idea. She could spark pressure waves with dense heat pellets, or try draining it directly, or she could always...
No. No no no. She wouldn't. Not even now. She'd find some other way to fight than leaning on THAT.
A hail of fire went out towards the monster parade, and Miroru let that slide, choosing to preserve her stamina for attacks at real people, which she got almost immediately, as the creature rushed at Miroru directly!
To everyone else, the scene was a nightmare- the girl stalling out the worst of the flames reeled back in terror as the Inferno barrelled down on her with that weird, yellow flame on its fist, stock still right up until the fist slammed into her- and through.
Miroru, meanwhile, peered down from on top of a 2nd floor balcony, only her eyes left out of the light cloak hiding her from sight. The time it'd taken to deal with the monsters and move past Rui had given her time to duck out and leave behind an projected image for him to slug- and hopefully give some hints as to what the yellow flame did if he hit the concrete when he whiffed!
Interactions with the others, then Miroru uses her speed and reflexes to block light from reaching her, and replaces herself with a hologram as she relocates up onto a nearby balcony using her Skywalkers, analyzing the yellow flame with her quirk to see if she can detect any changes to how it puts off infrared heat or other EM phenomena, and buying time to see what the heck the yellow flame does when/if it hits the concrete where she'd been standing!

"Mm? I am, yes. Why do you ask?" Miroru tipped her eyes up to peer at this lady through her fluffy bangs, unsure what in the world she could be interested in over here. Miroru herself was perched on a bench in a quiet corner of a little metropolitan park, and being approached by a stranger was unusual to be sure.
"Folie... is that french? Like the whole "madness of two" thing?" Now Miroru was starting to get uncomfortable. That felt like a villain name. "I don't know what to believe. I think there's no evidence of any physical matter or energy leaving the body on death so I lean towards no, but it's more of a "I don't see any evidence to suggest otherwise" than a firm belief based on any facts."
Miroru shifted her weight to be more ready to move if she needed to defend herself. Better ready for no reason than offguard when necessary. "Is there something I can help you with, miss?"

"Hajimemashite, Kanjo-san~" Miroru stated, dipping in a perfect, polite little bow of greeting. "You're welcome! I'm happy to be here! And you SHOULD be proud! Why, little Jun-bug had a whole LIST of friends she went through before she asked me~ but you know how it is, there's so many demands on time and energy, everyone else was occupied -just- right now." There wasn't any sass in Miroru's tone, just a gentle tease that she'd noticed she'd been at the end of that list, turned into a bolstering pat on the back for her father's delight in her social life and a prod at her nickname all at once.
"Oh, no! Please, don't apologize. It's the sort of thing I think I'd have adored, if my family had had much in the way of time for me. What with my older brothers taking up all my dad's time, though, it just wasn't in the cards, you know?" Her tone was couched carefully to keep things light. The comments were sincere, but she also didn't want to delve into any pity or such silliness on a happy occasion such as this one!
"So! I haven't been to this museum before! Is there a particular display we're hoping to see this afternoon~?"

As Farrin was slammed to the ground by the force of gravity itself, Miroru stood stock still, staring in fear down the alley at her father. He strode towards the pair, cracking his knuckles. There was no lightning to be seen. Miroru knew he knew better than to feed her quirk. And Miroru knew he knew he didn't need it to get the better of her.
The fight was over with one lunge.
The towering mass of muscle and malice hurled his fist forwards to grab his child by the throat- and grabbed nothing but air, lurching a step past where he'd intended, scowling abruptly in shock as his hand disrupted the convincing image of Miroru, revealing it as a fraud.
Miroru stood in darkness, hidden from the light entirely, feeling the whole scene play out. She'd bolted out of position the moment that they'd been ambushed by bodies that hadn't been there. That wasn't possible. Or- it was, quirks existed, but it meant something had HAPPENED. They hadn't simply been outmaneuvered.
Her heart was hammering, horrified, in her chest. This was the worst possible version of her father, and that... suggested things. She didn't know who Farrin's opponent was, but they were clearly powerful, and familiar, horribly so. She'd had the same reaction. That was... PROBABLY beyond coincidence. Besides, she knew her father hated her, but not so much as he loved his reputation. This was too exposed. One person with a cell phone could ruin his life right now.
All the same, clearly something was being carried over. Her father wasn't using his quirk, but the other was. So her father's mimic knew not to throw her power to use, but clearly not the extent of her tricks. Which made sense, she'd hidden precisely that from her father lest he cotton on to the ways she evaded him.
And THAT, suggested these were taken from what THEY knew of these PEOPLE.
And THAT meant they were LIMITED.
Darkness shot up around the figure of Incapacitor, locking him out of the light as well as out of the sight of Balor. As it did, blows began to rain on Incapacitor. Not particularly powerful ones- Miroru wasn't particularly strong physically after all- but fast strikes, inconsistent ones, that allowed neither prediction of a rhythm or an easy guess at location. She was locked into a knife's-edge duel between his reactive flailing and her own predictive abilities and evasive skills, but ultimately, in and of themselves, these blows weren't going to do much more than piss him off.
Which, ultimately, was exactly what she wanted to have happen.
"GYAAAAGH!!! MAMORU, YOU FUCKING COWARD! IF YOU WON'T STAND AND FIGHT LIKE A MAN-" He howled, his tone vicious and vindictive as crackling power rose in the air around him. "-THEN I'LL MAKE YOUR FRIEND CAN FRY LIKE ONE!"
He hurled a bolt of titanic, literal lightning, straight towards Farrin's locked position. The father Miroru knew had no idea she'd developed her quirk as much as she had. He had no reason to suspect there'd be any reason NOT to unleash a torrent of electrical force at full power. The child HE knew had never been able to stop it before.
So when the bolt of lightning curled around Farrin and shot straight for Balor instead in Miroru's best attempt to break Balor's hold on Farrin himself, it was likely as much a shock to Incapacitor as it was Balor himself.
Would it work? Was it even powerful enough to stop Balor from locking down his son? Miroru had no idea. But she couldn't clear the scene without at least TRYING to save Farrin from this nightmare.

Miroru chose to make her own way across town rather than take the bus or train. This had a couple advantages, and a couple downsides. For one, she was moving entirely under her own power, so it certainly wasn't as effortless as taking a seat on the train. More importantly, though, she got to travel as the crow flies without any consideration for traffic, stops, or obstructions for the most part.
Primarily because she was running right above the rooftops.
Before too long, Miroru got close enough to skip down to street level and take a break to catch her breath and fix her hair, determined to make a good impression on Jun's family- only to arrive to that peculiar standoff and the terminology that was clearly some sort of mental wargame she had no context for.
"Heeeeeeeeeeeeeey, guyyyyyyyyyys," she forced out as she approached, doing her damnedest not to make it any more awkward than necessary. "How goes the, uh... mental warfare..?"

There wasn't much for the two to react to before the danger was fully present. Miroru knew the radio contact was ongoing, but nothing moved in towards them. It wasn't as if they had radio'd in support. There was simply nothing, and then the fog was upon them.
"Oh, we CAN be. And we ARE."
This came from the other end of the street, from a tower of muscle, bravado, and disdain. The tone itself was the very picture of self-obsessed arrogance, no respect for the mere children he addressed whatsoever.
"I should have known Mamoru's taste in companions hadn't improved. I finally decide to cleanse my name of this pest's existence, and what help does he have? Some foreign filth."
Miroru stared wide-eyed, shocked beyond response as Incapacitor squared off opposite Balor.
"Doesn't matter. You'll BREAK just as nicely as the PEST."

"Mmh... if you say so, Sensei," Miroru murmured, clearly still feeling out of sorts over her mistake, but willing to accept the direction to relax all the same.
"Future enemy? He's already my enemy, sensei. He's made that clear since I didn't develop his stupid, brutal quirk like the rest of my brothers." She slumped back in her seat and looked out the window sullenly. "Coming out wasn't any better. He still tells any press that ask about me that he hasn't got a daughter. He does everything he can to undermine my accomplishments and tear me down because what I have didn't come from him and so I'm just- I dunno. Useless to his ego, I guess."
Miroru shrugged faintly at the suggestion to find others like herself. "And how would you go about doing that yourself, sensei? Finding people whose parents dropped them like a hot coal because they weren't useful in supporting their narcisstic legacy? Is there a school club for that? How many of them have to see their abuser in the news every week? If you've got ideas, I'm happy to hear them, but from where I'm sitting, it just sounds like a glib boilerplate response to a situation that's a lot more complex than "find a support group, nerd.""
An awkward pause followed, and she sighed hard. "... not that you put it anywhere near that indelicately. I just- I don't even have the first idea how I'd go about finding anyone with a bead on what it's been like, so to hear that as what's supposed to be some sort of easy common-sense fix just... burns."

"Sure! I think that's how heroes usually do it- layer laps over the same territory so baddies can't just wait til they pass and then creep out of hiding," Miroru guessed, following along calmly. "Exactly! When you've got the safety, happiness, and livelihoods of people all around you in your hands, you gotta take it serious and take your time."
As Hyousuke pointed out the exchange, Miroru frowned, sighing internally. She didn't LIKE drugs, but she felt it was often over-criminalized, depending on the substance in question. Now didn't seem the time to get into the nitty gritty, anyhow, though, and she spread her senses out.
"Feels like... there's a few more. There's some recessed basement stairs, and someone lounging around the corner on the main thoroughfare. So really, there's six we'd be against- assuming I didn't miss anybody, anyway. Are you confident you can handle that many with my backup?"
Miroru phrased it as carefully as she could. She didn't want to imply she expected him to handle all of them, nor that she was going to manage it all on her own, either.

"Makes sense, to be sure. Better than to have nobody know at all, but... still. What a weight to bear," Miroru murmured quietly.
"Oh, uh. Hm. I'd never really considered that. I guess I'm kinda lucky my quirk plays by rules I can study, huh?" The genuine surprise in Miroru's voice made it clear that she'd never considered herself particularly lucky on the draw before.
Miroru frowned faintly as she picked up a radio broadcast from the rooftops nearby. It wasn't on any of the official channels she was aware of, either, the frequency wasn't right. She couldn't tell what was being said- or if the person up there was even concerned with them at all- but she could keep watch, and inform Farrin.
A little flicker in his vision. A tiny spark of light, forming words designed to be read by him and just him.
[Someone's on the roof with a radio. No idea who they are or what they're saying, but it's not any hero or police channels. I've got an eye on the surroundings, but be ready, just in case.]

As Auden hit the streets, he'd more likely than not run into Miroru dispersing and devouring the fireballs crashing down onto their street. As well, of course, he'd have eyes on Rui and Yagyo engaging the fiend as if he was a hero there to stop them.
Miroru, meanwhile, noted all of them, including Kyōshū tumbling agilely to the side, a familiar face from a momentary encounter. "Hey! You gotta run, dude!" She yelled at him, remembering needing to protect him from thugs previously. As she spoke, light manifested against the concrete of the street, illustrating the fastest and safest paths out of the line of fire for him and anyone else in the vicinity.
"Pretty boy! You were at the mixer, right? You're a student, too?" She called over at Auden, bracing herself. "I'm- I'm gonna stand up to this thing. I don't blame you if you want to get out of here, though. If you bolt, try to help some people get to cover on the way, okay? I lit up the safest routes with the least line of sight to that asshole! And if not- then let's find a way to stop this!"
That was all the time and breath she had for talk. She pivoted on the spot and started to run, her footsteps carrying her off the ground and into the air just above car height so she could sprint straight towards Rui, Yagyo, and the monster they were so confusingly challenging!
There was so much happening. So much flame and heat. So much danger, so much- death and pain. Miroru kept feeling it. Moving bodies disappearing in the blaze of infrared flames. Buildings crumbling and crushing those warm bodies into shapes that didn't even resemble people anymore. Every life that ticked out spiked Miroru's consciousness, drove a nail into her sense of right and wrong, chipping away at her trust in humanity.
From the Inferno's perspective, there were two moments.
One where he'd just incinerated someone to his own amusement.
And then the one that started with a word. Distant and growled.
"You..." The Inferno probably felt it before it happened. The pressure, the pull on all those flames it had left unattended. It was clearly tremendously powerful, and in a direct contest, it likely could even have overpowered what came next, but as a surprise attack, it was likely shocking. A heartbeat, and those wildfires in the area all just DIED as their infrared heat was ripped away, the combustion abruptly lacking the energy to sustain the reactions as the heat slammed into Miroru, her wrists releasing a dramatic burst of steam as she pushed her quirk to hold all that energy as she unleashed it as well as her voice, adding a horrified shriek of fury as she converted the infrared heat into a torrent of unadulterated light aimed at what looked like the chest of the flaming demon!
"MONSTER!!!" Miroru recognizes Kyōshū, warns him to run; recognizes Auden, tells him to come with her or try to help others escape; doesn't quite recognize Rui at such a distance, but sprints closer, then puts out the flames around her all at once by absorbing their infrared heat (which is all flames are) and converting it to a big fuck-off laser aimed at the demon!
It's totally fine if it doesn't do much besides maybe knock it around, I'm not trying to end the fight, just have a proper horrified reaction to widespread casual murder!

"History museum?"
Miroru made a bit of a face. History museums weren't... AWFUL... but they tended to be kinda dry. Science museums had a tendency to have hands-on stuff, art museums could be enjoyed entirely at one's own pace, but history museums tended to have, like. Corollary stuff you had to read to understand the significance of the items on display.
But Junsuina was her senpai, her friend, and she didn't-
Wait. All her other friends?!
Miroru puffed her cheeks out, weighing the implications. First implication, she WAS an acknowledged friend, and that was awesome! On the other hand... she tried everyone else first?!
Eh, it was fine. They were still pretty new friends.

Miroru chewed on her lower lip as she stood with several others in one of the alleys in Shibuya. She'd been on her way to try to find some cheaper stores to get some new clothes with the pittance of pocket change she'd been sent by some of her more sympathetic relatives, but she'd been distracted by the broadcast of the Elementalist's trial. His final pronouncement was ominous in the extreme, and those crowded around the cheap TV set outside the sketchy cafe looked at each other nervously in its aftermath.
Being neither familiar, nor in the heart of that group, Miroru peeled off and kept walking back towards the train station to head back to the school. She hadn't had much luck, unfortunately, and she'd lost patience in seeing price tags with extra zeroes she couldn't aff-
The fox's ears went upright abruptly, stopping dead in the mouth of an alley. Something was wrong. She could sense a tremendous amount of infrared heat screaming underground, but that wasn't possi-
The street melted and erupted, releasing some sort of screeching monstrosity, howling about its freedom and unleashing literal hell onto the streets. Miroru's brain scrambled in the first second or two, shocked by the sudden outbreak of violence, but instinct bit its way to the surface an instant later, and as a scant few of those fireballs soared towards her particular street, she threw her hands out, clenching them into fists as she drew those fireballs racing towards the buildings near her and redirected them all towards herself. As the handful of blazes hurtled downwards, she drew her arms back- and shoved them forwards last second, smashing the front half of the majority of the fireballs right back into the rest of the flames, erasing each in a splashing twist of plasma. The last couple crashed directly into her palms- and vanished in a haze of sparks, devoured by the petite fox's quirk and metabolized into a couple bands of light stored around her wrists, glowing angrily as she fought to keep herself from freaking out as the cinders settled around her.
She shoved a hand in her pocket and pulled up the emergency report app on her phone, mashing the panic button to turn on her GPS and pair her own declaration of villain activity with her GPS location, adding it to the no doubt hundreds or thousands of identical reports already going out.
In the back of her head, she was screaming. This was what she'd always tried to avoid, blatant heroic action without proper licensing. She was still a student and the last thing she wanted was to get nailed for vigilante work before she could finish her courses. But- she couldn't not. She couldn't stand by and let it all just happen. She could help... so she was going to. She had to, and she started by looking around for anyone that might help- or that might be working with the flaming wretch!I can pay no price too great for justice.
